KINGMAX Announces A New Line Of SSDs ‘SMQ’

Here comes a new line of SSDs from KINGMAX, the SMQ. Available in three different storage capacities including 120GB, 240GB and 480GB, these slim 2.5-inch SSDs (7mm thick) are packed with TLC NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, built-in ECC technology to prevent data error, S.M.A.R.T function for health monitoring, a powerful wear leveling algorithm to enhance lifetime and a MTBF (Mean Time Before Failure) of 1.2 million hours.

In terms of performance, the SMQ SSDs promise to deliver read/write speeds of up to 500/350 MB/s (120GB model), 500/380 MB/s (240GB model) and 500/380 MB/s (480GB model), respectively. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing yet. [Product Page]

Available in capacities ranging from 64GB to 512GB, these 2.5-inch SSDs are packed with MLC NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, a SandForce controller, built-in ECC technology, TRIM support, a MTBF of 1.2 million hours and capable of delivering read/write speeds of up to 550/500 MB/s (64GB model) and 550/520 MB/s (128GB, 256GB & 512GB models), respectively.
