Life Size Spider-Man Statue: I Am Iron Spider-Man

Do you know what your foyer has been missing? A superhero to greet you after a long day’s work. And what better superhero for the job than your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man? Thankfully, Queen Studios has you covered with this full-scale Spider-Man in Iron Spider suit statue. Just don’t go using him as a coat rack!

Constructed out of polystone, the full-scale Spidey is a limited edition of 299 and measures 192 cm (~6’4″) tall, including the lighted base. The statue is entirely hand-painted in metallic blue and red with gold trim, with internally lit accents in Spider-Man’s eyes, palms, and armor. However, he does not come with the Iron Spider suit’s mechanical legs though, so you’ll have to build and add those yourself. I’d suggest using cardboard and coat hangers.

Unfortunately, for anyone interested in a full-scale Spider-Man but doesn’t have Tony Stark kind of money, the statue costs $7,060. That’s a little bit out of my life-size superhero statue budget right now. Honestly, based on the overdraft fee I just got a text alert about, I can’t even afford one of those cardboard cutouts they have on display at the movie theater. What do you say – want to help me pull the old ‘tall man in a trench coat’ trick to go see Spider-Man: No Way Home?

LEGO Halo SPNKR Replica: Boom Bricks

LEGO enthusiast Nick Brick made this formidable life-size replica of the M41 SPNKR, one of the classic weapons from the Halo franchise. Just look at it. You don’t even need to know a thing about Halo to love it.

Nick says he spent about two months making the toy rocket launcher. It’s made of about 6,000 LEGO pieces, measures 50.5″ long and weighs 24lb. Its distinctive double barrel unit is also removable.

Fan Made Bioshock Rapture Records Bin: Ryan’s Songbin

Redditor UpgradeTech has a growing collection of video game vinyl records, and is a fan of Art Deco style. So they thought they’d store their collection in an appropriate container: the bin from Bioshock‘s Rapture Records. But UpgradeTech didn’t just make the bin based on screenshots. They went to great and sometimes morbid lengths to come up with a faithful replica.

UpgradeTech extracted the virtual bin’s model from the game to get a better idea of its construction. But they still needed a way to figure out its dimensions, so UpgradeTech “dragged over a corpse for scale. It comes to about chest-high.” That’s cold.

UpgradeTech copied the model in Autodesk Inventor to make it easier to figure out the parts that they needed. Check out the rest of the build log in the gallery below. Towards the end of the gallery you’ll see UpgradeTech’s video game records, which include vinyls from all three Bioshock games as well as ones from Fallout, Wolfenstein and XCOM.

I hope UpgradeTech builds the corpse for Halloween.

LEGO Black Ops 3 KRM-262 Shotgun: Pumped Up Bricks

LEGO weaponsmith MyDifferentUserName made a life-size replica of the KRM-262, the powerful futuristic shotgun from Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. It’s moving parts will one-hit kill you with their awesomeness.

The replica has a folding stock, a pumpable hand grip and plates that move outward to make way for the barrel, which has room for a (LEGO) shell. Fellow LEGO weapon maker Nick Brick designed the model’s complicated reload mechanism.

Belated happy birthday dude!

In their The RPF thread, Show and Tell Props said the replica is completely hand tooled, with the base parts made out of MDF and oak. It also has electronics to replicate the gun’s nixie tube charge indicator.

One of the replica’s best features is its worn out and rusted finish, which Show and Tell Props achieved with the help of Sculpt Noveau coating and patina.

Life-size Juggernog Fridge Replica: Merch-A-Cola

When Jelssin needs to feel big and strong, he can reach for Juggernog tonight. Or any night. The PS4 owner and Call of Duty fan recently won a real-life replica of the Juggernog refrigerator from CoD’s Zombies mode, courtesy of Super-Gamer Builds.

Super-Gamer Builds bought a brand new fridge then put their modding skills to work. The fridge plays the Juggernog jingle when its door is opened, and the bottle opener also plays a sound effect when it’s used. Since there’s space in the fridge anyway, Jelssin also got softdrink versions of the other perks. You can skip to 8:15 to see the finished fridge.

Yeah that was awkward.

Life-size LEGO BB-8 is Worth a Ton of Portions

Well now I’m sad that I used the lighter pun on the tiny LEGO BB-8. LEGO certified builders Bright Bricks built this awesome life-size model of BB-8 for the UK premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

He’s also a bit of a BB-Q – there’s a rod that goes through the model’s head and body to secure them to the base.

Here’s BB-8 on display, along with what appear to be life-size LEGO models of Kylo Ren and Rey. I don’t know if Bright Bricks built those two as well.

3D Printed Fallout Power Armor Helmet: Science!

Thanks to Daniel Lilygreen, we don’t have to wait for a nuclear war to break out to craft part of a Power Armor. He designed a 3D printable, life-size and wearable T-45d helmet, and he’s sharing his files for free.

Daniel says the helmet is made of 49 items, which in turn form 12 main pieces that you can dowel together. Since you’ll be printing the helmet, you don’t have to find magazines to customize its color. That doesn’t even make sense in post-nuclear Boston.

Anovos Captain Phasma Life-size Helmet: Chrome Dome

After the First Order stormtrooper – formtrooper? – and Kylo Ren, it’s Captain Phasma’s turn to have her helmet turned into an officially licensed life-size prop. Like the other helmets, Anovos made this one based on files and props used in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The helmet is made mostly out of fiberglass but has “metalized elements” and a weathered but shiny finish.

Until 1/31/16, you can pre-order the helmet from Anovos for $679 (USD), after which it will cost $800. I think it’s the best-looking helmet in the ranks of the First Order, but overall I’m baffled that it costs $100 more than the Kylo Ren helmet.
