3D-printed attachment turns your foamed handwash soap into Mickey Mouse!

In what possibly may be the most ingenious way to get kids to wash their hands more thoroughly and often, Slic3DArt’s Mickey Soap Dispenser Attachment turns that blob of foam into the silhouette of the most famous mouse in the world! The Mickey Soap Dispenser Attachment isn’t an officially licensed product from Disney, but is rather a clever fan-made product that retrofits onto most foaming handwash dispenser nozzles (although the designer recommends Bath and Body Works soap bottles). The attachment basically helps distribute the foamed handwash into three large blobs instead of one, making it resemble Mickey Mouse’s iconic circular head and ears (or Deadmau5, if you’re an electronic music aficionado).

The 3D printed attachment is pretty simple to install and even simpler to use. It comes in three solid colors (that gold one looks rather nice), as well as two decorated variants that resemble Mickey and Minnie. When assembled, it works almost flawlessly, distributing just the perfect amount of soap needed to clean hands… and that adorable mouse-head works as the perfect playful element to get kids to wash their hands more often, keeping them safe and sanitized!

DIY Light-up Neon (LED) Mickey Mouse Ears

If you’re a fan of Disney and Mickey Mouse, your mouse house isn’t complete without a pair of ears. Of course, you could go for the standard-issue black ears, but if you’re a little more of a tech geek, then you should consider making a pair like these.

The guys at Adafruit shared this cool idea for a set of Mickey ears made using their super bright NeoPixel LED strips, controlled by a GEMMA M0 board.

By setting the lights inside of a thick silicone coating, they diffuse into smooth, neon-like tubes. They also offer up an alternative LED strip without the silicone that provides more of a classic marquee look. Since both LED strips are designed to emit light only in one direction, the light will only be visible from the front, which I think is a slicker and more put together look than conventional LED strips. The lights can also change colors, and they included motion sensors in the build, so it can change light patterns with a shake of their wearer’s head.

Check out the video below for the full explanation of the build:

Every Mickey Mouse Combined Is Serious Nightmare Fuel

Do you love Mickey Mouse? I mean really love him? You may not love him so much after seeing this. Matthew Plummer Fernandez’s Every Mickey is a terrifying Disney mutation. This thing is a 19″ tall 3D printed object consisting of “Every model of Mickey Mouse found online, compiled as one.”

That doesn’t sound so bad but look at the picture. Imagine every Mickey Mouse from every dimension of the multiverse, all mashed together in the same time and space. All crying out in terror and pain. With no sound. Yeah, that’s what we have here. A cartoon mouse being tormented for all eternity. Strike that. Not “a” cartoon mouse. All of them.

He looks like one of those Hindu gods with many arms, which I guess is appropriate since so many people worship at Disney’s alter. So here you go Disney fans. Here’s your new God. Pretty horrific if you ask me. I wouldn’t have this thing on my desk. That said, It would be cool if Matthew shared the STL file in case you’re okay with this hideous thing gesturing at you every day.

Now that I’ve seen this monstrosity, I really want to see if someone can animate this mess into a coherent character. Can it even walk or do anything as it’s thousands of parts move independently? Someone get on that so we can see.

This LEGO Mickey Mouse Mecha Is Ready to Pulverize Pete

Mickey Mouse has his own club, lots of movies, and a slew of cartoons to his name. He also has a hater in the form of a cat named Pete. If ol’ MIC-KEY MO-US-E ever gets tired of Pete’s shit and builds a mech to take him down, this is just the ticket.

Baron Julius von Brunk’s awesome Mecha Mouse has a flip-open compartment that is designed as a cockpit for the official Mickey minifig to fit inside of. Those big mouse ears are radar dishes, and his white-gloved fingers can even hold weapons.

If you want to see it turned into a set you can actually buy, the design is on the LEGO Ideas site right now and needs your vote. The cool part is that there is a licensing deal between LEGO and Disney already, so if this thing racks up 10,000 votes it might actually get made.

Bizarre Mickey Mouse Head Music Visualizer Thingy Commissioned by Disney

This Mickey Mouse inspired musical sculpture is more than a bit creepy. It looks like someone cut the heads off of Deadmau5 and Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter and smashed them together.

The thing is called the MikeyFon and was commissioned by Disney and built by a Polish firm called PanGenerator.

The giant Mickey head has a screen on the front where the eyes would be that shows a colorful visualization of sounds or music the giant ears hear. The head also turns to face the sound in the room.

I expect a laser beam to shoot out of its eye plate any second, and attempt to take over the world. It’s unclear what Disney plans to do with the giant mouse head at this time, but I’m assuming it’ll be part of an art exhibit.

15 Cartoon Characters Looking Their Real Age

Bug & Lola Bunny

Cartoon characters like Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse are ageless, timeless, forever young. However, imagining them looking like their real age (according to the year they were created in) results in some interesting, maybe even disturbing imagery.

Bugs & Lola Bunny

This isn’t completely accurate. Bugs Bunny has been around since the 30’s, but Lola Bunny was only introduced in 1996 for the movie Space Jam. But it’s kinda cool thinking about them as an old couple.

Goofy

Daffy Duck

It’s hard to think of a cartoon character that is a better fit to the ‘Grumpy old man’ persona quite like Daffy.

Porky Pig

Rocking it Jack Nicholson style.

Daisy Duck

Tom & Jerry

At some point, you get too old to keep running around.

Donald Duck

Never imagined him as a smoker.

Tweety & Sylvester

Road Runner & Wile E. Coyote

MIckey & Minnie

She probably went to a really good plastic surgeon.

This is all from the mind of Andrew Tarusov, a wonderful artist who you can support by pledging or simply buying his awesome stuff.
