This outdoor kitchen + bar for cooking al fresco is the perfect summer backyard accessory!

Spring is receding and the weather is heating up steadily. Most of us are already taming our yards and when the good weather is here, some of us will want to cook and dine under the sun. For the good barbeque and occasional wine sessions, a decent outdoor layout is a must-have. One such contraption which is worth every penny you shell for it – owing to its design that maximizes function – is the Convivium Mobile Bar from Italy-based Il Giardino di Corten.

The modular outdoor kitchen – that includes a bar – is made from weather-resistant corten steel, similar to the brand’s other products for home and garden. Laid out beautifully for cooking and serving cocktails al fresco, this outdoor kitchen setup is equipped with an electric, gas, or charcoal grill and wooden cutting board to cater to the cooking needs. A kitchen is not complete without its washing area –Convivium Mobile Bar is fitted with a stainless steel sink that features pull-out taps, so the outright appeal and distinctive appearances of the design are maintained.

When a few party people are busy at the BBQ, the others can engross themselves in pleasant conviviality at the bar that features its own bottle holder, glass holders, trays for ingredients, and ice containers. As a host, you have the choice to choose different modules of Convivium Mobile Bar – you can select from the two sizes – the entire kitchen and bar setup or simply the kitchen area complete with the steel sink. In either case, the outdoor kitchen features generously sized compartments for storing cooking/serving tools and accessories. The compartment’s doors have contrasting vertical door handles that add a touch of plush to the rusty look.

This kitchen cupboard’s detailed design will please Marie Kondo and Bobby Berk!

We all want a cupboard or a wardrobe that will take us to Narnia because dealing with the White Witch seems easier than dealing with this pandemic. While magic furniture may not be something we can order online, we sure hope we can get the Muzhi cupboard to make the extended hours in the kitchen more magical! Yen-Hao, Chu is an award-winning designer who has created the Muzhi cupboard for storing all your kitchenware in a way that will make Marie Kondo proud of your organization skills and Bobby Berk happy with your sense of aesthetic.

The cupboard is made of three main parts that the owner can assemble or disassemble according to their needs. The upper part of the cupboard is semi-open where the right side can be used to store tableware and the left side can be used for potted plants as it is open on three sides which allows for ample sunlight. The middle area is an open spacious section that can be used as a sideboard, a small bar counter, or a place to keep small and medium-sized appliances like a kettle, coffee maker or a toaster. Meanwhile, the lower section has a partly glazed left-hand drawer to let the owner see what’s stored inside and the large tray area on the right-hand side can be used to store pot covers or everyday utensils. Details like the solid timber handrail and hanging rails were added to provide a neat place for towels and wine glasses.

Muzhi comes in two finishes and has a simple yet elegant design that blends clean lines with the warmth of wood – a piece of evergreen furniture that will always be useful. It also makes the kitchen look more airy and spacious with the partially-open components. The modular build of this piece makes it the right fit for any kitchen but especially smaller ones that need to optimize space. Having Muzhi is definitely better than a bunch of bulky cabinets, it adds a timeless touch to your kitchen and you never have to fumble to find your dishes again.

The Island Kitchen Is Finally Here

Space crunch + kitchen has always equalled to a compromised kitchen. Realistically speaking, designer Massimo Facchinetti has nailed it with his Ecooking vertical kitchen. This single module kitchen is a hub for sustainable cooking. The technologies of the project highlight energy-saving systems, and come integrated with an internal retrieval of energy system. This is achieved thanks to the close proximity and interaction of appliances with each other and the exchange of heat and moisture.

  • The electrical elements of the kitchen are powered by the energy produced by solar panels.
  • On one side of the kitchen module there is placed a small vertical garden, which allows the cultivation of aromatic plants for daily use.
  • The water coming from the sink is filtered and reused in the dishwasher; then undergoes a second filtering process and is used to water the plants in the vertical greenhouse.
  • A retractable tap that disappears into the sink.
  • Large refrigerator, an integrated cooking system (induction hob and microwave), systems for rinsing and washing (sink and dishwasher with adequate capacity).
  • The rotating hood contains a light that follows you while operating around the column and softens in different shades at lunchtime and when using the extractable tables.
  • In the hood the air treatment system, based on nanomaterials of titanium dioxide, it purifies the ambient air and is capable of purifying a medium sized room in a few hours.
