Commercial offices are teeming to the brim with hordes of employees, and the furniture they need – desks, chairs, office pods, conference tables, etc. And smart storage solutions for offices are often harder to come by, as compared to those for our homes. Designed by office furniture brand Narbutas, the Combus Shelving System is a super smart furniture design that not only provides versatile storage but also offers a way to partition spaces in the office. The Combus system is a pretty crafty one – it features a range of varied shelving types and heights, that can be customized in different finishes, and integrated with accessories such as planter boxes, metal bookends, and felt storage baskets to give each piece a unique and individual look.

The Combus system is available in the traditional “I” shape for shelving, but also in innovative configurations such as “L” and “T” shapes. This makes dividing the office space quite fun and interesting, irrespective if you’re creating private work areas, lounges, or meeting spots for collaborations. The closed shelving options which are higher can be used to provide privacy around areas where employees work and have meetings, while the shorter shelves can be used to partition spaces without completely segregating employees, and their opportunities to converse and connect.

The Combus system is also excellent for meetings since you can attach screens for presentations to its structure, using a metal duct that hides the cable away to provide a clean, decluttered, and wire-free look. Combus was created using recycled materials and can be easily and efficiently disassembled for reuse and adaptation, as and when needed.

Since the transition from home offices to actual corporate offices has begun, it’s important to ensure that employees feel comfortable, safe, and motivated in their workplace. And adding the right furniture designs can greatly contribute to creating an office that is conducive to motivation and productivity. When it comes to picking the right office furniture, we’re usually focused on a great workdesk and an ergonomic chair. However, have you ever really paid attention to an excellent meeting or conference table? Well, Narbutas did and designed the Nova Wood Multipurpose table.

Narbutas has a preexisting collection of office furniture called the Nova Wood collection, and they recently added the Nova Wood Multipurpose table to it. The new multipurpose table has been specially designed for collaborations and informal meetings. In the words of Narbutas, the table is a “self-sufficient meeting island”, that creates a harmonious and comfortable space for casual and quick workplace interactions or meetings. The table has been equipped with a variety of accessories, that you can use to customize it.

The accessories include – power outlets, and attachments for display screens, writing boards, shelves, hooks, and even plant pots if you want to add a bit of green! The wide range of accessories allows the users to create a space that meets their requirements and works best for them. The meeting island is crafted by using the same solid wood ash, that was utilized to build the 2019’s Red Dot Award-winning Nova Wood meeting table. However, it has been additionally equipped with an A-frame and optional castor wheels for mobility.

“The answer is in our nature – for communication and socialization. The Nova Wood Multipurpose table promotes both informal meetings with a cup of coffee and creative meetings for discussing various projects,” said Simonas Savickas, workplace design specialist at Narbutas. The multipurpose table is an excellent platform for employees to engage and interact with their peers and seniors. Narbutas believes it is the perfect design for these times when people are questioning and wondering whether they should even return back to office post-pandemic. In such an age, this multipurpose meeting island serves as a versatile and customizable piece of furniture that fosters meaningful collaborations and interactions.

This multifunctional furniture design provides a sense of privacy to modern day offices

With offices opening up, we need excellent furniture pieces that provide immense functionality and effortlessly blend into the workspace. And one such furniture design is the Worklab. Italian design studio Baldanzi and Novelli designed the Worklab mobile office divider for Narbutas which provides a multi-functional element to modern-day workspaces. It combines multiple elements such as a media wall, mobile workstation, whiteboard, space, divider, and shelving unit.

The highly customizable furniture design is available in a wide range of colors, finishes, accessories, and side panels which come in an option of perforated metal or upholstery. The two combine to provide an intriguing visual elevation to the workplace. It has been equipped with castors, so you can easily move it from one place to another in the office, wherever the need arises. It features a pretty portable design! It creates a private space, or provides a division between spaces. It’s been crafted from metal for sturdy durability.

“It is a handy tool for managing the flow of people and presentation of services, making it ideal for educational institutions, libraries, banks, and post offices,” said Narbutas. Besides providing an element of privacy, the Worklab is also pretty great in these COVID-19-stricken times, since it creates space between the working areas of employees, reducing the risk of contamination. The Worklab is also quite versatile since it can be used for public spaces and creative workshops as well, not just office spaces. The design’s modern aesthetics allow it to effortlessly blend with different spaces.

You can use Worklab as a conference wall, whiteboard, temporary workplace, or shelf, or use it to create a private space wherever it is needed the most. It transforms your workspace into a flexible, active, and adaptable environment that can adapt to the constantly changing needs of employees. “The idea arose from the need to have a dynamic workspace and to break free from orderly office schemes. It has been designed to fit in all those spaces that need to be modified on demand,” said Baldanzi & Novelli. Worklab is excellent for modern-day office spaces, especially for those that need a dash of dynamism, flux, and innovation.

This colorful collection of office furniture adds a casual + cozy element to the modern workplace

Adding an element of warmth will surely help employees to ease into their new work routine, after spending more than a year working from home. And a great collection of furniture could really help with that – such as the ZooZoo collection by Narbutas.

Designed by Annie Lee for the workplace furniture brand Narbutas, the ZooZoo collection includes an intriguingly high coffee table and a complementing pouf. The sleek coffee table is 27.2 inches tall and features a metal base, as well as a smooth top. The coffee table is available in two sizes, and the metal base can be customized to the color of your choice.

“Regular coffee tables are not convenient when used in meeting settings due to their low height,” explained Narbutas. Hence, Lee made the coffee table higher than usual, making it suitable for informal meetings in lounge areas. Besides the coffee table, the collection also includes a series of matching poufs available in a variety of colors and textiles. The poufs are accompanied by cushioned seats

“Thanks to its multifunction, ZooZoo saves space by providing a surface, a seat, and a storage compartment in one unit,” said Narbutas.

The poufs can be neatly stowed under the coffee tables, and also boast handy storage nooks to hold books, folders, and other miscellaneous items. The entire collection is available in a single color, or a two-toned option, hence allowing it to suit diverse interior spaces.

This ergonomic desk with colorful accessories helps employees ease back into their workspace

Since the transition from home offices to actual corporate offices has begun, it’s important to ensure that employees feel comfortable, safe, and motivated in their workplace. Adding an element of warmth will surely help employees to ease into their new work routine, after spending more than a year working from home. And, a great desk could really help with that! Simply a ‘good’ desk won’t do either. A great desk helps us work comfortably and effectively. It puts us in the right mindset, helping us achieve our daily productivity goals and checkmark all the tasks on our to-do list! Not only should our desks be clean, but they should also sport an ergonomic and functional design. One such desk I recently came across is the Zedo Desk.

Designed by Paolo Pampanoni for the workplace furniture brand Narbutas, the Zedo desk is great to bring some personality and character into a dreary old corporate office. It can be used as an individual desk or linked together with multiple other Zedo desks. The flexible desk system has distinct metal parts, and colorful accessories to help you create a desk space according to your personal taste and requirements.

“For employees returning to the office from the comfortable home space, the ability to create more personalized workplaces with which it is easier to identify is crucial to ease the transition from home to the office space and reduce stress,” said Narbutas designer Greta Žukauskė.

The various accessories include – minimalist drawers, PET felt acoustic screens, power blocks, and three types of shelves. The shelves are of three kinds – side shelves, curved shelves, and a round shelf. The side shelves are the longest and can be attached to two or three table legs. The curved shelves, on the other hand, can be attached one on top of the other, and the round shelf is positioned higher than the desk and can function as a small additional table.

You can also attach a desk-mounted rotatable extension table which is quite similar to the round shelf and can be used as a standing desk or a meeting table for discussions. As ideal as Zedo is for office space, it could also work great in your home office! You can team it up with the Polytone-L chair, which is also by Narbutas.
