This sustainable dish cleaning brush is infinitely reusable thanks to its replaceable bamboo bristles!

In 2018, we produced 380 million tonnes of plastic, can you imagine how much that number has grown in the last three years especially during the pandemic where we saw a steep rise in the use of plastic? NOS had created the Everloop Toothbrush which was wildly successful, so they created a family member for it – the Everloop Dish Brush. Every single plastic toothbrush ever made still exists today in some form or another, either in a landfill or the ocean. That’s a pretty scary statistic when you imagine that there are more than 7 billion people on this planet using toothbrushes that they throw out every 3-4 months on average.

We eat more times than we brush, so it is natural that we use far more dish scrubbies, dish sponges, and dish brushes which just adds to the mounting plastic waste problem. With the Everloop dish brush’s design, you can continue to maximize the functionality of your product while reducing waste. The head of the brush has a concave lid mechanism that compresses the bristles against the inner part of the brush. The bristles are snapped into place and you can clean effortlessly. This concavity also works as a soap container and dosifier while you clean your tableware – can you hear the Monica Gellers of the world scream with joy at this?

To replace bristles, use any flat piece from your kitchen as a lever to open it and replace it with a new set of bristles. The body of the brush is made from recycled plastic collected from discarded accessories and the bristles are made from natural fibers (bamboo, castor beans, etc) just like the Everloop Toothbrush. After the bristles wear out, you can dispose of them without guilt because they have ZERO plastic. The bristles are 100% compostable compared to the disposable heads in the market which just add to plastic pollution. Each dish brush comes with 5 sets of bristles and you can buy more replacements later too. Even the packaging is made out of 100% compostable thermoformed paper pulp! Could this BE any more perfect?

This greenhouse-mimicking dome helps harvest rainwater and foster sapling-growth

The Agrodome is environment friendly in more ways than you’d think. Sure, it creates a greenhouse-like environment for plants, enabling better growth, but it also comes made from recycled plastic waste! The Agrodome is made from PET sourced from recycled plastic bottles. The bottles are cleaned, pulverized, and remolded into these domes, which go on to help nurture plants by creating the perfect conditions required for plant-growth!

Outwardly, the dome looks a lot like a clear plastic umbrella. It comes with a dome that transforms inward into a long funnel-shaped structure. This structure is the Agrodome’s support system, and fits right into the soil, funneling water directly into the ground (whether it’s rainwater or artificially-controlled water). The rest of the dome helps mimic the effect of a greenhouse, trapping radiation from the sun to create a warmer environment on the inside, while perforations allow oxygen to vent out. The dome’s central support wedges right into the soil, and can be height-adjusted as the plant grows, creating the perfect outdoor environment for delicate saplings. This means saplings can be directly cultivated in the ground on-site, rather than being first germinated in a nursery before being transported and repotted. When the plants are all grown and self-sufficient, the Agrodomes neatly nest within each other, for easy transportation and storage!

The Everloop toothbrush’s creative design lets you replace its bamboo bristles

Every single plastic toothbrush ever made still exists today in some form or another, either in a landfill or the ocean. That’s a pretty scary statistic, considering there are roughly over 7 billion people on this planet today, and the average person throws out their old toothbrush every 3-4 months. That roughly translates to 20-30 billion toothbrushes being trashed each year, which isn’t a small problem to say the least.

The Everloop Toothbrush from NOS tackles this problem head-on by using a recycled plastic handle and disposable bamboo bristles. Taking on a unique cradle-to-cradle approach, the brush comes with a plastic handle that is, in fact, made from recycled toothbrushes. At the very end is a clamping mechanism that allows you to attach 100% natural bamboo bristles to the toothbrush’s head. The idea is to retain the plastic handle and periodically replace the bamboo bristles every few months. The bamboo bristles have absolutely no plastic in them, allowing them to easily be disposed of, or composted in a way that doesn’t harm the environment.

This fundamentally different approach is what sets the Everloop apart. Most toothbrushes (even the eco-friendly bamboo ones) use synthetic Nylon bristles that eventually end up becoming plastic waste when disposed of. Everloop switches the consensus by assigning the right material to the right part of the brush based on whether it’s retained or disposed of. It uses a robust, plastic handle (which you hold onto for as long as you need), and all-natural bamboo bristles (which you periodically dispose of, so that no plastic ever enters the waste cycle). Moreover, the fact that the handle is made from recycled toothbrushes means with each Everloop, plastic waste is taken out of the environment. Pretty cool, isn’t it?? And the packaging comes from thermoformed paper pulp too, another eco-friendly disposable material!
