‘Kobe Bryant Tribute Edition’ of the Viper Watch pays homage to the Black Mamba on his 2nd death anniversary

Created as a tribute to basketball legend Kobe Bryant on the 2nd anniversary of his passing, the Black Mamba edition of the Viper Watch sports a black design as a hat-tip to Kobe’s nickname, the Black Mamba, against a purple background, representing the color of the LA Lakers. The watch even has a hovering black reptile above the dial, with the words Mamba Is Back inscribed underneath.

The Viper Watch has a serpent wrapped around its dial, hovering immediately above the shimmering diamond embedded in the watch’s center. Designed by Salvo Lo Cascio along with Fabrizio Torchia of Maecenas Studio, the watch comes encased in a gold-and-black coated 316L stainless steel body, sandwiched between sapphire crystals on the front as well as on the exhibition back. The watch’s dial comes fabricated from aluminum with a coat of shimmering purple paint which contrasts beautifully against the rose gold hands, numbers, indexes, and a beautifully ornate viper that instantly draws your eye to the watch’s magnum opus, the exquisite gemstone located at its center.

The 12-hour watch features a single hand movement that points at each hour while also giving you a sense of the minutes simply based on its location between two numerals on the dial. The idea, Salvo implies, is to focus more on the watch’s sheer artistic appeal than on purely accurate chronometry. Underneath the dial sits the Viper Watch’s ETA 6497 movement, which Salvo modified with skeletonized gears that are visible through the watch’s exhibition back. As another hat-tip to its reptilian inspiration, the Viper Watch comes with leather straps too, although snake leather would probably really hit the mark. (I’m more of an animal-friendly faux leather person myself, if I’m being entirely honest)

The Black Mamba-edition Viper Watch exists only as a concept right now, although I’m sure Salvo could produce a few units if there’s enough interest from willing buyers. You can follow Salvo Lo Cascio’s work on Instagram and contact him for more information.

The Viper Watch is a remarkable timepiece with a white-gold serpent and a diamond-studded dial

Almost like a biblical representation of a snake presenting you with the forbidden fruit, the Viper Watch has a serpent wrapped around its dial, hovering immediately above the shimmering diamond embedded in the watch’s center.

Designed by Salvo Lo Cascio along with Fabrizio Torchia of Maecenas Studio, the watch comes encased in a 316L stainless steel body, sandwiched between sapphire crystals on the front as well as on the exhibition back. The watch’s dial comes fabricated from aluminum with a coat of shimmering blue paint which contrasts beautifully against the white gold hands, numbers, indexes, and a beautifully ornate viper that instantly draws your eye to the watch’s magnum opus, the exquisite gemstone located at its center.

This smart-speaker is the ultimate kitchen assistant, helping you make shopping lists and curating recipes

Here’s a product that solves a bunch of problems smart fridges could not. The Foody, by Salvo Lo Cascio is a kitchen-specific smart speaker concept that does practically everything like help you plan shopping lists, choose healthier ingredients, keep track of items you’ve bought and their expiration date, curate recipes based on the stuff you’ve got in your fridge and pantry, and guide you through your cook, with timers and instructions to help you whip up delicious meals.

The Foody looks like most smart-speakers, but comes with a few crucial design details that set it apart. While it is, in spirit, a smart speaker, perhaps the most interesting detail on the device is a circular display on the top that slides from left to right. Apart from acting as a screen for viewing things like recipe-thumbnails and cooking times, the display also acts as a switch that lets you tell the Foody speaker what’s in your pantry versus what isn’t. A camera sits at the central position of the circular slider, allowing you to scan the items you purchase. When you buy an item, keep the slider-display towards the left and scan the item to tell Foody you just bought it. When you run out, slide the display to the left and scan it again to let the smart speaker know you’ve consumed it. By scanning the product, Foody also creates an estimate of when it’ll expire, giving you a rough idea of by when you should consume the food.

Its pantry-managing chops aside, the speaker works as a recipe-curating device too! Once it accurately identifies what you’ve got in your pantry, the Foody generates recipes for dishes based on your stock. Conversely, if you’re missing a few items, the speaker can ask you to add it to your shopping list, or allow you to order it through a voice command. When all the ingredients are there and ready, the smart-speaker guides you through the recipes with background narrations as well as a kitchen timer so that your food is cooked to absolute perfection! Bon Appetit!

Portable sanitizer bottle comes with a UV chamber to store/disinfect your face mask

Designed to cover the important bases, the SaniCase holds/disinfects your face mask, and even dispenses hand-sanitizer, all in a product that’s roughly the size of a roll of quarters.

Milan-based Salvo Lo Cascio designed the SaniCase as a response to a common problem he saw with people who wore masks. During brief intervals when they took their mask off to eat or drink, they’d often end up putting their masks on tables, armrests, or back in their pockets along with their phone and keys. Designed to give people a place to safely store their masks when not in use, the SaniCase comes with a cylindrical compartment lined with UV-C lights on the inside. When you don’t need the mask, just slip it into its protective casing and it’ll get sanitized too. Speaking of which, the base of the SaniCase even has a push-to-deploy hand-sanitizer bottle on it, allowing you to periodically clean your hands too. By helping disinfect your hands as well as your face-mask, the SaniCase covers all the critical areas to prevent germs from accidentally entering your system. Besides, its portable avatar and optional lanyard make it really easy to carry around with you!

Salvo Lo Cascio developed the SaniCase as a concept to address a common problem, but the designer is now working with vendors, producers, and partners to help bring his idea to life!
