1. Soothing Colors

The mirror-sink unit fits into one side of this compact bathroom and provides utility without taking up much space. The sink is combined with the back panel of the WC, and the projection that accommodates the concealed flush is enough to house a slim base cabinet alongside a sleek countertop. The contrasting hues of Prussian blue cabinetry and pastel-hued walls along with the tiles create a soothing and restful vibe.

2. Cool Blue

Designer: Iya Turabelidze

Just see how a blue countertop incorporates the sink and storage and transforms into a showstopper feature in this grey and white-hued bathroom while the blue rim of the mirror complements the countertop and completes the look. The mirror is strategically divided into three sections where the center features an arched mirror, while the sides incorporate mirrors that mimic open window panes.

3. Incorporate Backlighting

Designer: Appliances Direct

The circular mirror incorporates white backlighting and highlights the grey backsplash featuring a herringbone pattern of tiles. The golden sink and faucet infuse glamour and it is set on an olive green base, creating a soothing and relaxing atmosphere.

4. Luxurious Mirror

Designer: Tineke Triggs

An oval mirror stands out with a golden frame that adds a tactile quality to the bathroom decor as it looks beautiful against the patterned mosaic backdrop of tiles. It is complemented by a set of two bracket lights on either side of the mirror to provide uniform lighting. The wooden cabinetry with golden handles and rectangular profile sections on the shutters adds a touch of glamour to the overall look.

5. Decorative Mirror

Designer: Two Bears Studio

The decorative Venetian mirror breaks away from the conventional style and shapes of mirrors and makes a striking feature in this bathroom. It stands out against the brick wall, adding an eye-catching touch to the overall design, and complements the cabinetry in earthy hues of grey and brown.

6. Waterfall Sink

Designers: Johan Kauppi and Eumar

The curved trough sink looks graceful and is a perfect fit for a contemporary bathroom when combined with a minimal mirror, as in this example. The water flows through the sink’s slide-like formation to mimic a waterfall. It creates a striking design feature that beautifully complements the terracotta-colored wall.

7. Functional Minimalism

Designer: Matty Design

The minimalist bathroom is elevated by neutral-hued walls while a floating countertop intersects with a section of an oval mirror, which is backlit to create a clean and sublime visual effect. This bathroom is highly functional with provision for a washing machine and adequate shelves for storage.

8. Captivating Sink

Designer: Falper

The mirror-sink unit features an interesting contrast of shapes where the elongated, curvaceous sink visually extends the bathroom. The round mirror complements the organic form of the basin to create an innovative composition.

9. An Organic-shaped Mirror

Designer: Laura Calleeuw

The mirror features an uncommon organic shape and deviates from the conventional circular, square, or rectangular mirror designs. It also complements the monochromatic look of the bathroom decor.

10. Botanical Backsplash

Designer: berg.interior

A composition of three differently-sized circular mirrors on a botanical backsplash in soothing hues adds plenty of character and stands out in the calming beige tones of the bathroom interiors. The touch of gold in the mirror frame, faucets, and hardware infuses a luxurious vibe into the overall look of the bathroom.

11. Tactile Surface

The backlit mirror provides soft, diffused lighting, and the stone-finished back wall adds subdued elegance and a touch of understated glamour. The countertop sits at a lower height, incorporating the sink within a marble cuboid that imbues an organic and earthy charm into the space.

12. Playful Color Scheme

Designer: Ume Illustration

Hues of orange on the countertop and door combine with the green tiled walls to add plenty of color and offer a youthful and trendy look to the overall scheme.

13. Twin Vanity

Designer: Jasmin Kodzha

Twin or shared bathrooms come with generous space and can easily accommodate a twin mirror-sink combo with identical mirrors and sleek storage. Textured marble is used in the backdrop to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal while the jute rug adds a touch of character and completes the ensemble.

14. Sinuous Surfaces

Designer: Zemberek Design

A dramatic contrast is achieved with an oval mirror positioned behind the small round sink and semi-circular countertop. The soothing color palette of earthy green and grey adds to the overall décor while the elevated grey façade strategically incorporates bracket lights and the oval mirror to give the bathroom a distinct character.

15. Bold Contrast

Desginer: Usine Studio

Just see how the black tiles are characterized with a herringbone pattern in white and continue as wall cladding to cover half of the wall and contrast with the burnt orange walls. A red table base supports the stone-finished sink in black and a similar color is used for the minimalistic side table for holding bathroom accessories.

16. Hexagonal Patterns

A floating countertop with provisions for two drawers holds the rectangular over-the-counter sink. Hexagonal tiles in pink hues form the backdrop of the circular mirror and are randomly placed to create an interesting composition against the backdrop of a grey-hued wall.

17. Pastel Hues

Designer: Gemini Tiles

In this pastel-hued bathroom, the double wall is in peach, and the niche is clad in white marble incorporating the mirror-sink unit. A light blue base supports the peach color sink and a circular mirror connects to the double wall with a bluish-grey band. The cactus and succulent add color to the bathroom décor.

18. Earthy Vibes

Designer: Moamen Mahmoud Mano

The bathroom exudes an earthy and warm ambiance and is reminiscent of a spa-like retreat. The unfinished look of the walls beautifully complements the solid wood vanity and incorporates stone finish sinks. Additionally, circular mirrors are fixed within arched niches and visually combine with gold faucets and patterned tiles to add a sophisticated touch.

19. Backlit Onyx

Designer: Antarya Design

Use backlit onyx to enhance the ambiance of the bathroom with a golden touch as the stone’s translucent form radiates warmth. Onyx is a stunning fine-grained stone with distinctive patterns and is available in various shades of yellow, brown, green, black, white, red, and more. Its uniqueness lies in the rich layers and veining naturally formed over millennia via the growth and deposition of silica materials like quartz and moganite.

20. Sophisticated Glamour

In this elegant and modern powder room, the counter’s sleek lines and the captivating illumination along the rim of the egg-shaped mirror form a stunning combination. The dark backdrop behind the mirror, along with the black and white floor patterns, adds gravitas to the overall design of the bathroom.

21. Warmth With Wood

The bathroom exudes an earthy character due to the use of wood, natural stone, and diffused lighting. The organic-style mirror resembles a flowing river in between the wood, while the freestanding sink is reminiscent of a monolithic stone.

Angle ceramic washbasin adds posh, minimalist look to bathroom

When you go to public restrooms, you don’t really notice if a washbasin is well-designed or not. All you need to know is that there is running water and the drain isn’t clogged and you’re good to go. But places like hotels, museums, and event spaces sometimes put a little more thought into the design of things like this so you get some pretty cool sinks, faucets, wash bowls, and other connected accessories to washing. This concept is another case of something functional and yet beautifully designed.

Designer: Elif Bulut

This concept for a ceramic washbasin is called Angle. It gives you a different look for a sink, one that shows off different angles through the combination of various shapes, mostly triangles. But this isn’t just something decorative as the design is actually to make it easier for the water to go down the drain. The drain itself is actually less visible and so you get a cleaner and more minimalist look without seeing the water actually going down.

The washbasin uses curved and triangular surfaces from the faucet to the basin itself. The drain is actually a tiny opening at the corner of the basin so all the water that comes out of the faucet will just flow towards there without you having a visible drain. The V-shaped basin makes it easier to drain the water. However, I’m not so sure what will happen if there are some particles that will not slot through the pretty thin drain at the corner.

The washbasin is placed on a cabinet-like stand both made from ceramic and sporting a monochromatic white color, with the gray/black faucet being the only different color. The product render doesn’t really show how the drain will work but other than that, this seems to be a pretty nice design that would look right at home in a hotel, spa, or even a posh apartment.

This redesign of the kitchen sink was built on a scheme of chamfers and angled edges for one-handed users to use as leverage!

Moray is a statement kitchen sink built on a scheme of chamfers, angled surfaces, and curved edges designed for one-handed users like amputees, parents, and those with an injured upper limb to use as leverage when washing dishes.

Even those who claim to enjoy washing dishes put it off sometimes. And don’t hold your breath for the rest of us. While it can feel like a mindless chore for some of us–amputees, parents of young children, and people with injured upper limbs must consider their best approach when washing dishes because conventional sinks don’t cater to one-handed dishwashing techniques. Changing this, Natalia Baltazar, a Bay Area industrial design student developed a statement kitchen sink that’s designed to be universal.

Providing leverage for one-handed users, Moray is built with an assortment of chamfers, angled surfaces, and curved edges that hold dishes in one place while they’re getting washed. In refining her universal kitchen sink, Baltazar identified the obstacles faced in the kitchen for one-handed dishwashers and sought to solve them with Moray. Following a series of indirect observation and ideation periods, Baltazar learned that it’s less so about introducing new tools and more about redesigning the sink from the basin up.

Inspired by the traditional dual-basin sink, Moray features a deep soaking basin where dishes can soak before getting scrubbed down with a sponge and soap. Inspired by terrace farming, undulating chamfers, ridges, and angled edges are located beside the water basin where dishwashers can position the plates to remain in place while scrubbing them down. Baltazar even thought of a cavity in the design scheme where dishwashers can wedge sponges to wash utensils.

The curvilinear design of the dish racks are points of leverage for dishwashers and completely drain of water thanks to their rounded edges. The only difference between Moray and the traditional sink is the appearance. Users can even install Moray the same way they’d install a conventional kitchen sink, with the option of an overmount or under-mount installation.

Designer: Natalia Baltazar x Smll Design

Baltazar incorporated narrow cavities where users can wedge sponges to clean utensils.

Users would have the choice of an overmount or under-mount installation for Moray.

Inspired by the traditional kitchen sink, Moray has a sink basin and an area with chamfers for leverage.

After finalizing the functionality of Moray, Baltazar conceptualized it in different acrylic colors.

Users place dishes on the right side of Moray to hold them in place while they get washed.

Following an involved ideation and research period, Baltazar settled on a final form for Moray.

Deciding against the incorporation of new tools, Baltazar went ahead and redesigned the kitchen sink from the basin up.

This solar powered water purifier & pump fits in your backpack to create the ultimate camping experience!

Let’s up our camping game to level ‘glamping’ with this solar-powered water purifier and pump! You never have to worry about carrying cartons of bottled water and calculating if that is enough for the group for all days. No math and no increasing plastic waste when we have GoSun Flow – a portable water purifier that is also a sink and provides water for shower all while storing the solar energy that it creates.

The GoSun Flow is made keeping in mind that it is small enough to fit into a backpack so it doesn’t add to the minimal essentials one has to carry during their trip. It uses solar energy to filter 99.99% of pathogens from water and is able to pump 1 liter of clean water per minute! Apart from providing safe drinking water it also doubles up as a portable handwashing station and hot shower. Having a hot shower (the one thing you miss the most during camping) is such an upgrade because that means we don’t have to jump into a cold water body, everyone knows the right temperature of hot water in the showers is basically therapy for your soul.

It is super easy to get this energy-efficient appliance running – place the intake hose into any water source (except salt water), plug in the pump, and it will automatically start filtering the water. To use the faucet or shower, simply clamp the faucet and flip on the pump! “The Flex Faucet’s integrated clamp can open to over two and a quarter inches (58mm) so it attaches anywhere: branches, tables, tailgates, fences, etc.  The flexible head can twist, bend, and point water wherever you need it” explains the team.

The filter lasts for 1,000 liters of filtration and can be easily replaced. The camping appliance uses an innovative 3-stage cartridge filter to remove 99.99% of pathogens. The first filter is a polypropylene filter disc that removes large particles like dirt, rust, and sand. The second filter is a high-efficiency carbon filter that absorbs hazardous chemicals and heavy metals. And the third filter is a nano aluminum fiber filter that creates an electropositive charge in a labyrinth of fibers to trap and kill the tiniest particles and organisms in your water.

To make it effortless, GoSun Flow uses a USB-powered pump that does the work for you and provides a flow of water anywhere you want and that too within a minute – say goodbye to manual pumping although it did provide a good arm workout. The pump is powered by a power bank that can pump over 100 gallons of water on a single charge. The best part? You can recharge it with the integrated solar panel that plugs right into the power bank. GoSun has always believed in designing products that don’t require fuel or resupply and this water pump + purifier is another amazing addition to their range of essentials that keep you prepared for emergencies.

With GoSun Flow you can have access to clean water anywhere. It is not only essential for camping but also allows you to sanitize yourself when there is a shortage – think of remote medical camps where the rural areas don’t have access to clean water. It is so much more than a hot shower when you are out in the woods, it is using the source that gives Earth life to give you life.

This Bathroom Sink Looks Like a DJ Console

What is it about people incorporating music into their bathrooms? First, we had the musical instrument bathroom, and now check out this bathroom that has a sink that resembles a DJ’s console. Time to wash up with Sir Suds-A-Lot.

Designed by Gianluca Paludi, these turntable-inspired sinks from Olympia Ceramica will be a hit among wealthy DJs. This collection of bathroom basins is simply called Vinyl, and features sinks that look like a turntable setup. Each circular basin resembles the platter, and the faucet looks like a turntable’s tonearm. The tonearm doesn’t raise and lower like a real one, but maybe it can swivel from side to side. I’m not sure.

This setup includes a countertop with control knobs that regulate the water pressure and temperature. The cabinet has a drawer with a Bluetooth music amplifier and speaker inside as well. Those small holes are just for the speaker. Then there’s the stand that has a lower tier which supports a tempered glass shelf for fresh towels and other stuff. The upper tier has a rigid leather bag to hold smaller things.

The sink is available in either single or double-vanity designs, and there’s also a matching equalizer mirror with LEDs to go with. All those wealthy DJs out there can now have a luxury bathroom to go with their trade.
