Giant Inflatable Cheeseburger Sprinkler: Waterburger

Summer is upon us, and you know what that means: making your kids play outside so they stop wrecking the house and driving you crazy. And to aid you on your mission of prolonged sanity comes this giant cheeseburger water sprinkler. Available on Amazon (affiliate link), the inflatable burger will provide hours of backyard fun while you get a little peace and quiet indoors, presumably with the patio door locked.

The burger includes stakes to keep it in place and the sprinkler on top spins around as it sprays, so there’s no escaping its watery wrath. And why would I want to? It’s hot out and my air conditioning broke last summer.

You know, I have fond memories of running through the sprinkler as a child. I also have fond memories of running through the sprinkler as an adult, as recently as last weekend. You’re never too old for some sprinkler and slip ‘n slide action – that’s my motto. It’s important to stay young at heart because God knows the rest of my body is already giving out on me.

The Sprinklesaurus is a Water-breathing Dinosaur for Your Yard

Summer is almost over, but I’m sure your kids would love to run around under a sprinkler until the snow hits the ground. I can think of no better way to keep kids saturated with a constant stream of water but with a 7-foot-tall inflatable dinosaur lawn sprinkler.

Unlike the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex, the Sprinklesaurus won’t devour or stomp on your kids. Instead, he’ll just douse them with a torrential rain shower through the 360º sprinkler in his nose. Now, wait a second. I don’t remember dinosaurs having blowholes like whales. Maybe a qualified paleontologist out there can set me straight. Or maybe there was a T. Rex-whale hybrid that I missed out on while sleeping through class when I was a kid. Whatever the case, the Sprinklesaurus is real, and your kids want one now that they’re looking over your shoulder looking at your screen.

The Sprinklesaurus is available from Hammacher Schlemmer for $89.95. Just be sure to put him away in the wintertime, so it doesn’t freeze to death in another Ice Age.

Giant Inflatable Rocketship Sprinkler: For an Out of This World Good Time

Fun in the sun: it’s hands down one of my favorite kinds of fun, third only to fun in the shade, and fun inside playing video games. And what better way to enjoy some fun in the sun than running around in a sprinkler? Enter the Inflatable Backyard Rocketship Sprinkler from Funboy and available on Amazon (affiliate link). Just let me mix up a blender of margaritas real quick and I’m ready to party.

The rocketship stands a very respectable 7.5′ tall and has four separate water sprinklers around its circumference for 360-degree coverage, so as long as you’re standing nearby, you’re getting wet. I can already hear my wife yelling at me for running through the house before drying off.

Just don’t forget to wear sunscreen when you’re out playing in the sun. Because I forgot to wear sunscreen at the beach last year and the back of my ears got burnt. Then for the rest of the trip, I couldn’t tell if they were burning because somebody was talking about me or because of the actual sunburn. It made for a very confusing vacation.

Water Your Lawn with a Giant Dinosaur Sprinkler

Do you imagine a world where humans and dinosaurs live in peace and harmony? I love that idea, but the Jurassic Park movies have taught me not to get my hopes up too much for friendly raptors and and brontosauri roaming the streets anytime soon. I’m afraid the closest we’re going to get for now is dinosaurs of the inflatable variety.

This isn’t any ordinary blow-up T.Rex, though. This 6-foot-tall prehistoric creature has a water sprinkler in its nose, so you can run under it to keep cool on hot summer days, without risk of being stomped or clawed. And even if it does manage to grab you with its stubby arms, they’re squeezy and won’t do any damage. And that zig-zag of a mouth isn’t chomping anyone.

I’m assuming there’s no reason you couldn’t let T.Rex water your lawn as well, though your neighbors might look at you strangely. Screw ’em, I say. Everyone should have a dinosaur sprinkler on their lawn, and you can grab yours over at Firebox today for just $60.99.

Ginormous Unicorn Yard Sprinkler Should Spray Rainbows

Are you finished with winter? I know I am. Summer is on the way, and I can’t wait. Well, along with grilling hot dogs and burgers, here’s something else to look forward to when it warms up outside. Make your summer magical with this gigantic inflatable unicorn sprinkler. It shoots water from its horn, keeping you cool on those hot days.

The Ginormous Unicorn Yard Sprinkler, which is its official name, by the way, stands seven-feet tall. It’s a huge and light-weight mythical creature that you inflate and connect to your garden hose. Then you’re all set and water can spray from its magical horn. I mean, it’s not rainbow-colored water that turns the air around it into a prismatic opening of a dimensional portal, but still, this beast is pretty huge and magical. It has a wide-mouth cap air valve so you can quickly deflate it and put it away when winter comes again.

You can buy it at Target for only $50. That’s dirt cheap for a magical unicorn that sprays water from its horn. It cools you off and will even water your lawn in style. It’s gonna be a good summer.

This vase is TWO adorable!

two_way_watering_pot_1

The two way pot is actually more than just a two way pot. It’s also a really pretty vase. Designed as an item with functional properties as well as decorative abilities, the two way pot has two spouts. One for pouring, the other for sprinkling. A clever instance of design intervention also makes it a vase. So you don’t need to empty all the water you fill in. You also don’t need to hide the sprinkler in your garden shed. It can sit atop your windowsill too, looking pretty as ever!

This Way Out

The ‘Way Out Light’ is a fire alarm and sprinkler system that activates the lighting for the emergency exit route in the event of a fire evacuation. The purpose of the system is to contain the spread of fire, illuminate the pathway to the nearest exit and keep people away from danger. Since it’s all tightly integrated, it looks to be a foolproof system.

Movinkler, Say What?

Yes, Movinkler! A self-adjusting fire sprinkler system that is simpler, smarter, and safer than most existing models. The design features a heat-detection camera and capacity for movement. Addressing existing issues like not operating until they reach a certain temperature, not functioning properly on dead spots and not controlling the water usage, the Movinkler offers solutions that seem acceptable.

  • Movinkler is fitted with a heat-detecting camera.
  • When the camera detects heat due to a fire, Movinkler starts rotating and its headpiece aims at the fire by moving up and down.
  • It ejects water immediately to put out the fire.
  • Once the fire is extinguished, it stops operating.
  • The sprinkler system extinguishes fire in what would otherwise be dead spots; enables early fire suppression by operating promptly upon detection of a fire; and guarantees far less wastage of water as well as less severe secondary water damage.

Movinkler is a 2013 red dot award: design concept winner.
