Star Destroyer Bicycle Costume Is The Empire’s Greatest Weapon

This Star Destroyer bicycle might just be the coolest Star Wars costume ever, especially if you have a kid that has Imperial leanings. Andrew Guy built this amazing costume for Halloween for his son Aidan. Hey, Andrew, I want one too!

It took several months of planning and construction to get this bad boy ready, and as you can see it was totally worth the effort. The lights look insane, and it even has a hidden speaker that plays The Imperial March. Any kids dressed like Han Solo probably saw this thing coming and dropped their candy cargo. They say you shouldn’t do that at the first sign of Imperials but, this thing is intimidating coming up behind you. More candy for the Empire.

Not sure how he is supposed to get to people’s porches in this thing though. They probably just come to him since they fear that a Star Destroyer is going to shoot lasers at the house. I bet it’s nothing but a giant candy bag inside, which you need when you “wear” this costume because you are going to get ALL of the candy.

Star Destroyer Made out of Gingerbread: Imperial Icing

Few things in this galaxy or any other are as intimidating as the sight of an Imperial Star Destroyer. If you are smuggling any contraband at all and you see one of these ships, you drop your cargo and run. You don’t hang around to become space debris. A gingerbread Star Destroyer is no less intimidating. Especially if you are a gingerbread man just hanging around in your gingerbread village. In that case, what can you do but run into your delicious house and cower in the corner, waiting to be obliterated.

Star Destroyer? More like a stomach destroyer. This massive and massively delicious spaceship comes from Star Wars Bakery. They created this truly impressive modern marvel of Christmas confectionary goodness out of nothing but gingerbread and icing. The detail of that icing is what really sells it. They did an amazing job on this creation. As you can see it has a lot of layers of gingerbread, all put together like a model. It is a holiday treat of the First Order!

If you are lucky enough to be in Stockholm, Sweden they put it up on display at the DICE office there.

Jedi Star Destroyer PC: Hardware Wars

We’ve seen our share of custom PC cases, but nothing quite as impressive as this Venator Class Star Destroyer. It is named YAZI and was created by asphiax as part of a modding contest by MSI. Contest? That’s no contest. This one wins everything.

This is no store-bought model either. Oh no. This Republic spaceship was built entirely from scratch, which is especially impressive when you look at the detail.

He first modeled the ship it in 3D, then made the pieces using aluminum for the main case parts. For the smaller components, he used a 3D printer, making sure that he got all of the details just right. It looks amazing, especially when fully lit.

LEGO Star Wars Minifigs in Ship Costumes: A New KanColle

Flickr user Nick Chen aka solscud made a cute collection of Star Wars minifigures wearing their respective vehicles. For instance, Kylo Ren has his command shuttle, Han Solo is wearing the Millennium Falcon and Rey is, well, in the Millennium Falcon, but with the new different radar dish.

This Homemade Super Star Destroyer Has Lights and Sound, Our Hearts

If you thought that this Super Star destroyer was from The Force Awakens, it’s not. But if we see a Star destroyer that looks even half as cool in the movie, I’ll be happy. This custom ship model was built by Fabio Delfino and is based on the Star Wars: Dark Empire comic books.

This Eclipse-class Super Star Destroyer is amazing. Not only does it look amazing, but it also has a bunch of lights and sound. It is 44″ long in all. The huge ship has over 3,000 pieces and took about eight months to build. I bet you could film a movie using this as a prop and it would totally look great.

LEGO Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer Is Also a Stud Destroyer

LEGO already has an official Star Wars Imperial Destroyer kit. But Flickr member Jerac’s take is so much better. Partly because it’s huge but mostly because, as The Brothers Brick said, it has “a super smooth design that hardly looks like a LEGO creation.”

Jerac was able to achieve the smooth finish through a style that LEGO enthusiasts call Studs Not On Top or SNOT.

A closer inspection of the 40,000+ piece scale model reveals that Jerac did leave studs on top here and there, but I think that’s mostly for style.

1:2256 Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer: a Direct Assault on Your Eyes

I’m pretty sure that White Tiger’s huge star destroyer will be a sight to behold when it’s finished, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not as polished as this 1:2,256 scale model of the Imperial II star destroyer by model kit builder Cho Jin Hae aka Darth Maul. From what I can tell this seems to be based on a ready to assemble kit, but Cho Jin Hae did the painting and lighting.

While Cho Jin Hae’s model is nowhere near as large as White Tiger’s build, the lighting on it is really well done and makes the ship come alive.

Guy Building Giant Star Destroyer

Damn. This dude is building a giant Super Star Dreadnought ‘Assertor’ that is made out of hand-carved styrene and some 3D printing. You know he is serious too. Just look at the state of that room. This is why geeks should not marry until at least age 40. There are just too many cool projects to complete and we make a mess.

star destroyer 620x413magnify

Right now, The White Tiger’s project is about 50% complete, but already it looks awesome. This is going to be museum-worthy when it is finished. You can see his Starship Enterprise model in the lower left, to give you an even better idea of the size.

Of course, he didn’t just create this from memory – he got a good head start thanks to this 3D model by Ansel Hsiao (aka Fractal Sponge).

Star Destroyer Cake Will Crush Your Rebel Diet

Pew, pew, pew, pew! This Star Destroyer cake will fly over your birthday presents and tractor beam them into it’s hanger bay like so many Rebel ships. And you won’t even care – since this cake is complete awesomeness. It even lights up.
star destroyer cake
Lorenzo Wood, who has to be the best parent ever, made this Imperial Star Destroyer birthday cake for his son Alexander. This cake sits on a custom base Lorenzo made that has light up windows and even thruster flare effects.  The detail is super nice, and the lights certainly beat crummy old candles, right?

Great job Lorenzo. I’m surprised he didn’t rig an escape pod that shoots a cupcake shaped capsule onto your plate. Star Destroyer or diet destroyer?
