Star Trek: The Next Generation Cats Windshield Sunshade

Are you a Trekkie AND a cat person? Well then look no further than this Star Trek: The Next Generation cat sunshade created by Surreal Entertainment and available on Amazon (affiliate link). The sun blocker features the cast of the show in cat form, ready to navigate the USS Enterprise to where no man – or feline – has gone before.

The visor measures 64″ x 32″ and is a universal fit to accommodate the windshields of most cars, trucks, and vans. However it will probably not fit the windshields of most spaceships, so keep that in mind before buying one for your Klingon Bird-of-Prey or Borg Cube and then complaining it doesn’t fit snuggly.

I mean it’s hard not to purchase one, right? Because I actually bought one of these not too long ago and use it all the time. Sure it makes it hard to see while I’m driving, but hey – at least my seat and steering wheel aren’t blistering hot.

Star Trek Enterprise Cat Tree: Bolding Going Where No Cat Has Gone Before

A USS Enterprise and Deep Space Nine themed cat tree: it’s what every Star Trek loving feline owner’s home has been missing. And now thanks to Etsy seller CE360designs, you can finally fill that void with a custom Star Trek Enterprise 1701D and DS9 Wood Cat Tower. You know they say good things come in small packages, but I imagine this box being on the larger side.

The 4-foot cat tree sells for $270 and has a USS Enterprise at the very top (with the option to be swapped for Voyager), with the Deep Space Nine space station below. The very bottom represents the two ends of a wormhole (with the option to be replaced with a Borg ship), all set atop the Starfleet insignia. According to the seller, “This is sure to make a conversation starter,” and I couldn’t agree more. I’m already talking about it and I don’t even own one.

Are your cats just as likely to play with the box the tree comes in as the tree itself? Knowing my cats, yes. I buy them all the latest cat toys but whenever I come home, there they are – chasing a piece of crumpled paper or torn cardboard. You know, with cats maybe it really is the simple things in life.

Star Trek: The Next Generation Whiskey Decanter Set

Because boldly going where no man has gone before is excuse enough for a cocktail, this is the Star Trek: The Next Generation 5-Piece Whiskey Decanter Set from Robe Factory and available on Amazon for $100 (affiliate link). Jim Beam me up, Scotty.

The set includes a 26-ounce decanter etched with the United Federation of Planets logo along with the USS Enterprise’s NCC-1701-D designation and delta shield. The 10-ounce tumbler glasses also include the Enterprise’s designation as well as the delta shield, and the whole set has a unique curve to it so it’s clear they’re from outer space and the future.

Call me old fashioned, but I drink my whiskey straight from the bottle it comes in. That way I don’t have to wash any extra glasses, because I don’t live in the future and my apartment doesn’t have a dishwasher. Well I mean it does, but I’m it.

USS Enterprise Christmas Tree Topper: Beam Me Up, Santa!

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Christmas? Star Trek, right? I mean, how could it not be? So what better way to celebrate the holidays than with this $150 Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise Musical Tree Topper With Light (affiliate link) from Hallmark. Wait – did that say $150? I was ready to pay at least $250. They’re practically giving them away.

The topper remains constantly illuminated when plugged in. With the push of a button on the included Starfleet insignia remote control, the Enterprise plays the theme from Star Trek and performs an accompanying light show. The ship can also be wired to additional Captain James T. Kirk, Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu, and Lieutenant Nyota Uhura Star Trek ‘Storyteller’ ornaments (seen above, $35 apiece) to unlock additional performances. It’s a Christmas miracle!

I remember growing up how our Christmas tree topper was usually just the ceiling because my dad regularly overestimated the height of a tree that would fit in the living room. He’d also make sure to choose one with really low hanging branches, so it took fewer presents to fill the space under the tree. Consider that a free tip for all you parents out there.

Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D Bluetooth Speaker: Bass The Final Frontier

If you’re looking for a cool new replica of Captain Picard’s Enterprise to sit on your desk, check out this Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D Bluetooth Speaker. Not only is it a speaker, but it looks downright beautiful. Imagine playing Star Trek The Next Generation’s theme song on this thing when it is all lit up and in the dark. Epic!

Turning the ship into a speaker seems like something that Q would do to the crew, so he could enjoy some smooth jazz while taunting Picard. In addition to being able to play your own music, this thing can play sound effects, and has sweet LED lighting. Sound effects include: Engine hum, Torpedo blast, Warp acceleration, “Incoming transmission” and “One minute to auto destruct”.

This ship looks so good with those lights in the engines, deflector dish, and saucer section. You can turn them on or off, though why you would ever turn them off is beyond me. They’re awesome.

I have three words for you: “Make it so!” And if you don’t understand that, let me put it another way. “Shut up and take my latinum!” Grab yours now over at ThinkGeek for $79.99.

Hard Drive Starship Enterprise: Disk Space, The Final Frontier

Between its circular bridge and oblong warp nacelles, the Starship Enterprise is one of the most iconic spaceships in the history of science fiction. Whether you love the NCC-1701 in its original or its many other variants, they all share these common elements. But if you ask me, the NCC-1701-A is my favorite, since it honored the design from The Original Series best, while still updating its look. Fans of this version will dig this cool handmade model of the USS Enterprise, crafted from old computer parts.

Artist shankalonian makes a variety of neat desktop sculptures by recycling disused bits of computers and other electronic devices. In this case, the Enterprise was built using a hard drive platter for its primary hull and main bridge, and a pair of PCI card slots as its warp nacelles.

The model will set you back $100 over on shakalonian’s Etsy shop, where you can also find such wonderful things as recycled computer part models of an X-Wing Fighter, a B-52 bomber, and an awesomely teensy motorcycle.

Flat-pack Star Trek Starship Kits Let You DIY Starfleet

If you’re a Star Trek fan, here’s something a little different for your collection. These kits from OzpinsFactory let you assemble your own starships from sheets of laser-cut birch plywood.

These models are really nifty, and come in a variety of designs based on ships from the Trek universe. They’ve got models of various classes of Federation ships, including NX, Constitution, Sovereign, Miranda, Ambassador, Intrepid, Excelsior, and Galaxy class, so you can pretty much have your own Starship Enterprise from your favorite era.

Fans of Deep Space Nine need not worry either, since they have a kit for the eponymous starbase too.

Kits vary in size, but generally measure about 16″ to 20″ long (DS9 is just 11.5″ across though), and require assembly of 100 to 200 pieces. You’ll need an emery board, sandpaper, an X-Acto knife and wood glue to put them together.

Prices start around $50 for each model. Grab one starship, or build your own complete Starfleet over on Etsy now.

Starship Enterprise Table Lamp: To Boldly Glow

We all need a little light in our life. Sometimes that light comes from boring, lame lamps and other times it comes from awesome lamps that look like space (the final frontier.) This Star Trek Enterprise Table Lamp will light up your room and looks great doing it.

The shade has a starfield on it and the lamp pull is a replica of the Starship Enterprise that looks like it’s floating in space. The base looks like Starfleet’s command insignia.

The lamp measures 18″ H x 13″W x 10.5″ D, and can take up to a 60-watt bulb. Command Scotty to beam you to ThinkGeek, where you can grab one for your room for $59.99(USD).

This Wooden Starship Enterprise Goes Where No Tree Has Gone Before

I’ve seen lots of models of the Starship Enterprise over the years, but this wooden version by Kretschmer Kreativ is one of the most beautiful and elegant versions I’ve ever laid eyes on.

Measuring in at 36″ long x 16″ wide x 8″ tall, the model is handmade entirely from wood and glue. Every detail you see, from the ship’s iconic NCC-1701 badging to the colors of the warp nacelles and deflector shield were created using different types of wood.

The finished model uses maple, black walnut, padauk, osage orange, ebony, and yellowheart woods. It’s so smooth and beautifully sculpted – I’d hate to see any Klingons do battle damage to it.

Since this is a true work of art, you’re looking at a 12 week build time and a cost of $3000 for your own Starship Enterprise sculpture, but if you’re a serious Trekkie, it’s worth every penny.
