Tiffany & Co. Building Blocks: Like LEGO for Rick Kids

You know Tiffany & Co? They’re the ones that make all the expensive jewelry and accessories for rich people. I’m pretty sure that you and I aren’t even allowed to utter their name aloud unless our bank account hits a certain threshold. Well, now they are getting into the rich spoiled brat market with Tiffany sterling silver building blocks. Think of them as luxury LEGO.

These deluxe building blocks are not actually toys. We think. They look like the toy bricks we all know and love, but instead of round studs, these ones have square studs and are made of sterling silver and American walnut.

Naturally, they are also expensive. They’re priced at $1,650 for a set of 10 bricks. The 10 pieces include three 2 by 2 blocks (0.62” square), three 2 by 3 blocks (0.93 x 0.62”), three 2 by 5 blocks (1.55 x 0.62”), all in sterling silver and american walnut wood. The last brick is a single 2 by 5 block (1.55 x 0.62”) in all sterling silver.

They are numbered and lettered and you can personalize them with an engraving of up to three letters as well. That costs an extra $25 ,which is nothing to anyone who is buying sterling silver LEGO blocks. Damn rich kids and their gleaming silver structures!

Celebrate Blade Runner 2049 with This Origami Unicorn Silver Pendant

I’ve yet to see the Blade Runner 2049, but everyone is saying it’s a pretty incredible movie. Given the fact that the original Blade Runner is one of my favorite films of all time (despite its flaws), I can’t want to see how Denis Villenueve’s long-awaited sequel turned out.

Fans of the original Blade Runner know that Gaff (Edward James Olmos) liked to make little origami animals, most significantly, the unicorn that is representative of Rick Deckard’s mysterious past. While you could certainly fold your own paper unicorn, this sterling silver version is much, much cooler. It’s made by AllegroArts and is a dead ringer for the origami unicorn from Ridley Scott’s original 1982 film. Each one is handmade from folded sheets of fine silver, and comes on either a 18″ or 24″ sterling chain.

The pendant is priced at $85 to $90 (USD) in AllegroArts’ Etsy shop, and as of this writing, they only have one left in stock, so you’d better faster than Pris can do gymnastics if you want one.

Space Invaders Ring: Sterling Silver, Not Pew Pew Pewter

This awesome Space Invaders ring puts the 8-bit aliens around one of your fingers. Hopefully not your button mashing trigger finger, because you know they will try to stop you from shooting their friends.

It comes in your choice of Sterling Silver or 9ct. Gold. Either way you have an awesome ring full of aliens. I’m a little sad that it doesn’t have the UFO in the center, but that’s just me. I always like to go for the extra points and go for the high score. This ring comes from Etsy artist Uproar and starts at $55(USD).

They have some other cool gaming jewelry too, but for my money, this is the coolest.

Constellation Earrings

constellation earrings
They say some people have stars in their eyes. Others can have stars in their ears. Literally, with these Constellation Earrings. There are two different sets of earrings available: Big Dipper/Little Dipper and Orion/Cassiopeia. The earrings are made of sterling silver with white topaz chips for the stars.
orion earring
That’s elegantly geeky. You can rotate them downward and wear them as a dangle earrings too. Great for astronomy fans and people who like stars (isn’t that everyone?). Scientifically proven to be stylish.

When you wish upon a star, your ears ring true. Or something like that. If the stars align, you might be my lucky star and find these out of this world gifts under your star-topped tree this Christmas.

NES Controller Ring: 8-Bit Band

This NES controller ring is perfect for gamers who want to carry a piece of the classic Nintendo console with them. It has a classic brick background plus the A and B buttons each have tiny natural rubies set into them. It’s a classy bit of gamer jewelry.

After all, the NES controller is not as clumsy or random as a joystick, but a more elegant video game weapon for a more civilized age. The ring is made by artist Austin Moore, from solid sterling silver and will cost you $200(USD) over on Etsy.

These rings are made to order and take about 1-2 weeks to complete after your order. Moore has many other geeky rings too, so if you don’t like this one you are bound to find something good to stick on your finger.

DJ Inspired Jewelry

earbud necklace DJ Inspired Jewelry
Here’s a line of men’s jewelry that’s a bit more badass than your typical baubles. The Novum Collection is a series of DJ inspired jewelry pieces that blend music and technology into something edgy and sophisticated. Like the earbud necklace above. Show off your dedication to tunes with a set of earbuds made of precious metals- made from sterling silver and available in a variety of finishes such as gold plated.
audio plug pendant DJ Inspired Jewelry
There’s also the audio plug pendant above. The plug is actually hollow inside so you can store an extremely small amount of something inside- maybe some “DJ powder”? It comes on a diamond cut sterling chain.
audio plug bracelet DJ Inspired Jewelry
Lastly is the audio plug bracelet. I like how it actually “plugs in” to function as a clasp. If you want to get down with these jewelry pieces you don’t have to drop the bass but you do have to drop a few hundred bucks depending upon the style.

Assassin’s Creed Ring: Don’t Wear It

…or do wear it. I don’t know anymore. Ubisoft’s take on assassins morphed from a dude who was at least trying to be discreet to death-dealing mob lords and empire-building pirate captains. So a large ring marked with the Assassins’ symbol – why do they even have a symbol anyway? – made from genuine sterling silver or gold is just a grain of sand in Obvious Beach.

Order the ring from Paul Michael Design for $275 (USD). Then fly a red and white plane and drop a nuclear bomb on your next target, making sure to skywrite “WE WORK IN THE DARK TO SAVE THE LIGHT WE ARE ASSASSINS” as you make your escape. I’m sure no one will notice.

Wonder Woman Ring: Put a Tiara on It

Here’s one of the latest offerings from one of our favorite geeky jewelers, Paul Michael Bierker. It’s a ring that looks just like Wonder Woman’s tiara. It has five custom cut rubies and can be made from sterling silver, gold, palladium or platinum alloy.

But don’t even think about using it as a tiny boomerang. The cheapest version of the ring costs $595 (USD); the most expensive version is a godlike $12,550. Fly your invisible browser to Paul’s Etsy shop to order the ring.
