Humanity is well on its way to a real-life Terminator uprising

The recent release of Terminator: Dark Fate saw both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton reprise their iconic roles and James Cameron's return to the director's chair. While the sentient killing machines depicted in the Terminator franchise are...

Life-size Wood & Cardboard T-800: Termite Hater

We’ve seen a full T-800 skeleton made out of LEGO. YouTuber Kaled Souky aka jaled79 proves that you can also make a decent Terminator animatronic out of balsa wood and cardboard too.

This isn’t just any motionless statue either. Kaled managed to make the model’s head and arms move with the help of an Arduino Pro 328, servos and pulleys. The legs are not motorized and are mainly there to provide support (and look cool of course), though Kaled says they can be set in various positions. You can skip to around 2:35 in the video to see the model come to life.

Kaled hopes to someday sell flat-pack kits of his T-800. Check out his blog post or the video’s description on YouTube for more on his project.

Terminator T-800 Stained Glass: Church of Skynetology

…and on the second movie he rose again. Stained Glass Co.’s large T-800 stained glass portrait is a wonderful homage to the one who sacrificed himself to save us all. Or is this the dude who tried to doom humanity?

The portrait measures about 4’x 3′ and is made of 500 opal glass pieces. Order it from Stained Glass Co. for $4,000 (USD). The shop also has a large Iron Man stained glass portrait for worshipers of the Holy Quaternity.

Life-Size LEGO T-800 Terminator: I’ll Be Brick

A life-size T-800 Terminator is one of those those that I hoped I would never live to see. Thank God this one is made of LEGO pieces and not Skynet parts. Even if he comes to life, so you could just take him apart brick by brick if you had to.

This 15,000-piece, full-scale Terminator T-800 LEGO model was built by Martin Latta. Quick! Hit it with a hammer and watch all of those bricks fall down. No, I haven’t seen the John Connor minifig, stop asking. My jacket is also not your size. Anyway, the detail on this awesome LEGO sculpture is very impressive.

How about a LEGO Terminator franchise of video games, LEGO guys? You have Batman and Star Wars, so why not?

Terminator Tattoos Turn You Into A T-800

attachment

You don’t really need to become an actor, or even a governor to be on Skynet’s good side. It seems all it takes is a couple tattoos and resigning your humanity.

You are in luck if you happen to know the extremely talented tattoo artist Yomico Moreno from Venezuela. He became ...

Dollar Store Terminator Replica

attachment

Creating a terminator replica doesn’t have to involve Skynet, and end-world antics. Just a good hand and a couple (not many!) spare dollars.

Using a bunch of $0.99 dollars spare parts, James made a replica of the Terminator’s skull, as seen in the original movies. Yeah, yeah, the sum of ...

T-800 Animatronic Terminator Bust Promises Not to Kill You

Terminator fans have seen their share of statues and busts, but I am willing to bet that they have never seen the likes of this T-800 bust. It doesn’t just sit there looking pretty. The eyes glow and it actually moves. It’s basically like having a real T-800 (from the shoulders up anyway,) except that it won’t kill you. I think.

This T-800 was created by Animatronics Works Japan and you won’t find a cooler robot head to display. The detail is amazing. Even the teeth were created based on images of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The whole thing is chrome plated using a “six-layer chrome plating” technique to reduce the signs of aging and degradation. It looks like the bidding for this thing starts at 900,000 yen (~$11,000 USD), though there are no bids yet. Does anyone care to guess how much it will sell for?
