This TARDIS Teapot and Mug Are Shinier on the Outside

Doctor Who fans have a huge selection of merchandise to choose from, so if you’re going to add to your collection, it better be something unique. I’ve seen lots of TARDISes before (or is it TARDI?), and even seen a TARDIS teapot. But this is definitely the first time I’ve seen such a delightfully shiny TARDIS teapot.

Plus Toynk’s TARDIS teapot comes with a matching TARDIS mug to go with it. Imagine heading out through space and time with your companion as you sip tea from a tiny police call box. The ceramic tea set is perfect for any Whovian.

If you’re ready for a delightful mug of tea to go with your Jammie Dodgers, you can grab this set for $64.99 over at Toynk. Surely, filling the TARDIS with searing hot tea won’t do anything strange to the space-time continuum.

Darth Vader Helmet Tea Kettle: I’m a Little Teapot Tall and Evil

Do you think Darth Vader sat in his round ball thing drinking tea at the end of a long, tough day of blowing up planets and force choking people? If he did this would be the kettle Lord Vader would use. This kettle will make hot water to get your favorite beverage going, be it coffee, hot chocolate, or tea.

The kettle looks like Vader’s iconic dark helmet and has a lightsaber for its handle. It’s made from 80% aluminum, 20% stainless steel, and 100% evil. It holds 1.7 liters of fluid, and is hand-wash only, just like Vader himself.

ThinkGeek will sell you a Darth Vader tea kettle for $39.99, and it is available now. It’s too bad the kettle whistles like a normal kettle rather than making the deep breathing sound Vader makes.

Tea for Three

double_01

Designed for modern microliving, the Double Compact Tea Maker does just as the name suggests. It’s been reduced to the bare essentials without sacrificing functionality to accommodate small households of 1, 2, or 3 people with limited kitchen space.

The “pot” actually consists of two internal pots. The infuser and the teapot are located inside of the water pot. The advantage of this twist in design is that it provides a better brewing experience by eliminating the possibility of accidental overturning and drip. Furthermore, it heats the pot in all direction to ensure an even brew.

The most important part of the project is the innovative brewing method. The tea maker directs the water to the inside of the pot tanks to the inverted conic structure inside the steam top where it is boiled. In just twenty minutes, the tea pot will fill with water. This gradual filling brews the tea in a tasty way without burning it or tainting the taste. Not only function, its glass-on-glass design is almost artistic and sculptural, meaning you’ll be happy to leave it out on your countertop!

Star Wars Imperial Ceramic Teapot: The Empire Steeps Black (Tea)

They don’t show it in the movies, but the Galactic Empire, like the British Empire, actually loves tea. It is a little known fact that during the battle of Hoth, Stormtroopers were having a tea party in the back of those AT-ATs. It went pretty well until some young Jedi tripped them up, and sent tea and china flying everywhere.

This is the teapot they used. It features TIE fighters zipping through a starfield, and a large Imperial logo. All of the Imperial forces are using one – probably because they all bought theirs from the Death Star gift shop just before it blew up. Now you can have one too.

It is only $29.99(USD) from ThinkGeek. Vader would approve.

Death Star Tea-for-one Teapot and Mug: That’s No Matcha!

If you like tea, and need something geeky to drink your warm beverage out of, here is just the ticket. It’s a teapot and mug set that looks like the Death Star. It’s fully-armed and operational, though it does have one fatal flaw which could be easily exploited by the Rebellion – it’s made from ceramics, so it could be destroyed without even having to find its exhaust port.

The teapot rests on top of the mug and the pot holds 12 oz. with the mug holding 6 oz. Both pieces can be put in the dishwasher or microwave. The markings on the set look sort of like hieroglyphics to me.

ThinkGeek has this for $24.99(USD) and you can pick one up today.

Check out this episode of the AWE me Artist Series, in which Marissa Deal demonstrates how to make a R2-D2 steampunk teapot that is cute as a button. One that actually makes a good hot cup of tea and will look great sitting on your kitchen counter.

We all need a droid butler that makes us tea and this one is absolutely perfect. Now all that’s missing is a steampunk C-3PO to give him a hard time.

I bet the Cap invites the whole team over and then has to replace Hulk’s cup every two seconds as it shatters in his big green hand. Just use two fingers Hulk. Oh, and be sure to keep your pinky out.

BB-8 Tea Set: Tea-B-8

Some droids fix starships, others work in medical facilities or carry the Empire’s mail. Still others live to serve in the kitchen, like this BB-8 tea set.

Turn a New (Tea) Leaf

upon_01

The Upon Tea Pot turns a new leaf for tea lovers by making the preparation and serving of tea a visual experience users can enjoy every day! Its shape takes inspiration from the origins of tea and represents the mountainous landscapes where clouds hover above and release water to the mountain tea fields below. The hand-blown glass also refracts light beautifully between the other cork and ceramic materials.
