3D Printing Factory Mass Producing Humanoid Robot Body Parts

Korean 3D printing company Glück produces the Sculpia printing platform. And in this video, it demonstrates the platform’s capabilities by creating an army of humanoid robot body parts. “Finally,” I imagine Skynet thinking to itself while making plans to mass produce a whole line of Terminators. Obviously, there has never been a better time to consider a career in space travel and escape this planet.

Unlike extrusion 3D printing, these body parts are made via stereolithography (SLA), in which a thermoset liquid resin is cured using a UV laser for an extra smooth finish and high level of detail. I mean, they are making faces; after all, you don’t want them coming out looking like a children’s drawing.

Soon you won’t even be able to tell if the person you’re talking to is an actual human or a robot. And I, for one, don’t plan on being around to see that happen. I’ll be living on an earth-like planet orbiting Proxima Centauri, some 4.25 light-years away from here. You have fun playing that guessing game, though.

Humanity is well on its way to a real-life Terminator uprising

The recent release of Terminator: Dark Fate saw both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton reprise their iconic roles and James Cameron's return to the director's chair. While the sentient killing machines depicted in the Terminator franchise are...

Terminator Dark Fate T-800 Action Figure Is Back

When Arnold said “I’ll be Back” in The Terminator, he solidified his throne as the summer blockbuster lead for the next several decades. The T-800 has appeared in several sequels, and this November he’s back again in Terminator: Dark Fate.

Fans of Arnold and the Terminator franchise can get this Dark Fate T-800 7″ action figure from NECA.

The figure is fully-articulated with “movie accurate” details and and authorized likeness of Arnie. It comes with an interchangeable head wearing sunglasses, and three deadly looking weapons to wield, presumably at the same time.

It’s available for preorder for $23.99 from Entertainment Earth and will ship this October.

Terminator T-800 Hand Tankard and Bookends: Cyberdyne Collectibles

You’ve seen the trailer for the latest Terminator movie, now check out these Terminator T-800 hand tankards and split head bookends from Merchoid. The Terminator is back, and this time he’s coming after your wallet.

Both are cast in resin and are hand painted to look like metal. The tankard even has a washable stainless steel insert for easy cleaning. They also both include the Cyberdyne Systems logo. That tankard looks pretty hefty and those bookends are going to look amazing on your shelf. It’s like owning some genuine Terminator parts.

I bet this is just another Skynet scheme to get into your home and take over, then end the world as we know it. Maybe that hand is going to come to life and start crawling around your house while the skull bookends vocally help it navigate. That hand is gonna make a mess of your house.

But here’s the thing. All of these mugs and bookends will all activate at once. Here’s the other thing. There are more parts out there and they are all gonna come together like a bunch of Voltrons and kill us all.
