3D Printed Light-up The Sims Plumbob: Mood Ring for Your Head

Engineering student/maker/currently selected character Daniel Harari can make his feelings unequivocal with his DIY The Sims Plumbob. The battery-powered accessory has RGB lights that he controls with an Android app via Bluetooth. I think he’s in a good mood.

Daniel used Thingiverse user Jigsawnz’ 3D model for the Plumbob itself. He crammed in an Arduino Pro Mini, a Bluetooth module, six RGB LEDs and a step-up converter inside the 3D printed Plumbob. He attached the Plumbob and an AA battery compartment to a headband to make them easy to put on. The free Android app that he uses to manage the LEDs has an RGB scale, which means he can make the LEDs light up in millions of different colors.

Daniel says he’s thinking of rigging the headgear to an EEG reader so that the LEDs will actually reflect the wearer’s mood, but he’s happy with what he’s happy with what he has for now. Build a house with no doors, plop in a computer and head to Daniel’s blog to find out how you can build your own The Sims Plumbob.

Sims 4 Mod Uncensors Game

One of the most popular games that EA offers is The Sims and the game is now on its fourth version. The Sims 4 has a new mod that players tired of those pixelated blocks covering the modesty of your Sims may want to check out.

The No Mosaic / Censor Mod replaces those blocks with a normal image. In the sample photo here, there really isn’t any nudity, but you get to see the stream of virtual urine rather than pixel blocks covering the Sim from elbow to knee.

The mod uncensors Sims when peeing, showering, breastfeeding, and streaking. You won’t see any Sim boobies though, since under their clothing, the Sims are like anatomically-incorrect Barbie dolls. You can bet a mod for that is in the works though.
