LEGO-inspired waffle maker lets you create brick-shaped stackable waffle art!

It’s probably one of the only few instances where parents will encourage kids to ‘play with their food’!

When you stare at a waffle, you may see a beautiful dessert with a crispy exterior and a fluffy interior… I just see an incredible opportunity for a form redesign! Sure, the waffle’s pretty perfect the way it is. Those scooped surfaces are great for filling honey, maple syrup, banana chunks, chocolate chips, etc… but unless you plan on turning your waffle into a decadent layered dessert every single time, the waffle shape could really use a fun reinterpretation.

The CucinaPro Building Brick Electric Waffle Maker gives the humble breakfast food a new twist, turning the large square waffle into a series of stackable bricks! The waffle maker’s heat plate is designed to resemble a LEGO-ish mold, and the resulting waffles come with studs on the upper surface, and hollow areas on the lower surface to allow the waffle bricks to lock into each other. The patent-pending design lets you make 14 bricks of different sizes with each serving, allowing you to explore quite literally a new dimension when it comes to food. Stacked pancakes have nothing on these brick waffles!

Each CucinaPro Building Brick Electric Waffle Maker also comes with 2 serving plates designed to provide the perfect stacking/eating experience. The plates are equipped with studs that make the perfect base structure for your build, while two small containers on the side let you store your accouterments, be it maple syrup, sliced fruits, or cubes of butter.

Building Brick Waffle Maker: LEGGO My LEGO

Of the many things I’ve enjoyed in my life, LEGO bricks and belgian waffles are pretty high on the list. So I was pretty stoked when I saw this waffle maker that lets you combine these two passions of mine into one.

The Building Brick Waffle Maker works just like any other waffle iron, except this one cranks out stackable blocks that you can build things with. It makes three different sizes of building bricks: 1×1, 1×2, and 1×4, and they have cutouts on their bottoms so they interlock just like LEGO.

You can make all kinds of edible sculptures with your waffle bricks, from small waffle houses, to giant waffle mansions. Your only constraint is your imagination – and your bowl of batter. Of course, I prefer to eat my waffles while they’re piping hot, so I don’t know if I’d get very far before I started to dig into my constructions.

The guys behind the project are making matching plates which serve as a base for stacking waffle bricks, and also have a couple of little side trays for dipping syrup or butter. While they’re not essential for building, they make a nice accessory.

You can pre-order the Building Brick Waffle Maker over on Kickstarter now. They’ve already met their funding goal, so that’s great news. Prices start at just $50 for the waffle iron itself, and start at $75 for a bundle with two baseplates for building. They hope to start shipping as soon as August 2020.

Bob Ross Waffle Maker Could Double as Ronald McDonald Waffle Maker

We’ve got Bob Ross POP! Figures, a toaster that will burn the painter’s image onto your bread and now, I present to you the Bob Ross face waffle maker. That’s right, now you can make waffles in the shape of Bob Ross’ head. I think we might be at peak Bob Ross right now. At least I hope so because this is getting ridiculous.

This electric waffle maker will cost you $40. It makes waffles that look a bit like the famous painter if he was made of flour and sugar. I gotta say, the waffles it produces look more like an angry clown to me. Like Ronald McDonald being tortured. So I’m calling any meal you make with this thing an unhappy meal.

How could you eat this? I would be terrified with every bite. It just looks like it is in complete agony. Like you have just cooked his very soul and trapped it in a waffle after he saw a bunch of happy little trees get cut down. I don’t want to look at that face as I eat. As it is, I’m off waffles for a while after seeing this thing. I just can’t.

I’m sorry Bob. You deserve so much better.

This Waffle Stick Maker Will Drastically Increase You Consumption of Waffle Sticks

What can be more exciting than being able to make waffle sticks whenever you want? I mean,  I guess a lot of things, but waffle sticks are pretty cool too.

The Babycakes Waffle Stick Maker Mini makes making waffle sticks much easier than making waffle sticks by using a regular waffle maker, by making waffles that are already sticks (I’m so sorry). The design means that everytime you make cook waffles, they come out ready to dip in your favorite healthy toppings, like melted chocolate, Nutella or just good ol’ syrup.

I mean, you could just cut up regular waffles into sticks, but what are you, a psychopath or something?

It’s available for $13. Though it only makes 4 small sticks at a time, so it might feel a little ridiculous going back so many times for more. Is there such a thing as going back for eights?

Stormtrooper Helmet Toaster And Waffle Maker: TK-42-WANT

They can’t shoot straight. They are easily mind-controlled and they just aren’t very good soldiers, but stormtroopers can make an awesome breakfast thanks to this Stormtrooper Helmet Toaster and Waffle Maker.

Whether you like your toast on the light or dark side, this is a cool toaster for any fan. The iconic white stormtrooper helmet seems perfectly designed to have 2 toast slots on top. This is probably how Darth Vader makes his toast, while laughing maniacally in his chambers as the toast pops up. The waffle maker will look great in your kitchen as well, cranking out waffles that look just like a Stormtrooper’s helmet.

Either of these would make a great gift for any Star Wars fan. They’re both available from Amazon now. The toaster goes for about $55, while the waffle maker is $40.

Pixel Waffle Maker Lets You Create Custom Pixel Waffles

pixel-waffles

This is a cool waffle maker featuring a 9 X 9 silicone tray where you can push individual “pixels” in and out, lock them in place, and create a custom design. Yes, the number of things you can draw with 81 pixels is limited, but just think of it as a challenge not so unlike the one facing early 8-bit game designers.

The appliance is currently being considered by Quirky for production, which means there’s no price set yet.

Fancy up Your Breakfast with the Louis Vuitton Waffle Maker

I think one of the reasons why designer branded stuff is so sought-after is because of the often ludicrous price tag that they carry. (Note that I said that was only one of the reasons, because others could also appreciate it’s beauty, design, and craftsmanship.) Take, for example, a Louis Vuitton handbag. You can buy one tote for close to a thousand bucks, or go for a functional, unbranded handbag that goes for just a hundred dollars.

If your significant other is clamoring for you to get her some designer goods, I’d say turn to a cheaper and ultimately creative alternative. Like this Louis Vuitton Waffle Maker. (Or maybe just a single waffle.)

It’s just a concept design that Andrew Lewicki thought of, but it would be one of those appliances that would exist because of the novel factor they bring.

You might not be able to afford an LV purse for your girl (or for yourself, if you happen to be a girl), but with one of these, at least you could chew on freshly-branded waffles every morning.
