Two-Faced Dalek Wedding Cake

This Dalek cake is like a Doctor Who mullet, business in front, party in back. Or is it the opposite here? The cake features a Dalek on the front half, and on back it is a traditional wedding cake. It was baked and decorated by the folks at Wellingborough, United Kingdom based Amelia Rose Cake Studio.


It probably represents the bride and the groom, because the wife can be a real Dalek. Know what I mean? Nah. I kid. It represents the two stages of marriage: Happiness, then extermination. Nah. I kid. I kid. I love marriage.


Seriously, this is an awesome Doctor Who wedding cake that incorporates the best of both worlds, both geeky and traditional.

Hopefully this zombie wedding cake tastes better than it looks, because it looks pretty disgusting. Normally wedding cakes are created to be beautiful and tasteful. This does not look beautiful, tasteful or tasty. It looks like some bakery got infected with a zombie virus and the cakes were not immune.

This is the perfect cake if you want people to fear your marriage. It was created by Cake Cove bakery for their Zombie Horde event in Toronto, Canada. This is a cake you would never forget taking a bite out of. The only way it could get better would be if a zombie actually burst out from within and started attacking guests.

We’ve seen our share of geeky wedding cakes here at Technabob. Usually they stick to one of the couple’s favorite geek interests. Maybe two if they can’t decide. But what do you do if you love all of the things? You make a cake like this.

This wedding cake from Divine Cakes is positively exploding with multiple geek themes. It can’t contain them all, so it splits open to show a variety of cool things. Batman is here, as well as Doctor Who, Star Trek, Star Wars, and Firefly. I’m not really sure about the rest.

When you can’t make up your mind, just throw it all in your cake. Enjoy it while it lasts, because it’s all gonna get eaten in the end anyway.

This LEGO Block Wedding Cake Is Still Under Construction

This wedding cake was created by Cupcakes by SJ for a cousin’s wedding day. The interesting thing about this cake is that it will never be complete. I mean, because it looks like it’s under construction. However, it will be finished. It’s probably long gone already. But I would have finished it much faster. I can’t resist a LEGO cake.

This cake has a LEGO minifig bride and groom on top and the best part is that it gives the impression that it is being built by LEGO construction workers or chefs, right before your eyes. Now this is the proper way to start a marriage folks. This says love.

NES Wedding Cake: Nuptial Edible System

Australian cake shop Cara Mia Cake made this realistic life-size NES cake for Vanessa and Chris Harding’s wedding. Instead of plastic and metal the chocolate cake is “filled with a cookies and cream white chocolate ganache.”

According to the Herald Sun, the cake looked so realistic the newlywed’s guests could barely believe it wasn’t an actual console. Vanessa also told the paper that gaming on Nintendo’s system was one of their first common hobbies, and that she still has the NES she got when she was a kid.

Severed Heads Cake: Till Death Do us Part

Man, this couple really takes the whole “till death do us part” thing seriously. This great wedding cake has both the bride and the groom decapitated. Well, two heads are better than one, even on a cake.

This is either very romantic or very disgusting depending on your perspective. Yes this was actually a wedding cake and the bride and groom held their wedding at one of Austin’s Alamo Drafthouse cinemas, which seems appropriate.

I really thought that this was how Dexter was going to end, with a grand wedding and two decapitations. See what you missed out on Showtime? This could have been your haunting final scene. Oh well, in my mind that’s how it ended.
