LEGO Luke Skywalker and Yoda Dagobah Training Playset: Do or Do Not Buy

Master Yoda training Luke on Dagobah: it’s an iconic movie scene. And what better way to immortalize Luke’s struggle to gain control over the Force than with an official LEGO set? I can’t think of any. Come on, Luke, lift that X-Wing out of the swamp – you can do it! No? Dammit, Luke, Darth Vader is your father!

The exactly 1,000-piece set will retail for $79.99, and you can pre-order it on the LEGO site now. It includes Yoda’s modest hut, a large Gnarltree, Luke’s X-Wing peeking one of its wings out of the swamp, as well as Luke, Yoda, and R2-D2 minifigs. Remember when Yoda made Luke carry him around like a backpack? That was my favorite part. My cousins make me do the same thing for them.

There’s no question this will make a lovely addition to all the other Star Wars LEGO sets I already own, which is all of them. Yep, all 700+ of them. Can you believe there are so many Star Wars LEGO sets? My wife sure can, especially when she’s trying to navigate absolutely anywhere in the house without stepping on any.

LEGO Star Wars Set Lets You Build a Giant Yoda

You’ve been able to get a LEGO minifig of Yoda for a long time now, but if you want a more substantial way to pay tribute to the green Jedi master, then check out this new LEGO set, which lets you build a jumbo-size model of Yoda.

LEGO set number 75255 lets you build a 16″ tall sculpture of Yoda from 1771 bricks, and includes lots of neat details, like a posable head and eyebrows, as well as fingers and toes that move. Naturally, he’s got his iconic green lightsaber in hand, and is ready to do battle with the Dark Side of the Force.

The set also includes a fact plaque about Yoda, a display stand, and a Yoda minifigure, dressed in the same garb as the jumbo model you just built. The set will retail for $99.99, and will be available on October 4, 2019 from LEGO.com and LEGO retail stores.

Do or do not buy this Yoda Glitter Globe. There is no try. Your holidays are just not complete until you decorate with some cool Star Wars merch, like this Jedi Master Yoda Musical Glitter Globe With Lights.

This fancy-schmancy snow, I mean glitter globe is available from The Bradford Exchange for $99.99. Yoda is bathed in blue light inside the sphere, and his famous quote is printed on the base with a soft yellow glow. This is the Jedi master of your collection. Display him proudly. He is wise and glowing like a force ghost.

It also plays music, but we don’t know what tune(s) exactly. It could be the theme from The Empire Strikes Back or it could be Micheal Jackson’s Thriller, heck, it could even be the theme from Shaft. We have no idea since they don’t say. But probably it’s something from Star Wars. Call it a hunch.

Hopefully, it can teach you to be a Jedi like your father before you, but it probably just sits on your shelf looking neat, and reminding you that you are not a Jedi. Yoda can’t teach you anything while trapped in that globe.

When you see a Tiki-styled anything, you immediately think of some relaxing vacation somewhere exotic. But what if the Tiki mugs (in this case), looked like Star Wars characters?

Well, you’d probably still be thinking of a Tiki Bar and going (or dreaming about) a vacation somewhere in the Caribbean, but obviously, with a Star Wars twist. Why? Well, it’s impossible to look at Yoda, Boba Fett, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, R2-D2 or just your average Stormtrooper and not get even more carried away in your imagination.

How far? Maybe reimagining Star Wars locations (We seem to get a lot of desert-like spots) in a more tropical way. My imagination isn’t that great, but yours is, probably, I’m assuming.

The mugs are ceramic, and besides being great for serving cocktails, they look great just standing somewhere in the house. All six type of mugs are officially-licensed Star Wars merchandise, and while it might be difficult to cope with, they’re not Microwave or Dishwasher safe. That means you’ll never be able to make one of those famous Microwave cocktails everyone keeps talking about. Yoda Cake with Floating Wedding Cake: A Jedi Craves This Thing

Peboryon specializes in both traditional wedding cakes as well as sculpted ones. So for their exhibit at Cake International Birmingham, the Cornwall-based cake shop made a life-sized Yoda cake that appears to be using its Force power on a wedding cake.

While it seems that magnets were involved in the trick, Peboryon’s proprietor Christine Jensen doesn’t want to reveal how exactly they made the cake. They did tell the Cornishman that they spent 8 months planning and making the pastry combo. Here’s SWNS TV’s interview with Christine:

As expected, the cakes were a hit with both the crowd and the convention’s organizers, netting Christine one of the Silver badge awards for the show’s wedding cake category.
