Kingston UV500 SATA 6.0 Gbps SSDs Introduced

Kingston has introduced a new line of SATA 6.0 Gbps SSDs, the UV500. Coming in 120GB, 240GB, 480GB and 960GB capacities, these slim 2.5-inch SSDs (7mm thick) are built with 3D TLC NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, a Marvell 88SS1074 controller, 256-bit AES Hardware Encryption support and an MTBF of 1 million hours.

Performance-wise, the UV500 SSDs promise to deliver sequential read/write speeds of up to 520/320MB/s (120GB model), 520/500MB/s (240GB model), 520/500MB/s (480GB model) and 520/500MB/s (960GB model), respectively. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing yet. [Product Page]
