This Miniature Xbox Series X Says “Hold My Drink.”

miniature Xbox Series X 1

Do you not like having your drink can sitting out on your desk? You could get toss your can in your desk drawer, or you could hide it inside of a miniature Xbox Series X. This tiny video game console looks just like the real deal, though it’s designed to hold a drink can instead of playing games. I suppose you could put a Raspberry Pi game system inside of it and use it to play games if you really wanted to.

Etsy seller QTechV makes this 3D-printed mini-game system, complete with green LED lighting. It’s the right size for one of those 16 oz. energy drink cans, each of which provides enough caffeine to keep a gamer going for 18 minutes. So you’re gonna need to buy a bunch of these miniature Xboxes if you want to store a day’s worth of energy drinks.

This swirling orb of ice helps make your drinks look amazing and cool faster too!

This could be the mildly delusional me speaking but oh, what I’d give to be in a crowded bar, not being able to hear myself think while sipping on an Old Fashioned and admiring the swirling orb of ice in it. As perfect as that orb does tend to look with the orange peel above it and the alcohol around it, it seems like it could be perfected, be engineered to look better, and perform better.

It isn’t often that something as mundane as an ice-mold wins a design award, but it seems like the Icy Galaxy deserves recognition. Designed to look like a beautiful wavy orb of ice, the Icy Galaxy sphere does two things – It creates an interesting interaction with the liquid it’s immersed in, especially when the liquid slides into the orb’s multiple crevasses, but at the same time, it also helps rapidly cool drinks down by increasing the icy orb’s surface area (similar to how motorcycle engines come with fins that increase their surface area allowing wind to cool them more effectively). The orbs are crafted using silicone+plastic molds that create two spheres at a time, and the resulting ice spheres look absolutely mesmerizing when suspended in colorful liquids… sort of like galaxies within your glass!

The Icy Galaxy Ice Mold is a winner of the A’ Design Award for the year 2020.

Keg-A-Droid Is a Remote Controlled Beer Keg

Finally, a robot that can bring me a fresh beer on tap. What you are looking at is the Keg-A-Droid from SuperDroid Robots. Yes, it is a remote-controlled beer keg and tap on wheels. Who needs R2-D2? Sure you can help fly an X-Wing, but where’s my beer?

The R/C beer-delivery robot can be steered to wherever beer is needed. Which just happens to be wherever I’m standing. The Keg-A-Droid can carry a slim 1/4th barrel or 1/6th barrel keg inside a 1/2 barrel sized keg shell which can be filled with ice to keep the inner keg cold. When the ice melts, just unplug the drain to let the water out, and refill it. The prebuilt Keg-a-Droid also comes with a tap mounting post, keg tap system, and drip tray. Sure, $2,400 is a bit steep, but we are talking beer delivered to you whenever you need it. You can’t put a price on some things.

Just wait for the bot to arrive and fill up that empty pint glass and enjoy. 2019 is finally becoming the amazing modern world that was promised to us. Seriously, this is the droid I’m looking for.

The Hydro Flask Cooler Cup is a life-saver for those hot summer picnics

Insulated sleeve to keep your beverages chilled - Hydro Flask Cooler Cup

I imagine that there are just a few things that are worse than drinking lukewarm beverages in the heat. Imagine cracking open a chilled can of soda, taking a sip, and then forgetting about it for a minute only to find that the soda is now at room temperature. It doesn’t taste the same, does it? Certain drinks are best served chilled, but the minute you’re outdoors, you’re left with a very small window of time before those drinks ‘lose their cool’.

The Hydro Flask Cooler Cup greatly expands that window of time. Designed to keep your chilled beverages frosty (or even keep hot drinks hot), the Hydro Flask Cooler Cup is a versatile little holder for your bottle/can that allows the drinks within them to maintain their temperature for longer. A silicone sleeve allows you to snugly and securely fit your drink can or bottle into the Cooler Cup, letting your drink stay refreshingly cool for longer.

The Hydro Flask Cooler Cup comes made from recycled stainless steel, and with a proprietary construction that insulates liquids you put inside it. In fact, aside from using it as a holder for your bottle or can, you can directly use the Cooler Cup as a tumbler/glass by directly pouring drinks into it! Basically anything to escape drinking room-temperature beverages again…

AT-AT Liquor Cabinet Perfect for Serving Up Your Johnnie (Imperial) Walker Black

I’ve always wanted one of those fancy liquor cabinets in my house. I’m not talking about the type that look like an old globe either. I want a really cool one. Perhaps something really original, like one that looks like an AT-AT Imperial Walker. Oh, what’s that you say? Somebody already beat me to the punch? Damn.

Yep, what you’re looking at here is the most awesome bar for serving up your finest booze – all in the shape of an AT-AT. Luckily, it has yet to be brought down by a snow speeder’s tow cables, as that would be a horrible tragedy. The cabinet appears to be handcrafted from wood and brass, and stands at least 4 or 5 feet tall – unless those guys in the photo are Ewoks disguised as humans.

I know not from whence this tasty morsel of awesome comes, other than the fact that these photos were posted up on imgur back in 2011. If you happen to have been involved in the construction of this monument to geeky greatness, speak up and take credit where credit is due. I’ll be over here in the corner, keeping warm with a Hoth Toddy.

New York Hotel Makes 20-Pound Hot Chocolate

Look at this giant ass cup of hot chocolate. Those little cups you see are normal sized mugs arrayed around it because it’s so massive it’s meant for sharing punch bowl style. I bet you can’t drink it all yourself, but you can try. It’s packed not only with hot and chocolaty liquid, but the gigantic drink also has cinnamon sticks, whipped cream and plenty of jumbo-size toasted marshmallows.

Along with all that tastiness, you can also add your favorite adult beverage to the mix. Maybe something minty, or some Bailey’s to round out the package? The giant drink is being made in celebration of National Hot Chocolate Day on January 31 (who knew that was a thing?)

You can order a giant cup at PHD Terrace at the Dream Midtown hotel in New York City. Bring friends to help drink the beast and to pay for it; the giant spiked cocoa will run you a whopping $375.
