Patriot Memory has just added a new storage capacity to its Ignite SSD line-up by announcing the 2TB model. Just like the 240GB, 480GB and 960GB models, the 2TB model is also built with MLC NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, a Phison S10 controller, TRIM support, SMART support and an MTBF of 2 million hours.

Compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Mac OS X and Linux operating systems, this slim 2.5-inch SSD (7mm thick) comes with intelligent advanced wear-leveling function and ECC Recovery function @ 115bits/2KB, and promises to deliver read and write speeds of up to 560MB/s and 500MB/s, respectively.

Coming in four different storage capacities: 120GB, 240GB, 480GB and 960GB, these slim 2.5-inch SSDs (7mm thick) are equipped with TLC NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, a quad-core, 8-channel Phison S10 controller, TRIM support, SMART support and built-in ECC function.

In terms of performance, the BLAST SSDs can deliver read/write speeds of up to 560/425 MB/s (120GB model), 560/530MB/s (240GB model) and 560/540 MB/s (480GB & 960GB models), respectively.
