Millenium Falcon Wireless Charger: Charge Your Phone In Parsecs

Modeled after Han Solo’s infamous flying bucket of bolts, the Geeknet Star Wars Millennium Falcon Wireless Charger (on sale for $26 at GameStop) is a wireless fast charger capable of juicing up any device with wireless charging capabilities (including Samsung and Apple phones). But can it do it in less than 12 parsecs? It better, or I’m demanding my money back.

The charger has a nice 3D look to it and measures approximately 11″ x 6.5″ x 1.5″, so it isn’t just a boring flat pad. Plus, the Falcon’s thrusters glow blue when your device is fully charged. Obviously, I’m only going to put already-charged devices on it, so it always glows blue because I’m much more into form than actual function.

I have a wireless charger on my bedside table so my phone charges while I sleep, but I always miss getting it on the pad before bed, so I wake up to a phone that’s guaranteed to die sometime during the day. Probably at the worst time possible. If there’s a logical solution to this problem, I sure don’t see it.

Hallmark’s Keepsake 2021 Millennium Falcon Christmas Ornament

Because nothing quite says Christmas like Star Wars (back me up, 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special!), Hallmark is releasing this 2021 Keepsake Ornament of the Millennium Falcon (affiliate link). The metal ship measures 3.78″ wide, 1.4″ tall, 5.22″ long, and features a shiny silver finish. And with all the Mandalorian ornaments I’ve already purchased this year, I could probably decorate an entire Christmas tree with a Star Wars theme.

The ornament was designed by Hallmark artist Robert Hurlburt. However, I’m fairly certain the Corellian Engineering Corporation deserves most of the credit for building the YT-1300f light freighter the Millennium Falcon was modded from in the first place. Star Wars joke!

My wife and I have an entire box of Hallmark Keepsake ornaments commemorating different special occasions and anniversaries throughout the years. Or, I should say, we had an entire box of Hallmark Keepsake ornaments before I accidentally donated them all to Goodwill after mistaking the box for our old dinnerware. Obviously, I sadly expect my Christmas list to go largely unanswered this year.

Columbia Star Wars Outer Rim Collection: Gone Sithin’

There are probably a dozen Star Wars collaborations available at any given moment, but this one from Columbia is low-key bizarre yet still desirable. First off, the Outer Rim collection features Star Wars characters integrated into a line of shirts from Columbia’s Performance Fishing Gear (PFG) line. Second, the print on the shirts depicts tropical leaves, which hide not just the heroic X-Wing and Millennium Falcon, but also stormtroopers, TIE fighters, and Darth Vader himself. Kinda ominous don’t you think? Also, where are the Mon Calamari?!

As with other PFG apparel, these shirts feature lightweight fabric with rear ventilation, anti-UV treatment, and, er, a rod holder. Whatever, it works and I’m down for it. You can order the shirts from Columbia right now. The adult male shirt costs $65 (USD), the adult female sleeveless top goes for $60, and the unisex children’s shirt is priced at $45.

This Millennium Falcon Fire Pit Has Got Fire in Her Belly

She may not look like much, but this fire pit has got it where it counts, kid. Normally, if you saw giant flames shooting out of the Millennium Falcon, you’d think it was curtains for Han and Chewie. But this version of their ship is designed to take plenty of heat as it emerges from hyperspace with the Empire on its tail.

This awesome Millennium Falcon fire pit was built by artist Alex Dodson of Burned by Design, and definitely looks like it could outrun one of their TIE Fighter candlesticks. Want to know how it did the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs? Fire is always a good source of motivation.

The fire pit measures 74 x 38 x 40cm (appx. 29.1″ x 15″ x 15.7″), and is welded together from durable 3mm mild steel. The design incorporates laser cut parts to give the ship lots of cool details, and its back section flips up to provide easy access to add and remove logs. I wonder if this how they work on the engines of the actual Millennium Falcon when they bring it in for service.

All this Star Wars craftsmanship doesn’t come cheap though. This unique fire pit is listed at over $1100 over on Burned by Design’s Etsy shop, and that doesn’t include the $200 or so it’ll cost to ship this thing over from the UK. If only they could ship it via hyperspace.

Millennium Falcon Cutting Board: Punch (and Chop) It Chewie!

The Millennium Falcon is best known for its ability to do the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs. But did you know it’s also suitable for cutting parsnips? Or chopping onions? Or julienning carrots? Well, it is if you pick up this Millennium Falcon cutting board from Promi Design.

This $50 cutting board is the perfect addition to any Star Wars geek’s kitchen and would look awesome alongside your X-Wing Fighter knife set and R2-D2 measuring cups. I don’t know if Chewbacca’s knife skills are as sharp as his bowcaster skills, but I do know he’d do a pretty good job ripping turkey bones out of their sockets, so he’d still make a good sous chef. Even if you don’t chop too much stuff in your kitchen, this wooden cutting board will look great sitting on your counter or hanging on your wall from the attached leather handle.

The Millennium Falcon cutting board is made from glued solid woods and measures 14.5″ x 10.6″ x 0.8″, which is way smaller than I remember the actual Falcon being. Though this one only needs to be big enough to hold some tomatoes, so I guess that’s okay.

Millennium Falcon Bouncy House: Jump to Hyperspace

Are you ready to jump to hyperspace without leaving your neighborhood block party? Well, now you can, thanks to the release of this new bouncy house that looks just like the Millennium Falcon.

Created by bouncy house experts Magic Jump, the Millennium Falcon Hyperspace Jump Experience is a 35 foot-wide inflatable that’s sure to be a hit at any Star Wars-themed party. This officially-licensed jump house is covered with graphics based on Han and Chewie’s trusty ship, and has lots of neat details outside and in.

As you can see from the video walkthrough below, it’s got the Falcon’s cockpit – complete with a view of the galaxy whipping by, along with a spot to sit and take in a game of Dejarik. At least inflatable Chewbacca won’t rip your arms off if you beat him. There are also inflatables of C-3PO and R2-D2 along for the ride.

Whether you run a bouncy house rental company or just want one of these permanently in your backyard, it isn’t exactly cheap, with a list price of $11,495 – though Magic Jump is currently offering it for just $9,495, which I’m sure you could quickly make back doing some smuggling runs.

Star Wars Millennium Falcon Pocket Watch: It’s 12:30. I know.

The Millennium Falcon is one of the most iconic ships in the Star Wars universe that was a character in its own right. Han and Chewie flew that ship all over the place and got up to all sorts of scoundrel business in it. If you need to tell time and want to do it with something other than an everyday wrist watch or smartphone, here is the ticket – a Millennium Falcon pocket watch from Accutime.

The image isn’t clear, but I assume the top of the Falcon pops open to reveal the hands of the watch inside. It’s set to ship in April for $15.99. I wouldn’t expect it to keep time all that well for the money, but Star Wars fans will still love it. You can preorder it now at Entertainment Earth.

Fortnite Player Recreates The Millennium Falcon

Creative mode is a pretty awesome addition to Fortnite. It allows players to do some neat things without having to worry about your being shot down by a player or the storm forcing you to move. And with a player base as huge as Fortnite’s is there are many creative players, which means more cool stuff is being built daily. I love it.

One of the best creations is this Millennium Falcon. YouTuber MakaMakes put together this impressive recreation of Han Solo’s ship, but it’s not just a nicely-detailed model on the outside, it also recreates the inside of the famous ship. Han Solo would be proud. Check it out in all its glory in the video below:

I’ve never created anything like this in the game myself, but I imagine this took a good bit of time and effort. Maybe players can create other Star Wars landmarks and turn Fortnite into a giant Star Wars playground. That would be awesome, although I imagine that the game developer may have a problem with that at some point. But it would still be very cool to see it happen.

Rent a Millennium Falcon Carriage Stroller For Florida Disney Park Visits

When you have small kids it’s harder to get around, which is why strollers were invented. And when you have small kids and you are a geek… you need an appropriately geeky stroller. Fantasy Strollers is a stroller rental company based in Orlando, Florida. They offer Millennium Falcon and Cinderella carriage strollers so you can push your kids around Disney parks in style.

Both versions can carry two small children and they even have lighting effects. The Falcon model even has an interior light choice of red or blue for dark-sided or light-sided occupants. It’s never too early to start your kid on the road to being a Star Wars nerd after all.

That Millenium Falcon stroller also has a control panel, fans, and sound effects. No hyperdrive, though. There’s a new model of the carriage stroller being released in January, 2019 that will have seats that convert into a bed too. Nice. Just more weight for parents to push around.

Like most things at Disney’s theme parks, renting these strollers isn’t exactly cheap. It costs $130 to use one for 8 hours, then $20 for every additional hour. Kids today have so many cool things. Where’s the Millennium Falcon for adults to be pushed around in?

Most of us already can’t afford to go to Disney’s parks and now the cost just went up because your kid will have to take a ride in one of these.

Gigantic Millennium Falcon Drone Has it Where is Counts, Kid.

This certainly isn’t the first Millennium Falcon drone we have seen. We talked about one years back, but that one was relatively tiny. This much more impressive Millennium Falcon drone is gigantic and has four rotors inside holes in the spaceship’s body to make it fly.

It’s made by Air Hogs and promises to be highly detailed. It measures 27″ x 20″ and is controlled using 2.4 GHz communications for a range of 250 feet. The drone also has two things Han and Chewie’s ship didn’t have: 6-axis gyro stabilization, and a barometric pressure height lock system. I assume that the height lock system keeps it from flying off when you play outdoors.

While it does look really cool, most of the reviews out there say that it’s really difficult to fly due to its awkward balancing and aerodynamics. So I wouldn’t expect stable flight here. On the plus side, it’s already deeply discounted from its original $300 price tag, and you can pick on up on Amazon for just over $100.
