Hank feed bowl helps your dog eat slowly and carefully

I may not have pets or rather, I’m not really fond of pets. But I have enough friends around me who have dogs that I know some of the problems that the owners face when it comes to feeding their fur babies. One thing that I hear is that their dogs can sometimes get too hungry or greedy (or both) and gobble down their food from their dog bowl like there’s no tomorrow. Unfortunately, they can sometimes create a mess around them or worse, choke on their food.

Designer: Passakorn Kulkliang

One solution to this is to create a feed bowl that has some “barriers” that will force them to slow down while partaking their meal. The “Hank” feed bowl is one such product concept that is designed in a maze pattern to prevent them from gobbling all of the food up in one go without lifting their head, which can sometimes lead to choking and clogging of their digestive tract. The narrow and small holes that make it a maze can also separate the different kinds of food, if that’s something you or your dog like.

The bowl itself is made from silicone and can be easily removed for cleaning, which you should do often of course. It’s placed inside a container that has a cover to keep dirt and other unhygienic things away from their food. The designer also says that the “working principle of the cover will automatically turn on” when it detects that your dog is nearby. I’m assuming this means that the cover will be automatically lifted when it knows your dog is going to start eating.

Hank also comes with a silicone strap so you can bring it with you when you’re going out to walk the dog and you expect that your baby will get hungry. Don’t worry, you won’t force the dog to carry it with him. The strap is actually for you and your finger. The bowl itself comes in various bright colors while the case, cover, and strap are just white and gray. It’s cute and actually looks like a toy so your dog can be forgiven if it starts playing with it after they finish eating.

This sleek modern pet furniture collection ditches fluff for a stylish blend of comfort and aesthetics!

This line of modern pet furniture from Nicolas Cunsolo features a dog bed, food bowl carrier, and a small toy for your dog to get a day’s worth of fun and relaxation.

Pet furniture tends to embrace fluff over modernity. It makes sense–dogs love the fluff. If they didn’t, our couches would still be intact. But the fluffier the dog bed, the less likely it is to fit in our homes.

Modern dog bed designs have come a long way from prioritizing comfort over versatility. Argentinian industrial designer Nicolas Cunsolo created a line of pet furniture for the modern home that maximizes comfort but doesn’t skimp out on aesthetics.

Cunsolo’s modern pet furniture is constructed with a wooden frame that props up a taut, yet plush cushion where your pup can rest. Designed with a curved base, the collection’s dog bed provides a slight overhang for your dog while they’re resting on the cushion. The pet furniture designed by Cunsolo is made of different materials to provide a flexible, yet rigid feel for the dog bed.

In addition to the dog bed, Cunsolo’s furniture collection comes with a water and food bowl station, composed of a wooden frame with two circular frames that keep bowls in place for your pup to eat and drink from.

The water and food bowl frame also has a wooden build, keeping a dark wood stain and polished look to appeal to more modern kitchens.

When dogs eat and drink from the frame’s bowls, a sliding mechanism angles them to meet your dog’s mouth. The raised platform and sliding mechanism make the bowl frame ideal for aging dogs who have trouble outstretching their necks.

Cunsolo also designed a small toy for dogs to play with that keeps a similar profile to the collection’s dog bed, echoing its curved and taut design. Dogs can play with the collection’s toy for a while, drink water from the raised bowl afterward until they find a bit of respite in the furniture line’s modern dog bed.

From pouncing around with the toy, to a much-needed water break, and finally a power nap, this collection has a little bit of everything.

Conceptualized in three different styles, the dog toy won’t look out of place in the living room.

Clean lines and an overall curved design offers a modern appeal to this collection of pet furniture.

This adaptable food bowl for dogs was designed with a customizable stand to match your dog’s height!

Nest Bowl is a food and water bowl designed for dogs with an optional, silicone-lined stand that elevates the food bowl so that your dog won’t have to strain their necks every meal.

Pet food bowls aren’t the most adaptable products on the market. As our dogs grow older, straining their necks to meet low-rising food and water bowls might make eating and drinking feel like a chore. It’s important that dogs can eat and drink comfortably when the need arises. Seoul-based creative design studio found / Founded conceptualized a food and water bowl for dogs called Nest Bowl that integrates a removable stand to provide some leverage for your pup when they’re thirsty or hungry.

Designed with a hexagonal shape to keep the food in place better than a round bowl, dogs can really lick their bowl clean with Nest Bowl. Coming in two different sizes, Nest Bowl’s elevated stands are included to elevate the food bowl so that it meets your dog’s height, allowing your pup to eat without having to strain their neck. In addition to its customizable height, users can choose a dual-tone color scheme to match their dog’s personality and home decor.

Each Nest Bowl stand is also lined with a silicone band that wraps around the interior hexagonal shape to ensure that the food and water bowls do not slip. Finally, the bottom of each food stand comes with silicone foot grips to remain in one position on your kitchen floor even when your pup is chowing down and making a mess of lunch.

As dogs grow older, lowering their necks to meet their food and water bowls becomes a strain. It’s for this reason that a taller food bowl is often recommended for aging dogs. With Nest Bowl, your dog’s food bowl will adapt as their physical needs change. With a removable stand, Nest Bowl will rise to meet the changing physical needs of your pup.

This Slow-Feeder Dog Bowl Was Inspired by the Snow-Capped Swiss Alps

Imagine the majestic mountains of the Swiss Alps, a picturesque, awe-inspiring landscape. Imagine how you would capture and portray its natural beauty in, of all things, your dog’s food bowl. The K2 slow feeder, at first glance, looks quite similar to products in this vein. After all, many dogs are fast eaters, and pet-product developers have found a simple solution to this problem: creating ridges and slopes in their bowls that make it more difficult for a dog to scoop up mouthfuls of kibble. Functionally, the K2 slow feeder works the same way, but its standout quality is its aesthetic design, which distills the Swiss Alps’ natural beauty into a visually pleasing product.

How does the K2 slow feeder properly honor its design inspiration? In two ways. Firstly, the molds in the bowl mimic the peaks and valleys of the mountain range. Secondly, the different color schemes available for purchase – blue, green, red, and yellow – match the Alps’ landscape depending on the season. Functionally, the K2 is more than a pretty face; it works just as well as comparable products. It consists of two separate parts: the slow-feeder on top and a traditional bowl underneath. There’s also a no-skid rim on the bottom, preventing the dish from sliding as your dog attempts to dig into those hard-to-reach crevices. The product is also dishwasher safe.

There are plenty of slow-feeders available on the market, but few of them take on such a visually pleasing aesthetic. Even if your dog doesn’t appreciate the visual design choice of the K2 feeder, you – the person who has to look at it all day – will.
