Presumably designed to allow fish to exact their revenge on humans for countless fish fries and polluting their waterways, David Maher of Citizen Bones Fishing Co has created a line of Humanoid and Skeletal Fishing Lures. Each is handmade in the shape of a person, complete with another traditional lure inside in case the fish don’t feel like biting people today.
Each 3″ human or skeletal lure comes from a professionally engineered CNC mold and is sure to catch a fish’s attention. “What the heck are those dry-landers tossing in here now?” I imagine the fish thinking to themselves while watching an admittedly appetizing-looking skeleton dance in the water. “I have to bite it.”
As seen in the video below, the human lures actually have a surprisingly enticing movement in the water. Now I’m not saying that I’d bite one myself, but can you help me remove this hook from my lip? No clue how it got there.

The wor.my fishing rods come made from a combination of materials – stainless steel for the rod (lending the metal’s springiness to it), cork for a comfortable handle that’s also water-resistant, and carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer for the reel seat, giving it strength and stability without the weight. The rod also uses an SR60 reel that’s made of high-quality engineering plastic with metal components in stainless steel and aluminum.
When completely assembled, the rod measures 60cm/24-inches in length and depending on the style of rod you chose (Dive, Spin, Cast), your wor.my fishing rod can weigh between 2.54 – 5.75 ounces (72g – 163g). By having illuminated lights for fishing that can help attract fish, there is no unnecessary damage to the fish stocks and marine biodiversity. The 10 LED lights part of each Pisces kit can allow the crew to precisely fish and adapt to regulations. The Pisces can change color, flash rate, and intensity so you can achieve more positive and significant effects. The Selective Fishing Underwater Light lets you choose between six colors: cyan, blue, deep blue, red, white, and green. There are also four flashing rates and four brightness settings for customization. A single change for each light can give you up to 270 hours of usage and can fit most types of fishing gear. You can also choose between two different depth rating options whether 300m or 800m depending on the body of water near you.

It’s easy to ruin the fishing gear if you do not keep it clean and dried up. Also, incorrect cleaning can render fishing tackle unusable over time. To counter this, fishing enthusiasts understand that the tackle needs to be rinsed after every use in the saltwater. Salt is corrosive; therefore, if it is not cleaned off the gear properly, corrosion will ruin the equipment.
There have been some compelling solutions in works to relieve individuals from having to spend time repeatedly washing the tackle by hand. Yet, nothing has really caught up. So, when we came by the Salt Safe – Tackle Washing and Storage device – we were instantly intrigued by the idea. This is a simple solution that allows you to wash the fishing gear without fuss. It also ensures the equipment is completely dry and very safely stored until it has to be used the next time.
Generally, you wouldn’t relate a product that mentions cleaning in its chores to be inspired by a musical instrument, but then that’s the creative genius of a designer. For the Salt Safe, which as the name suggests keeps the fishing tackle rinsed of salt, designer William Fairnington has taken inspiration from a turntable. The trickle disk is the streamlined tackle washer, which looks to me like a DSLR lens from one side and has a nice, sectioned storage cabinetry within. The smooth whitish insulated outer shell of the disk is fashioned with a retracting handle that pulls out for ease of use and retracts back into the body.
While one section of the contraption is a disk-like washing machine for the fishing tackle, the sectionalized storage on the other side is covered by a rotating glass covering, which can open in parts to allow access to the gear you need, without jeopardizing the other equipment. What makes the Salt Safe an enticing product are the quick access storage compartments on the base plate (of the record player-style design) that can store and inject anti-rust soap and scent bombs into the washer. The entire mechanism of the interesting washer + storage device is controlled by a rotating knob allowing one to toggle between wash, dry, and scent settings.
