Joseph Joseph’s reusable water bottle focuses on making the lid as important as the bottle itself

Loop is a reusable water bottle with an innovative lid design and shapely build, allowing users to slide Loop’s lid over its spout for easy drinking even when your hands are full.

Reusable water bottles have become the modern handbag. Everywhere you go, you’ll find someone clutching one by its lid strap. When a product becomes so popular, innovative design becomes a rarity. Following research periods spent observing the ways people interact with their own reusable and single-use water bottles, London-based design studio Blond Ltd. collaborated with Joseph Joseph to create Loop, a reusable EDC water bottle designed to simplify carrying the lid while taking a drink.

In central London, the designers at Blond Ltd. and Joseph Joseph observed the different ways that people used and handled their water bottles to design an ergonomic and shapely reusable water bottle. When we’re carrying all of our stuff in addition to our water bottle, drinking from it can feel like juggling. Noticing that people have a harder time removing the water bottle’s lid and holding it while they drink, the designers made Loop so that users can slide the lid over the bottle’s neck when taking a drink.

The shape of Loop’s neck was specially designed to double as a storage method for the water bottle’s lid, providing a convenient and sanitary place to carry the cap. Expanding on the design of the Loop, the designers note, “The inside of the loop is gently curved and is an identical match to the bottle’s contours; allowing a tight friction-fit that prevents it from sliding while the user is drinking. Further, the lid doubles up as a convenient carry handle and attachment-point for hanging from bags.”

Double-walled with insulation and made from vacuum-sealed steel, Loop will keep your drinks at your preferred temperature in a durable, long-lasting bottle. An internal screw thread located on Loop’s spout ensures a clean and hygienic drinking surface near the outer face. Additionally, Loop was designed with a wide enough neck to allow room for ice cubes.

With its loop lid, users can carry Loop with even just one finger.

Loop’s shapely build is functional and visually appealing.

The open lid strap allows users to attach it to their backpacks with carabiners.

Loop can hold up to 500ml of hot or cold liquid.

This modular furniture system can be reconfigured endlessly to keep your kids entertained while you work from home!

Loop is a modular furniture system that aims to keep your kid entertained while you’re working from home, incorporating a mixed array of play modules and work modules that can be reconfigured endlessly to create the ideal WFH space.

Working from home has tested each of our house’s office efficiency and versatility. Few of us have come out on top–sinking into the couch is great for Netflix, but not Zoom, and mid-meeting snacks end up as a layer of cracker and chips on the carpet. Add kids to the mix and a home renovation project couldn’t come soon enough. But before you completely transform your living room, look to Loop, a modular furniture system with integrated kid-friendly features designed by industrial designer Buse Kaya for parents who need to keep an eye on their kids while working from home.

It always feels like the doctor’s office waiting room has everything to keep your kid entertained, from wooden toy blocks to sheets and sheets of stickers, whereas the magazine rack is there for you to peruse while you sip on your coffee and fill out the paperwork. Loop (stylized as Loop.) is a little bit like that.

From a chalkboard to a bead maze and tactile puzzles, each module that makes up Loop is designed for your child to play with while you work. Considering its modular formation, Loop can be configured in countless different ways. In one space, users can stack each module on top of one another to create a partition and standing desk space, allowing you to work freely while your kid remains entertained and within eyesight.

Alternatively, users can position Loop so that the storage modules bunch together while the play and work modules attach to one another to form a hybrid WFH space. Or, true to its name, Loop can form a circle similar to horseshoe desk formations in grade school so while you work at one module, your kid can play away right in front of you.

Since WFH has sprung into high gear, those of us with kids are reconsidering our home spaces to make sure we’re filling out the correct paperwork while watching our kids and keeping them entertained. Comprised of attachable modules, Loop is a furniture system that can adapt to any living space. Each module comes with its own function and personality, offering an array of different play spaces for your child or children to stay entertained.

Designer: Buse Kaya

Each module that comes with Loop can be broken down to create detached play areas for your kid to bring anywhere they like.

The modules can even function as seats that imitate a rocking horse.

Built with kid-friendly materials, Loop is as playful as it is safe.

Loop comes with an assembly booklet that guides users through the building process.

Loop’s final form was ultimately decided following multiple ideations and an involved research period.

Apple AirTag for your glasses means you never lose that expensive eyewear!

Into the habit of misplacing things every now and then accidentally (because you’re too absent-minded)? And an Apple fan to the core? Then the Cupertino giant just made your day with their latest barrage of announcements made at the Spring Loaded event – of which the AirTag was one of the highlights. The cheapest yet Apple gadget is a stylish way to locate the things that matter the most to you – it could be anything from your car keys, backpack, or luggage. Pitted right against Amazon Tile, AirTag is the one to grab for Apple ecosystem dwellers.

While AirTag can have a countless number of uses, third-party makers like Nomad are seeing it as the perfect platform to intelligently put the Apple accessory to good use. Just like Moment caught our attention with MagSafe compatible accessories for iPhone 12, the AirTag accessories come with the promise of maximum utility in a stylish manner. The one I’ve got my eyes set on is the Glasses Strap which keeps expensive glasses from getting lost unassumingly and then buying a new pair again. When not in use, the strap hangs the eyewear from your neck. In case you lose your glasses (if you have a knack for losing eyewear, this accessory is like gold), tracking them is as easy as one can ask for!

Then there is the classy Horween leather keychain and loop accessory for keeping all the frequently used keys in one place. You are bound to forget at times where you put the keychain/loop, and with the AirTag accessory, you have one less thing to worry about. Both these AirTag accessories by Nomad are up for pre-order right away. If you are already planning to buy AirTag, these adds-on might be just what you need.

This smart indoor gardening system uses an automated irrigation system to take care of your plants!

If we learned one thing during quarantine, it was to not underestimate the power of plants. Bedrooms and workspaces alike seem to open up once we incorporate some greenery into the mix. Due to tight corners and lack of natural sunlight, city apartments don’t tend to plants too well. To provide a modular, compact gardening system fit for city living, Elif Bulut created Loop, a smart plant pot that takes care of your greenery while you’re away.

Loop is a smart planting system that feeds and tends to your plants while you’re away through an automated irrigation system. The agriculture system is shaped like a plume, flowering from the top and the bottom, keeping the seed modules in a radial row to form a skirt. Each seed module is detachable and securely locks onto one another through junction sockets, forming a link. Along the underbridge of the system’s lid, LEDs disperse light over the plants, adjusting their levels according to the time of day.

Users simply add seeds to the modules, position the modules to match up with the irrigation system, lock the top water reservoir into place, then watch as the water drips and the plants grow. Loop’s top lid links the system’s base with its irrigation pool so that users can also adjust the amount of water that flows into each module, ranging from sparse or open flow to frequent irrigation. Once the irrigation measure is settled on, the system’s integrated smart technology tends to each plant and keeps track of their condition to achieve optimal indoor settings. Loop provides a way for those who live in the city to still have access to gardening and all of the perks that come with it.

Designer: Elif Bulut

Shaped like a double-sided trumpet, Loop takes the familiar shape of many modern-day home appliances.

Equipped with plant modules and an automated irrigation system, Loop is designed for easy operation.

Loop comes with an integrated LED light system that nourishes plants with energy.

The brightness of the LED lights change according to the time of day.

Loop’s irrigation system allows users to adjust the drip between sparse and frequent amounts.

The modules lock into place with the irrigation system’s faucets.

Each plant module forms the system’s skirt by linking up at junction points.

This bicycle’s loop frame was designed to be easily dismantled, making it a lighter, smoother ride!

Many people who live in cities rely on bikes as their main means of transportation. City bikes are designed to be intuitive for smooth, easy rides. When coasting between traffic and stoplights, a city bike ride should feel lightweight and nimble. Through a unique approach in designing his city bike, Gaëtan Francq created Loop, a compact city bike whose parts were developed around the bike’s looped frame to deliver a fully-contained, sleek ride.

As eye-catching as Loop’s frame might be, the city bike from Gaëtan Francq Studio comes through with a lot more perks. Starting out with Loop’s handlebar, which comes packed with Bluetooth connectivity, the city bike’s simplified GPS is contained here to ensure riders won’t lose their way in new cities or on unfamiliar roads. Just below Loop’s handlebar, a storage compartment fills out the bike’s looped saddle tube, allowing riders to bring items like bottles of water or even wine along with them for the ride. With Loop, there are no more excuses for showing up empty-handed to the party.

Designed for the concrete jungle, the designers behind Loop equipped the bike with a powerful brake system called Wilwood, which can easily be replaced and worked for maintenance since Loop was also designed to be readily dismantled whenever necessary. Along with some of the best brakes in the game, Loop’s 26-inch wheels prop riders up to a familiar height for a relaxed ride. Lightweight and easy to handle, each one of Loop’s components is constructed from aluminum alloys in order to optimize the light feel of the city bike.

Loop comes with all the goods you might need for an easy city ride– GPS, speed and temperature updates, a storage compartment, and an ultralight frame. The unique looped structure of the city bike’s frame was designed to turn heads as you pass them by on the street, but also to simplify the whole body of the bike, making for an elemental city bike that looks polished, versatile, and uncomplicated.

Designer: Gaëtan Francq Studio

Loop’s handlebar contains all the information you might need for a long ride through the streets of the city.

Through different ideations, Gaëtan Francq Studio ultimately created a bike centered around its loop frame.

Loop’s aluminum alloy frame went through thermal hardening to limit its elasticity.

26-inch wheels allow riders to enjoy a familiar seated height.

Loop’s digital handlebar display signals riders of the outside temperature and time, along with the bike’s speed mileage.

Slim handlebars enhance the city bike’s overall sleek look.

Easy to disassemble for maintenance, the city bike’s design was developed around its main aluminum loop frame.

Loop comes equipped with a Wilwood brakes system for quick brake-response time.

Minimal chains and an airy design give Loop a cool, clean finish.

The bike’s main storage compartment is located just below the seat.

Through a process of thermal hardening for aluminum frames and steam curving for wood frames, the Loop structure maintains a durable combination of rigidity and flexibility.

The Miravac is the Roomba’s more talented, powerful, and efficient cousin

The Roomba may have been the first robot-vacuum, but the Miravac’s goal is to be the better one. Fitted with a more powerful motor, and calibrated to take on the dirt left not just by the messy human but also the pet, Miravac is a better, more capable, fine-tuned, and affordable robot vacuum with a significantly better performance.

Miravac’s robot vacuums are powered by a powerful motor with 1800 Pa of suction pressure, capable of effectively cleaning your floor, picking up everything from popcorn to pet-fur. Its built-in hair and fur sensor can detect furballs and dust-bunnies, while the slim form-factor allows it to slide under couches and beds with ease. All your dust collects within a detachable tray that you can simply empty into the bin once the Miravac’s done its rounds.

The robo-vacuum can be programmed to sweep and mop your room in certain patterns. You can set up invisible walls and cordon off areas for the Miravac to avoid, while a cliff-sensor prevents the vacuum from falling off platforms, mezzanine-floors, balconies, or stairs. The vacuum runs autonomously, and can be programmed to schedule cleaning times either using controls on the vacuum’s docking station, or via the Miravac handheld remote control. The vacuum cleaner gets to work, brushing all sorts of dirt and dust off the floor and into its suction-vent, running for nearly 2 hours on a single charge before autonomously going and docking back into its charging dock when it’s either done or out of battery.

Miravac’s robot vacuums come in two separate variants, designed for regular floors and carpeted flooring. The Loop model vacuums as well as dry-mops the floor while the Swerve can vacuum-clean as well as brush carpeted floors, pulling out dirt from within the carpet’s dense fibers.

The Loop and Swerve are perhaps the most capable, powerful, and affordable robot-vacuums in their class. Designed to cater to their specific environments, the Miravac vacuums push performance up a couple of notches with their state-of-the-art turbo vacuum motors… and with their early-bird price-tag, they cost around the same as a pair of AirPods.
