Klipsch Jubilee Floorstanding Speaker System ready to rock the whole house

Jubilee Floorstanding Speaker System

The audio brand Klipsch continues to be a name popular for its premium products for audiophiles. No doubt it will remain in the market for more decades.

Klipsch has just introduced a new loudspeaker system that you would think is from decades ago. The design is retro, but the technology is very modern. The Jubilee speakers make up a whole system that stands about 5 feet and 8 inches but each speaker weighs more than 400 pounds.

Designer: Klipsch

We can expect these speakers to fill a room. That is obvious because of the size of the new flagship speaker system. There are two loudspeakers and a Klipschorn on their top. This was an original design by Klipsch founder Paul W. Klipsch before he passed away in 2022. He was working on this project, but it’s only now that we’re seeing this horn-loaded speaker.

The idea of the Jubilee was to surpass and succeed the Klipschorn. The latter was released in 1946, so the Jubilee is a follow-up that’s been a long-time coming. The Klipsch Jubilee Floorstanding Speaker is the new Heritage Series Flagship Speaker.

The speaker system comes with a patented fully horn-loaded vented system. In addition, it has an external wide dispersion phase plug for improved sound stage experience. It also features a state-of-the-art high-frequency compression driver that can result in maximum output and minimum distortion for clean and dynamic bass.

The Klipsch Jubilee Floorstanding Speaker allows concert-like experiences and smoother performances. The beautiful design includes real wood veneer in Black Ash or American Walnut. The system has been designed and assembled in the United States.

You can definitely feel the music with the Klipsch Jubilee Floorstanding Speaker system. It’s ultra-efficient to use and can deliver an active crossover that can maximize output and adjust the time delay and phase of the driver. The Klipsch Jubilee speaker offers a true-to-life sound all the time.

Klipsch Heritage speakers are of the highest quality, but a ten-year warranty is offered with the new speaker system. The Klipsch Jubilee actually takes over as the new Heritage series flagship speaker by the tech-driven brand. The Klipsch Jubilee has been designed to surpass the legendary Klipschorn. With a classic design and modern technologies and engineering advancements, Paul W. Klipsch’s dream decades ago is now a reality.

Jubilee Floorstanding Speaker System

The Klipsch Jubilee speaker system also comes with 12-inch woofers and three 4-inch ports that offer impressive dynamics and cleaner bass. It also has a 7-inch axiperiodic titanium diaphragm that delivers clarity and accuracy, courtesy of the wide bandwidth. Each component is optimized, while an equalizer and a built-in digital signal processor (DSP) offer true-to-life sound reproduction.

What makes Klipsch a great choice is its audio performance. But, of course, it doesn’t hurt the design is also outstanding. Acoustics pioneer and Klipsch Audio founder Paul W. Klipsch knew what he was doing. He wanted to bring together power, emotion, and details to every music experience, so he started a brand that combined real engineering, efficient speaker designs, and handcrafted cabinetry. Klipsch offers premium quality audio products from headphones to speakers. It also serves audiophiles and professionals doing home theaters, cinemas, and more.

We remember Klipsch for its passion for design and acoustic. A few years ago, there was the Klipsch European Design Competition that urged many creatives and industrial designers to share their product designs. The contest was mainly for The Klipsch Heritage line.

This phenomenal console table will turn your home into a concert hall!

The weekend is here and we can all do something to catch a breather (at home of course). You can either cook up a gourmet meal, read about positive developments for a change, or pick out what sound system should be the hero of your dance party (again, only at home with people already in your home). I am going with the dance-party-for-one option and my weapon of choice this weekend is the Slab Console! Imagine me as Player 1, and you can customize the avatar by choosing different pajamas and switching between sound systems like the Street Fighter but quarantine version.

The Slab Console is an upscale adult furniture piece with a vibrant, fun personality – so you can upgrade your home’s interior design level and also have a lit time with your playlists! This console is the ultimate audio system, it brings you movie theatre quality sounds with living room-worthy visuals. Inspired by the consoles that existed in the 60s and 70s, the Slab brings high fidelity audio to your space with immersive 5.1 surround movies and games. It is equipped with passive left, center, and right channel speakers along with a 12 inch recessed active subwoofer and a 500 Watt internal amplifier which basically translates into “I am a top-performing audio system worth every dollar of my $6,995 price tag.” Because it was designed to be future-proof, you can simply swap out the receiver as and when technology evolves as the aesthetics of the console were made to be evergreen.

You can expand the Slab Console by adding an A/V receiver or an amplifier/processor combination that works for your home. It looks like a credenza but with a 2020 tech upgrade that replaces the individual freestanding speaker set-up you might have. The whole sound experience is now wrapped into this modern, sleek, minimal console. The 390 lb system is created with a CNC precision-milled, multi-layer MDF and uses a furniture-grade plywood core for audio stability which is supported by an aluminum frame. It receives a state-of-art label because each console is hand-assembled with a final finish touch of real wood veneer and no two consoles will be the same, your piece is one-of-a-kind. The Slab Console is truly ultra-rich sound designed with a beautiful, timeless precision. Let’s turn our homes into a private concert hall!

B&O Play’s BeoPlay A9 wireless speaker gets your classy party jumping for a cool $2,699 (eyes-on)

B&O Play's A9 speaker gets your classy party jumping for a cool $2,699

B&O Play is at it again for the younger crowd with money to burn. With a TV, a hybrid iPad dock, an iPad friendly speaker system and a portable speaker already under its belt, Bang & Olufsen's spin-off brand is ready to really get the festivities going with its new BeoPlay A9. Starting at cool $2,799, this satellite dish circular eye-catcher also doubles as a full-on 2.1 speaker system. Simply put, we'd describe its looks as a super-sized half of the BeoPlay A8 speaker dock. We'd guess the A9 stands at roughly three feet tall (legs mounted) and three feet wide based on our quick in-person look. Behind its fabric grill you'll find a duo of three-quarter-inch tweeters and a pair of three-inch mid-range drivers, all of which get their power from independent 80-watt digital amps. Of course, the A9 brings the rumble as well, featuring an 8-inch "bass unit" that gets double the wattage of its drivers. Notably, AirPlay & DLNA are baked right in, ensuring you'll have access to WiFi streaming across whichever platforms you prefer.

You won't find any physical controls, but on the top-edge of its backside you'll notice a status light and a power button, both separated by a long touch-sensitive strip that lets you adjusts the volume, or mute it completely. Below that, a pop-off cap hides a USB port for docking and charging devices and a 3.5mm jack if wireless isn't an option, but it's also where an admittedly unsightly power cord plugs in as well. As you can see in the photo, the A9 can be supported by a trio of wooden legs, however, it can also be wall-mounted or hung from a ceiling like the BeoPlay V1 TV -- thankfully, it features three DSP presets to cope with however you'd decide to place it. As you might imagine, it's also incredibly loud -- just a duo of A9s were being used as the sound system at the large Penthouse party we were in. As such, it wasn't an ideal environment to comment much further on its audio performance.

If it's up your alley, expect the system to hit B&O and select Apple stores near the end of November, with your choice of a black, red, silver, green or white grill, and wooden legs in beech, oak or teak -- all of which can be purchased separately. For now, you can get your own eyes-on with it in the gallery below.

Jawbone unleashes Big Jambox, beefs up its Bluetooth ‘smartspeaker’ lineup

Image

We've had a shimmer in our eye for Jawbone's $200 Jambox, the itty bitty Bluetooth 'smartspeaker,' ever since it was released back in late 2010. So, imagine our delight now that the company has just stepped things up to a larger level with its new $300 Big Jambox. Measuring in at well over double the size of the original, the 2.7-pound speaker is still very similar in design and features the familiar perforated metal grill designs by Yves Behar -- starting May 15th, you can pick one up in your choice of Red Dot, Graphite Hex and White Wave. The larger footprint helps it to be more functionally capable than its sibling, yet it's still small enough to carry in one hand. On top, the unit sports playback controls in addition to the requisite volume and talk buttons, while on the side you'll find a USB connection (for software updates), power input 3.5mm jack, Bluetooth-pairing button and a power button.

To pump out the jams, the Big Jambox features an airtight enclosure loaded with a duo of active neodymium drivers and opposing dual-passive bass radiators to handle all the wub wub you can throw at it. A 2,600mAh rechargeable battery will get you roughly 15 hours of totally wireless listening time (500 on standby), but -- as is the case with the original -- you still can't share that juice with your gadgets. Positively, Android users can take advantage of the Big Jambox's exclusive Companion app, which allows the unit to do tricks such like sync up with your G-cal to inform you about your appointments. Lastly, like the Jambox, the Big Jambox features MyTalk voice prompts / app compatibility, along with Live Audio DSP to give your sounds an immersive "3D" feel. Curious to find out more? We spent a full weekend with the new gizmo, and you can catch our full review by clicking here. Full press release after the break.

Jawbone Big Jambox review

Jawbone Big Jambox review

It was back in February when we first caught wind a beefier version of Jawbone's Jambox, thanks to some less-than-stealthy ninjas at the FCC. Today it's officially here. Dubbed Big Jambox, this $300 Bluetooth speakerphone and "smartspeaker" is unsurprisingly a supersized -- yet still portable -- version of the new-age micro-boombox that the won us over back in 2010. Naturally, there have been some tweaks to go along with the bigger footprint, but all the core features including Jawbone's MyTalk apps and noise-cancelling know-how are in tow. Now that we've used it extensively for a few days, we're ready to answer some questions you might have. Does it follow the old adage that bigger is better? How will it fit into your lifestyle compared to the Jambox? And most importantly, is it worth the asking price?
