Following up on its stylish clamshell foldable last year, TECNO is unleashing a second-gen design with plenty of changes inside and out. As you might expect, the PHANTOM V Flip 2 carries plenty of AI chops, but that’s just scratching the surface. A newer and larger “Thru Pool” cover screen brings many of those features to your fingertips without even having to flip open the phone, while dual 50MP cameras turn the small phone into a mini camcorder. The most telling upgrade is the one that you’ll immediately see, the new 3.64-inch “Thru Pool” cover screen that ditches the limited circular display of the first-gen TECNO Flip. Inspired by infinity pools, this new display covers almost the entirety of the phone’s upper back, leaving room for plenty of things to do. In fact, TECNO calls out the tedious “card-based” interfaces of smaller cover screens, boasting an interactive experience that’s almost on par with the internal foldable display.

This larger external screen also highlights the upgraded camera system composed of a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide angle shooter. With the Thru Pool screen as a viewfinder, users can enjoy more detailed selfies and richer videos, though the 32MP front-facing camera is no slouch either. Thanks to its foldable design and its ability to hold any folded position between 30 and 150 degrees, the PHANTOM V Flip 2 enables more creative shooting, even from difficult angles.

TECNO’s AI suite also makes an appearance, from the Gemini-integrated Ella assistant to image-generating AI Artboard to photo-editing Magic Eraser AI. Whether you need a summary of a long article, want to turn silly doodles into mind-blowing art pieces, or simply need real-time information, TECNO AI offers the tools that users need to stay on top of work, life, and their socials.

Public seating with a functional twist!

If this sheltering from home has proved anything, it’s that most of us can work from anywhere we are. At home, at a café, from the airport lounge, all we really need is a place to sit down with our laptop and possibly a strong WiFi connection. The FLIP reimagines public seating to accommodate this need. Its design allows for being able to sit casually with a backrest, or flip over and use the backrest’s horizontal extension as a laptop table.

Made from powder-coated stainless steel with molded plastic panels to rest on, the Flip comes with an easy-on-the-eyes aesthetic that makes it perfect for public seating. It can be placed in classrooms, parks, cafés, restaurants, lounges, or anywhere else you could sit down and shoot out an email… or possibly even eat a sandwich. Not everything is about working and offices.

A scale that lets you measure to infinity

Borderline revolutionary, the Flip Scale is a finite tool for infinite measurements. Its incredibly clever design allows it to flip over and be used multiple times, allowing you to measure much more than a foot ruler or a measuring tape is capable of!

The Flip is a three-part scale with two rotating arms and a linear scale above it. The flipping arms allow you to hold and rotate the scale when you reach the end of the measurement, and the scale itself comes with continuous markings on its front and back, allowing you to flip it over (in a straight line) and over, measuring and adding as you go. It’s an ingenious solution that elevates a simple product we’ve used for centuries to a new high, giving it abilities far beyond what it was initially capable of. Although the Flip can only measure in straight lines, there’s no limit to how far it can go. Just use the rotating arms and keep flipping the scale and adding as you go!

Molded in polycarbonate, allowing it to be clear as well as scratch-proof, the Flip comes with rivets on either sides that allow the arms below it to swivel. It also comes with a textured pattern on its arms, where your fingers would touch it the most. The texture gives you a good grip while ensuring the transparent part of the scale doesn’t get dirty over time. The scale comes with edge-to-edge measurements on the top, so that your measuring units add up perfectly when you rotate the scale. What’s more, it comes with a stainless steel border on the top too, so you can use the Flip with cutters and blades too to get infinite cutting lines!
