The Eleven Desk can be a creative professional’s new work-from-home setup

Eleven Desk Details

Eleven isn’t just a number or that fictional character from a TV series. Eleven can soon be known as a special desk designed to make working from home more fun and productive.

Work desks are a dime a dozen, but there won’t be an end to searching for the best one. Remote work and schooling are still recommended simply because the pandemic isn’t over yet. Many companies and schools have seen the convenience online work and school offer. The challenge is really having the best work-from-home setup.

Concept Eleven Desk

Eleven Desk Creation

The Eleven Desk designed by Alberto Monteón can be a godsend. The industrial designer has considered his experience and needs as a creative professional. The desk is ideal for those who have a lot of stuff and needs some organizing to help them finish tasks on time.

The desk looks sturdy with the table top’s thickness and the legs. It has enough areas for everything you need for work. The table surface can accommodate your laptop, keyboard, monitor, and mouse. In addition, there is ample area for your books, documents, pens, and a mug. Underneath, there are hooks where you can hang your bag and headphones, plus another level for more stuff.

The table is made of maple wood and carbon steel plus sustainable finishes. The table is buildable, which means you can quickly assemble this thing. It’s also portable so it’s easy to move to a different location.

The silhouette of the work desk is simple. This is a potential winner because it’s compact yet has enough space for all the essential stuff. Out of the box, only a few parts are included, including the bolts and screws. There are planks included for additional support that you need to attach to a pair of legs.

Eleven Desk Design

Eleven Desk Prototype

On his Instagram, Alberto Monteón shared the Eleven as his workspace, where he spends most of his time. His desk has improved over a couple of years, and he’s now sharing how it looks. He’s a designer, so he recognizes the needs of most creative professionals. From an ordinary foldable plastic table, the designer switched to a wooden version that he created.

Eleven Desk Design Concept

The Eleven Desk is still a prototype, but we can see its potential. For example, the parts can be placed in a flat pack for easier transport. Hopefully, a manufacturer will see this design and be willing to help produce and sell the designer’s idea.

This minimal desk comes with modular parts, creating a versatile design that meets your creative needs!

The Note Desk is a simple, yet durable wooden office desk with a removable back panel to suit your professional and creative needs.

Desks assume the personality of their owners. Illustrators and designers tend towards drafting desks with slight inclines for a comfortable lean when drawing, while secretaries and assistants go for desks with plenty of catalog drawers and storage space for obvious reasons.

The list goes on–there are as many variations of desks as there are professions. The Note Desk, from OEO Studio, is one variation that transcends professional roles to be a desk designed for everyone.

Propped up on top of four sawhorse legs, the Note Desk keeps a minimal profile, trading a loud personality for a durable and quality build. Entirely constructed from wood, the Note Desk has a traditional shape, with a spacious flat top surface that merges with a back panel for added functional elements.

The back panel is outfitted with short shelves and a felt tack board ideal for calendar reminders and Post-It notes, making it a suitable choice for office workers and artists alike. Conceptualized in an array of different colors, the Note Desk’s wooden build is envisioned as stained ebony, deep chocolate brown, as well as a natural wooden look.

The whole desk comes together with a couple of screws, nuts, and bolts for a simple, yet long-lasting build. Similar to a desk you’d find in a library or working zone, the Note Desk also comes with USB plugins for charging your smartphone, tablet, or laptop while working. The removable back panel, shelving units, and tack board can be applied to each Note Desk easily with built-in attachments that can just as easily be removed. With a versatile, modular structure, the Note Desk can be transformed to fit anyone’s professional and creative needs.

Designer: OEO Studio, Jonathan Formento x HBF

Conceptualized in an array of different colors, the Note Desk also comes in a natural, unstained wooden build.

The removable shelf attaches to the back panel and adds some storage space to the desk.

The Note Desk was designed in collaboration with OEO Studio and Jonathan Formento for HBF.

This sleek home office desk organizes cluttered workspace, retaining a warm yet minimal aesthetic

Meet Blis, a minimalistic office desk centered on the friendly, warm, and homely element – keeping in mind that it’s going to adorn your living space.

These days work from home regime is a common affair and hitting the sweet spot for a productive work routine is hard to strive at times. There’re so many distractions around (audio and visual) it gets super hard to concentrate. How the home office desk is set up has a huge bearing on the focus – reason enough for so much fuzz around such desks. The Blis Home Office Desk designed by Rodrigo Torres for MUMA is a testament to the fact that work from home setup doesn’t necessarily be brimmed with geeky stuff.

The cool desk design keeps the wire clutter to a minimum for a clean look, hiding them from plain sight in the funneled legs. While it gives the impression of a very simple desk, there are inclusions that enhance the tidiness aspect further. There’s a sleek groove on the back section to store anything from files, papers, or pens to folders or charging cables. This section has an embedded board on top to pin all your important tasks, reminders or calendar events, or photos of loved ones to be always in a blissful frame of mind.

The desk has an elevated section on the other side for planters, pen stands or other props to keep things organized without much effort. On the bottom, there is a storage box that can move independently in the vertical direction too. The designer has incorporated the wooden inserts with the highest quality surface laminates by Wilsonart for years of durability. The Blis Home Office Desk comes in cool white silver, black and dusted grey finish that will go with any home interior without a semblance of doubt.

The furniture piece is the ideal setup for any work from home regime – especially for people who value a very sleek aesthetic for anything they sport in their home interiors. I would definitely like to have this desk as a part of my WFH schedule for peak focus sessions!

This portable office desk + PC reinvents coworking space for a true work from anywhere setup

Area Flip is a refreshing mobile office desk PC with a multi-screen setup that is designed to emphasize seamless workflow, interaction, and flexible private working zones.

In a typical office setup with desktops as workstations, your portability is limited by the partitions and the wires that clutter but keep you connected. This also leads to a standardized working environment which can get monotonous with time. This problem demands a solution like the Area Flip which maximizes the mobility of the work environment. The Area Flip does this by transforming into a portable desktop, a presentation screen (vertical), or a flat (horizontal) screen for a lying board/screen that allows the people to collaborate better.

This thoughtfully designed office computer gives us a glimpse into the future of ultra-flexible work environments where your work is not limited by the equipment at your disposal. Rather it is mobile and tailored for any creative process that takes place in the organization. For example working together on projects, instant presentations, or brainstorming on a priority problem. It merges the portability of the laptop with the real-estate of a PC – giving you the best of both.

Designer SangWoon Kim imagines Area Flip as a computer and a desk space into one ergonomic form – capable of being moved like a suitcase to wherever desired.

This versatile desk can be used in different configurations. First is, of course, the completely folded mode for easy mobility. The second is a general desk mode without exposure to any screen space whereas the third mode opens up the screen, allowing you to make use of dual screen orientation. The fourth option lets you open presentation mode by aligning the two screens for a bigger real estate, great for addressing a group of individuals. And the last two modes allow for an improved ergonomic angle and flat-lying board configuration that reminds me of the Microsoft Table!

Area Flip comes with the promise of expandability and versatility of use as the internal hardware like graphics card, CPU, RAM, and internal storage can be easily upgraded. Thus, the system can be used for years to come without going obsolete. SangWoon’s motive of innovating the office desk space is something I would love to use – and why not – it brings limitless possibilities when it comes to creating a coworking space when desired while respecting your privacy. It truly is a flexible futuristic office setup that improves upon the flaws of the open office layout.

These office desk accessories are all designed to be a mini factory of productivity!

In an imaginary world, I would love if there was a factory of productivity so that we never had those Monday blues or the pressure to finish everything by Friday. Well, that dream is not coming true but perhaps what can boost productivity just as equally is this cute, minimal, tiny Factory Object set which includes everything you need for the perfect office day!

It’s a series of products inspired by the commonality between factories that constantly produce things and employees who do productive work at the desk (as I write, I realize I am very much that employee right now – very meta!). It consists of a humidifier, diffuser, pen holder, charging tray, USB, and a USB splitter.

The humidifier mimics the smoke-emitting factory chimneys. It has a 4-6-8-hour reservation function and a knob to control it. “It also provides more smoke with two cylinders and filters,” elaborated Park. Another set of objects inspired by the smoke pipes in factories are the wireless charger and pens. Two pens rest in a magnet holder attached to a tray that can be used to organize desk supplies. The tray also supports wireless charging! Moving on we have the powerplant-inspired diffuser which is a perfect mini replica of the real structure down to its shape. You can simply turn it off and turn it on with the front button, and enjoy aromatherapy (very much needed anytime you open your inbox) with capsule-type electronic diffusers.

Now to my personal favorite object – the USB trucks and the warehouse USB splitter! “The USB hub is inspired by the commonality of transporting something. It lights up when a USB is detected and supports four ports as well as SD cards,” explains Park. The USB drives are shaped like mini trucks and come with 16GB and 32GB storage capacity. The Factory Object desk set is playful yet sleek and makes being productive a whole lot easier – almost as if it was manufacturing it!

This modular office desk transforms into a minimal hanging display when not in use

Content creation is a task that is more difficult than it looks. You may think creating content is simple, but expressing yourself successfully and meeting the demands of your fans is a challenging task requiring TONS of focus. And what is the first step to focusing correctly – your workspace. Everything right from the ambient light setting to the ergonomic desk setup plays a part in their work. Desk space is sacred, be it the animation master Miyazaki’s cluttered organization or the clean and organized setup of your favorite Instagram influencer. Among the limitless options for home office desk setups, design student Alphee Grand from Paris, France, has come up with a refreshing solution that makes complete sense in current pandemic stricken times.

Named the “Program” this modular desk is ideal for creative individuals who love the freedom of organizing their desk as per their needs. Depending on the task at hand or the kind of tools required, the desk comes equipped with various cubbyholes and hanging spaces for you to get creative, literally! The different storage modules can be suitable for storing files, documents, or even your favorite magazines or sketches. In addition, the desk has a large storage box and a two-part table to further extend the modularity aspect. I find the design an eclectic mix of structure yet chaos – it has enough options to create an organized workspace or to embrace the chaos – it gives you the freedom to make your desk setup work for you.

The most fun aspect of this modular furniture design is the air of openness to it. The side section of the desk has stepped storage modules which feel more like an extended “me space.” We can hang headphones on it or favorite novels displayed on the compact metal storage elements – always in the purview of the peripheral vision. We can tweak the central section of the Program desk for artistic chores like sketching, which is another significant advantage, especially for artists. Finally, when you want to close up for the day, we can collapse the Program’s desk section and make it a display for all your hanged memorabilia, courtesy of the wheels on the underside!

This minimal desk’s special design element is inspired by pianos!

I played piano for a decade and I was so used to reading with my book upright on the music shelf (the little fold-out flap where you keep your music sheet) that I started to keep my textbooks for school upright too – it just felt more convenient! The Piano desk gives that traditional design a nod by incorporating it into your familiar wooden desk with some additional inspiration from the Standard chair by Jean Prouvé that elevates the minimal piece.

The Piano desk created so the designer could experiment with a hybrid material selection and play with interesting visual contrasts. On the one hand, we have metal which is a cold material that is beautifully balanced by the warmer wood. On the other hand, the same metal which allows for a slimmer silhouette is given the sturdiness with the addition of wood. The key factor in the briefing was to design a product with a democratic approach. That is how the minimal desk without any complex production processes was born while still featuring a small design element that other minimal desks didn’t have – the dipped shelf!

It has rounded corners on both wooden and metallic parts which smoothly connects both shapes and materials visually. The choice of discarding drawers led to a different conceptual solution that came from looking at the way some piano players hold their music notes, hence the name. The metal stand is perfect to hold books and documents and it is a fair substitute for the drawer in some cases. You can also add some decor like a succulent or your favorite bobblehead! The Piano desk is perfect for your home office with its pleasing CMF, evergreen character, and improving its integration within the space in the most eloquent way.

Porsche’s sleek design language is the inspiration behind this futuristic work desk!

Desks help define our workspaces. Following the pandemic’s toll on working conditions, desks have become the way we express our modes of working at home. Looking to the automobile marque Porsche for inspiration, Encho Enchev has recently debuted his 3D rendering where he conceptualized a desk design fit for the set of Star Trek with interwoven elements from Porsche strewn throughout.

Characterized by sleek fly-lines and smooth curves, Porsche is known for embedding their automobiles with the same sense of luxury that laps their front doors and grille. Enhancing the desk’s luxe design, Enchev integrated a capacitive sensor touch screen into the desk to control the main Dell computer desktop, functioning as both a keyboard and control panel. The Dell computer spans almost a quarter of the desk, jutting from its mainframe to lengthen the desktop’s screen width. Then additional control systems punctuate this desk from the future, including a touch mouse pad and what appears as an upright landline telephone in stainless steel.

His modern desk design curves into an L-shape, taking the traditional shape of desks that accommodate larger computer systems, snugly fitting into office spaces and den corners. Just beneath the working desktop area, the desk’s leg space is carved out for open room to move the legs and comfortably remain seated. Along the shorter end of the desk, automatic, soft-close drawers create storage space for workers while they’re seated at the desk. Rendered in iconic Porsche color schemes, this desk just came from the future for those who want to bring the marque’s iconic status into their home office.

Designer: Encho Enchev

Forming the shape of a curved L, this modern desk takes the shape of a traditional working desk accommodating a large desktop computer.

Taking inspiration from Porsche’s design language, Enchev designed a desk fit for the luxe marque.

Sleek and understated by design, this modern desk takes on warped corners and shadowed angles to bring it to the future.

Enchev outfitted each desk with a touch screen control panel, extended desktop display, touch mouse pad, and futuristic landline.

Soft-close drawers create storage options for workers throughout the day. A footstool extension also creates a place for workers to rest their feet.

Characterized by their iconic color schemes, Porsche’s design language fills out this modern desk design from the build to its paint job.

Black stained wood covers the desk’s surface, echoing Porsche’s black and white color patterns.

Architecture meets stationery in this thatched roof pencil stand – the perfectly minimal desk accessory!

Got bored of the same old way of keeping writing instruments, business cards, or paper clips on your desk? Want a change from the age-old method of storing them in a stand or simply in the desk drawer? Then it’s time to make a refreshing shift to the very idea of having a small roofed house that displays your pencils and organizes your business cards, paper clips, or other small stationery desk items in the most soul-pleasing manner!

Industrial designer Jaekyoung Oh got the idea of pepping up the way we keep office supplies without losing the actual purpose and the essence. Keep enough pencils in the grooves of the (roof meant to hold the pencils/pens) and you’ll have a whole new roofed mini house on your desk. Take that obsession further and you can actually create a small town on your desk. Sounds liberating right? Other than that you can also keep the mini house minus the thatched roof to store paper clips, important business cards or other office essentials that are required on daily basis. So even a couple of these on your desk would be just right to get you into that productive working regime. After all, small things like these help you get in the zone, and perform at your best!

Alright if, I’m going way off the charts with the imagination, then to be a little subtle – the Small Town pencil and office supplies holder is a very unique way of keeping things on your work desk. It’s practical, looks good, and better than having the same boring accessories!
