Limited edition Bell & Ross BR 03 Cyber watch in matt black ceramic has an interesting lug-less design

Bell & Ross is a watchmaker that draws attention time and again by exploring beyond traditional watchmaking. Through the years it has been the skulls and open-worked dials that have paved the way and now adding another innovative watch to the sprawling cyber epoch, the French watchmaker, with roots in Switzerland, has launched the all-new BR 03 Cyber Ceramic.

For the BR 03 Cyber watch in matt black ceramic, Bell & Ross has challenged itself and transformed the OG BR 03 in a high-tech, lightweight material. No wonder then the intricate timepiece is made in a strictly limited edition of only 500 examples with the interesting in-house movement within a reworked skeletonized dial.

Designer: Bell & Ross

According to the watchmaker, the BR 03 Cyber Ceramic features a dial inspired by the stealth aircraft design, taking the invisible in the skeletonized dial to the next level. The black 43mm case reveals all but still hides the calibre BR-CAL.383 behind the skeletonized dial with faceted bridges in the same theme and balance at 6 o’clock.

Within the dial, under the sapphire crystal, you have the microblasted minute and hour hands filled with grey Super-LumiNova for better visibility in the dark. The black ceramic watch with a crown has a see-through sapphire caseback providing a gaping view of the black oscillating weight.

As informed, the BR 03 Cyber is powered by the BR-CAL.383 self-winding automatic movement which offers a power reserve of two full days. The design aesthetic of the watch is maintained by the interesting lug-less concept which aligns with the BR 03 Cyber’s stealth theme. The rubber strap is meant to disappear in the case ensuring that there are no spaces in the snug outlook.

The limited-edition Bell & Ross BR 03 Cyber watch made in striking matt black ceramic is priced at $ 13,400 each. It is water resistant to 50M and is now available for the taking. If you have a liking for sharp-edged cased watches that shout opulence all the way to the matte black PVD steel buckle, this is the one to go for.

Bell & Ross x Alain Silberstein Black Ceramic Trilogy is a jolt of visual energy for classic watch collectors

If you are a collector from the school of thought that believes classical dimensions and vivid dials make for a grail watch; the Bell & Ross x Alain Silberstein watches are meant for you to put your money where your mouth is.

Bell & Ross is not a name synonymous with playful watches. Its signature styling varies around solid materials, robust design, and intense complications. However, when the French watchmaker brings Alain Silberstein onboard; a trio of matte black ceramic watches are born that evoke playfulness like never achieved before.

Designer: Bell & Ross

A nod to Silberstein’s infectious energy, the watch trilogy is based on Bell & Ross BR 03, which is ironically inspired by aviation cockpit instruments. The trio of watches made in a pure black ceramic casing and black dial have plenty of bold elements accentuated with primary colors. The sense of whimsy in the watch dials is brought about by colorful large minutes hands, S-shaped ticker indicating the passing of seconds, and markers turned gleeful.

This lively Bell & Ross BR 03-based collection in partnership with Silberstein, as iterated, comprises three models, which are all limited edition and restricted to a couple of hundred examples each. This new black ceramic trio includes a time and date model, a dive watch, and a chronograph all available in 42x42mm square form factor. The ceramic watches come paired with matching black rubber straps and are now available through the official grail watch website.

Discussing the three watches individually, we start with the least complex model. The time and date only BR 03-92 Klub 22 has Bell & Ross signature minute track and is powered by BR.CAL-302 calibre automatic movement. Limited to 200 examples, the watch has a red circle to indicate hours, a bold blue arrow to track minutes, and an S-shaped seconds hand. A 3 o’clock date window completes the colorful display on the black dial.

Next in is the BR 03-92 Marine 22, limited to only 100 pieces. A surmisable model, the Marine 22 is offered with high visibility two-tone ceramic bezel and a dial comprising luminous hour and minute hands to make it a worthy dive watch. With blue circular hand for hours, red triangle for minutes and provide reading of elapsed time, the Marine 22 is 300-meter water resistant and is also powered by BR.CAL-302 calibre automatic movement.

Finally, the Bell& Ross x Alain Silberstein BR 03-94 Krono 22, which is a chronograph watch with time-only like red circle denoting hours and large blue arrow indicating the minutes. Here the yellow S-shaped seconds hand serves as the chronograph indicator. Limited to 100 examples, the Krono 22 is powered by BR.CAL- 301 calibre automatic movement.

Featuring a solid caseback engraved with Bell& Ross x Alain Silberstein, water resistance, and grail watch; all three special edition watches are serial numbered for exclusivity. The first 50 of each of the three will retail in an exclusive boxed set.

Uncrate x Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Wayne Enterprises satin-polished steel watch with copper-brown inner bezel is ready for the caped crusader

Watchmakers have an uncanny way of drawing inspiration from fictional characters to connect with pop culture enthusiasts. For its latest inspirational outing, Bell & Ross has entered into a collaboration with online publisher Uncrate to design a Batman-worthy watch for the fictional comic company, Wayne Enterprises.

The Uncrate BR 03-92 Wayne Enterprises is an adaptation of the existing and famous Bell & Ross with the same moniker. The latter is an aviation-inspired timepiece with etched military aesthetics, which the new design reworks for the better of pop culture. The BR 03-92 Wayne Enterprises transforms the iconic square case of the original Bell & Ross giving it a skeletonized outlook, allowing the appreciators to peek through the dial down to the mechanical movement.

Designer: Bell & Ross

The Uncrate x Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Wayne Enterprises watch arrives in a square-shaped 42mm satin-polished steel casing. The copper-brown inner bezel highlights the black see-through dial permitting sight of the movement’s inner workings. The watch numerals are painted black while the hands and indices are filled with Super-LumiNova for the convenience of reading time in the dark. The highlight here is the words “Bell & Ross” at 12 o’clock, which appear white or black. According to the French watch company based in Paris, this is because the mirror effect alters the text color (between black and white) depending on the light reflection.

The movement visible through the skeletonized dial is a Calibre BR-CAL.321 self-winding movement which offers 38 hours of power reserve. The solid caseback features engravings highlighting the Bell & Ross, Uncrate, and Wayne Enterprises collaboration. The watch is strictly limited to 100 examples – each specifically numbered and valued at $4,800. The lucky vigilante can switch between leather and nylon straps and dress up to save lives in town!

Bell & Ross’ new luxury timepiece is almost entirely made out of sapphire crystal

You may be familiar with sapphire as a material. It’s often used in watches as a replacement for glass owing to its hardness and resistibility to scratching. Most regular-to-high-end watches often put a sapphire glass panel on the front, or on the back too, depending on whether they’ve got an exhibition window to show the watch’s mechanism. Most watches, however, don’t make the entire damn timepiece out of sapphire… although it’s safe to say Bell & Ross aren’t definitely your average watchmaker.

The company’s known to push the boundary on watch-design, and they’ve experimented with watches made almost entirely from sapphire before, but it seems like they’ve pulled out all the stops for their latest time-telling piece of jewelry – the BR 01 Cyber Skull Sapphire.

Playing on the concept of a skeleton watch (where the watch’s inner mechanisms are exposed instead of being concealed behind opaque materials), the BR 01 Cyber Skull Sapphire comes with a proper skeleton motif on its watch face. Staying true, however, to the idea of a skeletal watch, the skeleton motif is made from sapphire (with a tinted orange back), as is the rest of the watch’s body. In fact, probably the only things that aren’t made from sapphire are the hands, mechanism, screws, and watch straps.

Every element that’s either decorative or is a part of the watch’s casing, is made from sapphire crystal, making the BR 01 Cyber Skull Sapphire look like a jewel on your wrist. Right behind the orange skull (while I’d prefer the color red, the orange offers much higher watch-hand visibility) sits the watch’s custom BR-CAL.209 movement, created specifically for this timepiece.

The orange color also coincides with the color-scheme of Only Watch, a biennial luxury watch auction held to raise money for charity. To that very end, the BR 01 Cyber Skull Sapphire exists as a singular prototype, designed specifically to be auctioned off in November this year. The proceeds from the auction will go towards benefiting medical research for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Bell & Ross’s aircraft radar-inspired timepiece will make you look like an international Bond villain!

Ever seen a watch that’s fascinating yet unsettling at the same time?

The Red Radar Ceramic from Bell & Ross looks absolutely stunning with its aircraft control radar-inspired dial. Designed in a sinister black-and-red color-way, the watch features a dial with multiple concentric circles and a sweeping seconds hand to make it look like the radar’s in the process of scanning. To tell the time, the dial comes with two airplanes that indicate the hours and minutes respectively as they rotate around in circles. It’s a treat to watch time go by, and I’m sure the next time you’re passing through an airport, the TSA’s going to really think you’re a cool cat!

As its name suggests, the Red Radar Ceramic comes with a 42mm wide ceramic body. The watch itself runs on Bell & Ross’ own BR-CAL.302 automatic movement, and is housed in a casing that’s water-resistant up to 100 meters. To top things off, the watch obviously comes with a sapphire crystal glass on top, but for added appeal, the glass is tinted red too, giving the watch its crimson radar-inspired design.

The watch is a part of a limited release, with just 999 units up for sale. If you fancy yourself a slick Bond villain-type and you’ve got $4,300 to spare, you could probably get your hands on a piece.

An entire watch made from sapphire?

The reason the Bell & Ross BR-X1 Skeleton Tourbillion Sapphire Watch looks so spectacular is because rather than opting for the regular stainless steel body with sapphire crystal glass on the front, the watch itself comes made entirely machined from sapphire crystal.

It therefore not only looks incredible with its skeletal, bare-basics look, tilt it just a bit and the sapphire crystal’s refractive index creates a beautiful diamond-like glimmer around the edges.

Painstakingly machined from a solid billet of sapphire (which is a task in itself since sapphire is so brittle), the BR-X1’s entire body is transparent, exposing the BR-CAL.288 hand-wound skeleton tourbillon movement on the inside. The mechanism drives the two hands located at the 12 o’clock position, balanced by the beautiful flying tourbillion complication at the 6 o’clock position. The entire body, given its crystal construction, is made to be anti-reflective, so not only can you read the time easily, you can admire your watch just as easily too! That’s if you’re one of the 8 people who got their hands on this extremely limited edition piece.
