Forget Hibachis, this Folding Barbecue Table seats 10 people for the perfect outdoor campfire meal

Small enough to fit into a duffle when packed, but large enough to seat up to 10 people when opened out, the Gather table from AroundFire might just be the big upgrade to the age-old campfire. It puts the fire front and center, with tabletop space for multiple people to sit around as they grill their food. The setup is lightweight, fireproof, height-adjustable, and accommodates everything from coals to pellets, firewood, or even a portable stove.

Designed to make outdoor barbecues a much more personalized and interactive experience, the Gather is a foldable table small enough to fit in the back of your car when flat-packed. Opening it up takes all of 30 seconds, but once you do, your barbecues will never be the same. Quite like its name suggests, the Gather gets everyone huddled around in a circle with the fire at the center. Each person has their own table-space and can grill their food right where they’re seated like a mini outdoor Benihana. The table features an adaptable center that accommodates a variety of fuel sources, letting you effectively (and safely) set up your outdoor barbecue with no hassle, and no smoke, thanks to the table’s relatively uninterrupted airflow system.

The Gather table sports an all-metal design, which allows it to be robust, lightweight, and completely fire-resistant. The outer table itself is made from double-layer powder-coated steel mesh that’s heat-resistant and fast-cooling, while also being fairly light. The inside, on the other hand, features a setup with modular accessories that you can add based on the kind of fire you want to light. At the heart of it is AroundFire’s mesh pit, which accepts wood, coal, or pellets. The ultra-light mesh comes with a rectangular profile that ensures your fuel is scattered evenly and doesn’t clump to the center due to sagging. Its tight weave also prevents loose sparks from falling down, while ensuring proper airflow so that your wood/coal burns cleanly, completely, and without smoke.

Once you’re ready to grill away, the Gather comes with two grill tops – a standard stainless steel grill that everyone knows and is familiar with, and the woven grill mesh seen on Korean or Japanese grills. The grills fit perfectly into the window left at the center of the table, and are accessible to anyone no matter where they’re seated. If the fire burns too hot, the grills can be elevated a few inches thanks to a kickstand that helps ensure your food gets cooked without charring, and if it’s exceptionally windy, a foldable windscreen lets you guard your fire against gusts of breeze. The foldable windscreen’s individual panels can be used to ‘plug’ the table’s fire-hole, making it a conventional flat table on which you can put food or even place a portable stove.

The Gather table comes in two sizes, accommodating up to 6 or 10 people respectively. Both the Gather Lite and the Gather Grand, as they’re called, are designed explicitly for travel and for providing a zero-compromise grilling experience. They weigh 16 lbs (7.4 kgs) and 20 lbs (9.1 kgs) respectively, and stand at 15 inches (38cm) tall, extendable up to 21.6 inches (55cm) with the leg-risers. Each Gather table is accompanied by the fire mesh that holds the wood/coal, along with a grill plate that goes on top, and a travel bag that helps you carry your table along with you anywhere you go. You can add extra modules to your table by purchasing them separately, like the KBBQ grill mesh, the windscreen that doubles as a tabletop, a camping stove, or even a pair of barbecue tongs.

The Gather Lite starts at a 50% discount of $149, while the Grand has an early bird price of $179. Each table ships globally, and comes with a 2-year rust-free warranty.

This retro-inspired grill gives charcoal infused flavours with the ease of using an oven!

It’s not every day that we stumble upon grills that are purposefully built to bring the joy of charcoal grilling to everyone. Of course, the Gravity Series 800 charcoal grill with griddle and smoker we saw recently, does offer its service, but for grillers, it’s more about convenience and flavor – which the Spark Grill intends to provide in a sleeker and portable design.

We all know charcoal grilling tastes better, but they have been sidelined by gas grills because the latter are convenient to use in comparison to the messier charcoal ones. Most grill-outs today, therefore, happen over a propane grill, nothing bad with that to say, but when it comes to flavor – they lack what charcoal grills can deliver. Albeit, the latter are messy, difficult to manage, and most importantly, cumbersome to control – this amounts to overcooking or burnt meat, if you don’t do it right!

Spark Grill walks in as a capable alternative to traditional charcoal grills and a rightful competitor to gas guzzlers you’ve been using. It is the first charcoal grill that is easy to use as its gas counterpart and effortlessly simple to control like a smart oven. The result is precise charcoal grilling, so you get all the flavor without futzing with the fire and uncontrolled temperatures. Spark Grill’s onboard LED dial can be used to control and set the cooking temperature anywhere between 200°F to over 900°F. This range and control opens up new cooking avenues for a serious griller, who can now blend the natural wood and charcoal flavor to every dish being served along with craft beer. The entire experience is made worthwhile with the use of charcoal Briqs – made from classic woods like hickory and Applewood – that are used in the Spark and ignite instantly with the turn of a switch.

These removable Briqs – that offer the same smoky flavors of charcoal – get hot enough for grilling in just a few minutes, and when cooking is complete, can be unmounted to make clean-up seamless and mess-free. Excitingly, the Spark Grill is now available for pre-order with an accompanying mobile app that notifies the griller when the grill is up to the required temperature or when the food is perfectly grilled. The app can also be used to re-order Briqs when supply’s running out. Spark Grill’s blend of controlled cooking with natural wood and charcoal will provide you the perfect smoky flavor you’d want to impress your kin at the next backyard BBQ party!

This modern colorful charcoal BBQ grill works for your terrace parties & even outdoor adventures

Compact and colorful BBQ grills fashioned for terraces and smaller backyards are hard to come by. So, when we stumble upon something in this periphery, we can’t help but stop by and appreciate the idea. Designed first to stick out in the Moroccan markets before flying abroad, the Skara’B Barbecue by Fours Afifi – a local studio focused on designing grills that are discrete yet attractive – is just one to pin your hopes on.

Envisioned as a simple BBQ that would stand upright in competition for its aesthetic design, Skara’B Barbecue proudly showcases Moroccan craftsmanship in its appeal, made possible in collaboration with avant-garde Moroccan designer Mahdi Naim. The moniker Skara’B is derived from the Scarab – a form of beetle that holds symbolic relevance in ancient Egyptian religion – and according to Fours Afifi, is known for its heat resistant properties. The hexagonally-shaped BBQ grill stands just about a meter tall and has 60cms x 60cms of cooking area. The charcoal-fired Skara’B Barbecue has a stainless steel base, which houses a cylindrical steel ash-catcher facilitating clean and hassle-free BBQ sessions on the terrace or backyard.

For convenience and portability, the design team intends to include the barbecue with an attachable table and include a carrying case so you can take it wherever your outdoorsy lifestyle leads you. The grill already features anti-corrosive wheels for maneuvering it around and comes with an adjustable, stainless steel valve for controlling the heat levels. Sorry, there is no option to control temperature and other tad-bits using the phone – this grill basically takes you back in time where grilling sessions were less about the recipe and more about the time you spent with peeps around it with a glass of wine in the hand.

The idea of Skara’B is incomplete without discussing the fun part – the colors – the BBQ grill is available in red, blue, yellow, and fuchsia colorways. The compact grill is now available in Morocco and is expected to ship internationally in the spring of 2021. Hold on to your monochrome grill for a little longer before the Skara’B is ready to fly over to your backyard and spread some cheerful colors.

This ultimate charcoal grill + griddle lets you barbecue to your exact settings in your backyard

Gas grills are convenient to light, cook on, and clean but grillers have unapologetic interest in charcoal grills since they lend a very delicious smoky flavor to your BBQ. With the introduction of Gravity Series 800 from Masterbuilt, the charcoal grill is getting an additional referendum. This new Griddle + Grill + Smoker introduces a griddle – flat top – to a charcoal grill; simply slide in the griddle to replace the cast-iron grill grates and cook your favorite breakfast recipe.

Generally, freestanding griddles are gas-powered but this uncanny charcoal option in Gravity Series 800 is a redefining moment for charcoal grilling and smoking sessions in the outdoors. You can easily swap out cast-iron grill grates for griddle and instead of just limited cooking choice, you’re open to an entire day of culinary experience – essentially lucrative considering the current situations when going out for grilling sessions is not happening anytime soon. Bring out the Gravity Series 800, which occupies 800 square inches of cooking space, in your backyard, light up the charcoal and get on with grilling and griddling the way you want.

Gravity Series 800 Griddle follows Masterbuilt’s Gravity Series 560 and Gravity Series 1050. Its design and construction are pretty similar to its predecessors though it has been meticulously engineered to make outdoor cooking simpler by giving the controls in your hands. Yes, the searing temperatures and slow-low cooking on the new grill + griddle can be controlled from the convenience of your smartphone, which syncs via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. In addition to controlling the cooking temperature, you can also monitor cook time from the app, while the integrated fan maintains the heat based on your desired setting.

According to Masterbuilt, the Gravity Series 800 Charcoal Griddle + Grill + Smoker can hit temperatures as high as 700 degrees in just 14 minutes, which is monitored by a built-in temperature gauge while the meat probe thermometer ensures you get a perfectly cooked recipe every time. GravityFed hopper on the right of the grill can hold 10 lbs of charcoal or up to 16 lbs of briquettes, which can both last for almost 10 hours. If you always wanted an option where you could smoke, grill, and griddle and not have to stretch back to the kitchen for certain recipes, the Gravity Series 800 Griddle is the choice cut out for you.

This modern indoor BBQ grill is inspired by the mechanism of an air purifier!

Missing the BBQ parties during game nights and holidays in quarantine? This conceptual BBQ grill, Campin, makes it possible to still enjoy it indoors (perhaps with fewer people, and if it is just yourself then you won’t even have to share food!) while following the COVID-19 restrictions about outdoor activities and gatherings. BBQ parties are almost a cultural tradition to celebrate events big and small, and while traditionally one has to have a backyard for it, you can now enjoy it thanks to Campin within the comfort of your home without the need for the extra outdoor space – a huge blessing for the urban demographic who is cooped up inside in the pandemic.

It has two core parts – the BBQ bowl at the top and the bottom base. The BBQ bowl has a metal container that houses the whole setup including the intake vent, a charcoal bowl, a grill, and a lid. These pieces are modular and can be separated for easy cleaning and management. There is an LED located under the BBQ bowl that illuminates the lower side and making it look like there is a real fire for the ‘right vibes’.  Campin lets you grill with a charcoal fire by using the specific charcoal bowl for that authentic taste. The smoke is sucked in through the intake vent outside the grill and it is purified and discharged through the filter structure inside the body – the mechanism is similar to an air purifier. The lower part in front of the base includes an outlet to discharge the purified air.

Another thoughtful detail that saves space and reduces mess is the little storage compartment in the bottom – all sauces, seasonings, and dips can be put in here so there is no need for extra counter space or a runner who has to keep going back and forth to the kitchen. Campin can be charged when not in use via the charging port on the rear end of the base making it functional and portable. With this product, you won’t need an invite to a backyard BBQ anymore or have to wait for restrictions to ease up, just fire up that grill and celebrate that you made it through yet another day of 2020.

A portable charcoal grill that neither looks nor weighs like one!

A good barbeque session is always fun, especially with new and improved grills coming up all the time! However, product designer Andrew Ferrier has just made your barbeque session even more simple and effortless with his ‘Charcoal Grill’. Ferrier’s Charcoal Grill attempts to improve the overall quality of the food being prepared and the entire grilling experience for people. It is the first fan assisted charcoal grill, ensuring that the charcoal lighting process is completely safe. However, what really attracts us to the grill is it’s simple and ‘un-grill like’ appearance. Borderline minimalistic, it is a far cry from the usual, heavyset grills. Easily portable, it is a lifestyle product with an appealing aesthetic and interesting functionality!

Designer: Andrew Ferrier

The grill consists of two hollow base containers. Spherical in shape, the smaller container has been fitted with a fan and the actual grilling plate is placed on it. It can be positioned perfectly into the larger container.

The grilling plate can be removed from the second container, with charcoal being added to it according to the amount of food and cooking preferences.

Once the charcoal has been placed into the smaller container, it is placed back into the larger one.

Ferrier’s Charcoal Grill is electric, once it has been plugged in, the temperature of the grill can be controlled using a handy knob.

The cover of the grill attached with a wooden handle comprises of a little outlet that allows the smoke to filter out.

Innovative and sleek, Ferrier’s Charcoal Grill simplifies the entire grilling process. The fan allows the food to be cooked swiftly, with the smoke easily filtering out of the outlet. The pain of charcoal lighting is eradicated too, due to the use of electricity, with delicious food as the end result, not to mention it performs all the functions of a grill without looking nor weighing like one!
