Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Leaks: Rounded Corners, Slimmer Design, and Internal Upgrades Revealed

According to the latest leaks, Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra is shaping up to introduce key design changes. The shift from sharp, angular edges to more rounded corners is the most notable update aimed at improving comfort and usability. In addition to these changes, the device is expected to be taller, narrower, and thinner than its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 Ultra. These refinements reflect Samsung’s focus on delivering a more ergonomic and user-friendly flagship device while also maintaining the powerful performance the Ultra series is known for.

Designer: Samsung

Design Changes

The most significant design shift is the move to rounded corners, which replaces earlier models’ sharp, boxy edges. This change is expected to make the phone easier to handle and more comfortable for prolonged use. Samsung seems to be addressing feedback from users who found the sharp edges of the Galaxy S23 and S24 Ultra too rigid. The S25 Ultra also features slimmer bezels, which offer a more immersive display without increasing the phone’s overall size. Combined with the sleeker profile, this design update focuses on comfort and practicality without compromising the premium aesthetic.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is also rumored to be slightly taller, narrower, and thinner than the S24 Ultra, enhancing its handling and comfort in daily use. These updates mark a shift in Samsung’s design philosophy, prioritizing usability while maintaining the premium quality and performance that users expect from the Ultra series.

Other Rumored Specs

Beyond the design changes, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to feature some serious hardware upgrades. It will likely be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, which will deliver improved performance and energy efficiency thanks to its 3nm architecture. The device is also rumored to feature the new Adreno 830 GPU, making it a powerhouse for gaming and graphic-heavy applications. Users can expect smoother performance, particularly in multitasking and gaming scenarios.

Sources: Online Solitaire x Xleaks7

Additionally, the S25 Ultra will reportedly come in both 12GB and 16GB RAM configurations, ensuring plenty of power for multitasking and AI-driven applications. Samsung’s development of thinner memory chips allows these RAM options without increasing the device’s bulk, maintaining the slim profile that defines the Ultra line. The device will be a performance powerhouse while still focusing on sleek design.

Why’s the S24 Ultra Noteworthy?

The Galaxy S24 Ultra is notable for being one of the most feature-packed devices Samsung has ever released. Thanks to the S-Pen, its incredible display, and its versatile camera system, it’s a powerhouse in productivity, creativity, and media consumption. Integrating AI tools makes it even more dynamic, giving users smarter ways to interact with content, from photo editing to overall system efficiency. For users who need a device that can do it all, the S24 Ultra has been a top contender.

Yanko Design’s Take on the Galaxy S24 Ultra: 5 Things We Love

1. S-Pen Integration

The Galaxy S24 Ultra continues Samsung’s tradition of integrating the S-Pen into its Ultra series, making it an excellent productivity tool. Whether you’re sketching, taking notes, or remotely controlling the camera, the S-Pen enhances the overall experience, offering functionality beyond that of a typical smartphone.

2. Versatile Camera Setup

With a 200MP primary sensor, the S24 Ultra offers one of the most powerful and flexible cameras on the market. Its ability to shoot in various lighting conditions and impressive zoom capabilities provide professional-grade results in a compact form.

3. Display Quality

The 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display remains one of the best in class, offering deep blacks, vibrant colors, and smooth 120Hz refresh rates. This makes media consumption and gaming highly immersive experiences.

4. Battery Life

The S24 Ultra’s 5000mAh battery ensures users can get through a day of heavy usage, whether streaming, using the S-Pen, or multitasking between apps, without worrying about recharging mid-day.

5. AI-Powered Features

Samsung’s recent software updates have enhanced the AI capabilities of the S24 Ultra. Features like scene optimization and enhanced object removal tools in the camera app make it a great choice for users who love to edit photos and videos on the go.

3 Things We Dislike

1. Weight and Bulk

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra weighs 233 grams, making it slightly heavier than many other flagship smartphones on the market. This weight, combined with its large 6.8-inch display and durable titanium frame, contributes to its premium feel but can also make it feel bulky for users who prefer a more streamlined and lightweight design. The size and weight can be particularly noticeable when using the phone one-handed for extended periods.

This bulkiness is one of the aspects that some users might find uncomfortable, especially when compared to lighter devices, although the premium materials like titanium and Gorilla Glass are designed to offer enhanced durability.2. Slow Charging Speeds

While the S24 Ultra provides reliable battery performance, its wired and wireless charging speeds lag behind some competitors. Faster charging would make the phone more convenient for users who are constantly on the go.

3. Sharp Edges

The S24 Ultra’s sharp, boxy design can feel uncomfortable in the hand, particularly during prolonged use. This is an area where we hope to see Samsung address user feedback with the rumored rounded corners of the S25 Ultra.

Is It Worth the Upgrade?

With the rumored design changes, like rounded corners for better comfort and slimmer bezels, the Galaxy S25 Ultra promises a more ergonomic experience. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset and featuring up to 16GB of RAM, it offers significant performance improvements. But is that enough to warrant an upgrade? Whether you’re an iPhone user, a previous-gen Samsung owner, or loyal to Android, these refinements in design and power could make the S25 Ultra the flagship device you’ve been waiting for. Will these upgrades convince you to take the plunge?

Ultra-modular Pathfinder gaming mouse has 2,500+ configurations to satisfy every gamer out there

Finding a gaming mouse that can satisfy your every need is pretty hard. It all boils down to modularity and the level of customization the device offers. The best option that pros vouch for is the Mad Catz’s R.A.T. gaming mouse which comes with tons of options when it comes to customizability.

Orbital Works might have just come close to or even bettered this cult-favorite gaming peripheral. The budding startup founded by a group of engineers has developed the Pathfinder mouse that had arrived with the motive to satisfy every gamer out there. This high-performance gaming mouse comes with loads of options, so that every user is comfortable using it for extended periods.

Designer: Orbital Works

Pathfinder mouse is developed based on hundreds of hand scans and match analysis to make it feel like a second skin, sans any discomfort even after hours of use. According to the makers, this unleashes the true gaming potential and is a breath of fresh air in the peripheral space. The team invested two years in researching the best shape for a FPS mouse and three major grip points were identified when it comes to finger placement. These being the front, center and back along the length of the mouse. That’s why some gamers prefer the sculpted surface for precise control while others go for one having a flat surface for freedom of hand, wrist and finger movement.

The next step in development was to identify the areas where modularity would yield the best results. For this, the team worked with top FPS gamers and aimers. All this while maintaining lightweight aesthetics and design quality. The result is a mouse with over 2,500 possibilities of configuration. The main configurable elements of the device include a spacer to toggle the width and length, a hump adjustment element for comfortable palm contact and finger placement elements on both the left and right side.

For example, the hump-shaped attachments can have a low, medium, or high hump level. These can further be customized with the use of spacers. Makers claim that the modular mouse is rated for 20,000 cycles of changing shapes which is almost three years, 20 times a day. Practically that would make the mouse last for more than five years even with moderate and low cycle of changes every day. Of course, gamers are intrigued by the hardware prowess of any peripheral, hence, Pathfinder comes with Omron optical switches, a 4000Hz wireless receiver, and PixArt’s PAW3395 sensor.

Orbit Works Pathfinder modular mouse is currently in the prototype stage with parts developed using the 3D-printing technique. We can expect the final product to also come with high-grade 3D-printed parts that last for long. According to the pre-order portal, it will weigh just 53-59 grams +2 grams depending on the configuration chosen. Priced at $189, the modular mouse is the next big evolution in your gaming arsenal and we can’t wait to get hands on one. The Pathfinder mouse is slated to ship in late March 2025, and if you already like the idea, now is the time to get one as the pre-order window closes on 15 October.

This beautiful medieval chess set has a cute story to go with – deserves LEGO Ideas official set status

Why buy a chess set that looks like any other on the market shelves when you can carve them yourselves? That kind of inspiration you are bound to derive when your little daughter picks up the game so well at a very early age. LEGO Ideas user [JonnyBrickz1820] has one of the cutest stories behind this inspiring medieval chess set design proposed to become a LEGO set.

The idea is to LEGO’fy a chess set with a medieval theme while maintaining its aesthetics to accommodate the pieces when not in use. As a novice chess player I have to say the design looks amazing, and one that’ll lure me into playing a game with my best buddies. The project has already been backed by 1,400 users and I hope this one becomes an official LEGO set one day.

Designer: [JonnyBrickz1820]

It all started when Jonny noticed his 5-year-old daughter playing chess on his phone and castling against him. A few months later, she came up and asked him, if she could get her own chess set. Then came the inspiration to design one, instead of buying one since she had a keen interest in the game. After a lot of thinking and trials, he started off the crafting process for each of the pieces. Some pieces like the rook and pawns took less time while the knight was a bit of a grind for him. The major challenge was to craft them in a medieval theme while ensuring they fitted snug inside the box at the bottom when now in use.

Once the basic design was sorted, it was time to embellish the chess set in gold accents to make it pop. To maintain continuity of the design, he located weapons or items in similar pearl gold finish, or ones that could be assembled using smaller pearl gold pieces. Thereafter, it was time to design the board which derives inspiration from other LEGO creations. After much brainstorming, he decided to use a single drawer design with two separate sections for stashing the color pieces.

The interesting thing is this build is crafted without using any computer-aided design and purely on trial and error. In the end, it turned out better than any other chess set on the market!

Artistic router concept opens like a folding fan based on the Wi-Fi strength

Being stuck at home for months on end has been an eye-opening experience for many people. For some, it revealed how little space we have at home, while others realized how they are ill-equipped to work at home. At the same time, many people have also become more aware of how the tools they use, especially consumer electronics, have aesthetic value that could either uplift their mood or burden their subconscious minds because of their designs. Wi-Fi routers, in particular, come in uninspiring or sometimes menacing designs that we often hide in corners or behind other objects that can actually negatively affect their performance. This router concept design tries to address that and other pain points with a design that turns a boring box into something like an art object that unfurls its beauty like a peacock when the Wi-Fi signal is strong.

Designer: Sunjin Na

Common home routers are simple boxes with one or two antenna rods sticking out from them. More powerful and sophisticated equipment, however, would have multiple antennas that transform the router into something like a robotic sci-fi creature. Unless you actually go for that kind of aesthetic, chances are you’ll be hiding the router from view. But if you’re not careful, that could actually affect the signal that it transmits. Additionally, you wouldn’t have any way of knowing whether the router itself is receiving a good Internet signal without looking at your phone’s Wi-Fi bar or some other app.

Blooming Out is a design concept that fixes those problems by making sure you wouldn’t want to hide the router in the first place. It gives the router a makeover that isn’t just aesthetically pleasing but also functional. It uses the concept of a folding fan that “blooms out” when the Wi-Fi signal is strong but retracts and folds in when it is weak. It’s not a binary state, though as the 29 fans can indicate the signal strength in between.

1

The router also has visible antennas, but not in the design you’d normally expect. The three antennas stand together a bit off-center and can be rotated to maximize the spread of the signal. Because of this design, Blooming Out looks more like a peacock fanning out its tail in pride when it’s working in full force.

With this design, the Blooming out router concept becomes more than just a tool. It becomes an aesthetic object that adds visual value to any space, disguising its actual function without compromising its functionality. Of course, there could still be some technical drawbacks with this unconventional design, but it could be something that’s easily resolved with today’s technologies.

Revolutionary sneakers expand to fit your growing feet

Of all the pieces of clothing that we regularly buy, shoes are probably the most tedious. We need to get the fit just right, because, unlike regular clothes, we don’t simply grow into them nor do they shrink after several washes. In fact, shoes are often discarded once our feet have outgrown them, making footwear rather wasteful and unsustainable. What if, however, your shoes could grow with you, at least for a while longer? That’s the kind of kind of unbelievable value that these sneakers bring to the table, or on the ground rather, promising footwear that stretches and expands to accommodate the varied, uneven, and complicated needs of your feet.

Designer: Dr. D’Wayne Edwards for Target

Given their still-developing bodies, it’s not really surprising that kids would outgrow their shoes faster than their parents can keep up with. Adults, however, aren’t immune to this problem, as their feet can expand and contract a little during the day. That perfect fit you might have at one time might not be so perfect anymore sooner rather than later, and the financial and material waste that comes from buying new pairs often definitely adds up.

UNOS by Sz is a revolutionary sneaker design that solves this problem, at least for a while longer than you would normally chuck out the old Chucks and buy new ones. The shoe can expand by a half size for kids and a full size for adults, and it doesn’t even look like some complicated contraption to make that possible. It does look like it has a cracked or split sole, which is actually the secret to its magic. Turn the shoe over and you’ll see the patented Z-shape running across the sole, allowing the shoe to stretch a bit farther than its initial size.

This unique design solves many footwear problems, not just ones involving growing feet. People whose feet have slightly different sizes don’t need to buy two different pairs of the same design just to have a matching pair, and people who need bigger shoe sizes than what’s available don’t have to give up either. It’s a very economical solution to a problem that’s often taken for granted, ensuring that “U Need One Size” only, which is what the shoe’s name stands for.

Of course, the sneakers are also made to be comfortable to wear, regardless of your current foot size. The upper has an unconventional sock-like shape that can stretch to adapt to the wearer’s foot shape. It also makes the shoe breathable and easy to slip your foot into, also fixing one of the biggest pain points about having to wear shoes quickly.

LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog sets traverse the console gaming fun into weekend building activity

Sonic games have seen the faithful appearance of the Dr. Eggman Drillster for three decades now. Making its first appearance in the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 this intimidating vehicle has appeared in many titles that fans have loved all these years. However, the vehicle had never happened to make it through in the LEGO world, that is until now.

Finally, the LEGO Sonic set dubbed – Super Sonic vs. Egg Drillster is now official on the portal. The 590-piece build is pretty easy to assemble compared to the other intricate LEGO builds we’ve seen. That doesn’t make it any less interesting though. The set comes with Super Sonic, Shadow the Hedgehog, Dr Robotnik and the Egg Drillster vehicle The Egg Drillster comes from the Mega Drive games. Additionally, this LEGO buildable comes with a Gun Wing from Sinc Adventure 2 and Egg Pawn Bandnik.

Designer: LEGO Group

Along with this the Sonic’s Campfire Clash (77001) and Super Shadow vs. Biolizard (77003) sets have been announced as a part of the annual Sonic Central Livestream. The LEGO Super Shadow vs. Biolizard set is based on the main boss fight of the game and this one is slightly smaller consisting of 419 pieces. The scene is set to defend the Space Colony ARK from the daunting Biolizard. Fans can use the Super Sonic, Super Shadow, and Speed Sphere launcher to expose the villain’s weak spot and retrieve the Chaos Emerald. The set comes with the Super Sonic and Super Shadow minifigures to make things lively.

The 177-piece Campfire Clash LEGO set has the Sonic minifigure around the campfire. To make things more fun, kids can engage in rescuing Tocky by launching the minifigure through the speed sphere at the enemy robots G.U.N. Beetle and G.U.N. Hunter. According to Frédéric Roland Andre, Designer at the LEGO Group, “We’re delighted to introduce Sonic and LEGO fans to our latest ranges, bringing to life beloved heroes like Super Sonic and Shadow, as well as iconic villains like Biolizard, allowing them to bring to life their favorite characters and moments from the screen into the physical world of play.”

Design Meets Culture: The Porsche x Almond Surfboard Collection

When Porsche partnered with Almond Surfboards to create a limited-edition surfboard collection, it was an inspired fusion of German engineering and California surf culture. This collaboration merges precision design and a laid-back lifestyle in a collection that balances craftsmanship with bold, iconic aesthetics.

Designers: Porsche + Almond collection

Each board is hand-shaped in Costa Mesa, California, and showcases the iconic Porsche 911 colors from the 1960s: Bahama Yellow, Irish Green, and Polo Red. These bold, classic hues evoke the timeless appeal of Porsche’s storied motorsport past. Additionally, the Pink Pig livery, famously featured on the 917/20 at Le Mans, injects a sense of playful rebellion, bridging a connection between race tracks and ocean waves.

The attention to detail extends beyond color. Each board is meticulously numbered with 63, paying homage to the debut year of the first Porsche 911. These boards are designed for peak performance, crafted to carve through waves with the same finesse that a Porsche car cuts through corners.

Iconic Liveries: A Visual Legacy

Porsche’s racing liveries have left an indelible mark on motorsport culture. The Pink Pig livery, first introduced at Le Mans in 1971, caused a sensation with its butcher-style markings, a nod to fun and boldness in racing design. While it didn’t take first place, the livery remains unforgettable. Porsche’s knack for creating visual identities that speak beyond speed is part of what makes its designs iconic.

Other liveries, such as Gulf Racing and Martini Racing, tell their own stories of endurance and triumph on tracks like Le Mans and the World Endurance Championship. These designs represent Porsche’s relentless pursuit of innovation and excellence, and now, those same livery styles are reflected in the surfboard collection—offering Porsche fans a chance to connect with the brand in an entirely new way.

Numbers That Matter: The Significance of 63

The number 63 carries deep significance for Porsche, symbolizing the birth of the 911 in 1963. This number isn’t merely a historical reference—it reflects Porsche’s enduring philosophy of design and innovation. On the surfboards, the 63 serves as a reminder of Porsche’s legacy and how that spirit has been translated into everything from cars to lifestyle products.

Personally, the number 911 has long been significant in my life. Over a decade ago, I managed to score a mobile phone number that starts with 917 and ends with 911—a perfect numerical tribute to one of Porsche’s most famous models. Every time I give out my number or see it on my business card, it feels like a small but meaningful connection to Porsche’s history.

Crafting the Boards: Surf Meets Precision Engineering

The shaping process of the surfboards in the Porsche x Almond collection mirrors the craftsmanship seen in Porsche’s cars. Each board is shaped from polyurethane foam, reinforced with basswood stringers, and wrapped in fiberglass cloth. The combination of these materials delivers durability, performance, and aesthetic beauty. Just like Porsche’s vehicles, each board is crafted with purpose, delivering on form and function.

Almond’s influence is felt deeply here, as their approach to surfboard crafting draws on the traditions of California surf culture. Known for their hand-shaped boards and commitment to craftsmanship, Almond brings a design ethos rooted in authenticity, simplicity, and a connection to the ocean. This influence transforms the boards into more than sporting equipment—they represent a lifestyle. Almond’s surf culture emphasizes longevity and timeless style, blending seamlessly with Porsche’s commitment to performance and precision.

The hand-foiled fiberglass fins are a nod to Porsche’s engineering precision. Crafted from 36 layers of fiberglass, these fins reflect a focus on fine detail, much like the assembly of a high-performance car engine. The inclusion of custom wooden wall brackets for display reminds us that these surfboards, much like Porsche’s vehicles, are as much art as they are machines for performance.

A Personal Connection: Pikes Peak and Porsche’s Racing Spirit

In 2016, I was fortunate to experience firsthand Porsche’s racing heritage on a drive I’ll never forget. While scaling Pikes Peak in a Macan GTS, wrapped in liveries designed to reflect Porsche’s racing history, I had the surreal honor of seeing my own name emblazoned on the car. This wasn’t just a typical drive—it was a full immersion into Porsche’s racing spirit, taking me from Pikes Peak to Mount Evans, a journey that pushed the Macan GTS and my own driving skills to their limits.

The livery on the Macan GTS was designed to reflect Porsche’s legacy at Pikes Peak. It’s a vivid reminder of how Porsche integrates its heritage into every aspect of its modern vehicles, creating a sense of continuity between the brand’s past, present, and future. Porsche’s emphasis on precision, balance, and driver engagement could be felt in every twist and turn of the climb.

Surfboards as Lifestyle: Porsche’s Expanding Design Language

What makes the Porsche x Almond surfboards special is how they expand Porsche’s design language beyond the road. These boards are an extension of Porsche’s identity. The Bahama Yellow, Irish Green, and Polo Red colors signify past 911 models and represent Porsche’s ability to merge motorsport heritage with contemporary design aesthetics.

Almond’s surf culture influences the design of these boards by bringing a sense of authenticity, simplicity, and connection to nature. The boards are shaped by hand, emphasizing craftsmanship, just as Porsche’s vehicles are assembled with precision. This collaboration showcases how Porsche’s design philosophy can transcend its automotive roots and enter new realms, like surfing, while staying true to the brand’s core values.

Porsche’s visual identity has always been about creating a lasting impression, from racing stripes to the Pink Pig motif. The Porsche x Almond collection is the next step in that journey, extending the brand’s influence from the race track to the waves of California.
