Here are solutions to some common issues that will help you to solve the bathroom design challenges that you face daily.

Some bathrooms are so small that making space for a WC, sink, and shower can be challenging. In such an instance you can create a sense of spaciousness by freeing up the floor space and choosing wall-mounted sinks and toilets that are fixed above the ground. This is one of the best ways to give your washroom an open and airy ambiance and it also allows space for versatile storage below the sink.

To make the bathroom look more spacious, install wall-to-wall mirrors to bounce light and visually double the space. Also, opt for paint colors such as light shades of blue, pastels, and white in semi- or high-gloss finishes to reflect light and give the impression of a larger bathroom.

• Ambient lighting illuminates the entire bathroom and some examples of ambient lighting include ceiling fixtures, pendant lighting, and recessed lighting.
• Task lighting creates additional light in specific areas, such as over the vanity or in the shower. Wall lamps or lamps can brighten up specific areas. This light is designed for specific tasks such as shaving, makeup, combing, and hair styling. Light fixtures include mirrors with lights, wall lights, or pendant lights.
• Accent lighting emphasizes a special feature, such as highlighting a particular design or simply placing a chandelier over a soaking tub.

Choose energy-efficient LED downlights in bathrooms, ensure safe lighting in wet areas, and efficient lighting on basins. Enhance the overall atmosphere by placing bathroom wall lights on both sides of the mirror in windowless areas

After 15 minutes, flush the toilet and use a brush dipped in vinegar to scrub off the residue. Flush again, and you’re left with a fresh-smelling bath.

One of my favorite times of the day is bathtime! As, we’ve grown older and life has gotten super hectic, bathtime is that precious hour of the day when we can fully indulge in self-care, and pamper ourselves. Whether that’s in the form of a bubble bath or a long warm shower! And having a beautifully designed bathroom with thoughtful designs will only amplify this special time of the day. And one such well-designed and thoughtful product I recently came across is the Amore translucent resin bath by Lusso.

A great bathtub is essential for a great bathroom, that is of course if you have a bathroom that is spacious enough to accommodate a bathtub. And British bathroom brand Lusso recently launched the Amore. What makes Amore so special? Probably the fact that it looks drop-dead gorgeous. Designed to make a dramatic and magnificent impression, the Amore is a freestanding bathtub made from translucent resin. Designed by the Lusso founder Wayne Spriggs, the choice of material for Amore was truly ingenious. It’s what imparts the bathtub with its truly unique and awe-spiring appearance. It is available in two colors – smoked black and rich amber red. Both colors have a rather mysterious and seductive appeal to them.

“While many of our collections are influenced by the timeless, minimal style that’s synonymous with Scandinavia and Japan, for our new collection of Amore freestanding baths we’ve turned to the Mediterranean for inspiration,” said Spriggs. Italian bathroom brand Agape teamed up with French architect Jean Nouvel to create this beautiful collection of sinks and baths. The name Face à face is derived from the dual meaning of the word ‘face’ in French. In French, the name translates to ‘surface’, and ‘human face’. The name intends to convey the materiality of the products, as well as their functionality in the process of bathing. Quite interesting, no?

The collection essentially consists of a stunning sink and a bathtub. Both products have a pretty angular feel to them and are highlighted by upright slabs of marble, as well as a tilted backrest in the tub. The slanted backrest was featured to give the impression that both sides of the bathtub are standing like separate pieces, rather than being connected. Crafted from flat sheets of marble, the collection truly celebrates the beauty of the material. It artfully showcases the detail, veining, and sheer simplicity of the stone. Wow, Darth Vader and bath fizzers – those are four words I never thought I’d hear together. There really is a first time for everything.

Available from FireBox, a six-pack of Vader Bath Fizzers (I feel weird every time I type it) will set you back $14. For those of you good at math, that’s $2.33 per fizzer. For those of you bad at math, I will take your SATs for you, but it’s going to cost you some serious Galactic Credits.

Each fizzer is shaped like Vader’s iconic helmet and turns your bath water jet black, releasing “a sweet amber and ginseng fragrance” in the process. Granted, that’s not what I’d make a Darth Vader bath fizzer smell like, but I admit it would be hard to really capture the subtle nuances of Alderaan following its annihilation via Death Star superlaser.

Jaws x TUBBZ Rubber Duckies: For A Bloody Good Bathtime

Because bigger boats aren’t just going to need themselves, Numbskull Design is adding four Jaws characters to their TUBBZ line of rubber duckies. You may recall the previously posted Back to the Future rubber duckies. Or you may not, I know firsthand how hard it is to form new memories when your brain is already full of internet memes and TV jingles.

The new Jaws duckies come in four characters: chief of police Martin Brody, oceanographer Matt Hooper, shark hunter Quint, and Bruce the shark. They’re currently available for pre-order, and expected to ship around October. I particularly like how they made eyeglasses for Brody and Hooper, those were a nice touch.

Am I going to buy all four and then reenact the movie in my bathtub? Yes, plus give myself a big bubble beard and pretend I’m Poseidon, god of the sea. My wife will knock on the bathroom door and ask what all the angry splashing is about, and I’ll have no choice but to tell her a raccoon fell through the attic into the tub.
