35.5 inches Avengers Tower LEGO set comes with 31 superhero minifigures

The LEGO Marvel set has been in the rumor mill for a very long time now, and the wait is now over. LEGO Group has finally unveiled the 76269 Avengers Tower set which is the biggest ever Marvel-themed set released. It is also the first ever modern set to have 31 minifigures in total. The set is slated to launch on November 24 for a price tag of $500. For those who buy it from November 24 to November 27, the set will come with the complementary LEGO Marvel Taxi gift that includes a New York taxi, taxi driver, Black Panter and Outrider minifigs.

This LEGO set created as a part of the 60th anniversary of The Avengers also clocks the milestone of being among one the tallest sets when fully put together. Just for reference, it is taller than the 76178 Daily Bugle set measuring 35.5 inches in height. At first glance, you’ll instantly recognize the Quinjet, Leviathan and two Chitauri flyers from the 2012 Avengers Assemble. The interior on the other hand has scenes depicted from the Infinity Saga, Age of Ultron party and Endgame.

Designer: LEGO Group

Talking of the minifigures, the noticeable ones include Tony Stark, Iron Man MK7, Captain America, Thor, Ant-Man, Loki, Hulk, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and many more. From the lot, however, it’s strange not to see some characters like the Quicksilver minifig. The set also includes brick-built Dum-E although the press release has no mention of it.

The LEGO set has a removable roof and side panels to recreate any of the scenes on the individual floors and keep monotony at bay. At the top of the structure, you can build the Quinjet and the Lego Chariot that can be hooked onto the tower. The Leviathan can be positioned standing outside the tower. For those who already own the smaller Marvel sets including the Daily Bugle and Sanctum Sanctorum, these sets can be attached to the baseplate (32 stud) of this colossal set to create a stunning diorama.

Master & Dynamic MW09 TWS earbuds take the heavyweights with renewed design, sublime audio and improved ANC

If you are looking for the cream of wireless earbuds then the best bets are Bowers & Wilkins PI7 S2, Master & Dynamic MW08 and Technics EAH-AZ80. You can’t go wrong with either of these, but the PI7 S2 and EAH-AZ80 inch just a bit ahead of the ones by Master & Dynamic.

That however could change with the newly launched Master & Dynamic MW08 wireless earbuds. Just like every other brand’s earbuds, these have incremental upgrades that make them better than their predecessor. They’ve got better overall design, comfort, audio quality and ANC to lure audiophiles who are on the lookout for that ultimate package.

Designer: Master & Dynamic

The New York-based luxury audio brand released the MW08 series in 2021 and this new launch was imminent. The new ones have the design DNA of the predecessor but with a more ergonomic shape and reduced weight. This should make them a great fit for a wider range of ears. The acoustic enclosure has been upgraded and the 11mm beryllium drivers promise the “most expansive sound profile ever” for that sublime audio signature offered by the brand.

Talking of the ANC, the TWS earbuds get updated microphones and sensors aided by the noise-canceling algorithm to block out unwanted ambient noises. The call quality also gets a bump up with the AI-powered high-definition speech software for natural-sounding voice. Multipoint connectivity brings seamless connection to two devices simultaneously which has now become a standard with flagship options. The accompanying app fin tunes things to adjust the equalization levels, ANC settings and the transparency mode to hear important things while listening to music.

The buds come with a choice of foam and silicone eartips which should work for every type of audio lover. Battery life of 12 hours with ANC turned on and 16 hours with it turned off is impressive. Top that off with 32 hours of backup in the charging case and this will be a major selling point for these premium earbuds. The design is also something you‘ll absolutely love or hate. The use of anodized aluminum shells covered in sapphire glass gives off that peculiar industrial look but in a very refined form.

Master & Dynamic MW09 ANC True Wireless earbuds can be preordered from November 14, 2023 in very attractive options – black with black aluminum case, white and silver with silver aluminum case, gold with gold aluminum case, green with Kevlar case, blue with Kevlar case, and gunmetal with Kevlar case. The price tag of $349 matches the industry heavyweights and is head-on in competition with the acclaimed options I mentioned at the start of this piece.

This electric bicycle turns into a kick scooter but lacks the comfort one would desire

Personal mobility vehicles come in various genres and form factors depending on the specific needs of the user. There is a wide array of options from the upbeat Segway and kick scooters to the more conventional bicycles and unicycles. The creative Asian market in Japan and China is also witness to the more futuristic personal pods that are a cross between a Segway and a scooter.

This electric bicycle further takes the hybrid nature of personal commuters to the next level with Cake bike-inspired aesthetics. The modular nature of this commuter makes it a good option for every kind of user. It can be your scooter, a Cake bike, or an electric ride.

Designer: YU ID

The ride also draws inspiration from everyday gadgets, adapting their sleek form without compromising on the robust aesthetic that’s vital to support the body weight. Talking of supporting the rider’s weight, the saddle takes an awkward-looking shape that’ll not keep the rider comfortable for long. This form factor flows with the slim character of the bicycle but is somewhat of a comfort killer I have to say.

The rear middle section of the Electric Mobility bicycle can be detached for the kick-scooter functionality. A pretty big kick scooter it has to be said, perfect for above-than-average people. Would anyone fancy riding this? Well, this commuter has many bases untouched that should have been taken into consideration while designing the blueprint.

This colossal rideable robot, resembling a giant rhinoceros gives meaning to the phrase ‘riding in style’

Have you ever wanted to ride a rhinoceros? I would have never thought of an idea to be even close to reality, but after seeing this rhino-inspired behemoth with four sturdy legs, engineered to walk and transport up to four adventurous passengers, I am sold by the idea!

An amalgamation of entertainment and technology, this larger-than-life creation: the SR-02, a quadruped walking robot, is developed by Sansei Technologies. This is a company renowned for crafting thrilling amusement park rides that set hearts racing at Disney.

Designer: Sensei Technologies

The electric-powered prototype of the four-legged walking robot was debuting at the Japan Mobility Show, previously known as the Japan Motor Show, this year. The SR-02, right to the word, stole the spotlight, hinting at a future where personal mobility takes on an entirely new form.

This ambitious creation isn’t however crafted for a specific client but instead for the pleasure of those who seek unique experiences at amusement parks. Whether you fancy taking control yourself or allowing remote guidance, this marvel of engineering provides both options, ensuring a delightfully dynamic adventure for all its passengers.

The SR-02 stands at around 11 feet in length, slightly over five feet in width, and nearly seven feet in height. Its spacious design ensures that passengers have ample room to sit comfortably, making the entire experience not only thrilling but also enjoyable.

The prospect of riding a colossal, rideable robot might sound like a dream come true for many, and the SR-02 has the potential to transform amusement park experiences into something beyond imagination. However, until further announcements are made, we can only sit back and wait to know when.

This Japanese trailer or possible home extension is blank canvas you can shape to your desires

In a captivating unison of innovation and style, reckoned Japanese RV maker, Kworks, has joined forces with Japanese home goods manufacturer Lixil, to birth the Mio Space trailer. This architecturally fascinating trailer rethinks the concept of furnished camping trailers and presents owners with a blank canvas they can furnish to their willingness.

To that accord, Mio Space trailer is a statement of adaptability. Kworks offers it for two possibilities, either it can be used for camping or seamlessly placed to extend the boundaries of your home. As an adaptable trailer, it can thus cater to every day of the year (in your backyard or in the wilderness), with a fascinating design that blurs the line between nature and modern architecture.

Designer: Kworks and Lixil

To start out, the Mio Space trailer captivates with its expansive windows that beckon natural light, complemented by the warm embrace of wooden paneling on the inside and out. The strategic placement of wooden slats from top to bottom not only adds a touch of allure to the interior, it also offers functional spaces to hang furniture, imbuing the trailer with a distinct flexibility.

Arriving in a noticeable rectangular structure, the Mio Space trailer has subtle rounded edges to distinguish its looks. Step inside, and the vast emptiness of the space strikes at first glance. However, Kworks asserts that this deliberate openness embodies a ‘flexible design’ ethos. It allows owners the freedom to shape the space as they desire: whether as a camper’s nest or an additional room that complements one’s home.

While the onus of furnishing the Mio Space trailer falls on its future owners, the clever positioning of slats creates opportunities for storage and a possible kitchen area to make the trailer into a desirable mobile home. If you may, you can pre-order the Mio Space starting summer of 2024. Even though Kworks has kept the features and pricing under wraps for now, we learn Mio Space sales will be confined to Japan, at least initially.

Man builds 13-foot mammoth bumper car which by surprise is street legal

Retirement is often associated with relaxation and leisure. But for Dan Hryhorcoff from Pennsylvania, retirement meant diving into an entirely different realm of creativity: one that involved building extraordinary vehicles that defy traditional expectations.

After years of working on a submarine and various other innovative projects, Dan embarked on an intriguing automotive endeavor during the pandemic and came up with a Bumper car, twice the normal size, but rendered street-legal. Dan’s automotive journey first began with a replica of a vintage Murray General pedal car that he sought to magnify into a larger-than-life fiberglass creation (Dan honed the knack for working with fiberglass through his prior project—a fully functional submarine).

Desginer: Dan Hryhorcoff

However, Dan’s real automotive masterpiece emerges in the form of this gigantic street-legal bumper car. This striking creation measures an astounding 13 feet in length, 7 feet in width, and 5.5 feet in height, doubling the dimensions of a regular bumper car. The inspiration for this colossal bumper car came from a 1953 model bumper car at the Knoebels amusement park in Elysburg, Pennsylvania.

Dan was captivated by its design, reminiscent of a Chevrolet pickup truck from the post-World War II era. Spending meticulous hours at the amusement park, he gathered information and captured every detail necessary to replicate and magnify the charm of the vintage bumper car. Dan’s attention to detail and creativity shone through as he fused elements of a Chevrolet Aveo and a motorcycle wheel into his design, reshaping the traditional bumper car into a unique, functioning vehicle.

With the front of a Aveo integrated into the rear and a motorcycle wheel at the front, his bumper car boasts incredible maneuverability with sharp turning capabilities. The choice of materials was always critical in the construction of this larger-than-life automobile. The exterior, crafted from fiberglass, not only ensures durability but also adds a touch of nostalgia by paying homage to the original bumper car’s design. What truly sets Dan’s creation apart is its ability to be street-legal, a rarity for such unconventional vehicles.

Marine-inspired Bose earbuds boast stemless design and fin tips for secure fit

Premium wireless earbuds have gained popularity in the last couple of years due to their practical design, excellent ANC and non-compromised audio comparable to IEMs. The current top-of-the-line options are the Sony WF-1000XM5, Bose QuietComfort Ultra, Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 and Jabra Elite 10.

Talking of the Active Noise Cancellation feature, Bose is at the top of the tree. The earbuds also score high when it comes to comfort. The stem design of the TWS earbuds makes it a direct competitor for the Apple AirPods Pro 2 which are the best option for users deep rooted in the Apple ecosystem. So, how about a refreshing design for Bose earbuds that ditches the stem shape for a more conventional shape without compromising a secure fit?

Designer: Anant Vijay

This concept design for Bose earbuds not only peps up the available options but also lures in buyers who ditch QuietComfort Earbuds II for the stem design. Inspired by underwater creatures and marine life, the audio accessory is designed to deliver sublime audio and a unique user experience. But excellent sound delivery is nothing to talk about if the comfort level is compromised. For that reason, these Bose earbuds come with ear tip fins for a secure seal. Thus, you can take them to the gym, swimming pool, or morning runs without worrying about them falling off or getting loose.

Waterproof and dustproof aesthetics bring another level of security to a buyer who’s spending well to get premium features. The choice of colors for the buds is also inspired by the marine colors, and I absolutely love the choice. The nozzle of the buds is narrower than you would otherwise find on Bose earbuds signifying a shift towards warmer sound signature with emphasis on low sub bass.

Depending on the audio drivers installed on these Bose buds, one can expect big sound coming from that housing. Could we expect this to be a future design language for the Bose premium earbuds? That could be the case if Bose wants to have stemless buds also in its lineup.
