Maximize Workout, Minimize Space: The MAJOR FITNESS F35 is an Advanced All-in-one Home Gym

They say the best way to be consistent with something is to remove obstacles. Bought a guitar but aren’t playing it because it’s in a case? Take it out and keep it right beside your bedside so you find it easier to pick up every now and then. Got yourself a gym membership but couldn’t be bothered to go to the gym? Just get the gym to you! The guys at MAJOR FITNESS have designed what can only be described as the most comprehensive home gym ever. Designed to be attached to a wall in your house (or preferably your garage), the MAJOR FITNESS LIGHTNING F35 is a foldable gym that packs more than 80 exercises designed to target every major muscle group. It’s comprehensive, featuring a cable crossover system, a power rack, a multi-grip pull-up bar, and a landmine – everything you’d find at your nearby gym… but more importantly, it’s compact and folds right into your wall, occupying a few inches of space when not in use.

Easily one of the most compelling aspects of the MAJOR FITNESS F35 is its space-saving design. As home gyms have risen in popularity, especially in urban environments where living spaces are often compact, the need for multi-functional and space-efficient gym equipment has become more pronounced. The MAJOR FITNESS F35 is designed with this in mind, with a folding form that’s a perfect fit for apartment dwellers or those with limited space. It can seamlessly transform a small area into a comprehensive home gym, challenging the notion that effective strength training requires a large, dedicated space. The folding feature, aside from being much more intuitively designed than other wall racks (and offering 7 angles), even allows exercising in various positions, increasing versatility and variety. This puts the ball (and gym) in your court, giving you the freedom to train whenever you want right in the comfort of your home. Just try looking for an excuse now!

While many space-saving fitness solutions often cut corners in functionality, the MAJOR FITNESS F35 offers no such compromise. This folding power rack, when paired with weight plates, offers over 30 different exercises, going up to 80 different exercises when combined with additional accessories. It successfully integrates four distinct training systems: a cable crossover system, a power rack, a multi-grip pull-up bar, and a landmine. This amalgamation is not just about adding numbers to the list of possible exercises; it’s about ensuring that users can engage comprehensively with different muscle groups and workout styles.

Firstly, the cable crossover system in the F35 is a standout feature. It allows for a variety of exercises that target multiple muscle groups. Users can engage in exercises like cable flys, tricep pushdowns, and bicep curls. This system is particularly beneficial for those looking to engage in isolation exercises that focus on specific muscle groups, offering a level of workout specificity that’s often missing in home gym setups. The cable system can be both height as well as angle-adjusted (with 15 height adjustments) and has a max weight capacity of 132 lbs, offering a safe experience even for intense workouts.

Next, the power rack component of the F35 is central to its functionality. It enables classic strength training exercises such as squats, bench presses, and deadlifts. The power rack is designed to support heavy weights, catering to both beginners and advanced lifters. This feature is crucial for users focusing on compound movements that work multiple muscle groups simultaneously, providing the foundation for strength and muscle-building workouts. The J-hooks and safety arms have up to 13 different height adjustments to choose from, and the J-hook itself can withstand a whopping 660 lbs of weight for those monster deadlifts.

The multi-grip pull-up bar is another versatile feature. It accommodates a variety of grip positions – wide, narrow, and neutral – allowing users to target different parts of their upper body, especially the back, biceps, and shoulders. Exercises such as pull-ups and chin-ups are essential for developing upper body strength and are a staple in many workout routines.

Lastly, the inclusion of a landmine adds a dynamic component to the F35. This feature allows for rotational exercises that are often overlooked in standard gym setups. Users can perform landmine presses, rows, and rotational movements, which are excellent for core strengthening and functional fitness.

The MAJOR FITNESS F35 comes with a design that’s easy to assemble with no power tools or extra equipment. Written instructions, DIY setup videos, and even phone support and live-chat help allow you to assemble your MAJOR FITNESS F35 without any hiccups. Its IKEA-like construction allows it to ship flat-packed, where you can then unpack and install it in a jiffy, securing it to a wall for extra stability and anchoring. Once installed, your home gym is ready for you and even a partner or a buddy to use simultaneously. Double pulleys (one on each side) allow you to have a shared workout with your friend or partner when you’re not spotting each other. All this in the privacy of your home, without those annoying gym memberships and crowded, sweaty gyms.

Your F35 comes in 3 color options – grey, black, and red. When folded, it measures 83.8 inches tall, 68.5 inches wide, and 20.9 inches deep, opening up to 103.9 inches wide and 56.3 inches deep when fully opened. Each MAJOR FITNESS F35 comes with a 3-year warranty on the product. You can grab yours for as low as $849 (which also includes the customs fee), with the MAJOR FITNESS F35 delivering this month (November 2023) with 48-hour expedited shipping for US customers… that’s just in time for your New Year fitness resolution!

Yamaha Design Lab The Gripper lets you exercise your fingers like a saxophone player

Yamaha is a brand that evokes two different images depending on who you ask. Some might know it best for its musical instruments and audio equipment, while motorists might be more familiar with its motorcycles. Although they seem to have nothing in common other than their name, they do share a common passion for well-designed products. There are many when the two companies come together to put pool their creative minds and come up with designs that showcase their shared passions and visions. This hand grip concept is one such example, combining expertise in musical instruments and metalwork to create an odd-looking hand exercising tool that you might wish you could buy someday.

Designer: Yamaha Design Laboratory

A hand gripper is definitely an odd choice for a product from both Yamaha companies, even if it’s just a concept. Then again, whether you’re playing musical instruments or driving a motorcycle, you need to have dexterous hands. Regularly exercising them is one way of maintaining or building up hand and wrist strength, and hand grips like these are one of the most common ways to do that.

Of course, “The Gripper” is clearly not your typical hand grip. The most common hand grips are just two plastic or padded grips with a coiled metal in between for resistance, though there are more sophisticated ones that use buttons with springs for each finger. Yamaha Design Lab’s concept mixes these two types together in a rather eccentric way that makes The Gripper look more like a musical instrument than a tool.

There is a typical palm grip, though it is made of natural sculpted wood that gives it a warm and soft touch in contrast to plastic or rubber. It contrasts with the cold metal pipes that make up the actual grip that branches out into five different paths, one for each finger, including the thumb. Rather than simple buttons, however, each “key” is a concave metal disc that lets your finger rest on it securely without fear of slipping off. This gives the finger grips an unusual aesthetic that makes them look like the same keys on a saxophone or trumpet. In fact, you can operate each key separately like on those instruments, letting you move and exercise each finger differently.

There is also a mechanism that lets you adjust the length of each pipe to accommodate different finger lengths. This rather unusual design helps increase the tension for better exercise while also offering a unique feeling of delicate manipulation for every finger. In other words, it creates a whole new experience that provides stress relief and exercise in an aesthetically pleasing and interesting package. Unfortunately, The Gripper is fated to remain a concept unless Yamaha changes its mind after receiving strong demand for such a quirky design.

Modular home fitness equipment also serves as a low table when not in use

There has been a rise in interest in personal fitness in the past few years, which naturally meant a rise in home fitness equipment products as well. This category was once populated by treadmills and stationary bikes, but there is also a variety of other machines or designs that try to assist in a number of exercises. Many of these pieces of equipment take up a lot of space in your home or might be too complicated to use. On the other hand, smaller exercise tools usually cover one or two exercises only, forcing you to buy other kinds that will end up taking up just as much space. There are quite a few fitness products that try to condense all these things into a more compact design, but this rather creative solution approaches that problem from a different angle and allows you to use it as a piece of furniture on days you’re not exercising.

Designer: TRUS

One of the few advantages of going to a gym is the availability of different machines that exercise different parts of your body. That variety is hard to pull off at home with single equipment that focuses on only two or three types of exercises. It might be impossible to really fit all the exercise machines into a single piece of equipment, but there are certain ways to deliver the same kind of workout by using different movements instead.

The TRUS Box uses that principle and gives it a slightly different twist. At first glance, it looks just like a low coffee table or shelf, which is actually part of its appeal. In reality, however, it separates into different parts that you can reconfigure and connect with different accessories to allow you to perform different sets of exercises that cover cardio, strength, aerobics, and everything in between.

For example, if you take one of the top wooden panels and attach the removable feet under it, you get a low stepping board. If you run one of the resistance ropes under it, you can start doing biceps curls instead. The main body can be used as a jumping box, for bench pushups, and more. There’s definitely a lot of flexibility in how you can mix and match pieces for different exercises while also using some parts on their own, such as the door anchors for curls and presses.

As mentioned, you can also use the TRUS Box as a piece of furniture, though you’ll definitely have to make sure that the wooden surfaces are clean before placing food or drinks on top. The box also acts as a storage bin for the exercise bar, ropes, and anything else that can fit. The compact size of the box makes it possible to even stash it inside the car trunk if you ever want to work out elsewhere. The versatility of the design makes TRUS an interesting product, not just because of the exercises it enables but also because it lets you reuse the space that it occupies for something else.

Compact indoor rower lets you have an effective and accessible workout at home

Being able to exercise at home has become a necessity for many people, especially for those without easy access to gyms or gym equipment. In modern homes, it’s difficult to find space for more than one or two home fitness machines, so it’s important to choose one that can pack the most efficient workout into a compact size. Rowing is an exercise that engages 85% of muscles, and this portable rowing device lets you complete both cardio and strength training workouts at home without surrendering space to a bulky and noisy metal monster.

Rowing activates nine muscle groups, giving an almost total workout. ROWBRO also comes with a built-in pull-up bar and the handle can be used on its own for resistance strength training. This means that you only need one machine for just about all your exercising needs.

Designers: Florian Kaufmann & Diego Kaufmann

Click Here to Buy Now: $328 $599 (45% off). Hurry, only 6/56 left! Raised over $440,000.

Typical rowers are large, menacing, and bulky machines that permanently take up residence in your house. Depending on the type of resistance mechanism used, they can also be noisy. Ever heard the sloshing of a machine with water resistance or the whirring of a machine with air resistance? Forget about enjoying a quiet workout while your family or neighbors enjoy sleeping in.

ROWBRO is an innovative solution that you can easily set up and store away every time you use it. You can carry it around the house to change your workout location for variety or maybe even bring it with you to another house while on an extended stay. And with its magnetic resistance mechanism, it is virtually silent, letting you sweat it out in peace without bothering anyone else.

The secret to ROWBRO is its ingenious design that gets away from the bulky frame. For stability, you will need to have a steady doorway to set up the pull-up bar that serves as the machine’s mount. Alternatively, you can also get the wall mount add-on to set it up against a wall if a door frame isn’t available. Once the ROWBRO is secured, you attach the guide rail and unfold it on the floor, and then place the wheeled seat on it. Once all that is done, you can simply sit down, put your feet on the machine, and start rowing your way to fitness.

ROWBRO also comes with a pull-up bar so you can work your biceps and much more.

ROWBRO is made for rowing novices and pros—the rower offers three levels of resistance for optimal rowing control—low, medium, and high.

Despite its seemingly simple design, the ROWBRO is a capable machine that offers multiple levels of resistance for different people. There’s also an accompanying app that you can install on any smartphone or tablet to measure and keep track of your workouts, with a premium membership in the works that will offer live instructions and fun games. You also don’t have to worry about the wheels ruining your floor, as they are the same type of floor-friendly wheels used for inline skates. They work best on hard floors but will also function well on any carpet that you could roll an office chair over.

For only $328 early bird, ROWBRO is a fraction of what other indoor rowers cost, giving you an efficient workout you can have at home without having to sacrifice any of your precious floor space forever.

Rowing machine concept uses minimalist, recyclable design

I’m the kind of person who wants to get in more exercise this new year but also hates going to the gym or basically going outside to work out. So I’m always on the lookout for things I may be able to use inside the house to burn some calories. I easily get bored with all those workouts on YouTube so I need to have some alternatives that will still help me to lose a few pounds. If said exercise machine is also eco-friendly, of course, that’s better for me and the earth.

Designer: TZEN Studio

Lora is a concept for an indoor rowing machine that is hoping to ease the boredom of working out while still giving you the aerobic workout that you need. It also wants to find the balance between humans and the environment by using plastic and aluminum that can eventually be recycled when the product reaches its end of life. To also help you not get that bored while working out, there is a stand to attach your smartphone or small tablet so you can watch something else while working out.

The rowing machine is made from aluminum alloy and uses a continuous structure. It is able to bring together engineering structure and technology to come up with a machine that will help you burn fat and help lessen waste with its recyclable material. It also has a pretty minimalist design so that when you’re not using it, you can just prop it up against the wall so it will not take up space in your living room or home gym. Product renders show a yellow green striped texture in the front.

While the design and the concept seems pretty good if you’re looking for an exercise machine, the effectivity as an aerobic, fat burning device will be determined when the product is actually made. I’m not into any type of rowing exercise but it would be interesting to see the design and engineering techniques applied to other kinds of exercise machines like treadmill, stationary bicycle, etc.

This motor-powered fitness machine can fit in bags or even a large pocket

There has been a great deal of interest in home fitness machines in the past few years, but that trend also made many of us painfully aware of how little space we might have in our homes or apartments. That situation is even more poignant for people who are always on the go yet want to retain a healthy and active lifestyle wherever they are. Of course, some people are also able to use this limitation as an excuse to skip a few workouts in the middle of the week, finding no place to set up any kind of exercise equipment in the middle of their office. But what if you could bring your gym equipment with you anywhere you go? That’s the proposition that this fitness machine in a box is making, with a solution that’s partly inspired by the latest innovations in robotics.

Designer: Unitree

Click Here to Buy Now: $159 $259 ($100 off). Hurry, less than 72 hours left! Raised over $520,000.

Unitree is a company better known for its robotics, particularly its quadruped robots, not unlike Boston Dynamic’s Spot. That, however, isn’t its only creation, and it has been able to apply the fruits of its inventions and research into something so unrelated but perhaps even more meaningful for regular people. That is the Unitree PUMP, a new kind of portable exercise machine that can replace almost all your gym equipment in training 90% of your muscle groups, whether at home, in the office, or in a hotel room.

At the heart of the PUMP is the robotics company’s unique motor system that can adjust its resistance up to 44lbs (20kg) to give you the most efficient workout, unlike your typical elastic resistance bands. You no longer have to suffer too much resistance or no resistance at all, allowing you to have a consistent pump every time you lift or pull. On a full charge, the motor can last 1,000 reps, and any USB-C power bank can extend your workout in a flash. When you work out, you generate energy that PUMP can convert into electricity. This electricity, in turn, can be used to charge other devices, such as your smartphone. With one press of the Power Generation button, you can turn the PUMP into a makeshift power bank for your mobile device.

Concentric Mode – You can customize resistance from 11 – 44lbs (5-20kg) and a ratio from 0-50%.

Eccentric Mode – Gives you more burn when you’re releasing the weight, giving your muscles more time under pressure.

Constant Mode – Adjust the resistance range from 4.4 – 44lbs (2-20kg). The resistance will be the same whether you’re pulling the rope out, or releasing it back in.

Chain Mode – Choose resistance from 4.4 – 44lbs (2-20kg), but it allows you to schedule resistance and let PUMP adjust resistance automatically while you train.

The best feature of the PUMP, however, is its size. At only 700g and 10cm wide, the box can easily fit in any bag or suitcase. It can even fit in a pocket if you have one large enough to hold it. It can also anchor to almost anything, from door frames to floor to even your foot. This simple configuration is already enough to support multiple exercises, like bicep curls, standing rows, squats, rows, and so much more. Additionally, PUMP offers four training modes, including concentric, eccentric, constant, and chain, each with its own resistance setting. And with just a few accessories, you can have your own space-saving rowing machine, exercise bar, or power rack. You really have fewer excuses to get pumping, no matter where you are.

The PUMP also has a few smarts, thanks to both the built-in controller inside the box as well as its companion smartphone app. In addition to recording your reps and calories burned, the PUMP app also features tutorials and training plans to guide you along your way to a healthier lifestyle. And for those who want a more interesting way to exercise, fitness games based on traditional weight training can add a bit of excitement and fun to your daily regimen.

With Unitree PUMP, you can live the active life you’ve always wanted, anywhere and anytime. Freed from the constraints of space, this innovative motor-powered device can take the place of multiple exercise equipment that takes up almost no space at all. For only $159, you can have your own personal gym in a bag, ready for you to work up a sweat when and where you want to.

Spinning bike concept brings more approachable look for home use

While it’s probably healthier and better for you if you ride an actual bike outside, there are times and situations when that is not possible (like, in my case, if you don’t know how to ride a bike). A favorite exercise routine for a lot of people is going spinning on their indoor exercise bikes. For beginners though, it can look challenging getting on those machines especially if the bike has a lot of controls and buttons. So a design for a bike for home and family use should look approachable and less intimidating.

Designer: Yifeeling Design Lab

This concept for a spinning bike called AROUND tries to have a softer look as compared to those super serious exercise bikes you see in the gyms. The light gray color makes it more approachable and the flywheel body design makes it ideal to have at home, as part of your living room furniture, or even in your bedroom. The mood board for their design concept includes mollusks and portable water purifiers as well as other previous designs from Yifeeling.

This exercise bike also has a tuyere-like design instead of just the regular faucet handle seen on exercise machines so you get a bit of breeze while you’re spinning. This should be able to simulate the air flowing through you at least if you’re biking outdoors. There’s a small monitor in the handle so you can watch something while biking as some find it a bit boring to just cycle indoors. There’s also a screen to show your statistics like heart rate, speed, calories burned, etc.

One complaint I have with most exercise bikes I’ve tried is that the seat itself is pretty uncomfortable. Of course, comfort is not the main thing you’re going for when what you want is to burn calories and do your workouts. But it would be great if the seat would not cause you too much stress. From the product renders, the seat looks to be pretty similar to the other ones in the market so I guess this is something all these spinning bikes have in common.

Fiture offers a stylish fitness mirror that can fit with your room decor

There has been an uptick in personal fitness equipment and platforms in the past two years or so, with many people stuck at home and having no access to public gyms or outdoor spaces. Some of these seemed exorbitantly overpriced while offering little over common exercise machines. Others, on the other hand, are more accessible but make no effort to hide their less than aesthetic appearances. Striking a balance between useful and beautiful has been a delicate dancing act for many new companies, but one newcomer believes it has struck gold with a smart home device that lets you do your exercise in the privacy of your own room while it looks almost as pretty as your bedroom’s full-length mirror. In fact, it actually works like one.

Designer: Fiture

Fitness mirrors are not completely new, but they experienced a spike in interest and popularity in the past months as people tried to cope with having no access to gyms or personal trainers at home. The idea is to have a device that lets you communicate with a remote trainer while you go through your exercises at home. The mirror acts as a display that guides you through the reps while a trainer watches you from the other side of the wire. There are already quite a few of these in the market, but Fiture believes it has a better chance of ending up in your house because of two differentiating features.

The first and the most apparent is that the Fiture fitness mirror actually looks more like a fancy home mirror than a machine masquerading as one. While the generically named “The Mirror” also lays claim to that title, the Fiture does one better by offering five colorways to match your decor or wallpaper. The shape of the mirror itself is more visually pleasing, employing rounded corners and brushed metal surfaces to make the frame look more aesthetic. The U-shaped legs provide stability when the mirror isn’t mounted on the wall while also giving it a more distinctive style.

Unlike other fitness mirrors, however, the Fiture isn’t a two-way mirror into your house, one of the biggest concerns interested buyers have. It’s for this purpose that the company invented what it calls “Motion Engine Technology” to protect your privacy. In a nutshell, the mirror and your trainer only see skeleton points as you move, so you can work out with bed hair, and no one will be the wiser. When not in use, you can even put on the magnetic camera cover to completely block out even this AI-based technology.

The Fiture isn’t cheap, of course, especially when you add the monthly subscription that gives you access to content and trainers. Then again, you might end up paying more with a gym membership that doesn’t give you the same privacy and convenience of an at-home workout. Plus, you also get to have a full-body mirror that doesn’t look like a fitness device when not in use. Just don’t forget to put on the camera cover when you’re dong using it, just in case.

8. The Pilot Bicycle

The final design of the Pilot Bicycle is centered on a lightweight 7005 series aluminum frame and striking hubless wheel characteristics. To finalize the hubless wheel design that is functional to the last detail, Franz took help from his mechanical engineering colleagues. In the end, the off-center axle design had the additional gear to spin the wheels at a proper rate with pedaling motion. This is assisted by the onboard motor for that extra boost on inclines when the throttle is pressed. The Pilot bicycle finally came to life after countless edits and alterations to the design. The next step was to finalize the colors, materials, and finishes.

9. The ‘boîtier for bike’

The boîtier for bike doesn’t actually come with its own stationary bike, but rather, is designed to be compatible with your existing stationary bike. Designed to fit Pelotons as well as bikes from other brands (there’s a list on their website), the boîtier comes with a load-bearing slide-out drawer made from steel that actually lets you mount the bike on it. The drawer’s built to withstand up to 180 kilograms, so you can actually work out right on the boîtier, and slide the bike in once you’re done. It’s weirdly convenient, and your guests won’t even know that you’ve got a makeshift gym in your living room.
