Most MagSafe Wallets Just Hold Cards, MOFT’s Also Tracks Itself

MagSafe wallet accessories have become their own product category, and the options aren’t in short supply. Most do one thing well. The slim ones snap on neatly but run out of card space fast. The fuller ones carry more but are hard to ignore in a pants pocket. Finding one that handles everyday carry, quick card access, and location tracking together has been less straightforward than it sounds.

MOFT’s Trackable Field Wallet is a more ambitious take on the MagSafe wallet than the category usually produces. It snaps to an iPhone with strong magnetic force, holds up to eight cards in three organized compartments, tracks its location through Apple’s Find My and Google’s Find Hub, and folds into a phone stand. That’s an unusual amount of functionality packed into something roughly the size of a standard wallet.

The tracking doesn’t prevent loss; it just gives you a map back to wherever the wallet went. For anyone who carries their cards clipped to their phone, the wallet and phone are already together in the first place, which narrows the chances of separation considerably.

The pile of stands and folios people accumulate, one for drawing, one for watching, one for travel, never solves the “I just want one thing that works everywhere” problem. The case is light enough that the whole setup still feels portable, and the low drawing angles make it easier to treat the iPad like a sketchbook instead of a slippery glass slab balanced on your knees.

The back of the folio has subtle printed icons, circles, and lines that you align to quickly find specific angle presets. MOFT calls out examples, 60 degrees for watching movies on a plane, 30 degrees for note-taking in a meeting, 18 degrees for drawing in a cafe, and steeper angles for reading or gaming. It is less trial-and-error origami and more a guided folding system you can remember after using it a few times.

Of course, reinforced corners wrap the iPad’s most vulnerable edges, ready for bags and bumps, while MOVAS-P vegan leather gives the outside a refined texture and the inside a smooth finish that resists scratches. The tracker runs for about six months on a wireless charge, and the app shows battery level, so it does not quietly die.

The magnets are tuned to around 15N of snap force, strong enough to trust when using it as a stand or grip. Because it is MagSafe-ready, you can snap a charger onto the back without dismantling your setup. The 0.25-inch profile and 62g weight mean it does not turn the phone into a brick, which matters if you are sliding it into a pocket or small bag.

If there’s anything we’ve come to expect from Moft, it’s the ability to combine design and origami together to make some of the slimmest-yet-most-enduring stands for phones, tablets, and even laptops. Moft’s stands are so thin that they’re practically invisible… but fold them open and you’ve got something that’s so robust and functional it’s honestly surprising.

We came down to Moft’s stand at CES to check out their latest product – the Invisible Phone Stand. As ardent fans of the Moft Z (the world’s thinnest laptop stand) and the Moft X (a shape-shifting slim phone stand with a built-in wallet), we wanted to check out what else they were building, only to set eyes on the ‘Invisible Phone Tripod’ – a highly versatile and adjustable tripod that sits at a mere 0.27 inches thick when folded back into your phone.
