This RFID-blocking Smart Wallet has the most Satisfying Opening Mechanism

Select a card from the Shuffle Wallet, and it’s no surprise if it evokes the familiar feel of a deck of playing cards. The concept of the Shuffle Wallet resonates widely, given the universal experience of playing cards, adding a touch of brilliance to its conception. When Stephen’s co-founder Jack asked him how he came up with the idea, his simple response, “It was an accident,” made me chuckle. He said this while wearing a neck brace. While I like minimalist wallets and shuffling cards, will combining the two make for a great form and functional wallet? Let’s explore further and discover why this product is the perfect solution for the most personal accessories you carry daily.

The Shuffle Wallet is cleverly designed as an ideal solution for those looking to simplify their lives and protect their cards, especially those with NFC chips, from unwanted scans. Consider a common situation that I’ve experienced, where I’ve flustered my children in front of their friends by fumbling through cards and old receipts to locate the Starbucks card when treating them to drinks at Starbucks. While this may have only lasted seconds, it felt mortifying to a teenager with their friends watching. Another costly example where the Shuffle Wallet could have saved me time and money occurred during my visit to Tokyo. When riding the subway there, you must retain your exit ticket. Otherwise, you’re required to pay again if you lose the ticket. This situation becomes even more problematic when riding the bullet train, where the ticket price can exceed $80. These instances underscore the shortcomings of traditional wallets, and it’s these everyday inconveniences that the Shuffle Wallet aims to eliminate.

The Shuffle Wallet is thinner, classier, and more fun than your thick leather bifold

The Shuffle Wallet, created by the innovative team at Mobile Pixels, stands out for its practicality and elegant design. It includes a unique opening mechanism reminiscent of a deck of cards, which allows you to easily browse and select one of the six or eight cards (if you use the silicone pouch). The quick-draw slot provides swift access to your most frequently used card.

Your cards fan out in a satisfying way, allowing you to easily pick the right one every time.

This feature isn’t just about speed; it’s also a security measure designed to keep your cards securely in place, preventing them from accidentally slipping out. It also comes with a sleek money clip for those who prefer to carry cash, providing a minimalist yet organized way to keep your bills secure and accessible.

The creative features of the Shuffle Wallet continue with its unique opening mechanism. It also incorporates RFID-blocking technology. This feature provides a secure barrier to protect your cards from potential digital theft, ensuring your sensitive information is safe from unauthorized RFID scans.

The Shuffle Wallet is entirely RFID-protected, so digital scammers can’t scan your cards without your permission!

RFID blocking creates a barrier or shield around your cards that operate using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. This technology is commonly found in credit cards and passports, allowing information to be read wirelessly via radio waves. While this provides convenience, it also opens up the potential for unauthorized access or theft of sensitive data.
An RFID-blocking feature, like the one integrated into the Shuffle Wallet, prevents this unauthorized access. It uses materials that interfere with radio waves, making your cards ‘invisible’ to a scanner and securing your information.

This feature is crucial because digital theft is becoming increasingly common. Criminals can use portable RFID readers to steal information from your cards without you even knowing. The RFID-blocking feature in the Shuffle Wallet protects your cards against such potential digital theft, ensuring your sensitive information is safe from unauthorized RFID scans.

Want to share your contact card? The Shuffle Wallet has a built-in NFC business card that lets you share with a tap.

Networking is essential for everyone, from new graduates to accomplished entrepreneurs. That’s why the exchange of contact information must be swift and efficient. The Shuffle Wallet offers a perfect solution that combines convenience and technology. This innovative wallet features an NFC chip inside a silicone pouch, allowing you to embed your digital business card. You can easily share your contact information with a friendly tap of the wallet.

Recognizing the diverse needs of its users, the Shuffle Wallet offers a range of optional accessories to enhance its utility. An AirTag holder is available for those who want the added reassurance of being able to track their wallet, a feature that merges technology with peace of mind. For added convenience, there’s also a flashlight attachment with two brightness levels, a keychain capable of holding up to 10 keys, and a multifunctional credit card tool that includes a range of tools from a screwdriver to a bottle opener, all designed to be TSA-approved for trouble-free travel.

The wallet also provides an optional non-RFID silicone pouch for those who need quick access to specific cards without RFID protection. This is especially useful for items like subway passes or gym cards, which you might need to swipe or scan frequently.

Frequently used cards can sit in the Quickdraw slot, allowing you to instantly access them in under a second

The Shuffle Wallet is available in two durable materials: aluminum, which weighs 4.7oz, and titanium, weighing slightly more at 6oz. The aluminum version is offered in various appealing colors, including neon black, polar ice, gunmetal, and diesel green, while the titanium version showcases the sleek, raw beauty of titanium. Despite its compact size of 4.25 x 2.44 x 0.5 inches, the wallet is designed to be functional and stylish, with an aluminum keychain extending to 9cm in length.

From a broader perspective, the Shuffle Wallet provides more than just a storage space for your money and cards. It is a thoughtfully designed accessory that blends security, style, and practicality, catering to individuals who prioritize efficiency and grace in daily life.

Attach a faux Game Boy magnetic wallet to your iPhone

A lot of “vintage” gadgets and devices are back but not everything is in their original iteration. Not all of these are still working per se since there’s a reason why they became outdated but that doesn’t mean they can’t come back in one form or another. A lot of these older gadgets are now being retrofitted as design concepts. So if you see someone walking around with a Game Boy attached to their phone, that’s not really an actual Game Boy.

Designer: elago

The latest addition to elago’s Nintendo themed Apple accessories is the Game Boy MagSafe wallet, which is exactly what its name says. It’s a magnetic wallet that you can snap on to the back of your MagSafe iPhone (from the 12, 13, 14, and 15 series) where you can store up to two cards. It has RFID blocking material so yur cards will not be affected by electromagnetic waves.

What makes this silicone magnetic wallet unique is that its design is inspired by Nintendo’s Game Boy which will bring on the nostalgic feels for anyone who has played this classic gaming console at one time or another. From the display to the red buttons to the D-pad to the start and select buttons, it has captured the exact design and vibes of the typical Game Boy that we used to know and love.

Since it’s actually a wallet for your two cards, it has a button that will help push the cards out. And since you also have to hold both the phone and attached Game Boy Magsafe wallet, there’s a groove near the bottom so you’ll have a good ergonomic grip. It’s now available for purchase at just $19, if you want to make your iPhone look cooler.

The AirTag Gets Tough Competition from This Razor Slim Credit-Card-Sized Tracker with Apple Find My

What I find disappointing about the AirTag is that it’s the one recent product Apple truly needs to redesign, but hasn’t in the past two years. The Watch, AirPods, iPhone, iPad, and MacBook have ALL seen upgrades over the last two years, but the AirTag is still a thick, bulky coin-shaped device that you can’t fit into your wallet or your cardholder. The AirTag’s strange shape makes it oddly bulky, allowing third-party makers to design better tracking devices instead. Designed to be the same size as a credit card, the Slimca HERE offers a perfectly slick alternative to Apple’s own tracking device. It’s razor-thin, making it easy to slide into wallets, has global tracking, a left-behind reminder, a built-in speaker, and works over Apple’s Find My network.

Super slim profile that fits into your wallet easily.

Specially designed ultra-slim USB-C charging cable.

The Slimca HERE has quite a few things working for it, the most important one being its 0.9-millimeter thick design (that’s 0.0354 inches, for you metric nay-sayers). That feature alone puts the Slimca HERE as the thinnest Apple Find My-compatible tracking device ever made, outshining card-shaped trackers from Chipolo and Tile, while still being USB-C rechargeable. The entire tracker has a flexible design, allowing it to easily fit into most traditional bifold wallets and even giving it a gentle amount of flexibility so it can take on any slight bending that comes from day-to-day use. The Slimca HERE’s card-shaped design means it slides into card holders, lanyards, pockets, backpacks, purses, and other slim slots too, offering nearly all the features of an AirTag but in a razor-thin design.

Real-time updates via Apple FindMy for precise tracking, ensuring stability and regular updates.

Like most trackers, the Slimca HERE works globally, offering real-time tracking right within the Apple Find My application. Add it as a device on your Find My network, and you can see its position anywhere across the globe, thanks to its Airgain antenna that offers remarkable wireless connectivity. Aside from being able to spot the tracking device on a map, you can even remotely trigger it to play an alarm, helping you find it faster. Dual-speakers in the card help fire loud 105dB audio in 360°, helping you locate the tracker through sound when it’s in the vicinity. A left-behind reminder allows the Slimca HERE to directly ping your phone if you accidentally leave it behind (or if it stops being within proximity of your smartphone), and if someone’s Slimca HERE makes it into your belongings or personal space for more than 1-3 days, it notifies you to let you know that you’re being tracked.

A common trade-off with slim tracking devices is the lack of proper battery charging procedures. The AirTag itself comes with a replaceable battery, but the CR2032 batter is thicker than the Slimca HERE tracking device itself! Most other trackers just have their own lithium-ion battery that’s hermetically sealed within, making the entire product disposable in the long run, but the Slimca HERE has a rather clever workaround. It sports a pretty bare-basic USB-C port, hidden behind a removable metal cap. Plug a cable into the port and you can now recharge your tracker, giving it 5 months of use on a full charge. A power button lets you turn on/off the tracker too, helping conserve its battery.

The Slimca HERE comes crafted from 304 Stainless Steel, one of the most preferred alloys used in gadgets and wearables. It comes with a golden-plated back that gives it an almost premium credit card-like appeal, while a cutout lets you easily string a lanyard directly to the card in case you don’t want to put it in a wallet. The Slimca HERE is designed to be IP64 dust and water-resistant, and comes with a 1-year warranty. It sports a competitive $31 price tag and ships globally starting January 2024.

This MagSafe Wallet + Power Bank + Tracking Device might just be the Ultimate iPhone Accessory ever

The people who say Less Is More clearly didn’t come across the Stympro. A 4-in-1 accessory for your iPhone, this bad-boy is a MagSafe Power Bank, a Wallet, a Phone Stand, and a ‘Find My’ compatible Tracking Device all bundled into one. Quite literally the perfect accessory for your iPhone, the Stympro charges your device, stores your cards, and lets you track your belongings if they ever get stolen. It measures 10mm thick (0.3 inches), weighs 100 grams (3.5 ounces), and also props up your phone if you want to FaceTime hands-free. Pretty neat, eh?

Designer: Stympro Tech

Call me a bit of a pessimist, but I wouldn’t expect Apple to make a gadget like the Stympro. Why? Because it just doesn’t make any business sense. Why sell them a 4-in-1 product when you could sell them 4 individual products, right?! The Stympro does the job of a wallet, a charger, a stand, and an AirTag, all of which together would end up costing you well over $200. The Stympro, on the other hand, is a nifty $79 gadget that packs everything into one convenient design. With a PU leather exterior (it isn’t FineWoven, but that’s alright), the Stympro snaps to the back of your iPhone using the MagSafe protocol. It sports a slot that holds 3 payment cards (just like Apple’s MagSafe wallet), charges your phone thanks to its built-in 2000mAh battery (just like Apple’s now discontinued MagSafe Battery pack), and also has its own Find My feature that lets you track the wallet if it ever goes missing. If that wasn’t enough, the wallet also doubles as a kickstand thanks to a built-in hinge, turning into an easel of sorts to prop your phone up in both landscape as well as portrait modes.

The Stympro’s stand feature works in landscape and in portrait.

The Stympro comes with a polycarbonate body that has a PU leather clad over it. N52 magnets on the inside allow the Stympro to attach securely to your iPhone, and a microfiber inner lining ensures the accessory doesn’t leave scratches on your phone’s glass back. A 2000mAh inner battery begins charging your phone the second it snaps on, relying on MagSafe for alignment and Qi-charging protocols to deliver 7.5W of wireless power to your device. To charge the Stympro’s inner battery, a USB-C port built into the bottom lets you merely plug it into your phone charger.

Stympro holds anywhere between 1-3 cards

Although designed to attach to your phone, the Stympro’s makers also envisioned a scenario where the 4-in-1 wallet isn’t affixed to the back of your smartphone. In the eventuality that your iPhone and Stympro get separated, a built-in tracker lets you determine the location of your wallet on the iPhone’s Find My app in real-time. A tweeter within the wallet also lets you remotely ‘ring’ your Stympro, allowing you to hear it if it’s in a messy or crowded space and is difficult to spot.

It’s easy to just dub the Stympro as a ‘multifunctional’ wallet, but what it does is just common sense, if you look at it from a consumer lens. It just doesn’t make sense for the four different products (power bank, wallet, stand, tracking device) to exist as independent objects. In fact, isn’t that the very ethos behind the iPhone? When Steve Jobs unveiled the first iPhone, he dubbed it as an “iPod with touch controls, a phone, and a breakthrough internet communications device.” Through constant repetition of this very phrase, Jobs hinted at the fact that what he was talking about wasn’t three separate products – it was one single device, capable of doing multiple things. In all those ways, the Stympro is just that, a cleverly built accessory that handles multiple crucial roles while being the best damn companion your iPhone could ask for.

The Stympro comes in Midnight Black and Orange variants, starting at a discounted price of $79 with global shipping beginning in November of this year.

This Sleek, Hyper-Durable Carbon Fiber Wallet Will Make You Ditch That Terribly Old Leather Bi-Fold

It’s 2023. Do yourself a favor and ditch that archaic leather wallet in a museum. Civilization has moved on, and so should you.

There was a time when “money” meant physical valuables. Belongings, jewelry, and coins made of precious materials like gold or silver. In this pre-cash era, it made sense to use a leather pouch to carry your items. As we moved to banknotes as currency, the flexible leather bifold wallet still made sense. We’re 250 years past the Industrial Revolution, so why are we somehow still clinging to this prehistoric ancient material for making our wallets?

A dominant part of our financial institutions are now online, with more people using cards to make payments than actual banknotes and coins. This transition also demands a cognitive shift in the definition of what a wallet should be… and what it should look like. The Masverano Wallet is a part of that global movement towards a new future with a better wallet. Crafted from carbon fiber with a durable plastic chassis underneath, the Masverano hopes to be everything you’d expect from a wallet of the future. It’s sleek-looking, strong, spacious, lightweight, functional, secure, and uncomplicated.

Designer: Masverano LLC

Click Here to Buy Now: $49 $65 (24% off) Hurry! Limited capacity!

The Masverano wallet’s design is simply a modern classic. It isn’t ancient, like your leather or fabric bifold, it isn’t overtly complicated like some over-engineered modern-day wallets we see today. It cleverly holds your cards between two robust carbon fiber plates, blocking them from view as well as RFID-protecting them. Your cards stay concealed, as does your cash (unlike modern money clips), and you don’t really need to struggle with mechanized triggers and spring-loaded deployment systems that deploy your cards in a fan-shaped pattern. You’re a classy urban citizen, not a street magician.

The Masverano Wallet’s patent-pending design features two high-performance carbon fiber panels

The Masverano wallet’s simplistic approach is clearly visible in its design too. The wallet is broadly made of four parts – two high-quality 3K carbon fiber plates, a PA 66 plastic frame, and a silicone band holding the entire thing together. On the inside, it has space for as many as 8 credit cards or a combination of credit cards and business cards, and a crawl-space built into the plastic frame in the middle easily allows you to store banknotes, coins, or even a key inside. Your cash stays hidden inside the wallet, and can be accessed on command. Easy peasy.

The beauty of the Masverano lies in the fact that it draws a fine balance between being modern and traditional. It reinterprets the wallet’s design and function for modern times, but still functions somewhat like your standard wallet by opening like a book to reveal what’s inside. If you want to access your cards, you can either open the wallet and grab the card you need, or slide your thumb into the notch in the carbon fiber panel to push your cards out and pick one, or simply tap to use it at a payment terminal.

By virtue of its sandwiched design, your cards and cash get conveniently segregated. The cash sits right in the middle, fitting into the cutout in the plastic chassis, while your cards get divided by the chassis into two zones. You can either divide your cards based on how often or rarely you use them, or by the type of card, be it a payment card, an ID card, a public transport card, or a business card.

The carbon fiber panels form the Masverano wallet’s identity. They mark a distinct shift from the wallets of yesteryear, bringing space-age materials to the EDC category. Each wallet measures 3.7 inches (94mm) long, 2.2 inches (56mm) wide, and a mere 0.6 inches (15mm) thick, making it as small as a credit card and as thin as your smartphone.

At 32 grams or just above an ounce, it’s lighter than most leather or metal wallets out there, and can absolutely hold a candle to any wallet for its durability. In fact, the folks at Masverano mention that the wallet is sturdy enough to be stepped on, and the silicone band is tested to last well over 50,000 stretches. Moreover, the carbon fiber is highly resistant to scratches and other kinds of damage, and is made to be RFID-blocking too, so your cards can withstand the snooping eyes of hackers.

The slim, tiny wallet fits in any pocket

Accessing your cards and cash is easy, thanks to the flexible silicone band. The Masverano’s design fits all kinds of currency too.

The Masverano’s hyper-portable design makes it easy to carry around. Plus, with that aesthetic, you’ll proudly want to show it off too!

The Masverano Wallet’s patent-pending design uses no glue, stitches, screws, or fasteners. The wallet is securely held together by that high-quality silicone band, which comes in as many as 10 different colors. This means you can not only choose a color that fits your sense of style, but also swap bands on command, changing the palette of your wallet every day. The wallet starts at $49, with a limited-edition ember-inspired Forged Carbon wallet starting at $89. For $119, however, you can grab yourself two Masverano wallets along with all 10 silicone band colors. The Masverano wallet ships globally, beginning October 2023.

Multifunctional MagSafe Wallet makes sure your cards will never go missing again

Like a true trailblazer, Apple took the existing wireless charging technology and made it into an exciting new trend that’s taking the smartphone accessory market by storm. Although it is primarily meant to address one of the biggest problems with wireless charging, the new MagSafe also opened the doors for more gadgets, accessories, and trinkets that take advantage of that magnetic connection. That even includes some things you might not immediately associate with a phone, like this stylish magnetic wallet that sticks to your phone almost like glue. More than just making sure your cards and IDs are always with you, this multi-talented accessory will give you peace of mind that even if you misplace it, you’ll always be able to find it again, no matter where it is.

MagSafe wallets are admittedly not new, and even Apple sells its own official pieces. Ironically, these first-party wallets don’t take full advantage of all the technologies that Apple has to offer, particularly when it comes to locating lost stuff. Apple might prefer that you buy its AirTag separately, but that’s not something you can add to the Apple MagSafe leather wallet anyway, at least not without resorting to ugly hacks.

Snap On – More than double the strength of the official MagSafe Wallet via powerful built-in magnets with 1,500 g of holding force.

Simplified – Simply push your finger into the bottom cutout to instantly pop a card out and get on with doing your thing.

Geo Wallet combines these two functions into a single elegant piece that can also do more than just stick to the back of your iPhone. At its core, it is an elegant wallet that can hold up to three cards, keeping them safe while also providing easy access when you need them. An inner dynamic tension spring secures your cards in place, but all you need is a simple push from the bottom cutout to pop out the card you need in a flash. And with a holding force of about 1,500g, you can rest assured that it won’t suddenly detach from your phone the moment you pull it out of your pocket or bag.

Go Longer – The built-in rechargeable battery goes for 3 months on a single charge and lasts for years, so you can keep your wallet longer and reduce waste.

Find It – Instantly see your Wallet’s real-time location, play a sound, and receive Left Behind notifications.

What makes Geo Wallet special, however, is its official Apple certification for the Find My feature. What this means is that it takes almost no work to pair the wallet with your iPhone so that it never gets lost. Apple’s Find My network warns you when you’ve left the wallet behind and also lets you locate it, even when it’s out of range. And if those two functions aren’t already enough to convince you, Geo Wallet, fortunately, still has a few tricks up its sleeve to win you over.

Steady Hold – Letting you easily slide in any finger, the loop provides a close, snug fit and quickly folds flat when you’re ready to pocket your phone.

View It – Create a powerfully stable stand at any angle between 15° and 170°, portrait or landscape.

For one, it has a built-in finger loop that lets you hold the phone with confidence, especially considering how strong the magnets are in staying where they should. The wallet also opens up to become an extremely useful phone stand that, thanks to MagSafe’s versatility, can hold the phone up vertically or horizontally as needed. It might be called a wallet, but Geo Wallet definitely does more than hold your cards. Its Apple Find My capability and added features truly make it a must-have for any iPhone owner, all for the sweet Super Early Bird price of $31.

Tanner Goods recycled leather wallets make the old new again

Plenty of people love leather, from designers to fashionistas to connoisseurs and everyone in between. Leather looks great and also feels great in your hand or on your skin, and unlike most materials, it ages gracefully. In fact, the way leather ages is almost as unique as the person using it, developing different patina patterns depending on how it has been used, which can vary from person to person. As beautiful and biodegradable as it might be, its source and production are highly controversial. Synthetic leathers, on the other hand, just don’t cut it in terms of quality and sustainability. There are new kinds of more sustainable and more ethically-sourced leather being developed, but while we wait for them to become more commonplace, the least we can do is to make sure that not even a scrap of leather is wasted, which is exactly what these handsome leather wallets are doing.

Designer: Tanner Goods

While leather itself is more sustainable than materials that use synthetic fibers or chemicals, its creation is, unfortunately, a questionable process. Of course, it continues to be the material of choice for many premium products, many of which produce plenty of waste from scraps and cutoffs that are simply thrown out. While reusing these pieces won’t exactly eradicate the leather problem completely, it does mean that there could be less need for fresh leather every time a new product is made.

That’s the kind of smart reuse that Tanner Goods is proposing with its newest addition to its leather wallet collection. The wallets are made from 100% recycled leather that was ground from the cutoffs of their own leather gloves. These are then bound with natural latex, which means that the process and the materials are at least more sustainable than manufacturing leather wallets from scratch.

The results are wallets that are nearly identical to the non-recycled versions, except perhaps in the shades of brown that might have been a design choice to visually differentiate the two groups. In terms of the tactile qualities, Tanner Goods says that the wallets match those of the leather gloves they were sourced from, which might mean they’re also distinct from your conventional leather wallet. The “fresh” leather, for example, looks smoother and shinier, while the recycled leather has a more textured surface and less gloss. It’s not a perfect match, but it also gives the wallets their own distinct personalities.

It’s just a small drop in the sea that is the leather industry, and this strategy might not apply to larger leather products. A more substantial and long-term solution would be to produce more sustainable and ethical kinds of leather, such as those made from plants. Those still have kinks that need to be ironed out, but in the meantime, small efforts like this could still go a long way in making recycled leather more known and accepted, especially when it looks and feels like new leather anyway.

The ultimate minimalist wallet features a super-slim design with modular accessories like an AirTag holder

Designed to be as little as 0.3 inches in thickness, the Fantom X retains the title of being the slimmest wallet ever made without sacrificing on security, durability, or modularity. With the ability to hold anywhere from 4 to 13 cards, and also the option of adding modules for holding coins, banknotes, keys, and even AirTags, the Fantom X is the perfect blend of minimalism and materialism. And if that somehow wasn’t enough, it also comes with a lifetime warranty!

Money has evolved a lot since the past century, but wallets, funnily enough, haven’t. They’re still made from leather, shaped like chunky bifolds, and feel substantially big and bulky for the year 2023. The Fantom X revisits what a wallet should look like in 2023 with a design that’s equal parts futuristic and practical. It’s designed to be slim so you don’t end up sitting at an angle when the wallet’s in your back pocket (there’s an entire Seinfeld episode about this), yet its slimness doesn’t compromise on crucial features. The wallet’s spacious enough to store all your cards, deploying them at a moment’s notice for you to access whenever you want, and if you’re the kind to carry notes and coins with you, the Fantom X supports the attachment of modular accessories to add more carrying capabilities to your wallet. The wallet comes crafted from highly durable Cerakote aluminum, with a choice between wood veneer or carbon fiber panels on the exterior, giving your wallet an exquisite aesthetic that beats any full-grain leather wallet or card holder.

Unrivaled Convenience – Pull lever, fan them out, choose the one you want.

The ornate cover plates that go on the front and rear of the wallet stand in contrast to the industrial charm of the Fantom X. Patrons are offered a choice between Bamboo, Walnut, or Carbon Fiber plates to decorate their wallets. While the Bamboo and Walnut veneers lend a unique earthiness to the wallets, the carbon fiber plates enhance the Fantom X’s futuristic appeal, making look and feel way ahead of its time.

Peace of Mind – Their patented fanning mechanism holds your cards securely until you need them. It also offers RFID protection so your cards don’t get scanned without your permission.

The Fantom X comes in 3 sizes depending on how many cards you want to carry. Cards placed within the wallet sit snugly in their spot and can be accessed by hitting the lever on the side that causes the cards to elegantly fan out so you can view them all and pick the one you want to use. Once done, you can tuck the card right back into the Fantom X and it’ll stay there in place without ever falling out (even if you tried).

Cash Holder – Features a built-in spring clip for securely storing your valuables, including cash, cards, receipts, and much more.

Coin Holder – Designed to hold your store coins, SD cards, and USB drives.

ID Holder – Provides visibility and protection for your ID card. A thumb cutout is built-in for easy card removal.

AirTag Holder – Know where your valuables are at all times.

Cards, however, aren’t the only thing people carry in their wallets, and the folks behind the Fantom X were quick to recognize that. Wallets are an essential part of your EDC, and sometimes you want to carry other items like cash, coins, or even keys. In comes the Fantom X’s modular accessory ecosystem, featuring separate holders for coins, banknotes, keys, and even ID cards. The wallet’s designed to natively block RFID, but the ID holder sits on the outside within a clear enclosure that makes it easy to view and even tap on portals at your workplace, the metro, etc. The modules mount directly to the side of the Fantom X (and you can only mount one of them at any given time), while the other side of the Fantom X lets you attach an AirTag holder that instantly lets you track, retrieve, and even call your wallet if you ever can’t seem to figure out where it is.

Made by the folks at Ansix Design, the Fantom X isn’t their first rodeo. The third in their wallet series, the Fantom X is 22% smaller and 35% lighter than its predecessors. It’s also designed to be ridiculously durable, with a Cerakote body that can pretty much take on any sort of rough use, and components like the lever mechanism that’s built to comfortably take loads up to 12 kilograms or 25 lbs. Designed and made in Canada, each Fantom X wallet is subjected to rigorous tests for quality, and ships with a lifetime warranty that so your grandchildren can use it to carry the currency of the future too!

They’re perfectly made for your iPhone 14, are designed with drop-protection and lips around your screen and camera bump, and the case has its own set of magnets to reinforce the attachment of its companion MagSafe wallet, which holds two cards. Apple made the MagSafe Wallet, Native Union just brought better craftsmanship to it.

The Native Union Profile Fox cases feature a premium leather construction, and both the case and the wallet are emblazoned with Maison Kitsuné’s signature fox logo. The cases and wallets are available in ‘Wine Lees’ brown and ‘Medium Blue’, and are designed to age and patina beautifully with time, creating a product that’s more unique to look at as time goes by.

The case guards your phone, protecting it from drops of up to 6 feet (1.8 meters), while the inside features a recycled microfiber lining that keeps the glass back of your phone free of scratches. Magnets within the case let you easily snap on the wallet, which holds two of your most-used cards. The interaction is reliable and strong, making it a perfect alternative to Apple’s own accessories.

Without the wallet, the Native Union Profile Fox case is still MagSafe compatible, letting you snap on your charger or even use a regular wireless charging pad with your phone. Snap the wallet on and you’ve now got yourself the ideal EDC that fits right in your pocket, giving you access to your tech and cards all in one cohesive unit.

While Apple doesn’t offer warranties on its iPhone accessories, Native Union does. The Profile Fox case and wallet come with a 2-year warranty on construction and manufacturing defects. There’s even a 14-day trial period just in case you’re a little particular about what gear you want to attach to your $1,000 smartphone (you’ve every right to be). The Native Union Profile Fox case and wallet retail for $119.99, and you can even head to the website to get a matching cover for your AirPods case or strap for your watch.

Not your average EDC: Mbacco’s leather wallet is an instant modern classic with a fun accordion design

In a world that’s still somehow stuck to the boring bifold or the cramped MagSafe wallet, the Mbacco Wallet offers a fun alternative. It’s compact, but still has enough space to store cards, cash, and keys… and comes with a lively accordion-inspired design that does a great job of organizing your cards and other belongings by priority or category. Although designed to hold cards, the Mbacco Wallet doesn’t have any strict rules – it’ll hold cash, keys, memory cards, and pretty much anything that’s up to 2.6mm thick and about the size of a credit card. The wallet’s fun accordion-inspired design holds anywhere from 5 to 9 cards, although it can be pushed to the limit to store as many as 12 cards without really breaking a sweat or becoming bulky like the kind of wallet George Costanza carries around.

Designer: Kristaps Krisjans for Mbacco

What’s truly wonderful about the Mbacco Wallet is that it’s the perfect blend of tradition and modernity. Look at the wallet, feel it, use it, and there’s no way you’ll ever struggle with it. It has no learning curve, no adjusting to, yet it’s refreshingly new to look at and use, and feels so much slimmer than any conventional wallet. It opens just like a conventional bifold, but instead of storing cards the way a bifold does, it stores them the way a book ‘stores’ pages. This makes each card easy to view and access.

The wallet comes crafted from premium leather, with a ripstop fabric accordion on the inside and RFID-blocking lining around the perimeter of the wallet to prevent digital theft. An elastic band holds the wallet together, and disengaging the band allows the wallet to fan open to reveal its five folded sections that store your cards. Two pockets on the front and back let you stash your most used cards, allowing them to be accessed without opening the wallet at all. For other items that may be prone to falling out, the Mbacco Wallet has a secret hidden compartment that lets you stash things like keys, memory cards, even coins.

The wallet is visualized in as many as 6 colors, including two black versions just for the purists! The colors reinforce the idea that the Mbacco Wallet still sticks to tradition, but does things just slightly differently – enough to elevate the entire experience. In the near future, the Mbacco team plans to announce a series of artificial, eco-friendly leather options too.
