Shop For Timeless Christmas Essentials and Gifts In Red, White, And Green

Designer: IKEA

Traditionally, Christmas is characterized by the classic colors of red, white, and green, each carrying its own purpose and meaning. Many of these symbolic associations trace their origins to Europe and other Western regions and the significance of each color is as follows:

Red

In Christian tradition, red signifies Jesus Christ’s blood shed on the cross for salvation. It also represents love, mirroring the warm feelings of the holiday season, as the most prevalent Christmas color, red features prominently in decorations, like holly berries.

Green

Legend has it that evergreen branches like Mistletoes and Holly Leaves adorned buildings in cold, dark winters to remind people that winter is temporary, and brighter spring days will eventually come. Romans would exchange evergreen branches as a symbol of good luck and this color is found in Christmas decorations like the Tree, mistletoes, wreaths, etc.

White

In Western cultures, white represents purity and peace while in Christian traditions, it symbolizes the arrival of Christ’s light into the world, evident in decorations like snowflakes, Santa Claus’ uniform borders, and church altars.

We all have those friends or family members who simply love staying at home, chilling in their own space, and having the time of their lives! These homebodies are content with a good book, a snug blanket, and a mug of hot chocolate on these chilly winter days and nights. Finding the perfect Christmas present for them can often be a task, but honestly, all you need to get them is something that’ll help them feel super comfy and cozy at home! And, we’ve curated a collection of product designs that are perfect for your loved ones who thoroughly enjoy staying indoors! 1. Nuzzie Knit Weighted Blanket

Think of Nuzzie as an oversized sweater, rather than a traditional weighted blanket. Designed to be warm, weighted, yet breathable, Nuzzie uses a loosely knitted technique to ensure you get the effects of a weighted blanket, without the problems of one. With its thick, crocheted design, Nuzzie comes with enough open spaces to ensure breathability, so you never work up a sweat at night, and the thick tubular fabric offers a more balanced alternative to having a blanket filled with beads that shift around. Moreover, that textured pattern on Nuzzie gives it a stylish edge over traditional blankets. Designed to work as a throw, the Nuzzie can be used in bed, on the couch, or anywhere in the house as a decorative element… and on the off chance that it gets dirty, Nuzzie can easily be washed and dried in the machine, thanks to its proprietary patent-pending DuraFill fabric.

3. The Alpha Pillow

Realizing that there’s more to a pillow than just being a soft bag with cotton inside, Ivana Lowchareonkul designed the Alpha Pillow. In its second iteration (after a pretty popular 1st version on Kickstarter), the Alpha Pillow 2 tackles the various parameters a pillow must maintain to give you ‘healthy sleep’ – this includes support, softness, breathability, cooling, and the ability to self-sanitize. The Alpha Pillow 2’s design starts with a bamboo-charcoal-infused foam mass, which apart from providing the benefits of memory foam, also uses activated carbon to neutralize microorganisms and toxins. The foam pillow comes with ergonomically placed air cells that promote breathability, and an aqua-gel membrane on one side of the pillow allows it to function as the ‘perpetually cool side’, keeping your face cool as you sleep.

4. The Goovis Young

The fundamental reason why VR headsets are expensive is because they’re literally head-worn computers designed not for entertainment, but for productivity. It’s the equivalent of having to buy an expensive enterprise laptop just to watch Netflix. What the GOOVIS Young changes about VR is that it embraces the technology for entertainment purposes, and does it in the best way possible… not by being a face-mounted computer, but rather a face-mounted display that’s compatible with practically any of your devices. With a 1080p display on the inside that’s designed to feel like a theater with an 800-inch screen, the GOOVIS Young is a universal VR display you can connect to your phone, laptop, tablet, set-top box, or even your console, allowing it to act as a dedicated display for everything between working, gaming, watching movies, browsing the internet, or even doing the odd stuff like tapping into your drone’s camera for incredible HD POV-ing.

7. The Slow Dance

Designed to be an art installation you can hang on a wall or place on a mantelpiece and stare at for hours, the Slow Dance lets you mount a variety of things within its magical frame, from feathers to flowers, to even interesting looking leaves. Switch it on, and the object within the frame begins fluttering in slow motion, without any external stimulus (you should really check out the video above). The illusion relies on two core components – a precisely engineered system within the Slow Dance’s frame, and your eye’s ability to see in 24 frames per second. The engineering lies in an electromagnet that causes the feather/flower/leaf to flutter away, and LED lighting built into the frame’s inner edge that strobes/flickers at a precisely calculated rate to make that chaotic flutter seem like slow-motion choreography.

The Top 10 Eco-friendly Products that are the ultimate gifts for sustainable design advocates!

Our unhealthy practices and way of living are truly harmful to the environment and have been slowly leading to its deterioration. And the world has been changing (for the worse) because of this. Hence, it is extremely important to live sustainably and consciously and to take care of the environment. Integrating sustainability into our day-to-day lives has become crucial! And we can do this in various ways. Designers and creators are coming up with sustainable alternatives for almost everything! Every product that is necessary and utilized by us in our everyday routine has an eco-friendly alternative to it. Replacing our usual mass-produced designs with these greener options will make a huge difference to the environment and Mother Earth! And they would also make awesome Christmas presents, and encourage others to lead a more sustainable life as well! From a DIY wooden bicycle to sustainable mushroom lamps – we’ve curated a whole collection of sustainable product designs to help you and your loved ones go green!

1. Openbike

This bicycle made of plywood was created with an intent to get more people to focus on sustainability. The open-source design is called ‘Openbike’ and despite the obvious problems that come with a bike made from plywood, it is still an affordable and lightweight alternative to those who want to live on a budget but are also eco-conscious. You can download the files to build your own bike here! To fabricate the bike, you have to download the drawings from their website. Then you can take the drawings to a local digital fabrication workshop where the CNC machine cuts the body of the bicycle from plywood and uses 3D printing for elements such as the saddle, front hub, and hand grips which could also be recycled from old bikes depending on the resources available.

2. Mycelium + Timber

Teaming up with researcher Ninela Ivanova, British designer Sebastian Cox’s “Mycelium + Timber” examines the viability of mycelium as a potential material in commercial furniture design. The mycelium fibers are bound to scrap strips of willow wood, which provides the base and fodder for the fungus to grow. The result is the absolute antithesis of mass production. Designed in part by nature, each lamp is unique, has its own aesthetic, and is beautiful in its imperfections. The lamps take anywhere between 4-12 weeks to ‘grow’. The scrap willow wood is first sourced from Cox’s own woodland and cut into fine strips before being woven into shape and placed inside a mold. The mold is then filled with a fungus called fomes fomentarius, which was cultivated using more scrap strips of wood. Inside the mold, the mycelium and wood fuse together, creating a unique type of composite material.

3. Calzone

Calzone is a reusable folding plate, inspired by (you guessed it), the Italian crescent-shaped turnovers that are so loved by everyone. The colorful product is perfect for picnics and hikes, because not only can it store food, but it also functions as a plate! When folded, and closed in half, Calzone functions as a nifty little container, but when opened, it takes on a flat form and can be used as tableware to serve food. It’s the perfect replacement for one-time use zipper bags and plates! Created from medical-grade silicone, Calzone is safe enough to be placed in the refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and oven.

4. The Hana Sneakers

Sneaker culture is technically a part of fast fashion which contributes largely to the mounting waste problem. But if you can find a cool pair that is sustainably designed right down to its packaging, like the Hana sneakers then we’re all here for it! Designed by Italian sneaker brand ID.EIGHT, not only is this paid unisex and cruelty-free but it is made from materials that are by-products of the food industry and are counted as waste – apple skin and hearts, grape skin, seeds, and pineapple leaves! Inspired by the 90s with references to the navy look, the sustainable shoes express the ironic and dynamic style of ID.EIGHT. The contrast between the upper in white recycled polyester and the AppleSkin details in shades of red and blue create a mix of contemporary and light colors.

5. Boundary Supply Rennen Recycled Pouch

The Boundary Supply Rennen Recycled Pouch is an everyday bag created from 70% recycled materials, eco-fabrics, and yarns crafted from four recycled plastic bottles. As eco-friendly as the bag is, it is also extremely functional. It features a business card sleeve, a pocket sleeve, as well as a pen loop to store all your everyday necessities! It measures 8.5 inches wide, and 2 inches deep, providing sufficient space to store all your knick-knacks. The recycled pouch is available in three colors, so you can pick one according to your personal taste!

6. The Kawamboo Bamboo Coffee Press

The Kawamboo Bamboo Coffee Press is crafted from authentic bamboo wood, and each coffee press comes with its own unique natural pattern. Featuring a 12 fluid ounce capacity, the bamboo coffee maker can make enough coffee for one person at one ago. The outer bamboo body protects the glass, ensuring it lasts longer than the usual coffee makers. It’s also very easy to take apart and clean! The Kawamboo Bamboo Coffee Press is a sustainable and eco-friendly gift, with an interesting appearance, that would be much appreciated by whoever is lucky enough to receive it!

7. The Coarse Pottery Air-Humidifier

Led by Haibo Hou, the team of student designers produced the Coarse Pottery Air-Humidifier as a sustainable alternative to electric air humidifiers. Designed to moisten dry interior spaces, the Coarse Pottery Air-Humidifier almost appears like a radiator made from clay. The air humidifier is made from a type of pottery that contains just the right amount of porosity and moisture absorption qualities. By adding water to the Coarse Pottery Air-Humidifier’s basin, the droplets will gradually rise and evaporate through tiny cavities located near the Coarse Pottery Air-Humidifier’s top. As the water rises, the interior space’s air is moistened with small water droplets.

8. The Seventh Generation Beam

Seventh Generation’s goal is to limit harmful chemicals and they use plant-based ingredients, scents made from real ingredients, and no synthetic fragrances/dyes in their products. It encourages the importance of wellness is in our personal care, household products, and generally in our everyday lifestyle. The concept demands we expand our understanding of what nourishes us without harming the planet through beautiful and innovative design. The aim is to create 100% plastic-free packaging. The challenge is to rebrand a traditional product line and redesign the packaging system to be fully sustainable while utilizing no plastic or bioplastic. Biomaterials like tin, wood pulp, plant cellulose, food waste, grass, algae, and mushrooms are being considered.

9. The Lucca Bozzi Solar Charging Wallet

The Lucca Bozzi Solar Charging Wallet is an advanced wallet with a built-in battery that recharges your device on the go! It can provide almost ten hours of battery life to your iPhone, Android, and other gadgets. It comes with an integrated charging cable such as Lightning, micro-USB, USB Type-C, and more. Though at the end of the day, it’s still a wallet. It boasts a bi-fold style and is perfect for holding your bills, cards, and coins. Crafted from beautiful Italian leather, it has a sleek and stylish aesthetic.

10. Vento

Inspired by his desire “to reinvent the ways we use and produce energy,” on small-scale levels, Vento is not merely a bicycle light, as Bestenheider describes, but “a power plant, a way to question energy consumption, and an object to connect like-minded individuals. Vento is a mindset.” Composed of four main components, Vento is like a miniature wind turbine. Constructed from recycled plexiglass and aluminum, Vento’s microturbine harvests wind energy while the bicycle is in motion. Then, the energy is converted into electricity through electromagnetic induction that takes place in the turbine’s generator. The bicycle light’s battery then stores this energy and the LED bulb generates light. While moving in your bike, the wind is always whipping past you, so the light will always work when needed. Positioned conveniently right between the handlebars, Vento also features on/off and blinking switches for day use.

The Top 10 product designs that are sure to make the top of every industrial designer’s wishlist!

If you have any product designers in your life, then you know that gifting them something is almost always impossible. They usually have everything they need – which basically includes their precious design equipment and gear. But there’s always a product or two in their must-have wish list. They are usually innovative product designs that can really help or support them through their creative process. They add a whole lot of value, and can even make or break their entire design process. And, we’ve curated a whole collection of products that are on every product designer’s secret wish list – making your holiday gift shopping a whole lot easier! You can thank us later.

The Jadelabo J1 is quite frankly two 3D printers built into one enclosure. With two extruder heads that can move independently on their own, you can practically print twice as many parts in the same amount of time, speeding up your workflow by 2X. The J1’s dual extruders can work simultaneously, printing two different designs at the same time, or even the same design twice, using its “Duplicate Mode”. If you’ve got a larger, more complex design, you can split it in half and have the J1’s extruders share the workload… and if you’ve got a bilaterally symmetrical print, the J1’s “Mirror Mode” allows you to input one half of a 3D model and have the printer create a mirror image too!

For long, 3D filaments have focused on more technical features, like being able to be printed seamlessly without strands of plastic ruining surface texture, or being easy to remove off your printer’s print-bed… but the guys behind Graft Milk realized what truly was lacking in this particular market. You see, printing filament is just like any art medium. A filament’s quality should not be limited to its physical property, but should also consider an artist’s aesthetic needs. Graft Milk’s PLA filaments come in a beautiful set of pastel colors, unlike off-the-shelf filaments and their standard reds, blues, greens, and blacks. Graft Milk’s filaments are a spectrum of colors that mimic natural materials like terracotta, sandstone, and marble, and are custom-engineered to be printed with a beautiful matte finish, making prints really showcase contours and details beautifully.

The Snapmaker 2.0 builds on its predecessor’s ability to let you change modules and turn your 3D printer into a laser-engraver, a CNC carver, or even a 4-axis CNC lathe machine. In its second generation, however, the Snapmaker 2.0 boasts of a customizable assembly that lets you build exactly the fabricating tool you need, allowing you to expand or scale it down based on the size of your operation or your workspace, add a protective enclosure, or even addons like an IP Camera or an emergency kill-switch. All of Snapmaker 2.0’s components come precisely machined from an anodized aluminum alloy, giving you a device that’s as robust as it is accurate. The machined components boast of incredibly low tolerances, resulting in precise outputs, and the Snapmaker 2.0’s own firmware like its automatic bed leveling system, or the software, the Snapmaker Luban, which lets you preview laser-patterns and artwork before you etch them, just gives you the extra bit of control you need to create the kind of designs you’ve got in your mind.

Recognizing the multiple issues that arise with artists, specifically designers, and their desks, Long Chan constructed Lift, a desk that can adjust to meet your needs. From the right angle, Lift almost appears like a heavy-duty, oversized wooden TV tray table, but looking at it head-on, it’s rectified as the designer’s workstation. While my days spent eating chicken noodle soup on a TV tray table while watching Cartoon Network are over, Lift utilizes a sliding mechanism that echoes the same one as the iconic living room staple from yesteryear. In order to assume different shapes, Lift depends on two sliding wooden pegs on both sides. The sliding wooden pegs on Lift’s front legs lower the desk’s working space to assume the shape of a traditional writing desk, with additional storage space is made available in the process, similar to that of a traditional secretary desk. Then, the other sliding wooden peg, placed along the side of the desktop, adjusts the desktop to form a drawing workstation, which sets the working space of the desk at an angle.

Even product designers need a little break from their constant mental stimulation and creative process. And what better way to de-stress than with LEGO?! The LEGO Star Wars Scout Trooper Helmet lets you put together your own helmet, made from 471 pieces! The kit also comes with a display stand, allowing you to proudly display your LEGO build. The stand even includes a little nameplate, doing true justice to your piece of art. 7 inches tall, 4.5 inches wide, and 4.5 inches deep, this kit puts your LEGO-building skills to the ultimate test!

The Carvera ships fully assembled, with a work-area measuring 14.2″ x 9.4″ x 5.5″. It self-levels at the start of every job, and will automatically select the right tool for the right job on its own, calibrating along the way for an accurate end result. The tools at Carvera’s disposal include multiple drill bits from broad to narrow, a probe tool, and even a 2.5W laser etching/cutting module. The Carvera automatically switches between bits and modules based on the job, and a rather clever dust-collection pipe located alongside the spindle sucks in wood chips, plastic dust, and metal shavings/burrs as the machine does its job, keeping the work area clean throughout. The enclosed design helps keep any other fragments or dust particles from littering your area, and cuts out sound too, making Carvera perfect for having within your home or on your workspace.

The X LapDesk Multifunctional Lap Desk Workstation promises to improve your daily work productivity! It comes in two interesting models – the X LapDesk B and the X LapDesk G. Created from bamboo plywood, the X LapDesk was designed to be placed onto your lap. It features a comfortable cushion base, built-in mouse pad, fast charger, plug-and-play USB hub, and an ambient light. The X LapDesk B is meant for business, and features a calculator, digital notepad, and wrist pad pillow. Whereas, the X LapDesk G is for gaming purposes, and is amped with hand and wrist sliders, and a built-in storage drawer.

A cross between a brush, a pen, and a quill, the DRILLOG is stationery at its absolute finest. Designed and made in Japan, the dip-pen features a drill-inspired nib that catches ink in its different hollow grooves when you dip it in ink, and the ink gradually travels down to the tip by virtue of gravity, giving you a new, elevated writing experience that doesn’t just translate to great penmanship on paper, it’s also a sheer pleasure to look at as the ink gathers in the nib’s finely machined spiral grooves, and travels down as you write. I like to think of the DRILLOG as a rather steampunk approach to stationery – in that it combines old styles with new technologies, resulting in a fusion of past and future. The DRILLOG dip-pen shifts the idea of an internal refill to the outside, using multiple channels in its metal nib to hold ‘rivers’ of ink that travel to the pen’s metal tip.

The multi-touch toolbar may be found its way out of the company’s premium laptop lineup, but it still remains a fascination for designers. Extending the Cupertino company’s idea of selling various accessories separate from the primary product, a designer has introduced us to the idea of a Magic Bar, which is nothing but a portable Touch Bar that can be used externally with any Apple (presumably) peripheral. As the renders suggest, this portable toolbar with significantly similar features as the ill-fated Touch Bar, complies with a recognizable design that would align horizontally as the keyboard. And when combined with the new iPhone may be, it could allow smart home shortcuts always in reach.

The MultiPro is a versatile $109 pen with the ability to cut, engrave, drill, etch, solder, and even 3D print using a variety of interchangeable heads that snap right onto the pen’s body. The pen, along with a bit of skill and 3Dsimo’s tutorials, enables you to repurpose everyday household items into quality wearable masks, and face-shields. The nose and mouth mask just requires a piece of cotton cloth that you can cut accurately with the pen’s cutting head. Switch to the 3D printing head to add dabs of plastic that help seal parts of the mask together creating a finished product that you can tie right around your face to filter out any particulate matter as you breathe. The face shield requires a fair bit of expertise, but 3Dsimo’s ever-expanding channel of YouTube tutorials and downloadable templates are more than sufficient to guide any novice through the process of building the shields from scratch.

Inspired by the multifaceted facades of Bangkok shophouses, Tenement H features customizable barriers that range from scissor gates to accordion doors, shutters, and railings. Constructed from aluminum, Tenement H is modular and versatile by design, allowing access to the storage units from all sides and multifunctional as a semi-partition for your room as well. Coated in glossy optic white, scarlet red, and light blue, the modules of Tenement H mimic the color scheme of Bangkok’s city storefronts. Each unit can be configured according to what your space allows–for smaller spaces, Tenement H can be built up vertically while larger spaces would allow for a wider base.

Built around a grid that’s mounted to each unit’s ceiling, these modular furniture systems are comprised of storage cabinets and bed frames that rise and descend according to the changing needs of each resident. When a component of the system isn’t in use, it rises and disappears into the ceiling to enlargen the unit’s available living space. Then, when one is needed, the furniture system recognizes voice commands, remote controls, and programmed settings to initiate a component’s descent from the ceiling to the unit’s floor. Crafted from wood, the furniture system brings a touch of comfort to each unit, giving the apartment’s industrial backdrop some organic warmth. Like a robotic housekeeper, Bumblebee’s furniture system also remembers where residents left certain pieces of furniture or smaller belongings so looking for your keys won’t keep you from getting a move on.

The ruthless workers in the viral series, Squid Games, will now adorn the secure corners of our homes, as the security camera keeps us safe – well, a cliche of sorts. The rotating lens positioned right where the eyes of the character would provide a 180-degree view of the surroundings for complete security. The movement is actuated by motion and an audio sensor that sets the camera into action, tracking the movement. Since most security cameras attached to the servers can have access to all the inside activities when not intended by the user, the creators of this concept add a useful feature. To make sure there are no hacking attempts or unauthorized access to the footage, there is a privacy mask that physically blocks the FOV when the camera is not in use.

Modeled as a WALL-E-ish robot with dog-like proportions, the Astro can follow you around the house, respond to your voice commands, allow you to video-chat with friends and family, and even monitor your house while you’re asleep or away, tying in with their Ring video doorbell’s alert services. The robot sports a large screen for a face (with ring-shaped emotive eyes), runs on wheels (so it can’t climb stairs for now), and even comes with two nifty little cup-holders built into its rear so it can carry your water, coffee, soda, or beer around, being an attentive little butler-dog-sentinel that’s designed to be cute and approachable… unless you’re an intruder, of course.

Reminiscent of a Dyson fan, Stelae is a portable home speaker designed to deliver quality audio through a technical build that could be mistaken for a piece of sculptural artwork on your coffee table. While Stelae’s physical build is reminiscent of a Dyson fan’s, the inspiration for Stelae’s distinct form stems from sculpture work. Standing out from other home entertainment systems, Stelae’s speaker plumes from its circular base into the shape of a feather for a slim design that doesn’t take up too much room on the coffee table. The long tube-like portion of Stelae is also lined with four woofers.

Cosie is a siphon coffee maker designed to bring the emotional experience of watching your coffee brew at a cafe into the comfort of your own kitchen. Going to the coffee shop is not only a prerequisite for starting the day, it’s an emotional experience. We look forward to few things like we look forward to our first cup of coffee in the morning. In an attempt to capture that emotional experience and incorporate it into an at-home coffee brewer, the team behind Cosie built their machine with double-layered glass canisters that allow users to watch as their coffee is extracted and brewed. Since Cosie is a siphon machine, the coffee inside the canisters is extracted through steam pressure generated by boiling water, a process that users can watch while brewing their own coffee. The integrated siphon also makes the general upkeep and management of Cosie much easier to keep up with. After spooning in their desired amount of coffee grinds into the machine’s top compartment, users need only fill the main cartridge with water and turn its handle clockwise to kickstart the brewing process.

Designed to look like a slick lucite photo frame, Twelve South’s PowerPic mod has a way of being useful at all times – either as tabletop or bedside decor, or as a gadget that charges your smartphone… because under the photo and the lucite frame sits a Qi-compatible 10W wireless charging module. The concept of a photo-frame wireless charger isn’t entirely new. In fact, the original PowerPic was just that… although it came with a much thicker frame (or bezel if that’s what you want to call it). Although just like tech companies strive to make bezels smaller each year, the PowerPic mod focuses on going absolutely bezel-less, with a clean, minimalist design that still lets you mount photos and charge your phone.

While Riders Gonna Ride is a lifestyle brand whose roots come from mountain biking, Bike Box is a storage solution designed for bikers everywhere– from the mountains to the city streets. Bike Box is modular by design and built from black CDF and beech wood to ensure a versatile, yet durable storage unit. Constructed like a storage unit for a professional locker room, Bike Box’s frame is built from CDF, or Compact Density Fibreboards, a highly compressed material often chosen for its water-resistant and long-lasting nature. The storage found on each Bike Box is made available through a peg and socket system of wooden pegs and accompanying sockets. When customized to hang your bike or orient shelving units, the pegs can be positioned however each bike owner sees fit.

An Automated LEGO Gift-Wrapping Machine: Move Over, Gift Bags

Because wrapping gifts is hard work but building incredibly complicated LEGO machines is a piece of cake, YouTubers TheBrickWall constructed this ‘LEGO Wrapping Factory,’ an automated gift wrapping station built entirely out of LEGO. The machine is capable of scanning a package to determine its dimensions, then cut, wrap and tape the gift in a manner that can only be described as way better than I could ever do.

It’s hard for me to even fathom the amount of ingenuity that goes into a LEGO build like this. I mean I can barely follow the instructions that come with a regular LEGO set, and this doesn’t even come with instructions – you have to figure the whole thing out on your own. For reference, the last time I built a piece of IKEA furniture I had a handful of bolts and an extra leg left over at the end.

Sure, you could build a complicated LEGO machine to do all your gift wrapping for you, or you could wrap presents the same way I’ve been doing for years: kindly asking your mom to do it for you. And if she’s unavailable there’s always plan B: keeping the gift for yourself.

This portable grill looks just like a classic metal toolbox!

I’m assuming there’s a major overlap between people who love grilling in the outdoors, and people who love DIY projects… and this toolkit-shaped BBQ grill is perhaps the coolest gift you could give those people. Designed to look exactly like the archetypal metal toolkit you’d find in your garage or toolshed, the BBQ Toolbox from SuckUK opens up into a nifty outdoor grill with two grilling platforms. a compartment for resting your grilling tools (skewers, spatulas, whatnot) and two racks for storing your spices, herbs, and condiments.

Perfect for a nice alfresco barbecue, the BBQ Toolbox comes in a handy, portable size, and is made entirely from steel and coated with heat-resistant red paint. An 8×15” main grilling area is large enough to serve up a meal for as many as 4 people. The secondary grill serves as a warming rack, letting you keep food like sliders or hot dog buns warm while you grill up patties and sausages. When you’re done with your meal, lift the main grilling platform to discard your coals and give the entire toolbox a quick wipe-down before folding it up and carrying it back home. I’d advise you to store this bad-boy in your kitchen, though… you don’t want to accidentally carry your screwdriver, hammer, and wrench-set to your barbecue!

Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head Egg Cups Are All They’re Cracked Up to Be

Eggs. I love them scrambled, over-easy, in an omelette, on top of a burger, poached, or boiled. And potatoes aren’t too shabby either, but they’re just not as healthy for you as eggs are. Well, now you can enjoy potatoes with your eggs without the added carbs, thanks to these Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head Egg Cups.

Collectible swag maker and gift maker Paladone created these officially-licensed egg cups based on the starchy couple as they appear in Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story series. They’ll give your hard or soft-boiled eggs a fresh new look, and let you play dress-up at the dining table every day. Simply put your egg in those waist-high potato pants, then pop on the hair, ears, and eyeballs (which are all one piece.) Voila! Eggs and potatoes living in perfect harmony.

Warning: Don’t attempt to do the same with a regular Mr. Potato Head toy, or you’ll end up with a mess on your hands as you try to poke the eyes through the eggshell.

Naturally, they’re sold as a set of two, because Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head are inseparable, and they won’t let any old fry gal break them up. You can grab the pair over at Firebox for just $12.99. Now for some reason I am reminded of Humpty Dumpty.
