Smart Stair-Climbing Robot Vacuum with Unmatched Suction Power for Effortless, Comprehensive Multi-Floor Cleaning

Until now, I haven’t encountered a robotic vacuum cleaner capable of climbing stairs. The Migo Ascender stands out as the first of its kind in the world of robotic vacuums and mops. It’s designed to tackle flat surfaces and the challenging terrain of staircases. This capability is due to an innovative mechanical arm structure that allows it to climb stairs effortlessly, a feature unprecedented in conventional robot cleaners. At the core of the Ascender’s performance are its advanced AI algorithms, which guide the device around typical home obstacles while skillfully navigating staircases, ensuring your home is thoroughly cleaned from top to bottom.

If you are impressed by its ability to climb stairs of different heights up to 8.7 inches and its versatility to handle various types such as open-riser, curved, open-riser spiral, and traditional stairs, then brace yourself. That’s not all it can do. What truly impresses me is the square design complemented by motorized omnidirectional wheels, allowing it to move laterally and achieve impeccable edge cleaning. At its base, the device is equipped with a pioneering pivotable brushing system – a first of its kind – which allows the brush to pivot 90 degrees during side-to-side movements. This feature is particularly effective for sweeping up larger debris, such as dog hair, food crumbs, or just plain old dirt that your kids drag in from outside.

With a suction power of 9,700 Pascals (Pa), the Ascender far exceeds the standard range for robotic vacuum cleaners, typically between 500 to 2000 Pa. Few can match this power, even among high-end models boasting greater suction capabilities. The market’s highest suction powers are usually around 2,500 to 5,000 Pa, seen only in the most advanced and premium models. Thus, with its 9,700 Pa suction, the Ascender surpasses conventional standards and sets a new benchmark for robotic vacuum suction power. This promises exceptional cleaning performance, particularly for demanding tasks like deep carpet cleaning and picking up heavier debris.

Whether your home has wooden, carpet, laminated wood, or marble floors, the Ascender is designed to identify and thoroughly clean them. It applies 17N of downward pressure, three times that of a typical vacuum and mopping robot cleaner. It also features a high-speed 4-zone scrubbing system operating 3000 times per minute and an automatic mop lifting feature that raises the mop by 0.79 inches (20 mm) when encountering carpets.

My home spans 4,100 square feet. While the vacuum cleaner might not reach every area, it should be able to clean the entire house in one go. This is largely thanks to its 12000mAh battery. The Ascender’s claim that it can sweep, mop, and climb a grade slope of up to 5,380 square feet (500 square meters) on a single charge is impressive!

Every home has furniture like couches and coffee tables, which can make cleaning underneath them a challenge, whether done manually or with a robotic cleaner. However, the Ascender’s slim and sleek design, at just 3.86 inches in height, allows it to clean under furniture and reach areas that are usually hard to access. This provides a straightforward solution for keeping your home spotless at all levels.

Great ideas always need a bit of intelligence to make them work, especially when it’s about turning a robotic vacuum into something that can ‘see’ and ‘think.’ In my view, the Ascender is a robotic maid navigating through the house. It’s got a sophisticated camera, a super-smart LiDAR for mapping out rooms, and six clever sensors that help it understand every little bit of your space. But the real magic? That’s in its intelligent AI that can zip through tons of calculations in no time, making it more than just a vacuum.

The Ascender app, compatible with Android and iOS devices, simplifies your cleaning routine with the Ascender vacuum. It provides a hassle-free experience by giving you complete control over the device. With the app, you can set restricted areas, schedule cleanups, and even direct the vacuum to specific spots using a virtual joystick. Its 3D mapping feature vividly displays Ascender’s real-time navigation through your home, blending convenience with interactive smart living. Moreover, Ascender is compatible with smart home ecosystems like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing for easy voice commands. The app’s offline functionality ensures that you can command your vacuum even without an internet connection, offering flexibility and the potential to save over $100 on electricity over three years when set to charge only during off-peak hours.

Lastly, the fully enclosed docking and charging station design is desirable as it keeps the vacuum cleaner out of sight. However, this could be a significant safety feature for families with small children. The enclosure is expected to reduce the noise of dust emptying by 10 dB. Furthermore, the dust bag can hold up to 60 days’ worth of cleaning, and its 3.5-liter water tank can last for up to 30 days of mopping. The Ascender’s features, including swapping dirty water for clean water, automatic dust emptying, and hot-air drying, harmoniously coexist.

This Origami Kitchen Tray is the Perfect Example of How Great Design Lies in Simple Details

Most household items we own today are made one of two or three ways. If they’re made from plastic, chances are they’re injection molded… and if they’re metal, they’re either cast or they’re rolled/stamped into a distinct form. These methods end up defining what a product will look like. An injection-molded plastic part will never look as intricate as a 3D-printed mesh part… and a stamped metal utensil will never have the elegance of something like the Snapsys tray set. Designed using a series of strategic Origami-style bends, the Snapsys set of trays and table platforms are deceptively simple to look at, but are engineered and manufactured to perfection. Each item is made from a single 0.8mm sheet of metal that’s been creased, bent, and then anodized. The result is a set of kitchenware that’s incredibly slim, yet just as strong, thanks to the nature of the folds that help provide rigidity.

The Snapsys set of trays and table are ‘Origami-style folding plate’ that have a thickness of 0.8mm (about as much as a credit card).

The Snapsys set comes in three tray styles that double as decorative tabletop platforms for displaying your food. Most trays look terribly run-of-the-mill, but given the Snapsys set’s unique manufacturing technique, this tray collection has no such problem. The trays look defyingly thin, to the point of feeling fragile. They do measure just 0.8mm (about as much as a credit card), but are surprisingly strong thanks to the folding structures that give them the ability to carry well beyond their weight without bending or flexing.

Use as a service tray.

A decorative incense stick tray!

Candle Holder!

The secret lies in the origami-style folds that help strengthen the trays while giving them their rather memorable designs. The fold lines aren’t regular, but instead follow a curve, allowing the metal sheet to bend in a curved way too. This helps strengthen the metal, making it rigid instead of flimsy. You can try the same technique with paper, observing how curved folds help give paper additional stiffness too.

Some trays look conventional, with handles on either side. Others come with legs, elevating your food by an inch or two to help your dishes stand out against a laid-out table. All trays come with anodized color options, allowing you to add a splash of vibrance to your tabletop decor as well as allowing the trays themselves to serve as accent pieces. The anodized finish also makes them durable and corrosion-resistant, increasing their overall lifespan. The tray sets, which come in black, yellow, blue, or a nude silver, start at a discounted $149, which includes three trays – 1 rectangular tray, 1 oval tray, and 1 half-plate tray.

Bluetti AC240 All-Weather Power Station delivers reliable power, rain or shine

More people are discovering the joys of the great outdoors, but they are also learning some of the challenges that come with living off the grid, especially when it comes to the unpredictability of weather. And then there are some outdoor adventures that really expose you to the elements, whether it be on land or especially at sea. During these moments, you need more than just a portable power source that can deliver the necessities and conveniences of modern life. You also need a reliable power source that can weather any storm, almost literally. That’s the kind of power that the new Bluetti AC240 Weatherproof Portable Power Station delivers, keeping up with life’s adventures even when Mother Nature has other ideas.

Designer: Bluetti

Click Here to Buy Now: $1299 $1899 (31% off, use coupon code”yanko240″ to get an additional $100 off). Hurry, deal ends in 48-hours!

Even with all the science and technology at our disposal, changes in weather can throw a wrench in anyone’s plans, especially when those plans happen to involve staying outdoors. Traditional power stations, while extremely useful, might not be a good fit for this situation considering the safety risks involved. That’s where the Bluetti AC240 and its IP65 dust and waterproof rating come in, offering a clean, quiet, safe, versatile, and rugged power source that can withstand the harsh conditions you might find yourself in.

With the AC240’s modular design, it practically is! Stack up B210 expansion batteries and watch your power options multiply.

The Bluetti AC240 is rated IP65, which means it’s certified to withstand the intrusion of dust as well as low-pressure water jets from any angle, but that’s only the tip of the iceberg. The weather-hardened solar generator boasts a variety of patented technologies and safeguards that protect it from the elements, including independent air ducts, sealed electronic compartments, a special drainage system, vacuum-coated fans, and, since they’re always exposed to the outside world, double-layer protected ports. In the event that water does manage to get in, built-in exhaust fans and the heat dissipation system will make sure the water gets out or evaporates quickly before it does any damage.

Whether you’re basking in the sun’s energy with solar panels, plugging into a wall outlet, staying juiced on the move with a car charger, or even tapping into a lead-acid battery or shore power, the AC240 ensures you’re always powered up and good to go.

Of course, the Bluetti AC240 is more than just a large weatherproof box. It’s a portable power station first and foremost, and it does an incredible job at that as well. With an output of 2,400W and a 1,536Wh LiFePO battery, the AC240 can easily power anything from a phone charger to a 20 cubic feet fridge for at least one day. A 3,600W powerlifting mode can even power that hot plat to make sure you get warm meals even when it’s pouring outside your RV. The plethora of charging ports, which include 2 standard AC outlets, 1 NEMA TT-30 port, a car outlet, 2 USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, and a 12V/30A RV port, make sure every electronic machine is supported, even an RV or a boat.

Whether you’re navigating the high seas or driving into the unknown wilderness, the AC240 reliable enough to keep your adventures smooth from start to finish.

If that’s already impressive, then you’ll probably be blown away by what the Bluetti AC240 can do when paired with the B210 expansion battery, which itself is also IP65 weatherproof. Each B210 adds 2,150Wh of power and you can have as many as four packs connected to the AC240 for a whopping 10,135Wh total capacity. And if that weren’t enough, you can link two AC240 using Bluetti’s unique parallel technology with the Parallel Box P480, delivering 4,800W output (without expansion batteries) without doubling the voltage. With this much power and flexibility, including simultaneous connection to the power grid while powering your devices and a responsive 15ms UPS function, the Bluetti AC240 can even provide enough power to your house to weather out a storm.

When it comes to charging the power station itself, the AC240 offers a variety of options, from super-fast 1.1-hour AC charging at 2400W max input (when paired with a B210 expansion battery) to completely green solar charging at 1200W intake in just two hours. Weighing only 72 lbs (33 kg) and almost as big as a microwave, the Bluetti AC240 offers portable, reliable, and durable power that you can take with you anywhere you go, confident that it can handle anything thrown its way, whether by you or by Mother Nature herself.

Designed for watch enthusiasts who also pride themselves in being space nerds, the timepiece celebrates the moon and the hope it represents. The LUNAR1,622 watch itself is an homage to the moon’s surface, with a highly detailed 3D printed dial that wonderfully catches light and shadows to recreate depth. In fact, the 1,622 in the watch’s name is a hat-tip to the moon’s surface gravity. Designed by up-and-coming watch startup INTERSTELLAR (who previously debuted a watch with actual Mars dust), the LUNAR1,622 comes in three variants – a Standard, with a 3 o’clock window that contains a graphic of the iconic footprint on the moon, or the Advanced and Premium variants that swap the graphic for a vial containing certified moon dust collected from a moon meteorite.

Meteorite Moon Dust – Their meteorite, with the ID#NWA11515, was found in 2017 and provided by MSG Meteorites, a British company specialized in certified space rocks and licensed by the IMCA (International Meteorite Collectors Association).

Lunar1,622 Watch with Integrated NASA Logo – The project respects the necessary permissions and aligns with NASA’s guidelines for NASA logo usage.

The bezel features a timeline of all NASA moon missions, with successful landings highlighted in gold, while the Apollo 11 mission details can be found inscribed on the border of the 3 o’clock vial, along with Neil Armstrong’s initials. Shift your gaze further to the outer edge and you’ll spot Armstrong’s legendary quote etched into the dial, right near the crown. Even the caseback features the official NASA meatball logo, a subtle tribute to their unwavering pursuit of lunar knowledge.

LUNAR1,622 commemorates Neil Armstrong’s iconic words, “One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”

On the edge of the dial all the way around it, you’ll find all successful Apollo missions numbered. All missions that landed on the moon are marked in gold.

Commemorating the historic Apollo 11 mission, this timepiece features the mission’s name, date and Neil Armstrong’s initials.

The folks at INTERSTELLAR partnered with renowned timekeeping brand Col&MacArthur to power the watch’s internals. The Standard and Advanced variants house a reputable Japanese-made Miyota 8215 automatic movement on the inside, while the Premium edition packs a Swiss-made Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement. The Premium variant also upgrades the watch case to cutting-edge titanium (as opposed to the standard 316L steel), complete with gold-plated hands to give the watch a distinctly elevated style. An integrated NFC chip also allows you to tap your Premium LUNAR1,622 wristwatch to your phone, instantly pulling up the watch’s details and story – a feature that’s sure to impress people even further after you tell them your watch contains actual moon dust!

If the idea of wearing a piece of the cosmos on your wrist excites you, the LUNAR1,622 is available right now and ships globally. The Standard variant goes for $449, while a YD-special discounted price of $599 gets you upgraded to the Advanced variant with the vial of lunar dust. The Premium variant with the Swiss movement, Titanium body, and built-in NFC chip boasts a price tag of $1049.

It’s a sort of hilarious coincidence that our timekeeping journey started with sundials and ends in 2024 with moon-watches. With a vial containing actual certified moon dust, the LUNAR1,622 pays tribute to the Apollo 11 mission and not too soon! As NASA prepares to send Artemis III with humans back to the moon, the watch aptly ushers in our new era of space travel! Move over LEGO… These human-shaped bricks plug in together to showcase the power of unity

The idea of LEGO sparked from bricks, the concept of Minecraft sparked from pixels – but the Souper Connect has a much stronger metaphorical background. You see, each individual Souper brick is shaped like a human with a hole in them, and a single human brick can’t stand on its own. However, fill that hole with another human brick and the two can stand together. Build on this concept and you create a self-standing self-sustaining community, reflecting the power of human connectivity and the indomitable spirit of a healthy family or society. The cleverly designed bricks aren’t just great to play with, they’re also an overall lesson that we’re stronger together than we are alone. Quite a brilliant metaphor for what’s essentially just a set of building blocks, right?!

Created by visionary designer Peter Minsoub Sim, Souper Connect brings a new dimension to building blocks. The bricks are both the characters as well as the individual blocks, making them an incredibly creative toy for children as well as for adults. They’re a great way to stay entertained, learn valuable social and moral lessons, and the fact that all the Souper Connects are different colors just teaches an incredibly powerful aspect of human society – that people are different but they can still come together to build and grow.

“These blocks offer a minimal and identifiable form that inspires imaginative play, collaboration, and with enough pieces can bring out the building engineer in any of us,” says Sim, who co-founded Souper Studio – the company behind the Souper Connect blocks. Each block is shaped like an abstract human, with two arms, two legs, a slight stub for a head, and a hole running through the chest. Two ‘humans’ can be connected simply by plugging an arm into the chest hole, bringing them closer together, but also giving you the ability to make complex shapes and forms. The overall gist is no different from LEGO, and you can use Souper humans to make a variety of shapes from towers and bridges to crowns. However, there’s also a unique fidget quality to the human bricks too, and they make rather decorative pendants for necklaces or bracelets.

Each Souper Connect is 1.9 inches tall, 2.4 inches wide, and 0.8 inches thick, making them incredibly safe around younger children too. The human bricks are molded from polypropylene plastic, making them incredibly durable and long-lasting, although there’s the ability to get them in aluminum too, sort of as a more premium toy for collectors. The bricks come in either a single unit as a keychain (or double if you choose the aluminum variant), or in playable sets of 12, 36, and 72, featuring an entire colorful bunch of Souper humans that you can bring together to create the utopia of your dreams! The Souper Connect is available at a special early bird discount on Kickstarter using the link below.
