Refined Kitchen Elegance Meets Precision in Top-Tier Meat Slicing Scissors

When thinking of cutting up food, especially meats, most of us will probably think of very sharp and sometimes large knives, from chef’s knives to steak knives. While those are indeed the most common tools, they’re not always the most efficient. Chef’s shears or kitchen scissors are just as useful for cutting up not just meats but also any kind of ingredient. But just like their stationery counterparts, these kitchen tools are often made following a common design, easy to manufacture but not exactly the easiest to use. Fortunately, all it takes is some creative thinking and a deep connection to traditional craftsmanship to design a pair of kitchen shears that are not only a pleasure to hold but also a pleasure to behold.

Cutting up meat using scissors is admittedly not a common practice except for kitchen veterans, but not because it’s that useful. The reason is mostly because of convenience and effort when common kitchen scissors are not cut out for the job, pun totally intended. The common kitchen shears are pretty much just bigger, sharper, and edgier versions of your desk scissors, and not much more. They can cut through some meats, sure, but they don’t always make for an enjoyable experience, especially when the tool starts to get dull and look worn.

The Precision Chef Kitchen Scissors easily set itself apart not just with their looks but also with their performance. It is filled with design details that, at first glance, might look simply aesthetic but are actually carefully thought out to improve the tool’s usability. For example, the serrated cutting edge and curved blade are not just for show, though they definitely make the scissors look more interesting. They make it easier to slide the scissors under what you’re cutting and also prevent the material from sliding out accidentally.

The design of the hinge is also unique, larger than what you’d find even on most kitchen scissors. Because it is fully covered, however, it doesn’t get dirty as easily as other hinges. Along with the thick handles, these kitchen shears lie a bit elevated when placed horizontally on a table, creating a more hygienic design that prevents the blades from coming in contact with the surface. You can also make the scissors stand vertically and it will stay balanced and raise the blades away from the table’s surface. Whichever way you place it, the scissors remain easy to pick up, ready for your next food snip.

It doesn’t hurt that the mighty shears are handsome to boot. Made in Tsubame Sanjo, Niigata, Japan, the scissors take advantage of the region’s world-renowned expertise in metalwork and cutlery to craft such a fine specimen of a kitchen tool. The oxidation coloring method used to give the stainless steel body a distinct black luster also makes it impervious to discoloration after long periods of use. The oxide film even causes light to be reflected in different ways, creating the illusion of colors that add to the scissors’ charm. Whether you’re cutting meat for cooking, cutting chives for garnishing, or even cutting pizza to divide among yourselves, these elegant kitchen scissors promise to deliver a less stressful experience that also makes you look good in the process.

This Gorgeous Coffee Advent Calendar gives you 24 Unique Blends to count down days till Christmas

A calendar that looks AND tastes great!

For the uninitiated, Advent Calendars aren’t your standard calendars. Rather than chronicling the 365 days into 12 months, Advent Calendars have just one simple purpose – to count down the days till Christmas. The calendar became somewhat of a tradition in the 1850s, with 24 different flaps that had Bible verses that you’d read every day up until Christmas Day on the 25th of December. In modern times, the calendar has become more of a gifting ritual, with brands creating tiny calendars with products/gifts for each day. This year, the folks at Onyx Coffee Lab decided to make a calendar that quite literally gets you ‘charged up’ for Christmas. The 2023 Coffee Advent Calendar comes in a gorgeous box that opens up to reveal an entire spread of coffee. The box itself is decorated beautifully with gold foil, and creates a wonderful fanned presentation of coffee sachets when opened. I imagine once you’re done drinking all that coffee, it would make for an incredible book or magazine holder!

While Onyx delights practically every year with its gorgeous advent calendars, this year’s packaging exudes elegance and is designed to leave a lasting impression. The box’s exterior is adorned with stunning seasonal illustrations, enhanced with gold foil treatments. Upon opening the box, you’ll discover an accordion-style collection box revealing 24 individually wrapped bags of coffee. Foldable ham stand lets you save space in your kitchen

If you live in a part of the world where ham is already served to you sliced and you don’t mind that, then having a ham stand as a kitchen staple might be strange to you. But there are also some parts of the world, particularly in Europe, where it’s pretty common to have that as a fixture in family gatherings, parties, or maybe even just daily life for those who really love this kind of cured meat. Most of those available in the market however are pretty bulky so they need to make space in their kitchen for it.

Designer: Francesc Vilaro

Spain is one of the countries that take their ham “seriously” and a Barcelona-based designer has come up with a solution to the space issue for the ham stand. What he designed was a folding ham stand called Jamonero that serves its main purpose which is to hold your ham while you slice it. When you don’t need it though, it can be folded and tucked into a drawer to save space for other kitchen accessories which you may need at the moment. It’s a small design adjustment to a simple accessory but it is pretty useful especially when you don’t have that big of a kitchen or a dining table.

The foldable ham stand is made of FSC certified beech wood and stainless steel. When you need to use it to hold your ham, the arm folds out and is held in place with a bolt. There is also an anti-slip feature that should keep the holder (and the ham) in place at your table or the counter and make it easier for you to cut and serve the meat. It’s also pretty easy to clean it, either with just a cloth or with water directly. There are two “variants” of the Jamonero, a smaller one for ham that weighs 5-7 kilos and a bigger one for the 7-9 kilos of ham.

It’s little tweaks for accessories like this that make a ll the difference for something as simple as a ham holder. Each piece that they’re selling (from Spanish kitchenware brand Lodivi) was designed and produced in Barcelona so there’s also a local thing going on there. So if you regularly buy legs of ham for your gatherings or regular meals, this is something you might want to have if you also want to be able to put it away in the drawer when you’re not using it.

Find Your Therapy in Home Farming and Consuming Your Own Produce

In today’s fast-paced world, where life is often synonymous with perpetual motion, the desire to reconnect with nature and savor the fruits of one’s labor is stronger than ever. The concept of home farming, often romanticized for its therapeutic qualities and the satisfaction of producing your food, appeals to many. However, the hurdles of time and resources have long kept this dream at bay for most. But with Regrow, a groundbreaking innovation, the dream of home farming has been brought closer to reality.

Designer: Haneul kim (Designer dot)

Regrow offers a revolutionary experience for those who are intrigued by the idea of home farming but find it challenging to manage the daily responsibilities and investments it typically demands. This innovative system automatically transforms food scraps into fertile soil and showcases your bountiful crops, all while providing a rewarding, environmentally friendly hobby.

In a society where people yearn for the soothing embrace of home farming, the daily grind often obstructs their path. The daily chores of tending to plants, adjusting soil, and monitoring water levels according to the seasons can be burdensome. It’s no wonder that around 60% of those who initially embark on the journey of home farming give up, with the top two reasons being difficulty managing time and the cost of supplies.

Regrow, recognizing the unique place it occupies in the kitchen, draws inspiration from various kitchen appliances. It brings a new dimension to the concept of home farming. With Regrow, users no longer have to fret over the time constraints of home farming in their busy lives. Instead, they can efficiently care for their plants with an array of features designed for convenient operation.

gif 1

The soil used for cultivating edible plants is primarily recycled compost from food processors. The snug fit of the lid and body keeps unwanted odors from escaping, while the powerful rotation function effectively processes various food scraps. This synergy of recycling and sustainability sets Regrow apart.

Regrow is designed to be user-friendly with just five simple buttons. Users can schedule tasks via the dedicated mobile application for quick use or even operate it remotely. The glass door on the front can be easily opened for harvesting edible plants, making the whole process incredibly convenient.

gif 2

One of Regrow’s unique features is its hole bottoms, which facilitate the flow of soil and compost. The compost generated by the top food processor automatically moves to the bottom through a rotary grinder. If users prefer to use water instead of compost, they can open the top lid to add water. This combination of features ensures that users can effortlessly maintain their edible plants, promoting their health and sustainability with minimal effort.

Regrow incorporates a bottom LED bar that provides users with invaluable insights into the needs of their edible plants. It changes color to indicate when watering is required, when soil adjustments are necessary when it’s time to clean food waste, or when the system is circulating. This intuitive feedback mechanism ensures that users can take timely and appropriate actions to ensure their plants thrive, enhancing the overall home farming experience.

In conclusion, Regrow offers an all-in-one solution to the common barriers of home farming, making it accessible and enjoyable for everyone. With its innovative technology, sustainable practices, and user-friendly design, it not only simplifies the process of home farming but also promotes a greener, more self-sufficient lifestyle. Regrow brings the joy and fulfillment of home farming within the reach of all, revolutionizing the way we connect with the earth and harvest the goodness it provides.

This non-toxic Dutch Oven helps you craft culinary masterpieces with ease and confidence

Cooking should be an enjoyable and satisfying activity, and while that might be the case for some, it isn’t always true for everyone. Some deplore the multiple steps involved, especially when it comes to cleaning up the mess afterward. Others are also wary of cookware options available, not just in terms of design or performance but especially when the safety and cleanliness of cooking equipment are concerned, which affect both the taste and safety of the food. Not all cookware puts this feature as a priority, focusing more on convenience or appearances at the expense of people’s health. Fortunately, there are exceptions to the rule, and this do-it-all Dutch Oven brings safety, convenience, and taste together in one uncompromising cooking tool.

It’s too easy to take for granted how the kind of pot or pan we cook our food in can actually affect the quality of the dish. Some pans might not heat evenly, for example, while others have a coating that could change the taste of the food in some manner. Worse, however, is how toxins for metals or their coating might be released into the food thanks to the heat, poisoning it and your body little by little. This kind of safety isn’t always at the top of manufacturers’ lists, but the Hesselbach Dutch Oven actually makes it its number one priority.

PuraSteel™ – PuraSteel™ combines the heat retention of cast iron with the rust-free resilience of stainless steel—all while being non-toxic.

PuraCotta™ – Offers a non-toxic, non-stick surface that enhances the flavor of your food.

The pot is made from a proprietary PuraSteel material and coated with PuraCotta to deliver the same kind of durability and performance you’d expect from similar cookware, but with the dangers of toxins and poisons that can be found in heavy metals like iron as well as by-products from hard anodization. Even the lid doesn’t have a screw for the handle, ensuring that no rust will ever fall on your delicious dish. With this focus on safety, you can cook to your heart’s content, knowing that you and your loved ones will be eating scrumptious and clean meals every time.

The Hesselbach Dutch Oven’s special materials also means that it has exceptional heat retention, ensuring that the pot heats up quickly, spreads evenly, and keeps a consistent temperature for long periods of time. This makes the Dutch Oven great for searing and frying, and it can keep the food warm longer even after you’ve removed it from the stove. And because food is cooked more evenly, food naturally tastes better, especially when there’s meat involved.

Of course, these aren’t the only feats that this exceptional Dutch Oven is capable of. Whether you’re simmering or baking, its unparalleled heat distribution makes sure that no part is undercooked or overcooked. With its versatile performance, you can switch from flame to oven to induction without missing a beat. And when the cooking and the eating are finally done, the ultra-pure ceramic surface makes it easier while using less soap. And, yes, you can even put it inside a dishwasher for an even more effortless time.

Hesslebach Founder – Driven by love and necessity, HK Kim channeled his mastery of metals into pioneering a culinary revolution for health.

This non-toxic Dutch Oven isn’t just a safe and versatile piece of cookware, it’s also quite the looker, too! With a modern and sophisticated design, you can start serving directly from the pot, making it the centerpiece of your dining experience. With its uncompromising safety, exceptional performance, and elegant aesthetics, the Hesslebach Dutch Oven promises a safer and cleaner cooking experience so that you can enjoy making the dishes you love to share and eat with the people you love.
