This Travel-Friendly Coffee Grinder is compact enough to travel everywhere with you

It’s a no-brainer that fresh ingredients lead to fresher-tasting food. Whether it’s a salad or a cup of coffee, the ingredients do play a role in overall flavor… but not everyone has access to fresh iceberg lettuce, and not everyone has the time/energy to freshly grind their coffee every morning. It’s common to err on the side of convenience and I’ll admit to drinking instant coffee when I’m in a rush, or when I’m traveling but the folks at Goudveer have a handy solution. The Goudveer F1 casually combines freshness and convenience together, ensuring that you don’t need to compromise on what might just be the first ritual of your day. The F1 is a portable, sleek, wireless coffee grinder that works both automatically as well as manually. With industrial-grade conical burrs and a motor that offers 100 grind settings, the Goudveer F1 gives you access to fresh coffee whether you’re at home, camping in the woods, or even at a minimally-stocked AirBnb in Osaka. The grinder comes with a built-in fold-out collection tray, and lets you hot-swap a motor for one-button electric grinding, or a hand-crank for a more ritualistic hands-on grinding experience. The best part? It’s practically the size of a small thermos, fitting into bags, backpacks, suitcases, or even your tiny apartment kitchen drawer.

Designed in Norway, the Goudveer F1 has all the hallmarks of Scandinavian minimalism, with a simple-yet-sophisticated vertical cylindrical form factor. A faceted outer body with an anodized golden finish reflects light beautifully, while a fold-out clear container collects the coffee grinds, sort of like an inverted spice grinder. The vertical design ensures that all the coffee falls to the bottom, so you don’t need to smack the grinder around to get all the coffee out. Once done, the container slides telescopically back into the grinder, allowing it to have that tiny form factor that makes it such a travel-friendly pick.

The Goudveer F1 grinds at a speed of 1 gram per second, giving you enough for a double-shot of espresso in 15 seconds.

You can alternate between motorized or hand-cranked versions, letting you choose exactly how involved you want to be in the coffee-making process. Adding the motor gives the grinder more height, so we recommend keeping it when you want a quick, good coffee, or switching to the manual mode for travel. To keep things compact, the motor gets replaced with a simple hand-crank when used in manual mode. Rotate the handle and your coffee grinds through, effectively turning into a coarse or fine powder at the speed you like. Once you’re done, a quick rinse and dry should be fine, or if you want to place the F1 in your dishwasher, just remember to remove the motor before you do.

The patented motor and burr drive work efficiently at just 60 decibels

With 100 precise settings to choose from, the Goudveer F1 lets you fine-tune your grind, keeping it coarse for a French press or pour-over, or go superfine for an espresso machine or Turkish-style Cezve. 48mm five-star conical burrs made from high-quality stainless steel let you control your grind in increments of 0.018 mm or 18 microns (for reference, a human hair is 70 microns thick), giving you barista-level consistency. The 120W motor works with the tap of a single button, operating at a fairly quiet 60dB volume and grinding at speeds of 1 gram per second so you’ve got a 15-gram yield in just 15 seconds. The motor is powered by a battery that lasts for 35-50 grinds on a full charge, and charges via USB-C. An auto-stop feature kicks in if something (like a large coffee chunk or a loose staple pin) gets stuck in the burrs, preventing damage.

Charge it with a USB-C charger or even a power bank!

The Goudveer F1 ticks all the right boxes, from its compact size to its durable build, adaptable design, fast-yet-quiet motor, and ultimately its $89 price point which only includes the motorized variant. If you want both motorized and handheld options, a discounted $99 price tag fetches you an adaptable version of the world’s smallest pro-level electric coffee grinder.

This Colored Glass Holder With Its Refillable Candle Is The Prettiest Last-Minute Christmas Present

Christmas is right around the corner, and if you’re looking for a wonderful last-minute present, then we may be able to help you out. Italian architect Cristina Celestino designed an ethereal-looking colored glass candle holder for Diptyque’s first refillable candle. The holder features the brand’s signature oval shape and was created as a part of the Les Mondes de Diptyque collection. The stunning candle holder was created “to achieve a monolithic volume while maintaining a soft, tactile quality”.

Designer: Cristina Celestino for Diptyque

Designed as the brand’s first refillable candle, the candle can be utilized multiple times owing to the various replacement oval blocks that can perfectly fit into the holder’s glass form. The candle took almost three years to produce, as they needed to be sure that the wax would burn properly and evenly in the oval shape, and could be swiftly replaced if needed.

“It [pressed glass] is the most suitable for creating a compact object with highly precise and significant details, all while maintaining quality standards,” said Celestino. “I’ve always had a deep affinity for glass and consistently experimented with it in crafting small objects like flower vases and, in the case of my brand Attico Design, candle holders.”

The candle holder is made up of a trio of glass rings that have been stacked on top of each other, which makes a lovely reference to Diptyque’s three founders, and “subtly pays homage to their fruitful creative union”. It was built using a pressed glass technique which is also called molded glass – a process utilized to create intricately designed and detailed glassware. The method includes placing molten glass into a mold and then pressing the glass to the shape of choice via a plunger or pneumatic device.

The glass candle holder was designed to elevate the mood of a room, completely enhancing its ambiance, and adding a seductive charm to it. The colored holders come in shades of – blue, red, green, grey, and orange. They can be refilled with any of the five scented wax candles, that were created after drawing inspiration from five locations around the world – Nymphées Merveilles (Milan), La Forêt Rêve (Mexico), Temple des Mousses (Kyoto), La Vallée du Temps (China) and Terres Blondes (Colorado).

Industrial design influenced music player impresses with transparent body shell

For audiophiles the craving to hear the smallest little detail can lead to purchases that otherwise might seem pointless to normal music listeners. In times dominated by wireless audio solutions, a wired solution seems pre-historic but it does deliver superior audio. That’s why you can still find enthusiasts yearning for Sony, Shanling, FiiO, Astell & Kern or iBasso.

This Cyberpunkish MP3 music player concept is designed for geeky audio listeners who love to own gadgets that are a league apart. The transparent aesthetics expose all the hardware inside, letting you connect with the intricacies of the micro equipment like none other. This holds merit in a space where all the high-resolution MP3 players follow a predictable design language.

Designer: Alex Casabò

The interface of the music player induces elements of the famous Winamp player that ruled every geeks personal computer way back in the late 2000s. That’s mixed perfectly with the diffused amber LED lighting reminiscent of the Cyberpunk world. Use of metal inserts in X-shape to the bottom front section enhance its industrial appeal. While the designer doesn’t detail-in about the reinsertable part on the top behind the screen, I assume it’s the memory storage that can be connected to your PC for easy data transfer.

The Device is functional with a pair of AA batteries or can be charged up with the USB-C connector. To ensure seamless connectivity with you DAC’s or other audio equipment, there are ports on the left side. The whole design bears a raw industrial look – right from the menu buttons to the volume toggle buttons. There’s no clarity about the audio formats supported by the gadget – all we know is it atleast comes with plug-and-play MP3 support.

This TV Trolley installed with a 55-inch screen is perhaps the most effective room divider

Open floor plan is not just a dominant architectural trend in offices and tiny house, it is one of the most interesting trends in residential construction as well. As the name suggests, this type of home layout comprises one large open room that caters to functions of multiple rooms. In general, the “great room” as this segmentation is referred to, includes the living room, dining, and kitchen in a common shared floor space.

There are many advantages of such a layout, but it minimizes privacy. Therefore, the use of room dividers is hugely popular among homeowners residing out of such residential floor plans to create a division for privacy. These dividers largely – made of wood – serve a visually appealing dual function of bookshelves. Now Trolley, wants to add another segment to this functionality.

Designers: Hongseok Seo, S2Victor Design Studio, Haechan Nam and Minkwan Seo

As the name suggests, the Trolley is a unit based on wheels for easy maneuverability. Again, designed with multifunctionality in mind, the designers have tried to create this room divider with a TV screen on one side and shelves: for books and décor items, on the other side. Interestingly, there is another shelf extending the width of the contraption in the base.

Designed to fit any home space without disturbing its aesthetics, the Trolley houses a 55-inch slim display and on the flip, side has storage for accessories such as the remote, game controller, and set top box, et al. Though it is difficult to decipher whether the display is built-in or you can have your own existing TV set installed into it, we do know that it is highly portable.

To that accord, the designers have made the Trolley in two parts, the base which separates from the TV section and the two can be used standalone or as one unit, by assembling the two back together. Trolley is constructed from premium metal and finished in matte bluish-grey hue. Save yourself the effort of purchasing a separate TV stand, or mounting the set on the wall, with the Trolley, you can isolate your living area from the dining/study with minimum fuss.

We may not pay attention to our bathrooms very often, but the truth is they’re the little alcoves we spend a substantial amount of our time in, carrying out our personal activities. It’s probably the only time we’re ever truly alone, and bathrooms are like our own personal zones. Hence amping up our bathroom with the correct accessories and products is quite important. These accessories can make a huge difference in our everyday bathroom experience, and we’ve curated a collection of unique and useful accessories for you. From a bath bot by Lush to high-quality Japanese towels – these are the accessories you need for the ultimate bathtime.

1. The Bath Bot

Designed by Lush, the Bath Bot is designed to be your very own “digital bath bomb”, that will provide you with a “custom light, sound, and color experience” every time you take a bath.

Why is it noteworthy?

It’s the same size and shape as their bath bombs but is a water-proof speaker that you can put in the bathtub with you or on the sink near your shower if you don’t have a bathtub.

What we like

  • It offers a 180-degree sound show so you can play your favorite music audiobook or podcast while enjoying a bath

What we dislike

  • It’s not yet available yet, so we hope the product will live up to its description

2. Smart Bathtub

Cloudandco Design Studio created a Smart Bathtub, which has been specifically customized to provide comfort and automated relaxation. The bathtub doesn’t simply offer a bath, but it also gives a personalized massage experience.

Why is it noteworthy?

The personalized massage experience is learned from the user’s preferences over time. This ensures that bath time is a perfectly tailored and blissful activity for you!

What we like

  • The embedded artificial intelligence ensures that specific areas of your discomfort are addressed

What we dislike

  • Not everyone may be comfortable having AI integrated into their personal bath routine

3. Japarcana Imabari Towels

The Japarcana Imabari towels are a delicate and premium-quality solution to the annoying problem of finding A-grade towels at a reasonable and economical price.

Why is it noteworthy?

Simple and time-proven weaving techniques, high-quality cotton, and strict quality standards all come together to create a towel with excellent water absorption, soft texture, and long-lasting durability.

What we like

  • Uses an ukiyo-e illustration depicting traditional Japanese baths, indicating the towel’s primary function
  • Pretty economical and well-priced compared to other premium towels on the market

What we dislike

4. The Kohler Sprig Shower Infusion System

The Kohler Sprig Shower Infusion System retrofits into your existing shower with ease, diffusing aromatherapy into the water, and creating a relaxing and comforting bathing experience for you.

Why is it noteworthy?

Kohler is building on this system with a range of pods that offer a variety of fragrances like eucalyptus, chamomile, rose, lavender, and lemongrass, along with minerals and ingredients that are supposedly good for your skin, like hyaluronic acid and sodium.

What we like

  • The pods utilize paraben-, phthalate-, and cruelty-free ingredients

  • Can be folded, so users can wear it with ease and comfortably

What we dislike

  • We’re not fully aware of any side effects the mask could have on the skin

7. MYCO-ALGA

If you’re in the mood to redesign your bathroom, then you may want to consider the MYCO-ALGA interior tiling system, which is made from natural and organic waste, that has been upcycled together with actual living organisms.

Why is it noteworthy?

There are different sustainable processes involved in coming up with this including designing them digitally, 3D printing, growing the organisms, enriching them with bio-pigments, fabrication, etc. It begins with the waste materials being ground into a paste-like substrate as a foundation.

What we like

  • Strong and rigid yet lightweight
  • 100% sustainable

What we dislike

  • May not complement bathrooms with modern interiors

8. Tiles Weight Scale

Called the Tiles Weight Scale, this bathroom scale is quite literally bathroom-inspired. It features a glossy, tiled design and would fit well with modern contemporary bathrooms.

Why is it noteworthy?

The Tiles Weight Scale looks like a panel of your quintessential ceramic bathroom tiles. They aren’t made from ceramic, which means they aren’t slippery, and the white panel has an LED display that shines through the material, activating the moment you stand on it.

What we like

  • Blends right into the bathroom’s decor when not in use

What we dislike

  • It’s a concept currently, so we’re not sure how well it would translate to a real tangible product

9. one&done

With the one&done, the designer integrates and combines a toothbrush and a candy dispenser. Inspired by a PEZ dispenser, the toothbrush features a convenient little storage space to hold toothpaste tablets, completely eliminating the need for toothpaste tubes.

Why is it noteworthy?

This allows you to carry your toothbrush and toothpaste in one compact form and prevents the mess that ensues with carrying and dealing with a tube of toothpaste.

What we like

  • Ensures that you use the right amount of toothpaste every day, something that isn’t easily achieved when you’re squeezing paste out of a tube

What we dislike

  • The toothbrush is pretty thick and may be difficult to brush with and carry out different motions to clean your teeth

10. Face à face

Italian bathroom brand Agape teamed up with French architect Jean Nouvel to create this beautiful collection of sinks and baths. The name Face à face is derived from the dual meaning of the word ‘face’ in French.

Why is it noteworthy?

The collection essentially consists of a stunning sink and a bathtub. Both products have a pretty angular feel to them and are highlighted by upright slabs of marble, as well as a tilted backrest in the tub.

What we like

  • The collection truly celebrates the beauty of marble
  • Comes in various versions to choose from

What we dislike

  • Space-consuming designs that are better suited for larger bathrooms

These 100% American-made sporty timepieces pay a grand tribute to racing legends like McQueen

“In an era where conformity and generic designs dominate, something has been lost,” say the folks at Hilts Watches. “Charisma and sophistication have become rare, leaving a longing for those iconic styles of the past.” There’s definitely some truth to looking at the past through rose-tinted glasses, but then again, we’ll probably never get to relive an era with another Steve McQueen, another “Dickie” Atwood, or Dan Gurney. I remember reading about a 19-year-old who recently broke Arnold Schwarzenegger’s bodybuilding record and my instant gut reaction was to say, “There’s never going to be another Arnold”. Celebrating this glorious (some may say Golden) past, Hilts’ latest watches take inspiration from the modern-day kings who ruled our lives by ruling the tarmac and even the silver screen. With a gorgeously sporty design featuring two sub-dials and a retro aesthetic that stands out in today’s smartwatch-dominated world, Hilts’ chronographs are made in the good ol’ US of A using premium materials you’d find in haute Swiss timepieces.

The Hilts Monaco ’29 Watch

The Hilts Atwood Watch

The Hilts Precision Chronograph has all the hallmarks of a good racing watch. With a speedometer-esque design featuring two sub-dials, a date-window, and even a tachymeter, the watch is an instant modern classic. The dial, complete with highly visible markings (coated in Swiss Superluminova no less) and a sporty arrow-shaped seconds hand, sits within a 316L stainless steel body, covered with scratch-resistant anti-reflective domed sapphire crystal. Two pushers sit on either side of the crown on the watch’s right side, while the left showcases a beautiful diamond engraving pattern. The inside features a Miyota Quartz movement encased within a screw-down case-back that gives the watch 100 meters (330 feet) of water resistance.

The diamond-textured side is accompanied by two pusher buttons and a Hilts logo-branded custom crown.

The watches come in four styles, named after iconic drivers and some of their most memorable races. The first watch, the Atwood, pays tribute to racer Richard Atwood who started out as an apprentice at Jaguar but carved his way into popular culture by winning the 1970 24-hour Le Mans and even acting in McQueen’s film by the same name. It sports a panda-themed colorway, with the judicious use of orange and blue, inspired by the the 917 seen in the Le Mans movie. The Speedway variant offers a reverse-panda aesthetic, named after, and inspired by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the former home of the USA Grand Prix and the current venue for the Indy 500.

The Gurney celebrates racing legend Dan Gurney, the first driver to win races in Sports Cars, Formula 1, NASCAR and IndyCar, with a rich midnight blue dial that borrows from his F1 Mk1 racecar’s paint-job. Fun fact, Gurney is credited with beginning the tradition of spraying champagne on the winner’s podium back in 1967, something that still happens to this day! The last Hilts variant takes us to Europe with the Monaco ’29 in British racing green. The racing green color dates back to the early 20th century when the speed limit was a staggering 12 mph! It traces its roots back to the Emerald Isle in Ireland, where the races were held by the Brits, and was first featured on the international stage at the Monaco GP of 1929.

The watches come with three strap options, ranging from a stainless steel bracelet to dotted bio-leather or even rubber (if you’re a sports and diving enthusiast). Limited to just 1000 pieces per model, each Hilts Precision Chronograph comes uniquely serial-marked, assembled in USA, and ships in a gorgeous hardwood box that gives it instant collector-status.

An Inflatable Lamp That Adds A Pop Of Color To Any Room

In the realm of design, creativity often finds inspiration in the most unexpected places. The SQUEEZE lamp stands as a testament to this philosophy, pushing the boundaries of conventional lighting by embracing air as a central design principle.

Designer: Eva Ausmann

SQUEEZE is not just a lamp; it’s a whimsical exploration of form and function. Crafted from TPU-coated nylon, the lamp embodies a harmonious fusion of material innovation and aesthetic appeal. The choice of materials ensures constant air pressure, creating a lightweight yet sturdy structure that is both dynamic and resilient.

One glance at this lamp, and you might mistake it for funky home decor. This inflatable lamp is not just a source of light; it’s a conversation starter, inviting onlookers to marvel at its unique design. The lamp’s agility is owed to welded joints in the TPU-coated nylon, and the material-specific properties of the stretched membrane, allowing it to seamlessly adapt to various environments.

This lamp goes beyond mere aesthetics by integrating practical features into its design. The lamp can be effortlessly attached to the edge of a table through the pressure created between two air cushions at the bottom, demonstrating an ingenious marriage of form and function.

Adding a touch of technological innovation, squeeze features an integrated air pressure sensor to control its light. The sensor reacts to the membrane being pressed, offering a unique and interactive lighting experience. This dynamic control mechanism adds an extra layer of engagement for users, making it not just a luminaire but a tactile experience.

Sustainability takes center stage with this lamp. When deflated and folded flat, the lamp not only becomes incredibly lightweight but also minimizes transportation costs and emissions. In the context of this luminaire project, the use of air as a design element showcases its potential to create resource-saving solutions, replacing traditional material-intensive constructions.

The lamp understands that personal style is diverse, offering the lamp in three different colors. Whether you prefer a subtle elegance, a vibrant pop of color, or a classic hue, Squeeze allows you to tailor your lighting to suit your individual taste and stand out in your interior spaces.

The minimalistic design of this lamp ensures that it seamlessly complements a range of styles – from modern to contemporary and minimal. Its soft geometry, combined with a splash of color, brings a playful yet sophisticated element to any space, making it an ideal choice for those who appreciate simplicity with a touch of flair.

Squeeze definitely stands as a beacon of innovation in the world of lighting design. Through its ingenious use of air as a central design principle, this lamp not only illuminates spaces but also illuminates the possibilities that emerge when creativity and functionality coalesce. It transcends the conventional, offering a unique and captivating addition to any interior.

BeTriton unveils first affordable solution of a boat, camper, and trailer in one to tow behind your e-bike

There are some who conceive an idea, build on it, and sit back and relax on the royalty. Then, there are others who gather feedback and set out to recreate what the people really want. Aigars Lauzis of BeTriton – formally Z-Triton – is from the league of recreators. Thriving on the success of the sustainable adventure partner, BeTriton 2.0 released in Spring 2023, designed for uninterrupted journey on land and water; the adventuring builder is back with a new camper/trailer for your electric bike. This would let you camp on land and water again with equal convenience.

An exciting and practical combination of a boat + camper + trailer, the BeTriton e-bike trailer is not starkly different from what we got with the full-fledged BeTriton 2.0. In fact, it strips down some unnecessary elements – identified on consumer feedback – and retains the cabin to still accommodate two people and a dog. The significant change here is an option for e-bike owners to use their standard bike, instead of an integrated variant, to tow the trailer on land.

Designer: BeTriton

The more affordable and flexible BeTriton trailer also carries on with the most beloved, core functionality: boating, users wanted the company to carry forward with, when the BeTriton 2.0 was rented out during the summer for trails. The flexible towing design allows various e-bike variants to be used as hauling ride for the trailer that was unveiled at the Nexpo Exhibition in Tallinn.

According to the information shared in a YouTube video, the BeTriton Trailer is an affordable and convenient adventure camper and boat. Unbolting four bolts, the users can remove the wheels and get into the super fun electric boating mode. Rear wheels can even fold up on the buoyant floats if you don’t want to make the extra effort. 24-inch wheels are used in the trike contraption of the trailer, which can connect through a simple mechanism to the bike seat post when you are up for the road journey.

The cabin maintains the structural integrity and interiors of the predecessor yet it is highly customizable to give users the tailored convenience for the journey. There is an electronic Lift System for the motor, on the front, and the cabin can be used in open configuration with just the windscreen or covered up with PVC cover to weatherproof the cabin. And when you are riding on an unbeaten path, you can also have an aluminum frame installed for a full cabin look.

There is no information, at the time of writing, about the battery power or range of the BeTriton trailer. What we readily know is the trailer camper can make space to store your foldable electric bike, but if you don’t have a foldable one, the company may soon have a mount so you can carry the bike onboard when you go floating on the water. The initial variant of the e-bike trailer is ready for production with worldwide limited edition delivery expected in the summer of 2024.

SwitchBot K10+ Mini Robot Vacuum cleans narrow, hard-to-reach places with ease

Robot vacuum cleaners are quite the fad these days, offering peace of mind by keeping your floors clean without getting your hands dirty. They come with a wide range of advanced features and a variety of designs, but they all have one thing in common. The majority of robot vacuum cleaners come with very large bodies, often justified by the power they pack inside. Bigger isn’t always better, though, and size can even become a liability rather than an asset when dealing with small, cramped areas or difficult corners. That’s no problem for the world’s smallest robot vacuum cleaner, sneaking into tough corners and narrow paths in order to provide a more efficient cleaning experience in a compact and portable package.

Designer: SwitchBot

Click Here to Buy Now: $399.99 $499.99 (Use coupon code “UP50MRCS” to get $100 off). Hurry, deal ends in 48-hours!

With it’s compact design K10+ can reach smaller spaces to clean better.

The SwitchBot K10+ honestly looks too cute to be true. At only 248mm in diameter and 92mm tall, it’s only half the size of run-of-the-mill robot vacuums and might easily be mistaken for a toy. In fact, you can easily lift it with one hand and carry it upstairs or anywhere, which means you can easily move it to rooms that need cleaning in a snap. Despite that diminutive size, however, the K10+ is no slouch, and it’s exactly thanks to its size that it is able to offer more for less.

K10+ features a design that can blend in with any home, making it even less intrusive.

LiDAR Navigation.
K10+ allows you to achieve AI level precise mapping and quickly plan cleaning range at a speed of 2080 pts/sec.

K10+ returns to its base station for charging when battery is low, and returns to the last place it cleaned to finish up.

With its smaller diameter, the SwitchBot K10+ can easily navigate narrower spaces without breaking a sweat, deftly reaching the floor between the wall and a closet, underneath the couch, or in between the legs of a side table. Because it’s able to clean areas that most robot vacuums steer clear of, it offers 90% more coverage and significantly increases its cleaning efficiency. Of course, it’s not enough to simply be able to roll where no robot vacuum cleaner has gone before, and this little wonder surprisingly packs quite the assortment of cleaning features that puts it on par with its larger rivals.

Use the app to control the K10+

You might be surprised that the smallest robot vac actually boasts a suction power of 2500Pa, which means that even kitty litter and small pieces of food are no match for this wonder of technology. Even with that much action going on, it is able to keep quiet while it does its job, down to 50dB or 50% quieter than the industry average. It can also mop the floors after it has sucked them clean, and the disposable cleaning pads free you from the hassles and risks of dealing with dirty mops after each cleaning session. Best of all, the large 4-liter dustbin can collect dirt for up to 70 days before you need to take out the trash.
