Ultimate 140W GaN Travel Adapter gives you Power to Charge All Your Devices Anywhere You Go

It’s 2024, and if you’re still carrying multiple plugs, charging cables, and a travel adapter every time you visit a different country, you’re living an incomplete life. Chargers have evolved over the years, charging bricks have become slimmer and more powerful, and something as simple as the SWIFT PRO can technically charge your phone, tablet, laptop, handheld gaming device, and AirPods together at the same time, anywhere in the world. The world’s only travel adapter running on 4th-gen GaN technology, the SWIFT PRO offers a staggering 140W of power that can charge multiple devices at the same time. That amount of power is enough to even fast-charge all your devices together, so you’re never waiting hours to get your iPad or smartphone fully charged. Moreover, it works internationally, and is the same size as your regular travel adapter, eliminating the need to travel with multiple charging bricks… or even work from home with a cluttered power strip and multiple plugs and wires strewn across your desk.

The iBlockCube SWIFT PRO may look like your average travel adapter, but it’s also an all-in-one charging solution. Designed with a multi-plug framework that lets it work with different socket types across multiple countries, the SWIFT PRO slides right into your backpack or travel bag, going everywhere you go. In fact, it’s good enough to use at home too, helping you charge multiple devices together. Like any traditional travel adapter, it has switches on the side that let you deploy the plug type depending on what country you are in. It has a universal AC outlet too, allowing you to plug in appliances, chargers, or other devices, but look to its bottom and you’ll see three USB-C ports for connecting devices and gadgets directly to the SWIFT PRO. A USB-A port on the side gives you the ability to hook yet another device, allowing you to plug a total of 5 gadgets at the same time.

The reason the SWIFT PRO can handle 5 concurrent gadgets is thanks to 4th gen GaN technology. A replacement for silicon carbide, GaN has much better power efficiency as a semiconductor material, helping deliver energy without heat loss. This means more powerful, and thinner charging blocks. The SWIFT PRO has an overall output of 140W, which makes it powerful enough to simultaneously fast-charge your laptop, phone, AND a tablet – something that clunky chargers couldn’t do 10 years ago.

This effectively translates to being able to travel light. All you need is the SWIFT PRO along with a few cables for your devices. The plug on the front can be used for a hairdryer or charging your electric razor while traveling, while the USB-C and USB-A ports on the bottom and sides can effectively juice your laptop, phone, tablet, and AirPods or Watch all together. Two of the USB-C ports can output up to 140W, letting you divert full power to a single laptop, while a third USB-C port caps at 20W, and the USB-A port caps at 18W. Plug multiple devices in and the SWIFT PRO automatically adjusts power delivery to each device, ensuring that all your gadgets get the right amount of fast-charging capacity. The charger will also intuitively cap the power to match your device’s highest charging requirements, protecting your gadgets from damage.

The AC outlet on the front outputs 1000W at 100V and 2500W at 250V, complying with global standards. The 140W gets distributed between the USB ports. The SWIFT PRO is perfect for charging all your gadgets, whether it’s the traditional laptop, tablet, phone, watch, and TWS earbuds, or even a drone, camera, handheld gaming device, hairdryer, or electric razor. A 10A dual-fuse keeps your devices safe from surges, and the GaN semiconductor doesn’t heat up as much as silicon carbide, ensuring efficient power delivery.

The SWIFT PRO comes in 3 color options, white, black, and tinted transparent. The travel adapter measures 3.5 inches tall, 1.9 inches wide, 2.1 inches deep, making it small enough to easily travel with. Each SWIFT PRO also ships with a small travel pouch for your adapter, and a lanyard cable that opens up to transform into a USB-C to USB-C charging cable just in case you end up running short! The SWIFT PRO is priced at a discounted $68 and ships globally starting July 2024.

This Hexagonal-Shaped Apartment Building Transforms Communal Living In Germany

Nestled in the city of Munich, Germany is an innovative architectural structure that intends to transform communal living. Designed by German architectural firm Peter Haimerl Architektur, the building is known as the Clusterwohnen Wabenhaus or the Honeycomb House. This interesting house is a representation of communal harmony and efficiency. The Honeycomb House features an ingenious apartment layout which is a far cry from traditional homes. Every apartment has hexagon-framed rooms, which seem to give the impression of spaciousness, even more than they are. Sloping ceilings and usable floor area mark the apartments, allowing residents to fully utilize storage along the interior walls.

Designer: Peter Haimerl Architektur

The sloping walls of the apartments incorporate space-saving furniture designs like shelves, sofas, floating beds, seating, dining tables, and wardrobes. The apartments also include European wall kitchens, spacious outdoor balconies, and hidden bathrooms. The unique honeycomb shape of the homes not only elevates the spatial orientation but also leads to optimum natural light diffusion. The primary spatial axis is aligned longitudinally to the facade, which allows daylight to flow in freely.

The Honeycomb House is designed to create a whole new communal living space, with a central hub serving as the center of life. This ideology merges the boundaries between individual 1, 2, 3, and 4-room apartments, creating a sense of harmony and community between the residents. It allows the residents to have a shared living experience, with privacy as well. The shared gathering zone helps facilitate a sense of harmony. This space is anchored by a staircase that connects all the apartments, and the common areas.

The Honeycomb House is not only a beautiful example of communal living, but it also has a lot of economic and sustainable benefits to it. The apartments reduce down on walls and instead incorporate sloping planes, which have more economic value, without compromising on the quality of life. The modules are prefabricated hence making them even more economically viable, cutting down on construction waste, and streamlining the entire building process. The House features rooftop gardens and communal kitchens which fosters an attitude of sustainability.

Experimental chair by Ahn Kihyun lets you keep eggs from cracking

When looking for a chair, of course what you want is for something that you can sit on comfortably. Depending also on your budget or on your space, you probably don’t really care much about the design of it as long as it is able to perform its main function which is that you can sit on it. But there are some chairs that are not just functional. In fact, sitting on it may not be the only purpose of it but it becomes a piece of art, or in this case, even performance art.

Designer: Ahn Kihyun

The Halfway Serious chair will probably not make you comfortable and will even make you anxious if you’re that kind of person. But what it will definitely do is make the “mundane” act of sitting more interesting and more challenging. Aside from the actual seat, it uses a gimbal structure so you have to balance sitting on the chair so that the eggs placed on either end will not drop and become a yolky mess. Of course you don’t need to really put actual raw eggs but that defeats the purpose of the chair, which is to balance it out.

Designer Ahn Kihyun is known for his experimental designs for alternative furniture or “anti-furniture”. He believes that by adding elements to his pieces that give different experiences to the users, the act of using it can actually become a sort of performance art. For this particular piece, he made the egg container at either end of the gimbal look like an island. But with the addition of the chair in the middle, which looks like an ordinary bench on its own, you are able to tell a different story.

It would be interesting to sit on something like this although as a person with a balance problem, the eggs will probably not be long for this world. As its name suggests, Halfway Serious will not be an actual chair that you can sit on every day but something that belongs in a museum or a space meant to invite people to try it out and see if you can keep the eggs from cracking on the floor.

The Keyper is a casual adventure game for Playdate that unexpectedly made me cry

Sometimes it’s the simplest games that end up leaving you all teary-eyed and emotional.

When I first downloaded Cool Lemon Club’s The Keyper for Playdate, I didn’t have much in the way of expectations beyond a general sense that it should be pretty good, since lots of people online seemed to be recommending it. The adventure game, which is available on itch.io and the official Playdate Catalog, sees the player searching for the many different keys needed to unlock areas of the mysterious Winchester 21 building after taking over the role of caretaker. The person who formerly held the job is gone, leaving only some cryptic notes behind, and the residents are varying degrees of weird.

On its face, it seems like a pretty standard game of puzzle solving and exploration. It’s effectively frustrating throughout, as you repeatedly retrace your steps trying to navigate the Winchester 21’s several floors and labyrinthine tunnel system to find the keys and the doors they unlock. But as the plot unfolds and you uncover more of the building’s secrets, The Keyper reveals itself to be a game with a lot of heart.

Its charm lies in the strange interactions between you and the people who live in the apartments (and tunnels… and walls) of the Winchester 21. They each have their own little storylines, some of which present new mysteries and side-quests for you to take on. One of these in particular really tugged at my heartstrings, but I wouldn’t dare spoil it for you here.

The Keyper is a little dark, a little funny and just the right amount of challenging. While it does offer the option to save your progress so you can walk away from it and come back later, I’d recommend setting aside a few hours and just playing this through in one shot for the most impact. By the time you reach the end and finally figure out what’s been going on all along, the entire tone of the game has shifted into something a lot more heartwarming than it all first appears. I may even have cried a little during the final scene.

Keychron B1 Pro: Ultra-Thin Wireless Keyboard for Minimalists on the Go

It may not have the mechanical joy that the Lofree EDGE offered as the world’s slimmest mechanical keyboard, but the Keychron B1 Pro does offer an incredibly slim design that’s portable enough to slide right into your backpack. Boasting a minimal aesthetic bundled within a portable design, the B1 Pro is an ultra-slim wireless keyboard that comes with a whopping 1200 battery life and a rather commendable $39.99 price tag.

Designer: Keychron

The B1 Pro deviates from Keychron’s usual mechanical keyboards by opting for scissor-switch keys, similar to those found on laptops. This design keeps the profile incredibly thin, measuring just 5.2mm at the front and reaching a maximum height of 14.5mm. It’s incredibly lightweight too, at only 425g, making it a perfect companion for tossing in your bag and working from anywhere.

Despite its slim profile, the B1 Pro doesn’t compromise on performance. With a 1000Hz polling rate on the 2.4GHz wireless connection, you can expect smooth and responsive typing. It also offers Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, allowing you to seamlessly pair it with multiple devices. This is also accompanied by a battery life of a staggering 1200 hours on a single charge. Translated to real-world use, that translates to roughly 8 months of typing for 5 hours a day – a near elimination of charging woes.

The keyboard has a Mac layout while remaining functional with Windows and Linux. It even features the same multimedia and function key functions as Apple keyboards, providing a familiar experience for Mac users with the added benefit of a more comfortable typing experience thanks to the scissor-switch keys. For added comfort during extended typing sessions, the B1 Pro features a 3.2-degree tilt angle and concave keycaps designed to improve accuracy. It even comes with a dedicated emoji shortcut key and a protective silicone keycap cover for increased durability.

The B1 Pro supports ZMK firmware, allowing users to program keys, macros, and shortcuts directly through a web interface. This eliminates the need for complex software installations and provides a user-friendly way to tailor the keyboard to your specific needs.

At an affordable price point of $39.99, the Keychron B1 Pro offers a compelling combination of portability, functionality, and battery life. Whether you’re a minimalist on the go, a student juggling classes, or someone who simply prefers a low-profile keyboard, the B1 Pro is definitely worth considering.

This pedal-powered exerciser is your portable power bank for blackouts

We are living in a vulnerable world where a disaster can strike at any time, without the slightest warning. While power outages as a result of damage to equipment, failure at the end of the provider, or some fault at home are common; outages because of disasters are still rare. In spite of this, governments globally are advising citizens to take simple steps to prepare for power emergencies. To help you through different types of blackouts, the HR Bank is made to provide power independence at any given time and space.

This portable power bank ensures continuous energy at home with comfort and security that you can trust with your family. The versatile power storage device is imagined to store power from almost every possible – renewal or non-renewal – source. The device stores excess energy in its internal 2kWh battery from solar panels and wind turbines and then helps power your home, appliance, and more during blackouts.

Designer: Lukas Avenas

The most interesting part about thee HR Bank is its human-powered ability. When the external energy source is unavailable, the user can pedal this power bank like an exercise bike to generate clean power. With its ability to double up as an exerciser, the HR Bank promotes fitness and can also become a dynamic workstation in minutes using an optional table contraption.

The HR Bank thus functions as a large power bank that can store energy from external power sources or generate its own electricity through pedaling. Through workout, while working on your system, you can generate 50-500 Wh of energy to power your smartphones, laptops or other devices. This robust and customizable power bank cum exerciser can keep you fit and power a smartphone to full charge on 15 minutes of pedaling, while pedaling it for one hour straight can generate enough power to juice up a laptop.

The body of the HR Bank is made of aluminum (for its durability, versatility, and infinite recyclability properties) and it features an electric motor by Tukas EV. Other materials comprising the pedals, saddle, and handlebar are made from birch plywood, vegan leather, and natural leather. The entire HR Bank is highly adjustable so people of all heights can use it by adjusting the saddle, handlebar, or pedal position to their liking. With the handlebars and saddle removed, this power bank cum exerciser can pack up into a size of regular luggage for easy storage or transportation.

Boeing’s Starliner has two more chances this week to make its first crewed flight

After yesterday’s launch of the first crewed Starliner mission was scrubbed, NASA, Boeing and ULA made the decision to wait a few days before making another attempt. Starliner was scheduled to finally lift off on Saturday afternoon after a series of delays, but this attempt was aborted due to a last-minute issue with a ground computer system that plays a key role in launching the rocket. While NASA and partners discussed possibly flying today following their assessment of the issue, they’ve decided to hold off until the next opportunities, either on June 5 or 6.

Saturday’s launch wasn’t scrubbed due to a problem with the Starliner craft itself, but because an automatic hold was issued by the ground launch sequencer for a then-unknown reason. In a press conference later on Saturday, Tory Bruno, president and CEO of ULA explained that it came down to a problem in verifying the launch sequencer’s redundancy. There are three large computers in this system, all of which are the same so it’s “triple redundant,” Bruno said. During the system health check in the minutes before launch, one of the computers came up slow, triggering an automatic hold.

NASA said the decision to forgo today’s launch attempt was made in order to “give the team additional time to assess a ground support equipment issue.” The launch window opens again on June 5, but no target liftoff time has been announced just yet. If Starliner doesn’t fly by June 6, it’ll be set back by at least another 10 days, ArsTechnica reports, as the ULA team will need to swap out the Atlas V rocket’s batteries.

Why Onitsuka Tiger MEXICO 66 SD Sneakers are the Ultimate Choice for Style and Comfort

The Onitsuka Tiger MEXICO 66 SD shoes perfectly blend classic style and modern flair, making them an exciting choice for anyone who wants to step up their sneaker game. These shoes come in various colors, so there’s something for everyone, but let me tell you why I picked the green ones—they’re just too cool to pass up.

First off, let’s talk about the color. The MEXICO 66 SD in green features a striking mix of green, red, and yellow on a creamy white background. The green and red stripes on the sides really pop, giving the shoes a vibrant, sporty look without being over the top. They’re like a burst of energy for your feet!

Premium Materials and Superior Comfort

The upper part of the shoe is made from high-quality goat leather. This means they’re soft, comfy, and tough enough to handle daily wear and tear. The leather gives them a premium feel, so you can easily rock these sneakers for different occasions, whether heading to a casual hangout or a more stylish event. Goat leather is known for its softness and flexibility, making it an excellent choice for shoes that need to be durable and comfortable.

Onitsuka Tiger MEXICO 66 SD: ColorsBIRCH/GREEN

One of my favorite features is the OrthoLite liner. This plush insole offers incredible cushioning and support, making these shoes super comfortable for all-day wear. Here’s the kicker: these are the first pair of sneakers I’ve found that are perfect for going sockless. I’m unsure if this is by design or an unintended feature, but the MEXICO 66 SD ticks all the boxes for sockless comfort. First, the liner is designed to keep your feet comfortable all day, making it feel like you’re walking on clouds. The antimicrobial properties of the OrthoLite insole also help keep your feet fresh and reduce odor, which is especially important when you’re going sockless.

The soft goat leather upper is another critical factor. It’s gentle on your feet, reducing the risk of blisters and discomfort often resulting from going sockless. The interior lining is smooth and supportive, preventing the sidewalls from wrinkling or crumbling, which can be a significant issue with other sneakers. The overall design and material choices make these shoes a dream to wear with no-show socks or none at all. The leather molds to your foot over time, enhancing the fit and comfort with each wear, making these shoes an excellent long-term investment for your wardrobe.

Real-World Durability and Versatility

Onitsuka Tiger MEXICO 66 SD: ColorsBIRCH/GREEN + Onewheel Pint X

I don’t baby these shoes, and they remain looking great after all kinds of use. Whether it’s sessions on the rowing machine, yard work, or riding around on my Onewheel, these shoes handle it all. On the Onewheel, the flat soles are perfect. They allow me to feel the board, make tiny adjustments quickly, and maintain balance effortlessly. The minimalist design also makes them my go-to shoes for driving. The soles offer an excellent pedal feel, making driving a more connected experience.

If you’re spending almost $200 on these shoes, they must look good and perform well in different situations. The durable materials and robust construction ensure they withstand rough and frequent use. After all these activities, from intense workouts to outdoor chores, the MEXICO 66 SD still looks fresh and stylish. The combination of a comfortable fit, excellent support, and sturdy build makes them versatile enough to handle any challenge while maintaining their sleek appearance.

Detailed Craftsmanship and Versatile Colorways

The branding on these shoes is spot-on. The Onitsuka Tiger logo is perfectly placed on the tongue, heel, and top eyelet. The tongue has the classic red label with the Onitsuka Tiger name, and there’s a cool yellow tab on the heel with the Tiger logo. These little touches add to the overall style and make the shoes easily recognizable.

Another highlight is the rubber sole. It’s designed to provide excellent grip and stability, so you won’t have to worry about slipping, no matter where you are. Plus, the low-profile design keeps the shoes looking sleek and modern, making them a versatile addition to your wardrobe. The tread pattern on the sole ensures reliable traction, whether navigating city streets or taking a casual hike.

Let’s explore some details that make these shoes stand out. The stitching and paneling are top-notch, adding durability and a touch of flair. The precise stitching reinforces the shoe’s structure and showcases the quality of craftsmanship. You can tell a lot of thought went into making these shoes as durable as they are stylish. The multi-panel construction enhances the shoe’s durability and provides flexibility, ensuring each step is comfortable and natural.

From a top-down view, the laces are threaded through metal eyelets, ensuring a secure fit. The high-quality laces stay tied, so you won’t have to worry about them coming undone during your day. This practical feature keeps the sporty look intact while making the shoes perfect for everyday wear. The metal eyelets also add a touch of sophistication, complementing the shoe’s overall design.

The back of the shoe features crisscrossing stripes around the heel, adding depth and texture. The yellow heel tab isn’t just for looks—it’s a handy pull tab that makes putting on these shoes a breeze. Every detail has been considered to ensure these shoes are functional and fashionable.

While I chose the green design because it’s my favorite color, the MEXICO 66 SD line offers many other fabulous colorways. There’s the classic navy blue and white combo, which is timeless and versatile. If you want to make a bold statement, the vibrant yellow with black stripes is sure to turn heads. For a more minimalist look, the all-white version is sleek and sophisticated. Dark navy is another excellent option, providing a rich tone that pairs well with various outfits.

Onitsuka Tiger MEXICO 66 SD: ColorsWHITE/DIRECTOIRE BLUE

Other excellent options include beige and brown for a natural, earthy vibe and a sporty white base with blue and red stripes. Check out the beige design with green or orange stripes if you want something unique. There’s even a beige version with brown and green accents, adding a subtle yet distinctive touch.

Each colorway has the same high-quality leather upper and OrthoLite liner for comfort and durability. The variety of colors means you can find a pair that perfectly fits your style. Whether you’re out for a casual day or need reliable shoes for light activities, the MEXICO 66 SD delivers performance and style. These shoes are a fun and exciting choice for anyone looking to add a versatile, stylish sneaker to their collection.

Historical Value and Iconic Design

The MEXICO 66 line carries a rich history that dates back to the origins of the Onitsuka Tiger brand. Onitsuka Tiger was founded in 1949 by Kihachiro Onitsuka with the mission to promote health through sports. The brand quickly gained a reputation for its innovative designs and high-quality footwear.

The original MEXICO 66 debuted in 1966 and was introduced ahead of the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. It was the first shoe to feature the now-iconic Onitsuka Tiger stripes, symbolizing the brand’s commitment to quality and performance. Athletes worldwide wore the MEXICO 66, and it became a staple in both the sports and fashion industries.
