She designed the pieces for GANDIABLASCO, and the two-piece set features a sculptural and artistic beauty to it. Through the table and the stool, she wanted to explore textile architecture on a smaller and more manageable scale.

Why is it noteworthy?

“The image of the weightlessness of bodies held in space and the intention to explore structural fabrics became the guiding light of the project. Through R24 I evoke sensations and images like the evanescence of a bailiff’s wing. It is a useful object and it is also a work in space,” said Valentini.

Designed by Olivier Gomis, this mind-boggling coffee table is his effort to transform the hypothetical wormhole into a physical manifestation. Wormholes are supposed to connect two disparate points in spacetime via a tunnel, and this coffee table is what a wormhole would look like if it ever became tangible!

Why is it noteworthy?

The table looks like a wooden plank that has been bent, allowing both ends to be placed on top of each other. They are joined together by a double cone and then glued together with sheets of maple veneer, which look like faint light lines that seem to form the grid.

What we like

  • The center of the hole features a lamp, which gives the table a rather creepy appearance in the dark

What we dislike

  • Since it has a downward curve, the objects could roll inside

9. Orbit Coffee Table

The Orbit Coffee Table is really an interesting one. It includes interloping and multicolored legs, and it is inspired by the orbits you find in outer space. Think of the images in your school textbooks, the ones involving planets orbiting around the sun, and you’ll realize how similar this furniture design is to them!

Why is it noteworthy?

The Orbit Coffee Table includes a round glass tabletop, which is supported by three oscillating glass tubes. The glass tubes intertwine, forming an interesting visual mesh, and each of them has a different color, creating a vibrant colorful sight!

Named the Circus coffee table, this unique conceptual design is created to bring people together in an interactive, fun, and active manner. Sergii Gordieiev aka The Q on YouTube is known for his ingenious and out-of-the-box bicycle designs, and this time he is back with a bicycle with treads instead of wheels! The handlebars, frame, and seat have all been assembled from scratch to accommodate the other not-so-ordinary elements of the custom bike. The body features a lower profile at the rear than the front fork. The handlebar and the cushioned seating are aligned, making the bike comfy to fit on, however, with those treads constantly moving, I wonder how comfy this bike might be.

5. Moccle

Dubbed the Moccle, this rather adorable-looking bicycle with a fun and unique aesthetic, is designed to help you truly enjoy riding. The simple bike isn’t equipped with gears, a dashboard, or even shock absorbers, but it does have a bent-wood frame to absorb shock. The bent plywood frame is fixed in place with the help of a metal fixture, and this frame flexes when pressurized, absorbing any stress from bad rocky terrains or undulating surfaces. The Moccle truly brings back the joy of old-school peddling!

6. Gordieiev’s Bicycle with Square Wheels

Meet another spectacular creation by Sergii Gordieiev – a bicycle with square wheels! This innovative bicycle features wheels that don’t roll, but instead, they move on a conveyor belt-like platform that rotates as you hit your foot on the pedal. The best imagery to understand how it works would be to imagine war tanks moving on their metal tracks without any wheels, except in this case it is a cycle and the wheels are square-shaped!

It features a lovely purple frame that draws inspiration from Arpeggio – the famous Nespresso coffee, while the bell looks like a coffee capsule!

Named the Wing Cycle, this beautiful roadster bike is inspired by avians! It doesn’t go for the traditional diamond shape and instead adopts a form inspired by a bird wing. It features a material palette of chrome, leather, and wood, creating a sleek and skeletal bicycle that grabs attention.

Stephan Henrich designed an innovative and uniquely shaped bicycle called the Infinity All-Wheel Drive Bicycle. It is one of the most out-of-the-box automotive designs I’ve seen in a while, and it moves forward with the help of a monotyre-clip chain system that creates a temporary rim in the wheel sections as well as a dental belt drive in the interior groove. The unique bicycle sets into motion using a short chain, and an 8-speed gearbox which is unlike anything we’ve seen before.

Designed by the Q, this mind-boggling bicycle is equipped with triangle-shaped wheels. It is a cleverly designed bicycle that moves in a linear form, creating adjacent lines between each of the rollers, and the flat surface it is riding on. And, we’ve put together a collection of stool designs that not only provide a healthy seating experience while promoting a good and stable posture but most of them are created from sustainable materials as well. From a minimal stackable stool with slim wooden legs to a stool made from recycled bike parts – these well-designed stools are the furniture pieces you need to add to your home.

1. Drum Stool

Dubbed the Drum Stool, this stackable, minimal, and sustainable stool looks like a cute little wine cork when you first look at it. The stools feature slanted legs which offer it a usual and unique shape, which brings to mind the image of the original bike frames they were taken from. The three plywood strips can be split into 6 total parts, forming individual parts that are built using high pressure, causing the plywood to bend and retain its shape. The cutting processes are performed on the parts allowing them to interlock into one another.
