This fashion-forward eyewear makes use of PhysioMorphic Geometry and is based on the acclaimed Kato model. The former ensures a natural fit around the face for a wide level of coverage. It’s a celebration of one of the most iconic partnerships in motorsport history—TAG Heuer and Porsche—brought to life through an exquisite design that pays homage to the legendary Carrera Panamericana race. Limited to only 255 pieces, this 42mm watch is a tribute to the boldness and adventurous spirit that have defined these two brands for decades.

Taking inspiration from the Porsche 550 Spyder, a car that left its mark on the 1954 Carrera Panamericana, this new timepiece seamlessly reflects the character of TAG Heuer’s watchmaking mastery and Porsche’s racing heritage. The skeletonized dial draws inspiration from the 550 Spyder’s iconic wheels, while the silver-tone nods to the base color of the victorious 1954 racer. Accents in bold yellow, alongside deep black subdials, recall the ’55’ number that adorned the car, enhanced by the striking livery images showcasing the number ’55’ throughout this timepiece, reinforcing the link to the original race’s winning details.

Toyota’s New Hydrogen Cartridges Could Make EV Charging Obsolete

Toyota is transforming the way we think about energy. No longer just focused on automobiles, the company is exploring new avenues to make hydrogen a mainstream energy source for a wide range of uses. This October, at Japan Mobility Bizweek, Toyota will unveil its portable hydrogen cartridges for the first time. These cartridges have been designed with both functionality and aesthetics in mind. With a sleek cylindrical form reminiscent of oversized AA batteries, the design prioritizes portability and ease of use. The clean, minimalistic lines and ergonomic handles ensure the cartridges are easy to carry and seamlessly integrated into various environments, from automotive applications to home use. Toyota will unveil its portable hydrogen cartridges, showcasing them for the first time between October 15th and 18th. These cartridges are set to revolutionize hydrogen energy by providing a swappable and portable power solution for next-generation fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs).

Initially developed by Woven, Toyota’s mobility technology subsidiary, these cartridges have evolved significantly since their first prototype in 2022. Today, they are lighter, more compact, and convenient to transport—qualities honed through Toyota’s extensive experience refining hydrogen storage for its fuel cell vehicles. The tailored equipment encompasses a range of advanced solutions for specific firefighting scenarios. This includes full-body protective gear with a multi-functional helmet featuring heads-up display (HUD), communication systems, nightlight, respirator, and environmental detectors. Additional features include an emergency fire cover, oxygen cylinder, coolant valve, vital signs monitoring, protective clothing, and a powered exoskeleton for better mobility and protection. GameSir Tarantula Pro controller has a clever solution to button layout problems

Although there were a handful of gaming consoles at one point in history, the industry has more or less settled upon two major platforms, both of which have their own game controller design. The continued success of the Nintendo Switch gave rise to a third brand and a third controller layout, though it closely resembled the Microsoft Xbox controller layout except for one important aspect: the face or “ABXY” buttons. This means that the same wireless controller could be used for both the Nintendo Switch and Xbox-compatible games (presuming it supported both technologies), but you have to remember to switch layouts and, more importantly, not be confused by the letters on the buttons. Thankfully, this controller design has a curious fix for that.

Truth be told, it’s not that hard to change button layouts for controllers that support switching back and forth between different platforms. What’s tricky, however, is to remember which layout is active at the time, which is hard to determine simply by looking at the controller. After all, even if you swap the function of the A and B buttons, the markings on them remain the same. That is unless you use the GameSir Tarantula Pro.

At first glance, the controller looks like any PlayStation-style controller, just overloaded with decals, RGB lighting, buttons, and switches. It has, however, a rather unique mechanism where a sequence of buttons activates a gear that changes the letters and layout on the face buttons from the four colors of an Xbox-compatible controller to the monochrome style for the Switch. You can even peek at the gear that turns to make this switch, no pun intended, through a small transparent window on one of the right-side handles.

Beyond this, the GameSir Tarantula Pro is actually full of additional features, like no less than 9 buttons you can map to different actions, four switches on the back for turning certain functions on or off, and, of course, some RGB lighting to add flavor to your gaming. That said, the compatibility of the controller is limited to PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. No Xbox officially on the list, despite supporting that standard Xbox ABXY layout.

Even more ironic is that the controller itself is shaped like a stereotypical PlayStation controller, with long vertical handles and joysticks at the center. This is still one of the biggest schisms between consoles that prevent the design of a universal controller. Unfortunately, it’s also something that a shifting mechanism can’t easily solve just yet.

Goldfinger will rekindle so many memories in numerous 007 fans. The cars, the music, and the one-liners of this first Bond blockbuster, and perhaps to date, the most revered James Bond movie, live on with us since the 1964 film was released. Now, to mark its 60th anniversary, Globe-Trotter has made a limited-edition suitcase collection that all bond fans would want to lay their hands on, if their budget permits that is!

The James Bond Carry-On Trolley Case is inspired by the gadget-packed Silver Birch Aston Martin DB5 and the grey and white glen check three-piece suit in which Bond drove the DB5. The modern luggage with hints of the iconic past will be released in an exclusive limited edition of 60 examples only.

Globe-Trotter has made the suitcase worthy of James Bond from vulcanized fiberboard panels, a material first invented in the 1850s, with properties stronger than leather and as light as aluminum.
