LEGO Meets Luggage – Onli Travel’s Trilogy Bags Snap Together to become the Ultimate All-in-one Bag

Five years ago Dave Logan designed what we called the ‘only bag you’ll ever need’… now he’s back with an even better redesign.

Logan’s bags (designed under the moniker Onli Travel) had one uniting design detail that made them spectacular – they were like the Power Rangers, independently capable, but also had the ability to unite and become better than the sum of their parts. Onli Travel’s latest design, dubbed the Trilogy, builds on that concept. Made of three distinct parts – a spinner (or a trolley bag), a tote, and a daypack – the Trilogy can be used independently as regular pieces of luggage, paired with one another to create unique combinations based on your need, or all joined together like a club-sandwich that lets you practically carry your life with you in one single cohesive unit.

Designer: Dave Logan

Click Here to Buy Now: $269 $399 ($130 off). Hurry, only 5/65 left! Raised over $59,000.

Ask anyone who travels a lot what their secret to effectively carrying stuff is, and they’ll answer – modularity. It’s simple – one size never fits all, and if your bag is a standard bag that’s rigid in its offerings, it won’t help you. Different people have different needs, and sometimes those needs also change based on mood, scenario, and time of the day. A modular carrying solution is the best way give people what they want, sort of like having a smartphone where people can install the apps they need and not be stuck with the apps you want them to have. Logan’s Trilogy series tries to do that. The three bags are vastly different, made for different scenarios – but they come together when you need them to. Strutting across an airport with your luggage, the bags attach together so you can wheel them as one unit. Scared your laptop bag might get stolen? Zip it off and carry it on your back. Want to unfold everything for the TSA during a security check? The bags are easy to disassemble and lay flat. Boarded your plane late and now don’t have enough space in the stowaway area for your bag? Split them apart so they can jigsaw-piece their way into the overhead storage space. Want to work or watch a movie while flying, one of the bags can literally strap to the back of the seat in front of you, turning into a work-table or entertainment center. All this happens while the Trilogy keeps all your belongings safe, secure, and segregated. Every part of the Onli Travel Trilogy has purpose, and is designed flawlessly to fulfill that purpose… I can’t say that about many other carrying solutions.

Each of the Trilogy’s individual parts is in itself, a complete bag. The spinner, or the trolley case, is perfectly cabin-bag sized, but is spacious enough to carry your luggage comfortably. It’s designed to be expandable, should you need to carry more, and has a mild wedge-shaped profile that allows it to easily tuck under seats of airplanes, just in case the overhead cabins are full. The spinner comes with a fabric construction, but boasts a reinforced top so you can rest a backpack on it while walking through the airport, as well as reinforced sides so the spinner holds its shape remarkably well. On the inside, you have ample space for your stuff, and Onli Travels even has a compatible modular cube packing system for seamless organizing. There are pouches/pockets on the outside too, for storing easy-access belongings like important documents, an umbrella, or a bottle of water. To make carrying the spinner easy, it comes with handles on three sides… and if the spinner’s storage isn’t enough, let’s not forget that it lets you snap two extra bags to it – the daypack, and the tote.

The Expandable Tote and the Weekender Daypack are similar in format – but are designed for different purposes. The Daypack, as its name suggests, is for day-trips, while the tote is the perfect bag to have on yourself for work, commutes, or even stepping out to hit a cafe. The tote is styled to be carried on one shoulder, but can be worn as a backpack too. It’s big enough to comfortably fit a 17” laptop, has pockets on the front and side for storing multiple belongings, and has an expandable design that accommodates more just in case the existing storage isn’t enough. While traveling, the tote can be attached to a seat in front of you using a set of straps, and a zip-down shelf on the top gives you a small yet convenient tabletop surface that fits an iPad or a small tiffin box perfectly. Overall, the tote’s designed with waterproof fabric, has lockable zippers, and even boasts RFID protection against digital theft.

The Weekender Daypack is just as efficient as the Tote, but think of it as your bag for out-of-city trips. It comes with shoulder as well as sternum straps, has ample storage, boasts an expandable design, and even has underpack storage for items like a rolled-up sleeping bag, yoga mat, etc. The bag’s clamshell zippers allow it to open absolutely flat (perfect for TSA inspection), revealing the inner storage compartment that is big enough to house a 17” laptop comfortably, along with an iPad or tablet. The daypack also comes with its fair share of pockets for storing all your belongings, making it just the right bag for a quick getaway or day trip.

The beauty of these bags, regardless of their shape/size/ability, is that they can either work independently, or unite to create ‘super’ bags. Each bag can be attached to the other – so your day-pack can be zipped to your tote for a large shoulder-worn backpack, or to your spinner for a bulky carry-on that can easily be wheeled around everywhere. The tote can fasten to the spinner too, and if you want to join all three together, it’s entirely possible. That particular arrangement is ideal for making sure all your bags are together at all times, but when the going gets tough, each of the bag can separate out, giving you individual compact pieces of luggage that are a little more convenient to manage and access.

The Trilogy set comes in a choice between 3 colors – Black, Blue-Wing Teal, and a Rust-like Zinfandel. The ballistic nylon fabric used on the bags is tough, water-resistant, and can easily endure regular commutes or even rough airport handling. Onli even makes a Trilogy 8-piece packing cube set as an add-on which pairs perfectly with your 3 bags. These packing cubes are perfect for clothes, toiletries, shoes, dirty laundry, precious items, and even your tech gear like chargers, cables, etc. And if you’ve bought Onli Travel’s Revolution bags from its previous campaign, the packing cubes AND the Trilogy bags are backward compatible, allowing you to mix and match to create your perfect piece of luggage. The Trilogy Modular System ships globally starting in late November, so if you grab yours now, you might just have your bags arrive just before you go on holiday!

Louis Vuitton Celebrates Their 20 Year Collaboration With Frank Gehry At Art Basel Paris 2024

For the 2024 edition of Art Basel Paris, which took place from October 18th to October 20th, Louis Vuitton celebrated Frank Gehry and his incredible works. They displayed his massive white fish lamp and other creations inside the Grand Palais. Frank Gehry and Louis Vuitton have collaborated for over 20 years together. Gehry was the brains of the architectural wonder, the Maison Louis Vuitton Seoul, which showcases a stunning glass-covered exterior and fluid lines. Gehry also made a collection of stoppers for the Les Extraits perfume bottles in 2021, and in 2023, Vuitton displayed Gehry’s debut collection of handbags at Art Basel Miami. So it is no surprise, that the brand decided to embellish the Balcon d’Honneur with his lighting design. A wooden arch that Gehry displayed at Gagosian New York is placed around the monumental fish lamp. The arc is built from slats placed in geometric patterns.

Designer: Louis Vuitton x Frank Gehry

The white fish lamp isn’t the only work by Gehry that has been displayed. The lamp is teamed up with many of his collaborations with Louis Vuitton, including the aforementioned handbag range from Art Basel Miami. These beautiful bags are protected by glass, giving visitors a clear and concise vision of them. The bags draw inspiration from the architect’s style and design philosophy, which is marked by flowing lines and ballooned shapes.

The Capucines Mini Blossom and Mini Puzzle bag have been displayed, and other bags such as the Capucines MM Concrete Pockets BB Analog, and BB Shimmer Haze – bags that are inspired by architecture he has designed such as the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, the IAC Building in New York City, and the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle.

Louis Vuitton’s Monogram canvas trunk is iconic, and Frank Gehry designed his version of it in 2014. The collection is called the Celebrating Monogram, and it was unveiled for the Maison’s 160th anniversary. The trunk is called the Twisted Box, and it truly does have a twist, it almost looks kind of deformed, yet appealing. Visitors will get an opportunity to glimpse this unique and iconic trunk design as well.

Experience 360 Degrees of Luxury Sound with the Marantz Grand Horizon

Luxury and cutting-edge audio design converge in the Marantz Grand Horizon and its smaller counterpart, the Horizon. These speakers merge visual sophistication, material innovation, and immersive sound quality, setting a new standard in high-end audio. Reflecting Marantz’s legacy in audio craftsmanship, they combine advanced technology with artistic design for a truly immersive experience.

Designer: Marantz

The Grand Horizon transforms its sound and visual presence by redefining what a speaker can be. The iconic porthole motif, a core element of Marantz’s design language for decades, is embraced in this new offering to deliver a listening experience that is as visually inspiring as it is acoustically impactful.

Model Distinctions: Horizon vs. Grand Horizon

The Marantz Horizon is the smaller of the two models, featuring a 310-watt FTC-rated power output (745 watts peak). It includes a driver configuration of one 165mm subwoofer, two 25mm silk-dome tweeters, and three 50mm full-range drivers. With dimensions of 364 x 210 x 387.5mm (14.33 x 8.27 x 15.26 inches), it is priced at $3,500.

In contrast, the larger model, the Marantz Grand Horizon, boasts a 370-watt FTC-rated power output (860 watts peak). Its driver configuration comprises one 200-mm subwoofer, three 25-mm tweeters, and four 76-mm midrange drivers. Measuring 493 x 255 x 529.2mm (19.41 x 10.04 x 20.83 inches), it is priced at $5,500.

Both models share features such as the circular design, HEOS platform integration, and Marantz Mirage DSP. However, the Grand Horizon is larger and more powerful and offers a more advanced driver configuration, providing a richer audio experience.

Sophisticated Circular Design and Materials

With its circular design, the Grand Horizon draws immediate attention. Unlike most rectangular wireless speakers, its sculptural form makes a bold visual statement in any room. Thesphere’s symmetry, paired with premium materials like natural marble and sustainable fabrics, transforms it into a luxurious art piece that delivers world-class sound.

Wrapped in Marantz’s Radiance 360 Seamless Ecofiber, made from recycled ocean plastics, the Grand Horizon is visually stunning and eco-conscious. The fabric’s intricate texture enhances its aesthetic and diffuses sound, ensuring optimal acoustic performance. This recycled Ecofiber underscores Marantz’s commitment to sustainability while retaining an opulent feel. The fabric’s texture contrasts with the smooth metal accents that form the porthole ring, creating a tactile, luxurious experience.

The marble base, available in different colors to complement each fabric finish, adds a touch of natural elegance. Solid and stable, it elevates the speaker beyond a mere device; it becomes a significant decor element. Each marble base is sculpted to be smooth and substantial, grounding the spherical form and creating an interplay between nature and technology.

Powerful Audio Performance

With its striking design, the Marantz Grand Horizon also delivers serious audio performance. With a 200mm subwoofer, three 25mm tweeters, and four 76mm midrange drivers, it offers deep bass, clear highs, and immersive midrange. This driver array is key to producing the full-bodied sound Marantz is known for—rich, warm, and incredibly lifelike.

The Grand Horizon’s 370-watt amplification is powered by Marantz’s Rise amplification technology, featuring GaN FETs for high power efficiency and reduced thermal distortion. It delivers sound as close as possible to the original recording. Even at high volumes, the Grand Horizon remains poised, delivering uncompromised sound.

A key feature is its ability to adjust and fine-tune the audio experience through Marantz Mirage DSP. Users can personalize the sound by adjusting clarity, warmth, and spaciousness to their preference, ensuring each listening session meets unique tastes. The Sound Master mode offers a refined experience curated by Marantz Sound Master Yoshinori Ogata, bringing out the best in any track.

Interactive and Customizable Design Features

The use of light and motion elevates the Grand Horizon beyond a mere object. The AuraControl system incorporates concealed LEDs that respond to proximity. As someone approaches the speaker, the lights subtly activate, giving the impression that it comes to life, adding an interactive component that feels almost personable. This thoughtful addition sets it apart from other luxury speakers.

This light ring also serves as a touch-sensitive interface, allowing users to adjust the volume by simply running their hand along the edge of the gold ring. This feature feels natural and almost ceremonial—a tactile connection to the sound. It transforms the speaker from a mere device into an experience.

The base, made from natural marble, enhances the speaker’s stature. Different stone types for each colorway—from Midnight Sky’s dark elegance to Marantz Champagne’s warmth—allow the speakers to adapt to various living spaces. They are designed to blend seamlessly into both modern and classic interiors.

Comprehensive Connectivity and Multi-Room Integration

With advanced connectivity features, the Marantz Grand Horizon is as versatile as it is beautiful. The speaker supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2, and Spotify Connect, providing direct access to streaming services such as Amazon Music, Deezer, and TIDAL. Whether it’s a quick Bluetooth pairing for an impromptu playlist or immersing yourself in a high-resolution stream, Marantz ensures accessing your favorite content is effortless.

Physical inputs add flexibility, with stereo RCA, optical, HDMI eARC, and USB-C available to connect to various sources. The HDMI eARC input also supports Dolby decoding, allowing users to experience the nuance of Dolby Atmos content when connected to a compatible display, expanding its use beyond music to home cinema.

Through the HEOS multi-room audio platform, the Grand Horizon can integrate into a broader home audio setup. You can easily sync multiple speakers throughout the home, playing synchronized music in each room or creating unique sound environments in different spaces—all managed through the HEOS app. Its ability to pair with another unit also allows for a true stereo experience, transforming any room into a high-fidelity listening space.

Aesthetics for Any Space

Available in three finishes—Midnight Sky, Moon Ray, and Marantz Champagne—the Grand Horizon and its smaller counterpart, the Horizon, provide a distinct visual identity. Midnight Sky is dark and sleek, exuding sophisticated elegance for minimalist or modernist settings. Moon Ray, by contrast, is a bright, off-white finish that brings a subtle sparkle, ideal for spaces that value lightness and openness. Finally, Marantz Champagne adds warmth and luxurious charm, making it perfect for spaces seeking a more inviting and traditional touch.

What makes it special isn’t solely the material quality but also how each design decision serves form and function. The combination of woven Ecofiber and marble elements shows Marantz’s dedication to crafting a speaker that emphasizes the experience of seeing and touching as much as listening. This philosophy positions the Grand Horizon as more than an audio device but a versatile component of the home’s overall design.

Innovating Sound and Style

The Marantz Grand Horizon redefines what a high-end speaker can be, presenting itself as an acoustic marvel and a design masterpiece. Its unique circular form, sustainable luxury materials, customizable sound tuning, and thoughtful interactivity elevate the typical wireless speaker experience—it embodies Marantz’s blend of heritage and forward-thinking design in home audio.

From motion-activated LEDs to tactile controls in the gold accents, Marantz has crafted a speaker for those who view audio equipment as more than mere utility. It’s a convergence of technology, art, and sustainable design—a statement for any discerning listener seeking luxury without compromise.

Nike’s Sustainable Dumbbells Turn Footwear Waste into Fitness Gear

In an age where sustainability meets everything, why not fitness? Nike has taken a bold step with the introduction of their Nike Grind Dumbbells, a product that marries functionality with an eco-conscious mindset. These dumbbells are not just a tool for training but a statement in Nike’s ongoing commitment to reduce waste and create a better future for both athletes and the planet.

Designer: Nike

At the heart of this innovation is Nike Grind Rubber, a material made from the waste generated during the footwear manufacturing process. Each Nike Grind Dumbbell contains at least 20% of this recycled rubber by volume, making it a sustainable choice for those looking to reduce their carbon footprint while maintaining a rigorous fitness routine. The incorporation of Nike Grind Rubber gives these dumbbells a unique texture—durable and rubbery, built to withstand the toughest of workouts while maintaining comfort and grip. It’s sort of like the KitKat business model. Just like how damaged KitKats get reused as the wafer inner filling for KitKats, the waste from Nike’s footwear business gets used as raw material for its dumbbells.

Nike has paid special attention to the design of the dumbbells, ensuring they are not only functional but also comfortable to use. The handles are ergonomically shaped, with their diameter increasing as the weight goes up, providing a secure and tailored grip no matter the load. For lighter weights, starting at 2.5 lbs and going up to 25 lbs in 2.5-lb increments, the thinner handles offer precision and control. As the weights increase to 50 lbs in 5-lb increments, the handles thicken to match the increased demand for strength and stability, ensuring a comfortable grip for every user.

The medium-knurled handle provides just the right balance of friction and control, making these dumbbells ideal for a wide variety of exercises. Whether you’re pushing through an intense HIIT workout or performing slow, controlled movements, the grip offers confidence and security, allowing you to focus fully on your training.

One of the standout features of the Nike Grind Dumbbells is their versatility. Dumbbells are arguably one of the most essential pieces of equipment in any gym, and Nike’s offering is no exception. These weights support countless workout movements, from compound lifts like squats and lunges to isolation exercises like bicep curls and tricep extensions. The hexagonal rubber construction prevents rolling, making them stable and safe to use on various surfaces, while also protecting floors from damage.

In true Nike fashion, the Nike Grind Dumbbells come with a design flair that sets them apart from other gym equipment. Due to the nature of the recycled material, each set features a unique color blend depending on the footwear colorways Nike produces during any given season. While the base color remains a stylish grey, the Nike Grind particles within the dumbbell vary, making each pair truly one-of-a-kind. This limited-edition aspect of the dumbbells adds a sense of exclusivity for those looking to own a unique piece of Nike’s sustainable innovation.

The Nike Grind Dumbbells are sold in pairs, with pricing ranging from $30 for the 2.5-lb set to $210 for the 50-lb set. Given the combination of quality, durability, and sustainable design, these dumbbells offer excellent value for those serious about their fitness and environmental impact.

Nike’s iconic “Just Do It” slogan has always been about pushing boundaries, whether in sports or in life. With the Nike Grind Dumbbells, that ethos extends to sustainability, offering a product that not only supports your physical training but also contributes to reducing waste. This dumbbell is a perfect fit for athletes who want to make a difference both in their workouts and in the world.

HMD Fusion gets Venom-themed Smart Outfits that transform the phone and change its functionality

HMD Fusion is a new kid on the block but already with so many differences for the user to toil with. Embracing the idea of repairability and taking that notch further with support for ‘Smart Outfits,’ it allows you to clip an outfit – basically a smartphone case – to a pogo pin connector on the back of the phone and change its functionality.

The Finish company is taking advantage of this functionality and is teaming up with Marvel’s Venom: The Last Dance movie and give users an antihero experience to integrate on their phones: An experience not limited to hardware! Meant to transform the HMD Fusion’s functionality and appearance in real-time, the Venom-themed Smart Outfits bring iconic elements from the Venom franchise to the phone.

Designer: HMD

HMD has been away from the top celebrated phone-makers for a while. It has not been a very active player at that, but it’s trying to make some dishevel nonetheless, by giving users the choice of how they wish to use their phones. Customizing the experience with Smart Outfits, such as the three Venom exclusives showcased at the Venom: The Last Dance pop-up event on October 20 and the film’s premier the following day.

Clipping to the back of the Fusion, these Smart Outfits render custom theme, wallpapers, and some famous lines from Venom to put it in the intriguing sphere of the fans and the Marvel franchise to adore. Each of these custom outfits integrates “160 electromagnetic arrays controlling ferrofluid in a glass chamber” to create a venom-like effect on the Fusion’s physical appearance and software; a cool customization!

The customizations include phrases inspired by the movie that go up for instance in the boot up or when a notification sounds. When the device is booted it sounds the phrase “We are Venom,” followed by an animation from the new flick. The phone alerts on an alarm with “Eddie, the time has come,” or “Who sent that thing?” upon receiving a new notification. Interestingly, the Venom-themed HMD Fusion outfit also includes a “We are screwed” ringtone in Venom’s voice.

No matter how fascinating this may all seem, these outfits are only to showcase the unique possibilities of the Fusion and may not see the light of day. However, HMD allows interested ones with some technical skills and access to a 3D printer to create their own outfits or download wallpapers. The latest HMD smartphone is already available in Europe and pre-orders have started in the US.

Sleek clock and wireless charger concept offers a distraction-free experience

Thanks to Apple’s adoption and improvement of the technology, wireless chargers for smartphones have grown and thrived. There are quite a number of different designs, though the majority of them have a common purpose. They make it easy to still use the phone even while charging, or at the very least see its display. That could be useful in some cases but it is Kryptonite for those who actually want to keep their phones out of sight. That’s especially true in bed when phones tempt you to scroll all the way to morning. This concept design proposes a simple yet elegant solution that keeps the phone out of sight while charging but still displays the most important information you need to see at a glance.

Designer: Ahmed Rashad

Although flat horizontal “beds” are the most common design for wireless chargers, the most popular put the phone at an angle so that you can still see the phone’s screen while charging. This position is useful for taking video calls or watching a video, and some even have special modes that show a minimalist UI like a clock. Unfortunately, this also increases the potential for distraction, or at least the temptation to reach out for your phone. You could, of course, simply charge your phone far away, but then you lose access to important and timely information like your next appointment.

This wireless charger concept suggests a solution that is simple yet also ingenious. It combines the functionality of a simple, horizontal wireless charger with a digital clock. The clincher is that the clock also displays data like the weather, today’s most important event, and your next appointment. The concept doesn’t exactly make it explicit, but this information is possibly taken from the charging phone itself, whether through NFC or Bluetooth.

The big difference here is that the wireless charger lies behind the clock, so the phone will not only be hidden from view but also difficult to reach. It puts physical and conceptual barriers that discourage instant gratification by increasing the friction and amount of effort to do that action. The design would be best used on a bedside table, ensuring that the phone is really out of reach but still charging conveniently.

The wireless charging clock also carries a striking aesthetic that will fit many minimalist motifs, including and especially Apple designs. The sleek curve gives it a rather elegant appearance, while the clean and white finish makes it stand out against most furniture colors and materials. There’s also a distinct absence of extraneous features, including buttons aside from the power and charging switches, making the accessory effortless to use.

Smart ceiling fan concept takes its design cues from a customizable smartphone

Home electronics aren’t just getting smarter, their designs are also getting more sophisticated. It’s not just the usual culprits such as lamps and TVs either, as appliances with less presence like air purifiers and speakers become more conspicuous in the space they occupy. Designs vary widely from minimalist to elaborate, though most seem to use nature as a source of inspiration. In contrast, this design concept for a ceiling fan takes a page from a distance cousin in the consumer electronics market, mixing interactive functionality with minimalist aesthetics to provide a user experience that can be personalized to one’s preferences.

Designer: Eshant Kumbhakarn

Nothing’s new sub-brand appropriated the popular “CMF” acronym to indicate its heavy leaning towards a design-centric approach. By putting an emphasis not just on looks but on the color, material, and finish of the design, CMF by Nothing aims to elevate the prestige of products often simply seen as technological tools. So far, the brand’s designs have revolved around making exceptional design more accessible, which is what this ceiling fan concept tries to achieve as well.

FanPro brings that attention to detail to a smart home appliance, one that seems to be the least likely recipient of such a treatment: a ceiling fan. At the same time, however, it also offers the perfect opportunity to put into practice the design theories put forward by CMF. This design, for example, pays close attention to the engineering involved in the design process, making sure that the four blades are precisely angled at 15 degrees for optimal airflow and minimal noise.

A particularly interesting twist to this design is the full screen display on the base that can show not only information like operational modes or the time, it can even show emotions through simplified faces to give the appliance a more personal touch. All these can be controlled through a remote designed with intuitive use in mind. An easily accessed dial, for example, lets you instantly change the fan speed, while navigating menus is done through directional buttons.

The first CMF Phone garnered fame for its modular and customizable design, something that FanPro also adopts both for the fan itself as well as the remote control shell. Although it’s probably not as easy or probably safe to change the fan’s parts, it does leave the door open for more personalized experiences, even if it means just changing colors.

Mech-inspired smartphone Doogee S200 embraces rugged design in an interesting way

Although smartphones are logically designed to be durable and reliable, their premium appearance and elegant aesthetics give these devices a seemingly delicate character. On the opposite end of the spectrum are rugged smartphones designed like tanks and look the part, giving the impression that you can only choose one or the other. There are indeed limitations when it comes to materials that give phones added protection, but with some creative thinking, you can turn that undesirable property into a key feature. That’s exactly what this curious-looking smartphone does, eschewing luxurious aesthetics for a motif that calls to mind the battle-hardened mecha or robots of science fiction. Even better, it can definitely walk the walk as well.

Designer: Doogee

Doogee is one of the remaining smartphone brands that target a niche market that prioritizes durability and longevity over flashy designs and cutting-edge features. Although its early models did exhibit tank-like appearances, it has learned to fine-tune its designs to look more sophisticated without sacrificing its biggest strengths. The Doogee S98, for example, looked like a gadget to be used by secret agents, and that design DNA resurfaces in the brand’s newest product.

Rather than trying hard to reconcile smooth curves with rugged shells, the Doogee S200 embraces sharp angles and straight lines. But rather than leaving them at that, it transforms these design elements into geometric shapes that give the phone a sci-fi vibe, like a panel or piece of a gigantic fighting robot. Of course, that design isn’t just for show, as Doogee took the opportunity to go all out on the materials to give the S200 a much-coveted IP69 and IP69K rating for protection not just against water and dust but also from humidity, sand, and more.

A design element that the Doogee S20 carried over from its predecessors is the 1.32-inch circular AMOLED display on the back, flanked by the phone’s triple camera system and an infrared lamp for improved night sensitivity. It makes the back of the phone truly look futuristic, even if the functionality it offers is just as limited as a smartwatch with a similar circular design. It really drives home the mecha motif, making it look more interesting than other tank-like rugged smartphones.

The Doogee S200 is boasted to be the first 5G phone in Doogee’s S-letter series, which is admittedly not saying much these days. The phone’s specs, as one might expect, are hardly noteworthy, starting with a mid-range MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor. The 12GB of RAM can be boosted to 32GB by taking some space from the already meager 256GB storage. A killer feature, however, is the gigantic 10,100 mAh battery that will unfortunately be throttled by a fast but inadequate 33W charging speed. Given the $400 price tag, however, it’s not such a bad deal, especially if you’re into phones that look like props from fiction.
