So..there's this...thing on Steam, called Mountain. It isn't a game - not really. It's...something strange. Different. Okay, honestly, it's just a mountain that sits around saying sad things sometimes. Yet somehow, it's one of the most curiosly engrossing titles I've encountered this year.

After a wildly successful Kickstarter campaign, Sixense's STEM controller is well on its way to the consumer market. Not content to sit on their laurels, Sixense last week decided to up the hype further, with a series of tech demos that show just what the STEM can do. They're awesome.

A lot of games tend to glorify war to a nearly absurd degree. Not Fritz. Based in World War One, this intelligent, top-down role playing game takes a look at the human side. As the titular soldier, players will step into a world where every choice matters, and even their closest friend might die.

In gaming, even the most fantastic storylines are ultimately rather linear, with player choice generally only coming into play at certain key points. One developer wants to change that. Working with a London-based team, he's managed to invent self-telling stories. Wait, what?

While I can't deny that the Virtuix Omni looks pretty awesome, it's not exactly perfect. Using it requires special anti-friction shoes, and learning the ropes is challenging, at best. With that in mind, I'd like to introduce The Virtualizer: a virtual reality platform you can use in your socks.

To celebrate the release of The Last of Us Remastered, Naughty Dog has made an exciting announcement. For one night only, they'll be putting on a theatrical production of the game, at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica. If you haven't played the game, it could be the next best thing to doing so.

Razer - one of the most widely-known manufacturers of gaming peripherals in the world - had a very exciting announcement to make at this year's Evolution Championship Series: it's released the next iteration of the Atrox Arcade Stick. It looks awesome.
