Here’s something cool in the cooling world, a way to control your air conditioner using your phone. Friedrich is introducing a wi-fi controlling system for their Kuhl Series of window air conditioners. This is definitely a handy feature since while air conditioner remotes are useful, they do have a tendency to get lost temporarily when you are looking for them as well as needing a line of sight to the unit which can mean (gasp!) getting up off the couch. It’s coming out sometime this summer, no price listed yet, and of course you’ll need the proper Kuhl A/C model for it to work. (via uncrate)
