The Best Holiday Gaming Sales

Ps4 Xbox One Sale

The holiday season 2015 is about to fully dawn on us, and that means crazy sales and discounts – especially if you’re a gamer. This is a list of things you should be aware of entering the best season in the year to shop.

With the holiday season 2015 in sight, there are plenty of hot dates to look around if you are looking forward to getting games, systems and accessories on the cheap. Whether you prefer the best-selling console of the generation, the PlayStation 4, the iconic Xbox One, home of Halo, Tomb Raider and Quantum Break, the beloved Wii U for Super Mario Bros and Zelda or the PC because you won’t settle for anything but the best graphics, there are many things you should be aware of.

Steam Sales

If you are interested in PC gaming at all, you know of Steam already. In case you don’t, it’s a digital storefront that sells downloadable games for Windows, Linux and OS X that you can purchase and download at any time through a light-weight program that will install and do all (most) of the hard work for the users so they can just play, Steam is infamous for its crazy sales, where game prices have the potential to get ridiculously low, with up to 90% discount tags. While there are game sales going on all year long, there are two very specific dates users need to be aware of. One is their Halloween sale, which lasts that entire weekend, and the Christmas / New Year sale, which can go on for up to two weeks, and they hit you with new offers every 8 hours – it’s absolutely insane.

Amazon

Amazon is a fantastic alternative for users who would rather buy games on a console, but they also have amazing PC deals going on for the holiday season. Amazon lets users create their own wishlists, and because the prices will always be lower than retail, regular stores, you can get gems like Star Wars Battlefront, Rise of the Tomb Raider or the latest Call of Duty from your home at the most convenient price, or even pre-order them.

Wait for Black Friday

If you’re American, you know about Black Friday. In case you’re not, we’re speaking of the first friday following Thanksgiving, historically the best day for shopping in the year because of the sheer amount of deals and the official beginning of the Christmas shopping season. On this day, regular retailers like Walmart, Gamestop, Target, Toys R’ Us and many, many others will offer special bundles, discounted systems and games, and deals that most of the time are too good to pass up. Some of these can even be taken advantage of internationally, so keep an eye out for the 27th of November of 2015 and browse the web – you never know what you might find.
