Synology has introduced a new 4-bay NAS server ‘DiskStation DS418’ to its range. Designed for home and office users, this 4-bay NAS server is configured with a 1.4GHz Realtek RTD1296 64-bit quad-core processor, a 2GB DDR4 RAM and four 2.5-/3.5-inch SATA HDD/SDD bays (up to 40TB).

Corresponding to real-time 10-bit 4K H.265 video transcoding, the DiskStation DS418 comes with a Kensington Security slot, 2x USB 3.0 ports (front & back), 2x 1GbE RJ-45 ports and 2x built-in 92mm fans.
