Samsung Galaxy Player 4.2 Front

Scheduled to be available on May 13 for $199.99, the new Samsung Galaxy Player 4.2 runs Andorid 2.3 Gingerbread. This device is suitable for whoever wants to experience the Android ecosystem without the cost of smartphone, yet with style. Featuring a 4.2″ display with WVGA (800×480) resolution, this player is more than enough for enjoying videos, games, and browse the world wild web.

The Samsung Galaxy Player 4.2 connects to the net through Wi-Fi that enables users to download unlimited apps from Google Play and specific apps from Samsung Apps Store. In addition to the built-in memory and Micro SD card extension, this player is able to load contents from other devices through USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 3.0. It supports AAC, WMA, MP3 and OGG format music files, as well as MPEG4. H.264 and WMV video files.

Along with this player, Samsung also offers the smaller Galaxy Player 3.6 that is avalable now at Amazon.com for $149.99, but I don’t like it as the screen resolution is only 480×320. Are you feeling lucky? Find the Samsung Galaxy Player 4.2 at Amazon.com
